13201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and other cryptocurencies are not necessary says Chinese people on: January 04, 2019, 02:36:09 AM
Can you put in the source of that claim?

Anyway, it can be true. It's probably just due to the Chinese people thinking about the current financial system, "why fix it, if it ain't broke", without knowing about the pitfalls of the current financial system. Basically, they make such claim because of ignorance. Guess who mostly think that cryptocurrencies are needed? People who have been in a country that had a economic crisis (e.g. Venezuela). Some or most people in powerhouse countries like China are just living comfortably not knowing what's happening in the 3rd world countries around them. Unfortunately, probably the only way of them knowing the importance of cryptocurrencies is when they experience a economic crisis themselves.
13202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Type of Cold Wallet!! on: January 04, 2019, 02:32:00 AM
A securely made paper wallet on an airgapped device is still the best among the list in my opinion, with hardware wallets next in line.

What would I choose? If I were to store bitcoin for years and without planning on using it, then most likely a paper wallet. But personally as a person who likes to move funds around all the time, I went with a hardware wallet. It's pretty much the perfect balance of security and usability. Just always make sure to store your recovery seed offline, on a piece of paper or on a cryptosteel.

Anyway, read these if you're unsure of the different types of wallets:

I have no problem to the people who work hard for it. But the facts are most of them are born in a rich family and they are not even need to work for it when they came to this world, and the same cycle repeat for many generations to come
So what do you want them to do? Throw away the hard earned money their parents made? One of the reasons the parents worked hard in the first place, is for their children to live comfortably; and you want to take that away from them just because you're a lazy and envious person? That's sick as hell.

I'm going to see my next 20 generations to be poor AF like me. Because it is a cycle that's bound to repeat itself. And yes, those born in a rich family are some of the few who control 99% of the money in the world, that's why majority are poor because they are unlucky and born poor.
Oh boy your family and your bloodline will definitely be poor if you don't do something about it.

Here's a takeaway for you:  If you're born poor, it's not your fault, it's your parents fault. If you die poor, then it's all your fault.

Jeebus crust it's one of those "newbies don't get merit, high ranked members are biased" posts again; just with a small drop of subtlety.

Tell you what, if anything, I'm actually more biased towards low ranked members. Just for some of you to have some merits, I actually tend to slightly lower my standards. Trust me when I say that, if a low ranked member deserves merits, he/she will get merits. It's just that they don't deserve it 95% of the time.
13205  Other / Meta / Re: What To Do? on: January 03, 2019, 03:19:07 PM
Hi kabayan!

1. Does your phone at least have a password? To hopefully make it harder for the thief to access your accounts and your files.
2. Do you have your wallets with significant amounts on your phone? If so, move the funds asap to a new wallet with a new set of recovery seed.
3. Change ALL your passwords. You might have left an account logged in in the past through your mobile phone's browser.

Keep us updated.

Requesting mods/admins to lock this topic already. DdmrDdmr already responded to the concern in a clear manner. There's going to be nothing but redundant answers in this topic if it isn't going to be locked, as proved by the last 2 replies to this topic.

When we are fighting each other for the sake of making that 1% of total money in circulation, I don't see being smart make much difference, being smart may get me to a higher position title, I'm still need to fight for that 1% total money in circulation. Being into business doesn't directly give me the luxury to enjoy the 99% wealth that the richest are enjoying. Basically there is no way to get out from this crap.
I'm sorry. But this "99% is for the rich" argument doesn't make any sense. Most of them are wealthy simply because they deserve it and worked hard for it in the first place.

That may be true when competition are very low, but in a time like today, every business are very competitive, every competitive business are fighting for the same 1% wealth in the world, no doubt about many business failed almost immediately it get into the market, and it's how people getting themselves broke by involving themselves into speculative business.
There's always competition. If making a successful business is easy, then there would no be employees. Hence I said that you need to be smart and make smart decisions. If you think you're smart enough to be rich, then work for it! If not, then probably study and or gain experience for you to be smart enough. That's just it. If you're not willing to put in the work, then all you're going to do in life is to complain, while the others work hard to attain their goals.
13208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Code club / school projects - Bitcoin related. on: January 03, 2019, 02:43:43 PM
Err. For the 11-14 demographic, I suggest first trying to understand what bitcoin is first, which can definitely be quite difficult with that age bracket. It might be hard and not beneficial for them to code something bitcoin-related if they don't quite understand what it is in the first place. With that age bracket, probably stick with stuff that can be fun for them, to keep their amusement and enjoyment up.
13209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will these hacker demands lead to BTC demand and higher price? on: January 03, 2019, 01:59:36 PM
I wonder how many people will fail for this scam. It probably won't cause any pump if there's not so many victims. On top of that, after the hacker got those BTC, it's likely he will sell it on exchanges, so Bitcoin can dump again. It's artificial pump at best.

While true, it really depends. Hackers might hold it for a while and wait for a sort of way or a solution for them to move the bitcoins they scammed to an exchange without exposing the address they used for the scam. Remember, bitcoin's blockchain is transparent.

Do you believe in them? I think people are creating drama like hackers can do anything. There's no like such sort of person in this forum nor a investors if yes thn he could have done anything in the bear market right?

While people can definitely create drama online, these ransomwares actually really exist. I know one guy personally that's a victim of a randomware. Fortunately, he doesn't have much important things on his home computer, hence he doesn't need to pay for the ransom. All he did was a reinstall of Windows10 and hes fine.

Also, what has the bear market have to do with this? I couldn't understand your second sentence.
13210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network effect on Bitcoin's price on: January 03, 2019, 01:35:12 PM
I'm skimming through these walls of text but my take is more coins locked in LN = less coins that are a part of supply and demand on markets, right?

