1321  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of a US Digital Dollar on Crypto? on: March 24, 2022, 07:40:32 PM
like CBDC, digital dollars will not affect the crypto market. I'm even sure that it's not a crypto coin and can't be called a stablecoin either. the technology used is clearly centralized, and that's why digital dollars are not crypto. something that is not crypto will not affect the market. People are already aware of it all so even if it were to be launched today, the crypto market would not react.
I fully see its impact on the cryptocurrency market as well as other financial markets. As far as I know, it is like a national bank's acceptance of crypto market products. Both the US and China understand that it affects the currency itself and the development plan of the country. So let's wait and see what happens with CBDC products.
That is the biggest difference. If you are reaching to a level where it would be beneficial for the fiat world, as much as the crypto world then I would totally understand the difference. But, if we are talking about something that is beneficial for only crypto world then it can't be too successful in the long run. So, in order for CBDC to succeed, we need to get a lot more fiat investors to get into them as well and make it a hyped and wanted thing.

Obviously, we will have a lot of people who are going to be great about this but that doesn't mean that the amount of people who are interested based on the population but it is based on the interest shown. 1 person showing 100 amount of hype is better than 10 people showing 50 total.
1322  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is a part of war now, like it or not on: March 24, 2022, 07:06:29 PM
from the beginning crypto became controversial for many countries, but as long as there was a war when fiat could no longer be used, crypto became an alternative means of payment. Moreover, the swift ban that occurred, for Russian citizens for example, if they travel abroad and their bank is inaccessible, then at least with crypto they can do more, so as not to make them suffer more because of money
That controversy came from mainly the initial usage of crypto. Back in the day we had silk road and crypto was used there, people bought and sold drugs there and there was a stigma around it. This caused many people to learn that about bitcoin for the first time, and then it was a bit harder to crack that and start from the zero and teach them how bitcoin is not a drug money, it is an investment and a currency.

Nowadays, it is easier but politicians are famously slow when they do not want to do something or lobbying doesn't really impact them enough. I am not saying that governments won't make it legal and free, most did, but it will take some time for it to be general rule of thumb.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is staking coins? on: March 24, 2022, 03:09:17 PM
Free mining can sometimes also be a scam in the end so this should also be considered very well by those who want to use their time for mining, because there is no guarantee on any site to keep getting paid when it has been mined for a long time, so mining is not forever free it can pay everyone now.
"Free" anything could turn out to be a scam. I would suggest highly not to go with free anything because if someone is claiming to be free, more often than not they are not free at all. Mining doge could be profitable, you need to check that on mining calculators and if you have a GPU or a rig, then you need to put that in and calculate which coin you should mine. There are a million websites like that which would tell you.

But, I got out of that game long time ago, using that money to buy tokens and staking them is a lot simpler than mining. Sometimes it is even more profitable, but usually it is not. The difference is that there is no risk involved, mining could be a big loss if you face a ton of problems, whereas staking is just staking.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 23, 2022, 09:58:59 PM
London derby between Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur as the key to know which one as latest team finish on 4th standing place between Tottenham or Arsenal beside still have another team from Manchester United or West Ham United, I think 1st, 2nd and 3rd position have locked actually between Manchester City or Liverpool as 1st or 2nd place and Chelsea exactly will locked 3rd position, just leaving 4th position place to know who will success win in this position. I worry with speculative if West Ham United failed on 4th standing place final but success get tittle on EUFA Europe League will useless who as the 4th standing final place Arsenal, Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur, they can't participants on champion league.
Arsenal has a bit of chance, they are missing on one game right now. Which means that if Spurs wins, that would make them 54 points as well but Arsenal has a missing game, with which they could get a tie or a win and still be above Spurs. If Arsenal wins, the difference will be big enough that I would see Spurs fighting for 5th position against United instead of fighting for 4th spot with Arsenal. Obviously we still have a ton of time to go, maybe some other things could happen meanwhile and it will not even matter as much as we think it should. I am not saying that it will not matter at all, but the difference could be bigger or small by then.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 23, 2022, 09:22:53 PM
The meeting of Manchester city and ATM in the quarter-finals of the champions league might be a revenge arena for the English team against the representatives of Spain, because in the last 16 round yesterday, ATM managed to silence Manchester United, but this time ATM faced Manchester City, it is certain that ATM will have difficulty beating Manchester city, because Manchester city plays very consistently and plays very well, both in the champions league and in their domestic league, my prediction is that ATM steps will stop in the quarter-finals, because I am optimistic that Manchester city will be able to qualify for the semi-finals of the champions league.
Man City and Atletico are both strong teams so it will be a little difficult to predict who will come out victorious in the Champions League quarter-final match, but seeing the performance of Man City's team this season is more consistent than Atletico's team, so I will support Man City in that meeting and I believe that they can stop Atlético to the next round, but their Atletico will also not let that win go easily to the Man City team, they will definitely try their best to put pressure on the opposing team.
Putting ATM and City in the same category as good teams would be a bad idea. I would say City is 2x as good as ATM could ever hope to become. I mean even on their greatest day, ATM is not as good as City. This doesn't mean that they can't beat them, just this year we have seen Sheriff, a team nobody knew about, end up beating Real who managed to beat PSG to get here.

