13281  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: August 21, 2020, 01:02:46 AM
The interesting thing is will we have a price breakout. Side movement here is okay by me. Alt's are picking up a bit I increased my gpus and I am auto converting the eth they mine into BTC.

i wonder if a lot of others are building up gpus to earn btc indirectly.  This tends to mean btc is being purchased more by nice hash and other auto converting mining places. It tends to build up btc price due to transaction increases an due to demand for btc. Fall should prove very interesting indeed.

I took this a few years back when the new World Trade Center was being built it is on the right..

I was driving in my card held the camera and clicked off 9 shots I got the one I wanted showing the sun lined up quite nicely.

I have this on my Mac rumors account without the hat.

ps to xhomerx10 thank you

Its very good nice looking congratulate, are you the one that designed it,
The background looks so special.
You are welcomed is very interested.

xhomerx10 took the photo I provided. I asked for red hat 🎩 as I thought it would be the best color to use with the photo.

xhomerx10 blended the photo with one of his stock red hats. He did a beautiful job.

My wife also likes it very much.

Thats very impressive hash/power - 52+mhs at 111+ watts is super.

The blower style GPUs are always the best.

I have 1080ti and Vegas blower stlye GPUs and still working after 4 years running 24x7

I am still undecided if I want to invest in newer GPUs... very tempted though esp on the 5700

We will wait eagerly for your 120mhs@400watts rig review

Yeah I still have at least 7 1080tis and my partner buysolar has at least 6

I think we have

I   78.18   2 1080ti
o   82.01   2 1080ti
s   174.53   1 1080ti 1x 1080 , 2x 1070 1x 1660ti
z   433.57.     6 1080ti 4x amd 5500xt 2 amd 5700 1 amd 5700 xt

so that is about 767mh
adding

two builds

one will be 3 1660ti. about 80mh
one will be 2 amd 5600 and 1 amd 5700. about 120 or 130 mh

total of 210 plus 767 = 977mh  say 1gh and about 27-28 gpus.

Nice hat avatar Phil.... new pic for new BTC ATH?  Grin

whats the fastest ETH GPU miner currently?

Below are all my amd cards------ I am getting the msi 5600 cards. next Monday

and I am getting 1 other msi 5700 but it has 2 jacks
https://www.provantage.com/msi-r5700mgpc~7MSTI108.htm

I will report on them soon maybe Tuesday.

The best would be the eight pin msi 5700

https://www.newegg.com/msi-radeon-rx-5700-rx-5700-mech-oc/p/N82E16814137466

it is a 1 jack model

it was for sale as low as 330.

I get 111 watts and 51mhs  look at below it is actually better then that

They are sold out. But if you find them they seem to be the best I have found

FOUND A DEAL newegg msi rx 5600

Join retailmenot.com

blah... blah... blah...

I will build 2 of these will post the builds next week.

Oh I paid this with paypal credit 6 months to pay..

Good find.

I bought one.  Not sure if RetailMeNot is working or not. my account on retailmenot is saying "We're waiting for Newegg to let us know you've made a purchase.".. it's been 30 minutes.... but i couldn't pass up at least one with the rebate and the $30 off with the code you posted.  FYI, that code you posted expires after today.

the chrome extension wasn't adding to chrome.  Not sure if anyone else if having the same problem.

I have six msi 5700 mech oc in a system  and six msi 5700 evoke in a system and they basically fun flawlessly... no reboots for several weeks at a time.

I've got five 5600xt (not msi in a system) that do @ 182, the 3 powercolor cards have the updated bios (@39 Mh/s), whereas the two other cards have non-updated bios get @ 33mh/z.

I love my

1 msi rx 5700xt
1 msi rx 5700 blower style not sure if it was an xt
1 msi rx 5700 ---------- this is the best one as it uses only 1 8 pin jack and 111 watts for 51mhs
2 msi rx 5500 xt

About retailmenot

IT will take up to 2 days to show it.

If it does not show follow up and ask them they will give it to you.

I have earned over 1200 in rebates from them since 2017

here are the only ones I had issues for and had to ask for the 3x $150 from HP

They did get them right.

Note I got a newegg for 25 right below
and the other newegg for 0 I did not purchase it.

13286  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: S17E / T17+ custom firmware - Free Download on: August 20, 2020, 03:17:20 PM
I am heading to Clifton NJ.

I will move the t17 the t17+ to the same test network as the t17e.

I will give access to thierry4wd he will set them up and I will test and post results.

I will soon be able to show overclock on the t17+ and the t17

and we are still working on the t17e so that it can do more then just undervolt.

In the interest of transparency my fee for my work will be my modded gear.

1 t17
1 t17e
1 t17+

will not pay a development fee.

I am hoping to get a lot set up tommorrow and I will prep today by loading sd cards to load into the gear.

At the moment my teamviewer access to  my farm is down. I do have access to the two t17e units. as they are on the test network.

the vast majority of my gear is on the verizon network not the optimum network. When I get there I will figure out why teamviewer is down on the verizon network.

I want to talk about a service or firmware mod like this. It is needed due to bitmain locking voltage fans and freq on the gear.

So think of this from the developer theirry4wd viewpoint, bitmain can end his business with a simple new firmware upgrade.  This is why he found it hard to sell it as one time fee. Pay 100 or whatever and then bitmain does new firmware with options. Miners did not want to go one shot fee. A fee every two hours works.  I would think if he has enough people using it he could alter fee to 1.5% .

I am hoping to get all this setup for testing tomorrow.

I will need to burn some unlocking sd cards today. Move all units to test network tomorrow. And fire away.

