1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) 2021 on: June 29, 2023, 01:41:50 PM
HI OP, it looks like you have to update this topic because ever since Messi moved to Inter Miami, the world's eyes seem to be on MLS, I'm also still awkward with this league but it seems like this is one of the leagues that must get attention especially Messi is willing to sacrifice big money offers the big deal is just unique to be in inter miami Grin

This is true. the MLS is going to get more attention now because people are going to be expecting big things from Messi.
For the record though, Messi's contract with Inter Miami is a huge one. He will earn $60million a year and he also has a stake in Inter Miami. That's a very big deal.
Inter Miami are also making big moves aside securing Messi's signature. They have signed Barca legend Sergio Busquets and the trying to sign another Barca legend, Jordi Alba.
They have also hired Tata Motino as their new coach after sacking the disasters Neville who took them to the bottom of the table.
Next season looks promising for Inter Miami. lets see what they can achieve
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 29, 2023, 01:30:39 PM
It has been discuss before and why PSG doesn't choose Mourinho as new manager because they know Mourinho pattern is the manager with defensive style and his tactic was so bored and not entertain many people so that's why although probably Mourinho will considering the offers from PSG if they choose them but PSG owner doesn't want to see this team will play with parked bus for each matches

Some people will argue that Mourinho is a better option but I will not want Mourinho in my team at this point in his career. Actually, at no point in Mourinho's career would I have loved him at my club.
He's too defensive. I know he's sticking to what works for him and that is cool, but I just do not enjoy that pattern of football. PSG were lucky they did not sign him because they wouldn't have loved it later on.
I hope Enrique can replicate his Barcelona performance at PSG and be a success for PSG.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Experienced Winning Bets By Upsets on: June 29, 2023, 01:09:55 PM
My last bet that I can regard as betting on the underdog was on Sevilla.
First it was against Manchester United in the quarter final of the Europa league. Sevilla were not in a good form at the time and everybody wrote them off. On the other hand Manchester United were among the most in form teams in England. Sevilla's odd was like 3.90 or so. Somehow I believe Sevilla would win and they did, in the first half for that matter. It was the easiest dollar I ever made.  Grin

I took that same energy to the first leg of the Juventus vs Sevilla match. This one ended badly. very badly.
It wasn't because I lost the bet, but it was the manner in which I lost the bet.
Sevilla was given just over 5 odds to win and I took it. Sevilla scored and was winning. I had already concluded that I had won the game. The 6 added minute had elapsed but the referee didn't end the game.
Second half substitute Paul Pogba heads the ball into the 6 yard box and Gatti was right there to finish it off with a header.
That was one of my most heart breaking moment of last season.  Grin. It ended in a draw.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 29, 2023, 12:22:47 PM
that makes sense. bellingham has been draining a lot of money owned by real madrid. Madrid is still having some capable midfielders but in my opinion if madrid wants modric to share his experience to the another player like bellingham.
I don't think Bellingham can be a Modric replacement. He's more of a Toni Kroos replacement. One of the problems England had was playing Bellingham way higher up in the midfield. They even took him to the final third. That's not Bellingham's position. He made play well, but he wont be effective as when you just let him roam the midfield in from the defensive midfielder.

Real madrid has so many options for midfielder. Valverde could also become an alternative for those old players once they were not feeling good to play. Even liverpool has sent valverde a very big offer for him to leave from madrid and move to the liverpool.
Madrid will be willing to sell either of Velverde or Tchouameni, at the right price but not both of them. Arsenal seem to be interested in Tchouameni, but Perez said if Arsenal needs him, they have to pay the whole 100million euros Madrid spent in getting him from Monaco.