Pretty much, due to the coins being temporarily locked up, it's pretty much almost like a decrease in total supply.

Decent read by the way. Especially that we're in a bear market, I tend to look at the statistics that actually matter for the long term instead; like the percentage increases of lightning nodes and locked up bitcoin. It's been nothing but up in the past months.

13212  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to make America bankrupt? on: January 03, 2019, 11:47:00 AM
I tried to work hard until I come to realize that no matter how hard I work, I can't beat the facts that I'm getting poorer by workin for it, because when 99% of the money are owned by the richest, while only leaving the 1% money to the plebs like me, to fight each other to earn that 1% money in circulation. I don't need a math expert to tell me fighting for 1% of money is not the best way to become rich.

Finally the richest are enjoying the dividend from their 99% of all money in the world saving in their private bank, how rich I going to be to enjoy the dividend that come from 1% of total money in circulation? Also the bank don't want to give loan to plebs like me because I don't have collateral to secure the loan, only the richest can have all the loan in the world because they have so much asset to work as collateral to take a loan, I believe most of the loans created in the world
still goes to the rich. What are left to me are working hard to enjoy nothing in life.

Because you don't only need to work hard. You also need to work smart. You're most likely not going anywhere working your 9-5 job alone. Making smart decisions and starting a business or being an entrepreneur works.

And as with loans, you don't need loans with every kind of business. I know a lot of people that started from the lower lower class(as in the lower class where they could barely afford to eat twice a day), and now? They're not like super rich, but they're decently wealthy financially. What did they do? Became entrepreneurs and created small businesses through their good ideas and smart decisions.

Complaining and hoping harm for people isn't going to get you anywhere.

Also, complaining about banks and money? Isn't that one of the main reasons we have bitcoin?
13213  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 💰 Best Referral and Affiliate Programs of Bitcoin and Crypto Exchanges? 💰 on: January 03, 2019, 10:57:47 AM
Definitely Binance[1] and BitMEX[2]. Simply due to the fact that you can receive commissions as long as the people you referred are actively trading on the exchange.

Also, both of these exchanges are I think the most used in referral programs by bitcoin or cryptocurrency-related blogs and "influencers".

13214  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: bitcoincheaters.com is NOW online on: January 03, 2019, 10:54:14 AM
Already. First off, why is your forum named "bitcoincheaters"?

Second, why do you see it necessary to create another forum, instead of just using bitcointalk.org?

Lastly, you posted in the wrong subforum. I suggest moving this topic to the Service Announcements[1] section.

Is that real in ‘The Times’ today? Is that a copy of the actual front page of the newspaper?
Really cool if it is Smiley

It sure is legitimate. The picture OP posted was probably just the unprinted version.

Here's a picture of the actual physical newspaper by @cryptocalze: https://twitter.com/cryptocalzo/status/1080754016198512640
13216  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to make America bankrupt? on: January 03, 2019, 10:47:33 AM
Poor people are getting poorer everyday and the rich people are getting richer, a bankruptcy will reset the inequality, and giving the younger generation like me a change of life. Of course I believe in a lot of conspiracy theories. Smiley

I believe most of the wealth are shared only to very few people at the top, while plebs like me are very poorer compare to them, and they are calling plebs like me sick human being by being so poor, I just can't accept being insulted by the rich people around me.

How will America going "bankrupt" only fuck up the rich and not the poor? it's going to screw everyone. I'm not an expert in economics, but things don't work how you think.

Also, instead of complaining of being poor and hoping harm among others, why not just work yourself up the hierarchy? You just want the easy way to riches eh? Is hard work too mainstream for you?
13217  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to make America bankrupt? on: January 03, 2019, 10:04:53 AM
Why the heck would you want that to happen in the first place? While it's indeed imminent as claimed by a good number of economics experts, a lot people will be screwed over; especially those that aren't prepared. If you wish that to happen for your own personal gain then you're a sick human being.
13218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thanks, Satoshi. We owe you one. (Bitmex ad on "The Times") on: January 03, 2019, 06:46:57 AM
As a person that's into internet marketing and marketing in general, this is a perfect example of an advertisement that's so simple yet very effective. Not to mention that while this is an advertisement that's going to benefit BitMEX(and the point of paying for an advertisement is to benefit your business in the first place), at the same time it actually honors bitcoin and Satoshi. I almost never say good things about BitMEX, but at this time, bravo to them.
13219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why are you afraid of buying bitcoin? on: January 03, 2019, 03:38:07 AM
If someone is afraid to take risks in any business or business then you cannot do it.

Though I agree to some extent and I definitely agree that people should take reasonable risks, comparing the risks of buying bitcoin, a volatile asset, to starting a business is quite different. With a business, you have control with everything. If your business fails, you only have yourself(and your partner) to blame. With investing in cryptocurrencies though? There's only so much a single person can do to positively influence bitcoin's price, especially as a person that's not a sort of celebrity or "influencer" in the cryptocurrency space. Even as a celebrity or "influencer" though? It's definitely harder to pump prices right now compared to back then.
13220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Bitcoin Flippening on: January 03, 2019, 03:18:26 AM
XRP is not a cryptocurrency and fuck knows how it managed to sneak in in the first place.

If there was a usurping BTC would still be the prime option for what it was designed to do. Bots and pumpers won't change that.

Oh it definitely isn't. But knowing that it managed to overtake Ethereum in the past, I since then don't underestimate the ignorance of most people in this space. XRP is pretty much pure PR/marketing. I mean, take a look at Twitter! Along with that, the ignorant reasoning of people: "XRP is cheap". XRP being extremely high in supply hence the lower price is definitely a contributing factor on why people buy XRP.