So, you can see that sometimes underdogs could win and I get that and ATM could have something like that, they are certainly closer. However, City is the team that has been dominating the premier league for many years now, and managed to also reach finals last year as well. Quite big achievement.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 23, 2022, 08:41:36 PM
Bayern Munich has the financial status to get potential players that they need, and right now they are readying the new contract they will give to Lewandowski, and I think Robert Lewandowski sure can give a price he would like, and not like Dortmund, that they don't have the capacity to rehire Erling Haaland but if Dortmund, with Erling Haaland would have teammates that Lewandowski have then it might be a different story, or we could surely see a good competition between the two.
I believe that Bayern never really did any insanely high priced purchases so far and just got good players that showed themselves in Bundesliga and just kept on going that way and they got a great success out of it. Winning 6 cups in a single season in 2020 was the high point of this. Because of this, they are not looking at players who are 100+ million and they do not aim to get some of the worlds superstars.

Definitely Lewa could be a great one right now, deserved the award really, but they made him into that as well, they are not getting ready made players, they are improving the ones they get. Haaland could be 150+ million and they probably won't even look at him, if they did, they could have afford him and get him and could be so great for them.
1327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 23, 2022, 04:09:02 PM
I'm even bullish that it could go as high as $500k to $1M.  Grin
Well, just like what others have said of every price is possible but we don't know when it's going to happen. I think everyone has that understanding that when bitcoin halving comes, the price really shoots and skyrockets for which gives us the idea on how much it can go. Maybe it won't happen by this year or by next year but maybe after the next halving.
This is not really a bad approach to crypto, I know it may not happen anytime soon but 500k+ and even 1 million is not impossible for bitcoin at all. I believe that it will happen, the only difference is that I believe it will happen 10 years from now and not right now. This is why I am buying bitcoin at all prices without a care.

I bought bitcoin when it was under 10k, bought when it was over 60k, I will keep on buying bitcoin at all prices because I agree with you that it will be 500k+. That means we are going to see more than 10x increase in the next 10 years, and that would result with me being able to live a much better life thanks to that increase.
1328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price. on: March 23, 2022, 02:12:04 PM
The price is somewhere between $39k and $40k but I see there is good progress from bitcoin price to increase more and maybe it could go back to $41k this month.
I prefer to say that we are in the sideways market because the price does not drop and is below $30k but sustains from $30k-$40k and this range is not going to another low or high price.
But it could be wrong since the price can go anywhere without predicting, so we need to be careful.
Price has reached 43k levels and that is a good look for bitcoin for sure. We haven't broken over this price for the longest time and I hope that we can do it this time around but I am not sure if it will happen or not, maybe we will drop from these levels and be a lot worse, I do not know.