Management is not trying to waste money by buying new players. It's learned a lot from what happened with barcelona at this moment by having so many debts.
Madrid must control its financial to avoid the same fate as barcelona.
Funny you think Madrid is not also in debt. The media only likes to project  Barcelona as the only club in debt because it gives them alot of clicks. Barcelona has it worst, but Madrid is in a debt of over 500 million euros.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which League Makes Sports Betting Easy to Win? on: June 29, 2023, 11:58:13 AM
Honestly, I don't know what will be the differences of this league, if I can get more money in other league or not. But I prefer European league because it seems that it is more hype and more tension among all other teams. So it is not about the money I will get in betting with them but I want to see how these team will compete to each other.
Making the proper analysis on league games and also getting acquainted with these clubs will make everything easy and simple. Sport betting is simple to win when one makes the appropriate bet. I anticipate making huge gains from my 80% accurate predictions on my favorite clubs in the English Premier League. Of course, gambling is all about generating money; we're not in it for anything else. In comparison to other leagues that are just getting started, the European leagues are extremely popular. Wagering on clubs is simple for me because I've been familiar with the players and club statistics for decades.

Winning on sports betting is never simple, especially winning in the premier league. No matter how you analyze your bet before staking. It's always difficult to predict.
Predicting one game might be easy, but you won't be making any money from betting one game especially if it's small odd, so you have to add other games and that is where the problem comes. Its difficult to predict about 4-5 games accurately and even if you do, then it has to be options with lower odds.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Back to 2019, Harry Maguire or £80million for Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2023, 04:58:04 PM
Bitcoin was at $61k  as at the time of Maguires signing, today its half that
Maguire has been a colossal failure at United but I don't think Unite would have made profits too if they had bought Bitcoin with that 80million euros in 2019.
The difference is, Manchester United would have still made profit in future with their bitcoin investment, but they would get nothing from Maguire. They never did, they never will.

Just think of Maguire as a bad investment. It happens everything, even to the best of us.
Personally, I feel Maguire was a better investment for Man United than Hazard for Madrid.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ads for online gambling should be banned. on: June 28, 2023, 04:08:57 PM
If this should be implemented will it affect bitcointalk casinos? As we all know most established and new casinos come to bitcointalk to launch their ANN thread and carry out signature promotion campaigns which can be regarded as ads in a sense. If ads should be banned will their promotion in Bitcointalk also end?

I don't see how banning ads in Australia can affect this forum. The article did not say say online gambling ads should be banned world wide, its just in Australia. I also don't think they can stop people from Australia from using the forum except the site would be banned in Australia, which can still be bypassed.

I'm not in support of banning ads for online gambling. Every company should have a right to advertise its business, as far as that company is allowed to do business in that particular country.
Alcohol also causes damage, but alcohol companies are not banned from having online ads in Australia.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 28, 2023, 03:45:19 PM
There is always a way out. I tee Milan has quite aging players that are worth replacing.  They have Henric Mkhitaryan for 34 years (attacking Midfield), Edin  Dzeko, for 37 years (central forward), and Darmian, for 33 years (right back). Currently, all the centre-backs in Inter Milan are 36 years and above and the two goal keepers are 38 and 40 years respectively. This team has enough players that are worth replacing to race funds and bring in new young players that are hungry to make names.  This is the only way forward but they keep holding unto those aging players.

Its not that easy. Rebuilding a squad is expensive and Inter don't have that kind of money. And also you don't expect them to just get young players. That's risky. The young players might not leave up to their potential, plus experience is a very big advantage in football.
Inter's players are not all old. They have players that are 27-29 years and the also have young player like Barella and Bastoni that are very good.
They just need to make a few additions and replace players like Brozovic and Dzeko that are leaving and they are good. I also read that they want to sign Lukaku permanently.

The way I see this attitude of Man City dropping out of the bid for Rice is as if they wanted to force Arsenal's hand. I doubt that Arteta would have upped the bid if he hadnt seen the competition. But from an honest standpoint, I don't understand why they would splash such an amount on a player that isn't worth it. Instead he would have seriously chased Brighton defensive midfielder, Moises Caicedo.

