1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's talk about poker! on: April 28, 2017, 03:07:46 AM
I'm playing poker since im 16 (so over 10 years now) and it is for me the one and only game and hobby.
Biggest win was around 15k $ - and many four digit wins.
Live and online are so different, it seems there different games.
I love it and i would recommend everybody to play poker instead of other casino games loke roulette, blackkjack or dice and so on.  Wink

Wow, you're a good player I presume. Are those winnings from live poker games or online poker? I don't play poker too much, let alone gamble on it. I usually just play on my iPhone with free poker games like the one offered by zynga games (not sure if that was the correct name). I'm not too confident in playing skill based gambling.
1322  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker Players: Promo suggestions on: April 28, 2017, 03:02:33 AM
Basically there isn't much sides to a cube, same goes for porker games and any other gambling game. There are only a few things you can offer that ain't already been done. For me, no buy in tournaments and deposit bonuses are on my list. Though maybe we'll see some more creative ideas here.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this man addicted to gambling? on: April 27, 2017, 04:07:40 PM
I think he is in the process of addicted to gambling game. All things that can change the way our mindset then it is a very hard thing not to do (addiction).

He should help himself as no other person can help him. All we can do is make him realize his mistake and his addictions. So what we can do is just talk to him. Change must come from himself and try to get out of an almost addiction that can turn to something really serious.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reason Why Casino Bankrupt? on: April 27, 2017, 03:46:14 PM
In my opinion, casinos go bankrupt is because they don't have enough people playing in their casino and also they don't have the ability to keep the players playing in their casinos. No gamblers, no money/profits. You have to keep them coming, this is really why casinos are spending tons of money in advertising their site and improving it.
You're stating about the casino which is just in its beginning phase. For a well established gambling site, the chances for getting bankruptcy will arrive when gamblers are cracking their secrets like hash generation. Yes I'm speaking from the real time scenario (but fortunately PD survived that).

Another real time example is : devs will be misusing hash algorithm which also will lead to bankruptcy.

That is true, I partly agree with LuanX3 here. Why do you think big casinos still do a lot of advertising? Yes, security is really important since if they have a lot of money in their pockets hackers will want to target them. But if they keep on just securing and not protecting their player base then it will decline and no more players will stay.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: April 27, 2017, 03:27:18 PM
Small investments make sense only if you do it every now and then. Like to make an investment every fortnightly or monthly of some fixed amount.. May be its just 0.01BTC or 0.05BTC. Just one time investment of that much amount will not be any useful for the future.

If you think that making few dollars of 0.01 btc or 0.05 btc might be useful in the future then go for it. You should get better profit in using those to trade rather than let it sit in a gambling site. You wont be making much money and even if you do then you will need to wait quite some time before you actually made it
Perhaps, He will hold bitcoin until bitcoin prices soar. so do not look it in the form of money, remember when bitcoin price $ 220, 0.01btc only $ 2.2  now you can see the current price. small or big isnt a problem as long you can accept it and the investment have big potential.
Actually what johnwest said even though you just invested small amount of btc, you must keep investing your money in every month with fix amount. Investing only 0.01 btc and wait for bitcoin price rises is not a good idea. When bitcoin price still $220? It was around 2 years ago and you only "profited" $11.2 (1$13.2-$2.2), this amount doesn't worth with the time which you have wasted in 2 years
The idea is there but investment for almost 2 years of 0.01 isnt enough .Think on it ,it is sure you can't only invest 0.01 in two years unless you dont want add some amounts on it. Even though $11 you profit it make sense but it is on yourself how you should make your investment worth a cents.

Big or small, it is all the same as in investments we measure our profits in percentages and not really the amount of earnings as this is really dependent on how much you invest. If you got a good percentage, then that is good too even if it is just $11 or so. It all depends on how much you invest.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL]How old were you when you made your first bet? on: April 27, 2017, 02:53:42 PM
Too bad the voting was closed, I wasn't able to place in my vote. For me, I started young, since I loved NBA back then. I used to join fantasy drafts that would involve real money with my friends. It wasn't so big of a bet since it was just about $1 for the whole season. Though it was fun times.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost over 12 btcs gambling on dice on: April 27, 2017, 02:10:35 PM
If you can sign message with the address which had "12 BTC" I would believe you. Otherwise, you made a great joke and if that was a true story it was a bad day for you and why would you gambled your money? To earn easy money with it? . No, it won't happen.
Yes to believe his story he must show some proof of his loss. Otherwise, how can we trust this matter? People can say I lost 100 BTC in dice game can we believe this easily without seeing any proof. I am not saying we can not lose 12 BTC in dice game it is possible and some people lost more than this amount. But to discuss with this, he must provide some details on which site he lost and what is his strategy plan in the game, etc.
Correct its really an easy thing for anybody to claim such thing like they lose huge amounts on playing gambling. They do it either to make community react with his lose without any proper proofs but well we cant do anything about it since he do claim he lost 12 btc on just playing dice and thats a lot of money already thats why we should really not rely on strategies believing that we could make money in the long run.