To update just a bit both new and old t17e are running on test network.

the new runs cooler and the fans are slower. At this point in time I can only alter voltage and fans.

The weather in NJ is cooler so the benefit of undervolt is less. These are the two t17e.

You mean you bought BTC and sold it back ?

Funny but yes he used it as a cash replacement tool Grin

I have done this with BTC ,ETH, LTC, DOGE.

MORE THAN 1,000,000 worth in fiat since 2012

No ebay sales with return issues.
I do forum marketplace sales instead.

Gear purchases from bitmain.
How do I do them? with purchased btc.
BTC purchased and sold on the same day so as to avoid cap gains issues.

Dabs did coin use as a substitute for fiat.

if you never belonged they are giving 10% off

check here you can see

https://i.imgur.com/I6dtmO9.png

go to newegg from the retailmenot link

oh if you are an old customer they are giving 6% off.

buy these msi rx 5600 xt  gpu's

https://www.newegg.com/msi-radeon-rx-5600-xt-rx-5600-xt-mech-oc/p/N82E16814137498?Item=N82E16814137498

use this code

93XPR45

SO THE 289.99 card drops 30 bucks to 259.99

you get the 6% or 10% off from retailmenot. net = 244.40 or  233.99

if you do rebates you can get $20 more off 1 card = 224.40 or 213.99.

for a rx 5600 xt it is cheap.  you can buy up to 3 cards

https://msi.rebateaccess.com/promotion.php?p=91454

it does look like you can get 3 rebates on three cards.

the cash back at retailmenot caps at 50 bucks

so if you are new 10% off 3 cards should be 87 bucks but is capped at 50

if you are getting the 6% off 3 cards should be 52.20 but is capped at 52.

I found some old ready to use mobos that handle 6 cards they have built in cpus. onda

I found this psu for 70 bucks. https://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=110-BQ-0750-V1

So for 70 + 720 = 790

I have a 3 card rig that will do close to 120mhs and use under 400 watts

I will build 2 of these will post the builds next week.

Oh I paid this with paypal credit 6 months to pay..
13291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [BET] Trump or not Trump 2020, eddie13 vs suchmoon on: August 20, 2020, 03:33:38 AM
I think you might be on to something there. So many youth are disaffected and every vote counts so maybe that was why the Biden team decided to do it.

If Trump did the same thing to reach out to say 18-24 year olds, who would he have the interview with?

I won't blame Joe Biden for this because he doesn't know what's going on and he just listens to his campaign staffers, but who on Joe Biden's campaign thought it was a good idea to do an interview with Cardi B?

https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/17/politics/cardi-b-joe-biden-voter-outreach/index.html

And it's not like she admitted to drugging men and robbing them or has gang affiliation with the bloods or anything.

I'm guessing the goal was to reach 18-24 year olds who don't follow politics and convince them to vote.  I don't think her past really matters in terms of the election.

jenner’s kid the model?
13292  Economy / Economics / Re: The Fed is talking about letting the inflation rate rise above its 2% target. on: August 20, 2020, 01:43:31 AM
I'm not exactly sure what the hell the article is saying, since it sounds like a bunch of economist gobbledygook to me.  What it doesn't sound like is that the Fed has any concrete plan to raise interest rates, and if they alluded to doing this in the article I'm pretty sure it would spook the market big time.  Investors/traders/speculators have been used to cheap money for so long that they're going to have to be weaned off of it slowly, like a methadone taper for a heroin addict.

I've said it a few times in recent posts: if interest rates get raised, watch out.  That will mean less margin trading (among many other things), which will have a negative effect on stock prices--and probably gold, silver, and bitcoin as well.  Unfortunately the Fed is going to have to raise rates eventually, but whether we're expecting it or not it's still going to come as quite a shock regardless.

And yeah, OP, that money printing press just continues to work overtime with no signs of a break in the action anywhere to be seen.

Yep lots of bills big stacks of it.

It will be really interesting to see how much they pass the 2% level by.

I am going to pass on buying from him.

I sent a pm and cancelled as well as biffa.
13294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: One GPU has lower hashrate than the others (GTX 1660) on: August 20, 2020, 01:04:19 AM
Your rig is underpowered.

I suggest  running six cards see if the six do 27-28 hash.

The psu is 1000 watter and even with under clock 🕰 I think you are aging the psu. As most likely you are using over 720 watts 24/7/365. Atx rigs do not like to do that.

It then short changes the mobo and your weakest card  suffers for it.

See if the card works better if you only run six or five cards on the mobo.

Made a transaction earlier, 116 sats per byte fee. This was around 11:00am, still waiting for a confirmation nearly 7 hours later.

I’ve accelerated it with Via Bitcoin free accelerator but fucking hell.....7 hours.

This is a  result of blocks dropping off from 154 rate a day first 7 days of this jump to 132 rate a day next 3 days of the jump.

As a miner my blocks now pay an average of 1 coin in fees today vs .5 coins a few days back.

I can get into a ton of short term play that major miners can do.

Owning 10% of the hash rate (bitmain) means the possibility of moving 1000's of s17pro gear from 43th to 50th to 56th.

This  Allows a ton of diff manipulation  which can in turn raise and lower price marginally.  It is a different kind of whale.

I Used to write tons of posts on this still do but I am looking to get a better understanding of trader influences on price.

I still Say at 19 million x 11750 = 224 billion. there is a ton of cash value available for BTC growth.

wow, @philipma1957 gave away more than the bottom 98% of btc accounts are worth (per account).
Applause.

suchmoon funded more of it then I did.

I used to do signature campaign and fund the give away with that.