I always knew Manchester City will not sign Declan Rice. They have no real need for him. You can only spend that amount of money for a player that you really need, plus a player that is actually worth it. If Man City didn't have Rodri, I'm certain they would have bought Rice.
Arsenal actually needs Declan Rice, but not for that price. If I was Arsenal I wouldn't spend that kind of money on Rice.
I honestly don't know what Man City really wanted Rice in the first place.
I hope Arsenal gets Rice though, because they've spent a lot of time on him and they really need a good player in that position. I wonder how they would strengthen other part of their squad if they spend over 100million on a single player.
1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: June 28, 2023, 02:59:19 PM
I think Luka Modric won't go to Saudi Arabia after the end of his contract with Real Madrid either. I expect him to retire after having his last season here. He can even retire from national football as well at the same time. It just feels like Modric could have gone to a Saudi Arabian team or an MLS team maybe already. Because he is really old now.

Of course it is still admirable to see him being able to play for 120 minutes despite his age. We saw this in the Nations League you know. But he doesn't seem interested in going to a team outside Europe for now.

Modric will not leave the national team after the 2024 Euro. He might go to the MLS or Saudi league, but I doubt if he will retire or stay in Europe. Modric is actually still very good at his age, the only thing is that he can't play back to back for a long time.
It was a good thing for Madrid to renew his contract for a year because Madrid still needs his creativity in that midfield. There is no midfielder as creative as Modric right now in that Madrid midfield, not even 100m euros Bellingham.
1351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your rate in betting base on odds alone? on: June 27, 2023, 04:26:07 PM
Regardless of which game. To me, I bet on Soccer but I seem to have lost every day. How often do you win in Soccer games if you just bet based on odds by picking a team with 1.50 and 1.70?

How well do you follow soccer?
For you to win bets in soccer you have to have to a have a certain level of understanding of the sports. If you are just going to bet according to the odds then its going to be more difficult for you to win. Sports betting is very tricky and soccer is among the worst of them. The team with the smaller odd doesn't always win. In fact most times the opposite is the case. Even when the team with the lesser odd wins the odd turns out to be too small and you end up not winning much. At that point you're risking so much to win very little.

Picking teams with 1.50 to 1.70 odds, its not guaranteed you'd win even if that is the smaller odd. So I would advise you not to use odd alone, but try to analyze to match, analyze both teams and see their current performance. Check how the perform at home and how they perform away from home. Check how often the score, both home and away.
One thing other gamblers do that I don't do is check the head-to-head of the teams. I don't know how accurate that may be, but a lot of gamblers do it and it wouldn't hurt to try.
All these are not guarantees that you'll win, but it might improve your chances.
You can also use your intuition to determine.
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 27, 2023, 04:11:47 PM
Bayern Munich is exactly the kind of club Harry Kane fits in. He will score so many goals at Bayern. Not because the Bundesliga is weak, but because Kane is that good. Bayern Munich creates a lot of chances for their attackers and I trust Kane to finish those chances easily. Bayern Munich guarantees Kane trophies, and one of the only things Kane lacks right now are trophies.

The problem is Tottenham would not sell, not for that price at least. Teams like Manchester United would like to sign him, but I feel United do not want to waste too much time in a bidding war with Tottenham when they can spend that time going for another striker.
Both players Manchester have their eyes on this summer for the central forward positions are going to be very difficult to get. Osimhen is valued at 200m while Kane is valued at 100m. That is insane because Kane is 29 and has only one year left in his contract.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: June 27, 2023, 04:01:16 PM
Vini has become a player with highest salary in real madrid right now. His new contract push him to get very big salary from real madrid. He is also having very high release clause. He was a golden asset that owned by real madrid.
He will be staying in real madrid until 2027. Im very glad to see that real madrid has been taking such decision to let him stay in the club with more benefit for him.