In the end, we should be proud that we held on this long, there were plenty of reasons to fall but in the end we didn't really do that and we recovered and reached to a higher level. I agree though, we should be a lot more careful and that is a much better way, it allows you to learn how we could get a better results when something we did not expected happens.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 22, 2022, 09:32:49 PM
AC, Inter, Napoli and maybe Juventus
I have initially tipped that Inter milan is the favourite to lift the championship and looking at the standing and overall season competition, Inter ought to be the title winners. But it's as if they are not interested. If you have to put the current team form into consideration, Inter is purely out of the contest. With the current team forms, Juventus has the highest chance of going the rest of the league undefeated than other teams. But if Milan manages themselves well, what they need is just consistency to be champions.
Everyone assumed Inter would be the ones to win this year, but it turns out they did not play as well as people hoped they would and in the end they are now fighting for that third spot. Juventus has been great and they are recovering, which is something you would expect from a 10+ time wins in a row type of team.

I get that they made some bad transfers and spent their money on the wrong ways so it is a bit worse for them right now compared to their dominating period. But they are still Juventus and even during their worst year, they are recovering (just like Barcelona). Milan will probably get it this year, napoli at second, and there is even a chance of Juventus being third and Inter fourth (or inter 3 and juve 4).
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 22, 2022, 08:59:53 PM
Leipzig and Freiburg are not only a threat to Leverkusen in the standings, Leipzig and Freiburg will be met with Leverkusen in the Bundesliga continued a match. The points distance between these 3 teams is very close, Freiburg who occupies the fifth position can still replace Leverkusen and Leipzig in the top 4 standings. Leverkusen must always be consistent in the remaining 7 match in order to secure a ticket to the Champions League, while the remaining is still being fought for by Leipzig and Freiburg.
Leverkusen has the chance to be at the third place because they are 3 points ahead and they are doing alright, if they can win against the others they could actually make it to third spot very easily and just stay there.

However, the fourth spot is basically done deal for Leipzig as well, Freiburg could be looking decent for many people but Red Bull is a fierce mindset and they will attack as much as possible to get all the remainder of the games. They will fight for even the third spot, don't know if they can take it but they are known for being a very harsh environment for players to be in because it is always "win first" mentality there.
1331  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine has legalized the cryptosector on: March 22, 2022, 05:53:08 PM
Why do I have this feeling that governments are clowns, it is not limited to any country, they are all the same. The legal proceedings came in when they were on the hot seat, what happen to the process before they were invaded by the Russians. Ukraine was largely donated to by the Bitcoin community, it is time others should follow the legal preparation of Bitcoin before it is too late. I hope Zelensky doesn't change his mind about those bitcoins donated, I trust no government when they sit on their chairs.
Well, I understand what you are trying to say. When it is true that the government are only interested in Bitcoin because of what has started happening in their country. Assuming that there was no war in their country by now it is possible that they wouldn’t have opened their arms to embrace cryptocurrency in their country, and it would have been nothing but a dream.

Since, they have ended up seeing themselves in a really tight position, they have no other option than to do whatever is necessary or possible for them to keep things moving, which adopting cryptocurrency is one of the decisions that they believe they can make at this point. Anyways let's hope that after everything that they continue to allow cryptocurrency as a legal asset in their country.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 21, 2022, 08:46:02 PM
Next week will probably be a decision to get a position in my opinion because they will play at the Giuseppe Meazza and Juventus will come with the status of a team that is quite underdog in my opinion even though they are Away.
Their form is still quite good compared to Inter in the last few weeks and this can be used as a boost of enthusiasm for them.
Hopefully I have something interesting in this meeting and I hope both teams go All Out now because there is no reason for them to hold back
I believe that Inter is the one that is giving away all these points, and not other teams winning. Inter used to be fighting for a title, now they are fighting to keep the third stop and by this time next week we may even see them be fourth in the league as well. I do not know what caused to be this bad, am I missing something? Are they missing someone crucial?

