Cool idea man.
I think a more proffesional design will atrract more people to place bets.
Also, you can make the minimum even lower

I can do graphic design for you.  I'm not very established on the forums so I can do it for a low price.
(it's a win-win, you get a low price and I get more rep on the forums!)
1323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Open Source BTC Lottery... Anyone know where I can find one? on: May 22, 2013, 11:12:06 PM

Original
Yeah!  I've thought about a couple new original names for my new altcoin!
Here they are:
Litecoin 2
Feathercoin 2
Worldcoin 2
"Firecoin 2" 2

Seriously, though, which .cpp files should I change?  I don't want to pay some guy 4 BTC for a scamcoin.  Wink jk

if you want make a new coin not using sha 256 or  scrypt
you have to make a new one on you own

I pretty much want to make a litecoin clone, is there a template somewhere that I can just edit the values?

well, you can go dl litecoin codes and make few changes.
you can also pay to ask someone do it for you

So there is no way I can get it for free?

think about it, if its free. how many more altcoin will be exist right now

good point.  +1
Thanks everyone!
Is there a way to "close" this topic now?

Add a label to the sender's address and wait for the payment.  When it does, the client will notify you.

1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Ripple a Scam? on: May 22, 2013, 08:35:55 PM
There are so many posts saying Ripple is a scam.  Also, some of the adverts say it is a scam.  What's up with Ripple?
If you think it's a scam and have some, why not send me some? --mod note: edited address--

1338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Buckets - A Strategic Bitcoin Betting Game on: May 22, 2013, 08:23:19 PM
Hey everyone, I made a new Bitcoin betting game. Here are the rules:

  • There are three buckets: red, green, and blue.
  • Put your coins in a bucket. Minimum bet is ฿0.01.
  • Every round (~10 minutes) one bucket falls.
  • The coins in that bucket are distributed among the backers of the other buckets.
  • The buckets that did not fall continue into the next round.

The three buckets are:

  • red (42% chance to fall): 1RbucktdB7agZuX1qdjce4PYbURRaezc7
  • green (33% chance to fall): 1GbucketpG4rHKict89wWGJLhM1jD9RCac
  • blue (25% chance to fall): 1Bbucket59CEs93UrZDKeDJ9cETxFEm9xE

You can see more information at Satoshi Buckets. My recommended strategy is to bet on whichever bucket has the highest long-term expected value. (Click on the link to see the calculated expected values.) This game is provably fair! It also doesn't cause blockchain spam, since rounds happen at most once per new block. Try it out!

Non-Newbie version of this thread.

Did you code this yourself?  Pretty cool!