So many clubs were ready to get him as he has been rumored to leave from the club due to the racism case in la liga when madrid faced valencia last season.
Im very happy vini stay here. He will become joselu's partner next season.
I hope joselu will able working together with him next season.

The deal has not been signed yet though, but it has been agreed between both parties. It just a matter of time before it will be singed.
It was so certain Vinicius wont be leaving Madrid. Madrid would never allow that, not for anything. Vini is among the the three best players in his position right now and any club that has him would not let him go as far as they can afford to keep him.  Most of Madrid's attack comes through Vinicius, it would be a shame to let that kind of player go.

With Mbappe, things will be easier for Madrid, but he would have to play the central forward position or left wing because no coach will bench a player like Vinicius. Not because hes better than Mbappe, but because he too good to be on the bench and the only wing he can play is the left wing.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 26, 2023, 09:34:03 PM
Numerous reports indicate that he will leave Tottenham Hotspur yet a surprising development could keep him in England albeit with a different team. Although Tottenham has declared that they are unwilling to sell Kane for less money other interested parties notably Bayern Munich have been put off by his expensive asking price and advanced age. Still the need for a great striker at Manchester United and Newcastle United desire to return to the Champions League after a lengthy absence suggest that Kane may end up somewhere unexpected in England. Football fans all over the world are enthralled by the anticipation surrounding Kane future as the transfer window develops.

Not once did I think Kane would leave England. Those are kind of things that happen ones in a generation. He is England's captain and I don't think the captain of England has at any point in time played outside England. Kane will stay in England. And I always have this feeling that those in England wont let their best player to leave their league.
Harry Kane would be perfect for Manchester United. They don't have a central forward and he would earn a decent salary their too. It's the trophy part that is not guaranteed.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 26, 2023, 09:07:14 PM
I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.

How many of us are guilty of this?

This happens to me. I have never made a vow to stop gambling all together but I have told my self that I won't gamble for a few days to one week. Most times this happens when I've had too many series of losses or when I've had a big loss.
There is this feeling that I'm missing out on a lot when I decide not to play. Like "what if its this period that I'd win". It is this thought that makes me go back to gambling before the time I was suppose to.
Keeping to self promises like that requires a certain level of discipline. I'm at that point where if I say I don't want to gamble then I wont gamble.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 26, 2023, 08:58:04 PM
Joselu is a very talented player. Last season we saw excellent performances from Joselu, even with a weak team like Espanyol. Joselu is quite an experienced player. I think Joselu will be able to play better with a stable and experienced squad like Real Madrid. But I would have been happy if the Madrid management had chosen Kane or Mbappe as a replacement for Benzema. If these two players were added to the Madrid team, Madrid's attack would have become stronger.

Juselu is not as bad as people make him t seem. He is not world class but he is certainly not a bad player. He is a perfect fit for a short term replacement for Benzema.
Madrid do not know if they would sign Mbappe this season and Kane even looks more difficult, because in the case of Mbappe, he actually wants to join Real Madrid, he doesn't need much convincing.
Its just a matter of time before Mbappe becomes a Madrid player. It might happen this summer too because Madrid are very optimistic about the deal.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 26, 2023, 07:54:39 PM
I think it's obvious that we are going to see some big name manager, or at least we should be seeing that but we can't really see it just yet because there are just rumors. With a club size of Chelsea, we need to see players that are world famous, which we are sort of seeing already, and maybe a manager like that too.

Potter was a good manager, for a team that is fighting to be in the top 10 then I would understand, but that doesn't mean that we are going to see him do anything else. I think it's quite obvious that we are going to see a big name. I still highly suggest Mourinho, he has a past there, and he should be getting the attention again after proving himself at Roma, he is still amazing, even if he had a few bad years.

José Mourinho could improve the situation. But I don’t know if it is going to be a very big improvement. But at the same time, I think the team finishing in the 12th position is certainly a positive thing for whichever coach comes next. Because even finishing in the top six is going to mean a big improvement from here.