I mean they were the teams to beat just a few weeks ago, like maybe a month ago at most and then suddenly they had 1 win in 5 games, 1 loss and three ties. That's 9 points lost in 15 points and that's a very terrible situation for them. I guess they may eventually recover but it will probably be too late.
1333  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: March 21, 2022, 07:28:04 PM
There are dump soldiers from both sides - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G-n7fdYp_g. You get this from mass media, and they know how to manipulate with opinion. You can search for Russian propaganda and find similar bloopers from Ukrainian army. I can just say that in media war Russia is loosing badly.

I believe that smart people does not participate in war, dont fight. Smart people can solve everything with negotiations. And what we see right now are pawn, that pointlessly and without initiative doing orders like go there, shoot there.

"2 Russian generals". This is not the first time high ranked army serviceman are being killed. There is a rumor, that someone is cleaning this "high management" on purpose to perform takeover authorities.
Anyone who have been watching news for the past 10 years or so while checking social media knows about this. We have been fed lies for decades and decades but we did not know about it. Today we know about it because we can see the real news online in social media. People share the real footage, real situations all on social media and this is why the news you see on TV stations are obviously lie to us now.

The USA has lied to its citizens and the world for decades, literally near 100 years by now, and Russia has done the same thing at least as long, Europe is famously known about lies on other nations. It is normal for us who live in none of these places because they have lied about us at least once, all of them. Now they are doing it to each other.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 21, 2022, 06:59:59 PM
At a time time West Ham was playing well that I was expecting a goal from them, West ham am had chances of scoring but they couldn't make use of the opportunity. Tottenham played a nice game, like I was thinking the match will be a game of draw, but Tottenham performed well to have scored 3 goals.
I get it, people really think that West Ham could recover and get back to being good and it is not a bad expectation. This team was like 4th or 5th for so long that it was something everyone expected for the longest time. But, let's be honest, they are not the same team and they keep losing left and right. Not that they do not win some games, of course they win some games but they also lose a lot and when you want to stay on top you need to win a lot more frequently then you lose, not around the same amount.

Spurs is not like that, they have been on a good roll and I feel like it was expected of them to win this game as well, just not this easily maybe.
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 21, 2022, 04:12:36 PM
We couldn't expect Bitcoin Mass adoption, however, we can't disclose any possibility that it comes in the future. I actually ask some people regarding Bitcoin and to ask what they know about this, I'm glad they heard this word but I'm sad hearing from them saying it was a scam. I could see that the only way to mass adoption is to eliminate the negative mindset of the people first. And showing them the benefits we got from this will help to enlighten their minds and change.
Unfortunately, it used to be called a scam a lot more. I have been here long enough and during 2015-2016 it was called a scam a lot, and before 2015 it was called "drug money" and that was a sad period. Glad we are over that period now and people see it more of a legit investment these days.

I am sure that just like how we have found a lot more people who think of it as a legit investment compared to 5+ years ago, we can do that again and again each 5 years and keep growing our numbers. It will not be easy or quick, but it could happen. Asking people if they accept bitcoin is definitely a great start, would definitely help getting the name out and making shop owners think they could make a good profit from it.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 20, 2022, 08:35:12 PM
If Benzema is absent, then Real Madrid's home match, but Barcelona's chances of winning this match are high. Barcelona is now consistent. Real Madrid, on the other hand, is a strong team though. However, they rely heavily on Benzema to win the match. He helped the team win by scoring in the required time. Real Madrid will not be able to fill this gap if he is absent in today's match.
I doubt that Barcelona would have a "high" chance in any case. This is Real Madrid we are talking about and there is really nothing that is too obvious for that much. Yeah, we are talking about something a bit more challenging for both teams, I wouldn't say there would ever be chance for Real Madrid would ever have a high chance neither. Whenever we are talking about el classico, we are talking about something that is a bit of a problem for both teams. I believe that it will be a hardcore battle, and whoever wins, it will not be easy for them. I believe that whoever wins, it will not really change too much of the rest of the season.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 20, 2022, 06:31:39 PM
Leipzig against Franfurt and Wolfsburg against leverkusen will play today as the closing of the week.
This is an opportunity for Leipzig because indeed they are now only 1 point adrift of Freiburg who are in 4th position and Leverkusen who are in 3rd position.
It might be something interesting if Leipzig managed to win and Leverkusen returned to playing badly because Leipzig could immediately overtake these two clubs for a while.
But Frankfurt also in the last 2 matches they tried their best with 2 wins after losing continuously in several matches
Obviously Leipzig will want to try to do as best as they could. For a team that was that great last year, they will want to get to at least third place of course. Obviously there is a good chance that they could end up losing some points in the coming weeks but they will want to do their best to win this one for sure.