But I don't think there is any point in lying about something like this. Do you think people will be impressed with a 12 btc loss? I'm sure I'm not, don't know about you guys. Proof or no proof, this discussion about losing a big amount of money is good. As some guy who lost a similar amount can read through here and be encourage to move on.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: April 27, 2017, 01:58:34 PM
There are several churches in my area that have a Bingo night....some have a casino night too.  I've also seen church raffles.....etc.  The Judea Christian Bible mentions the Israelites "casting lots."  So, I don't know if gambling is a "sin" but I do know that there are quite a few churches that have no problem participating in the activity.

Exactly! I have seen few Temples around Louisiana having these worshipers playing card games with money on the table during some festive season.I doubt its a sin then. Its all in our heads at the end of the day.
win true all that relates to the game wearing any form of money bets every game that gambling is a sin is very much less with until we have forgotten the time so that it will be detrimental to our lives, but for me it's just a fun game only.

Not even sure where they got this idea it was a sin. How was this a sin? People aren't committing any kind of sin the 10 commandments stated. I don't see there "do not gamble." People just make up the crazies sayings in their lives just to explain something or prevent people from doing something.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is the best gambling site for investments? on: April 27, 2017, 01:43:04 PM
I think i will recommended kingdice.
As i see many times the owner is very active and accept many suggestion when kingdice starting.

But i'm havent invest bankroll on it. so u need to check more.

Activeness is does not matter here, what investor really need is good traffic, of there is huge traffic on their site. I believe what they dream of will be paid. As long as there is many players here, more bankroll will come so there will big whale too and investor will get their money soon enough

For OP, I can recommend some sites which has great investment history like crypto-game, bitvest and yolodice. These are the best as I see for now

I did invest in these casinos and it is look good for me. I would, however, agree with BTCevo's point about whales investing. The problem here is that they can just eat up the whole investments and just take the whole big chunk of the pie. They will profit more but they will also be risking to lose more though.

If they eat the cake, they can get a profit, however, it is not a stable and long-term source of income. For all of us, a stable source of income and prestige are always of great concern. Suppose they eat the cake, their casinos will be denounced, and soon after, everyone will get rid of them, and they will lose their jobs. No profit and no money. No one does a stupid thing.

I did not understand your reference on the cake. Why did you compared it eating it and it will shut down? If more people invest into a casino it will not die and it is actually the opposite. More people might even play on the casino since they know it is backed up by a lot of investments in the bank roll. Why would they denounce it, if they are profiting. Really I don't understand your logic here.

Not sure, but I think what he meant was that if the big investors, aka them whales, removes their investments (that might be what he meant about denounce?) then the site will fall as the users will see this as a bad thing as big investors are pulling out investments in the casino.
1330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction - $1500 in 30 days - What do you think? on: April 27, 2017, 01:36:38 PM
I don't think it is possible yet. Maybe the rise is because of the ETF reconsideration again from what I have been reading around here. So when it gets denied again then the prices will go down again like what happened before. The current prices are really unnatural and is likely to go down a few days before the ETF decisions come out.
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the block chain not as great as claimed? on: April 27, 2017, 01:12:20 PM
I think its just not interesting enough for the big companies that you mentioned. Like for example, google will not be so interested in this as it is more focused on ads as that is their primary business. The blockchain and ads don't actually mix so much.
1332  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous Prepaid SIM Card on: April 26, 2017, 04:13:59 PM
What's the point of having these? Just for phone verification? That is a really wasteful thing to do as there are quite a lot of ways you can just do which is cheaper and easier to do. Most countries have prepaid sim cards which they can just buy off the counter and be done with it. They still kept their identity a secret.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin trading bots are profitable? on: April 26, 2017, 03:41:46 PM
I really don't think there is a need. Most of us are crypto enthusiasts so we understand the market, how to analyze the price of a coin, where to read up on news about it, etc. I've never traded a day in my life and this is probably beginners luck but I've turned 0.2BTC into 0.3BTC trading TORCoin and Litecoin yesterday. I don't know about you but that's a lot of money for me, lol!

Trading bits are for traders who don't really have much time to really observe the market. It's quite expensive thoughbif you're going to buy a software. Also sometimes people get lazy so instead of studying the movement themselves, they resort to these kinds of applications and software

From what I heard from some of the people how bought these kinds of bots is that they are saying it is quite effective and it does profit them. But I don't think it does, as there is quite a lot of things you should know of in trading that a bot can never ever imitate a good trader as it just executes some strategy that it has been preset.
1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Cap: an All-Time High on: April 26, 2017, 03:24:13 PM
Cryptocurrency is fast rising as the world is realizing the potential of it and how it could change the world. This is true everywhere and we might see the turn of the tides when the governments realize that they can harness the power of cryptocurrency by turning their own local currency into a crypto of their own.
1335  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Reasons Why Many Families Are Feeling Extreme Financial Stress on: April 26, 2017, 03:10:28 PM
it's strange that they have so high inflation when the inflation reported is not increasing in comparison with the previous years

inflation currently it's at its lowest level for now in 2017, this is not true for all country, turkey have the highest it seems

it must be said if that price increase is due to the USD losing its purchase power, or those are really price that were incresed by vendors of those products

No no, the price really increase.
Problem is that average inflation will take everything into account...
Who cares about the inflation of luxury bags for example? Well if average price of luxiry bag went a bit down then average inflation will also take that into account...