So I think this is a risk worth taking for José Mourinho as well. I do have some doubts about him if he will be able to actually bring some genuine improvement to the team. But at the same time, he should be able to do well because he has a done Pretty decent job with Roma.

Is there something I'm missing? I thought Chelsea already hired Pochettino to be their next manager? So why are y'all still talking about the next manager Chelsea should sign?

Chelsea problem last problem was the management not the coach or the players. they had a nice coach that was doing well in Brighton, Potter Graham flopped because of poor management in the club. and if they did not amend their involvement in the club decision, pochettino has the experience but if he is not given a free hand to operate he will still flop.

It will be really absurd to blame the management alone for the poor performance of Chelsea last season.
I agree the management had a role to play in the disaster, but there is no way in hell a team plays as Chelsea played last season and you don't blame the coach for part of it, especially if the club gives you a lot of reinforcements.
Potter was brilliant at Brighton, but that doesn't mean he was awful at Chelsea. Even the great Mourinho sucked at his second term with Chelsea. Should we excuse that because he was good ones or good at other clubs?
1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2023, 07:33:36 PM
According to transfermarkt there are two teams that want to hire Neymar for the next season and there is a high chance for him to leave PSG for Arabian teams because for players at this age and in this situation there won't be many offers from top-level teams. There is a chance for Neymar to return to Barcelona but I don't think Barcelona will accept hiring a player like Neymar to pay his high amount of salary.
That's why I'm waiting to see him playing for Arabian teams like Al Hilal

Barcelona signing Neymar wont be such a bad thing. He is still very good and still among the best in his position. The only problem Neymar has are his constant long term injuries. If he can stay fit for a whole season you'll see that very few players are better than him. He was among the best in form players before he got injured.
If there is a way he can reduce his salary significantly and PSG request for a low fee for Neymar then he can be signed.
There are people in Barcelona that want him back and there are those who do not. Neymar himself likes the idea of returning to Barca but its a very difficult thing to happen.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet on live game or while game hasn't started yet? on: June 25, 2023, 11:26:03 PM
Actually for me it depends on the game.
There are some games that looks really unpredictable even when the match is on. These kind of matches are very difficult when playing a live bet. Another bad thing about the live bet option is that, the likely outcome comes with very small odds so you have to stake high. If you go for the bigger odds then you're taking more risk. What's funny is that that option with very big odd might have been a very small odd before the game.
In live bet you have to always follow the game so you'll know how to bet, it requires more attention.
I play both options but I feel placing your bet before the game is better for me because I can just sit back and enjoy the game after betting.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 25, 2023, 10:46:45 PM
the quality between man utd and arsenal is clearly different, so when man utd succeeds in getting kane, i'm sure man utd can shift man city's dominance in the EPL (especially if man utd manages to get a mason mount from chelsea too), Kane is a very sharp attacker, he even managed to rank 2 of the EPL top scorers last season, it's a shame he wasn't in the right team so he rarely got a prestigious trophy.
ten hag has a good strategy, he is also very disciplined in building the man utd squad, he doesn't even hesitate to make cristiano uncomfortable at man utd, the next season will be very tight, we must be difficult to determine which team will win the EPL (even i not sure man city can defend their title in the next season)

Even if Manchester United succeed in signing both Harry Kane and Mason Mount, they (Manchester United are no where near Man City in terms of quality). There is so much difference between the quality of players in Man City and Man United, even if United have spent a lot on players.
Manchester City just lost Gundugan, and immediately they replaced him with Kovacic. With the way players develop well under Pep, we'll see Kovacic turn out to be the best version of himself next season.

Manchester City are still winning the premier league if you ask me. Liverpool will put up a fight. I believe the Liverpool of next season will be way stronger than the Liverpool of last season. So it might be a case of Man City at the top, Liverpool second and everybody else, including Man United struggle for third and fourth.