Doesn't mean that they will, but they will have a bit of a hard time in the future so whatever easier game they face, they need to get that three points to be at the top. Becoming third would mean both a lot of money (not that they need it with red bull money) but at the same time would mean getting better players for them as well.
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quit expecting a ETH killer on: March 20, 2022, 01:39:37 PM
Ethereum is very powerful. Even from a few years ago what they said that they would be the 'eth killer' in fact they were just talk.
I'm sure there are many coins that want to replace ethereum from 2017 until now, they think ethereum is worthy to be replaced, in fact they themselves can't afford the extreme market conditions.
So far, ethereum is not only good fundamentally, but it can survive the market weather in any condition, by occupying the 2nd position in coinmarketcap I think it is very difficult to turn off eth.
There have been plenty of situations where a new and emerging coin or even tokens ended up named "eth killer" but we have all seen them die. Most recently, BCH was the "new bitcoin" according to so many people, it is nowhere to be found right now. Remind you, this was a coin that worked itself all the way to third spot and worked its way to beat ETH at one point.

Now, it is not even in top 10 anymore, maybe out of top 20 already I do not know. Which is why I believe that people should never be hyped about emerging coins right now. ADA, SOL, DOT, MATIC, AVAX all are "good" coins, but to be an ETH killer is not easy as being good, you are going to be sustainable as well.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 20, 2022, 06:53:55 AM
Looks as impossible way although what ever happening to Lionel Messi right now he will keep respect with PSG for his contract several years later, I think not easy if Lionel Messi want to close his contract because PSG never agree for Messi back to Barcelona as free transfer player. Still have opportunity for Barcelona getting back Lionel Messi if can pay transfer value and I think will have most expensive and have to spent much money for Barcelona if want to pay Lionel Messi transfer fee and later include with salary receive by Messi with still as expensive for Barcelona.
If it was just one year contract then I would totally see this happening. But they made a 2 years contract with him, first year is now getting close to being over, and then second season will have to be played. After that maybe they will have some sort of deal where he leaves and PSG would be fine with that, even if nothing else they made a ton of jersey sales and earned enough money to be fine with him leaving.

At the end of the day, Barcelona will want Messi to retire there, not going to be easy of course but even if he is 35-36 years old, they will want him to play some games on his last seasons before he retires. So, this may not happen during this summer, but I am sure they will want to make this happen eventually.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 19, 2022, 09:18:11 PM
With only a difference of 4 points in the standings with the Dortmound team, it will reduce Bayern Munich's chances of being able to lift the German league trophy easily this season, if we look at the last 5 matches of the two teams, currently Dortmound's performance is slightly better than Bayern Munich so it is highly demanded Bayern's players will have to go the extra mile to win their remaining 8 games if they are to lift the trophy this season.
The difference is that Bayern already had 2 games that ended with draws. I mean they already spent their bad period and that is understandable, however I do not know what they can do to get even worse from here on out. On the other hand Dortmund took advantage of that, and won those games, but they would need to keep on winning until they are ahead and only lose points when Bayern does after that.

I am not saying that it is impossible but when Bayern already made mistakes and want to recover, and Dortmund haven't in a while, that becomes a bit more complicated. I would expect Dortmund to lose more points than Bayern for the next 2-3 weeks.