Inflation is relative to be honest, if the price index of a country increases but also the average income of the citizen also does increase, there is really no point as their spending power does not change. If it does not effect the equilibrium of the price and income of the people it is fine.
1336  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: April 26, 2017, 03:03:41 PM
I started buying bitcoin at 650 dollars last year. It's been a great ride so far. Now I am trying to party with the alts to make my crypto ride even better.  Grin

I started buying at $200 two years a go, even got to two bitcoins but in the end lost it all in gambling. Too bad, if I just went on and just saved it, I could have been richer by six times by now.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is definition gambling in your mind? on: April 21, 2017, 01:50:22 PM
Many people said the gambling is just a game and another people said it is Investment. How do you think?  Roll Eyes

It depends how you view it on an individuals perspective. It is an investment for me that's why I'm disciplined enough not to exceed my bankroll and have developed adequate self control to grow my investments over time.

Wow then you are one of the lucky ones that made a profit out of gambling. Just really make sure that you will not lose all of it in gambling too. There are a very few people that can say that they profited from gambling when you can't really be forever lucky in gambling. So just take care of your profits.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is YoBit.net provably fair ? on: April 21, 2017, 01:45:03 PM
i think a much better question would be "why would anyone want to play dice on Yobit"!
if you have ever played a dice game on any of the top sites like bitsler or crypto-games or even on one of the newer sites like YoloDice then you can see what i mean. yobit doesn't even have a half decent design, there is no auto bet, there is no changing of multiplier there are no hotkeys and there are alot of things missing.
so the question "why would anyone choose Yobit over other better places" and that goes for the exchange and trading part too!

What yobit did was still a smart move in my opinion. Think about it like this, when you lost money from investments and trading then you would have some kind of urge to gamble, can't say this is true for everyone but it is for some. This is the opportunity yobit is seizing.
many times its happen to me before, as i seen alts value is falling and i don't have enough time to wait for the price being pumped up
that's the time that I'm going to play my coin and searching for some luck but shit always happen that's why i really avoiding trading inside
yobit now don't want to lose more money.

This is what I was talking about, you are one of the clear example of what happens in yobit! The very reason why they offer this is because people are really hasty and don't really think well when they are seeing a red streak on their investment or trading activity. So what people do is like what you did to get over those losses.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: April 21, 2017, 01:37:08 PM
Never trust anyone else with your coin. If someone else has a winning method, they'd be using it themselves to profit. It's unlikely you'll find solutions to making money with your bit/altcoins unless you create the method yourself. Bitcoin is all about thinking outside the box so that's what you'll have to do in order to be successful.

I agree, there is a lot of people that think that if they buy some miracle winning method they will profit from what they just bought. They don't realize that it doesn't really give them profits as what they are selling are just useless methods that don't really work. If you want to profit the don't expect it will fall from the heavens in the form of a guide for sale.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling for Good, think for your loved ones on: April 21, 2017, 01:30:10 PM
Hi everyone, want to share my story here, I was once a gambler that I can gamble big amount of money in one day, I have this thinking that maybe I can make a living off gambling and get rich. I won big before but I lost back on the other day too.

And once you lost, you will try to recover back your lost amount and from there, the snowball just keep rolling, and you find yourself in bad mood everyday as you will keep on depositing all your savings and always hoping to recover back your loss. I have seen too many people losing big amount of money in Bitcoin Gambling.

Think for your family, your parents, your loved ones, your wife or kids, they love you, do not let gambling ruin your life, many people are always thinking they will win big from gambling and get rich in one night.

It happens, but out of 10000 people, maybe just 1 person are that lucky to really win a huge amount of money for him to retire.

Human concept always look at the lucky guy and envy him and thinking they will be the next him, but out of 10000 people, 9999 people have lost big, so why do you want to hurt yourself and your loved ones.

I am not trying to change people mind here, I just hope I can help some people that are addicted to gambling.

Life is good and wonderful, do not get yourself stuck in front of the pc everyday rolling dice and even you win big today, you will still lose back in other day, money that come fast go away fast too.

Don't let gambling ruin your life, many of you are still young and have a good future ahead. That's all Cheesy

Well nice for you to finally realize it and quit in gambling,
It is really tempting to have some instant money through it but most of the time you would only lose money instead of earning some.
Because casinos are made to get people's money and not give away money to their gamblers! That is the whole hard truth about gambling. Casinos win over their users since they have a better chance in winning. Most casinos have a 1% house edge, that edge is big in the long run which is in an infinite number of games this is a significant number.
