1321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 07, 2013, 03:29:28 PM

Love the thread. Expect a retest of $79 low from May 3rd. Do not expect a breach of this level. If so (a breach), a quick drop of $20 would be expected with a severe upside bounce after that.

1322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: May 06, 2013, 10:16:05 PM
Update

This is a picture showing the relative size to the laptop. One with heatsink and one without.

We also tested it on the USB-hub. Seven in a row run over a whole night and are all very stable.

Will these fit in usb as shown with heatsinks attached? Also, are they usb 2.0 compatible ( I assume they are). Finally, will they work on bitminter with their java program. Thanks.
1323  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 06, 2013, 03:09:26 PM
ok, i'm awake!

So the devices we will be receiving will be from "The Sapphire Batch"?

yep.

Also can we hold off payments until the sale thread goes up?

absolutely. no payment is expected at this time as it's pointless until the 300 is reached. and equally pointless until the purchase can actually be made. though it might take a couple days to get everyones payments.

john, OP updated.

Updated list
1325  Economy / Auctions / Re: 2 DAYS ONLY: 250 direct ASICMINER shares from 1.18 each on: May 06, 2013, 02:26:23 AM
250 directly registered shares for sale.

Minimum: 1.18 BTC each
Minimum bid increment: 0.01 BTC each

All bids are binding.  Payment must happen within 48 hours of the end of the auction, unless you make alternate arrangements.

Happy bidding!  Auction ends on May 6, 5:00 UTC

Timer removed. End time: 2013-05-06+5:00:00UTC

All bids are binding. Then they offer extra and they are magically "out" of auction?
1326  Economy / Auctions / Re: 2 DAYS ONLY: 250 direct ASICMINER shares from 1.18 each on: May 06, 2013, 02:24:39 AM
Due to exits from the auction, this is the final list:

ID   Username   Shares   Price
---ACTIVE BIDS---
96   yxt   1   1.3
109   Mceee   1   1.25
103   GoldenWings91   1   1.22
106   dbasql   3   1.22
112   saveawedge   2   1.22
102   nottm28   3   1.21
110   puexam   2   1.21
111   Equilux   8   1.21
104   Ajay   50   1.2
105   eastpk   35   1.2
107   hiima   2   1.2
108   Nancarrow   18   1.2
93   Rodyland   20   1.19
95   gog1   75   1.19
87   SilentSonicBoom   2   1.18
89   nlive   27   1.18
---OUTBID---
89   nlive   23   1.18
90   hephaist0s   5   1.18
91   fpgaminer   15   1.18
92   dozerz   5   1.18
94   box27   1   1.18
97   dbasql   3   1.18
98   eastpk   35   1.18

How does one "exit from the auction"? I can't determine if I should place another bid as I have been outbid for over 24 hours and now I am magically back in the bidding. What gives?
1327  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 05, 2013, 07:00:15 PM
I think so.  Also note that due to rounding, 2.1013 leaves you short 9 bitcents, so either your fee is 3 units minus 9 bitcents, or round up to 2.1014 and call it a day. Smiley  I expect everyone would have been fine with your 2.10812 price, but you did ask for a math check!  Grin

Also, change price on first page as suggested earlier. Thank you.
1328  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 05, 2013, 06:58:54 PM
ya know what, i just realized something - i think my math regarding my fee is wrong.

it's 1.99 per unit plus .05 = 2.04 + 2% = 2.0808 x 300 = 624.24. but im an idiot and didn't include the 6 btc that would be my fee. even if i'm taking it as miners, it's gota come from somewhere. cause as is it stands, it's 2.0808 x 297 = 617.9976. so... so there's a remaining 6.24 (call it 6 btc  even since i don't have to pay myself shipping) that needs to becover. so, 6/297 = .02020202~ so that DOES change the price.

price revision is 2.10812 btc per unit.

man, i hate math. someone double check this for me?

Please be aware, you will need a lump sum of cash to pay for the shipping of units to individuals. I hope you have this cash or an easy way to convert btc to cash to pay the shipping costs.

i've got that part covered, yea.

Great! Sign me up for one unit at this time. Thanks!

1330  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 05, 2013, 06:13:02 PM
I propose a solution to the distribution problem: Payment.

Essentially, the group buy total would figure in a percentage that Arklan decides is fair for his labor in divvying up the packages. JohnK will receive all the funds, and place the group order shipped to Arklan. The leftover amount should be remaining individual shipping costs and Arklan's fee which will be released as soon as proof of delivery is shown to JohnK of these orders from Arklan (via delivery conf #'s). Since John is asking 2% I think this would be a fair service to ask of him, to place a group order and to pay the bounty to Arklan upon success.

We need a total group buy price. Currently each is estimated at 2.0808 which includes John's fee and an assumed shipping cost of 0.05 per unit = 624.24 Shipping assumes all these buys stay in domestic USA, which I believe it was intended to at some point.

Arklan, how much time/money do you need to make sure get all these out? Since JohnK is highly repped and charging 2% I think maybe 1% is fair for this group buy, about 6 btc.

At these terms:

cost           =       units          +       shipping     *    fees
630.36 BTC = (300*1.99btc)    + (300*0.05btc)  *   (1.03)

Grand Total of 2.1012 BTC per device. A price difference of 0.0204 but motivates everyone to play more fair?

Feel free to take shits all over this, I am sure it could be improved and modified but maybe something like this could work....

arklan,
Is the new price 2.1012 btc per unit? If so, please update on the first post. Thank you.

A question regarding the price calculation.

I'm a bronze member so the fee should be 7.5%
But When I compare your prices and the current ask price on Mt.Gox I get a fee between 11-14%.

How do you calculate the price?

I agree with this post. Also, how long until more bitcoin are available?

with the value of btc down a bit and the sell wall on bitfunder, it is a very good time to buy shares. I expect the value to rise considerably in the next week.

and today is my favorite day of the week: dividend day!

Wall on bitfunder is slowly being torn down  Wink
