So, when do you guys suggest to start buying for us that are shit in trading btc vs usd?
I'm a long term buyer, so I usually only buy if the price is stable for 24 hours. It prevents me from being burned.
1344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin become worthless? on: February 16, 2014, 08:18:21 PM

HEELPP!
I'm just saying that they will never become "worthless", save for some sort of mass duplication glitch.

I'm the best buying high and selling low. I did it buying a couple of days ago at 712, and I've done it again today, selling at 591.  Beat me Shocked  Cool

Why would you sell there if you bought at 712..
Wait a few weeks and you have a big chance we have been higher then 712.
I've never met someone who lost money by holding bitcoin in the long term. The only people who lose money in a 1000% annual bull market are the day traders.
1350  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 16, 2014, 07:44:41 PM
would you guys mind to stop this childish/unecessary/bad style/bad taste talk about his well being ? why the fuck would anyone harm him ? if one should be to blame for losing funds on gox it is only the person itself who left funds there after all.

i never get it why in forums people behave so shitty, talk about life and death of people they donīt know, as if they are commenting a hollywood movie.

It is because they have lost a lot of money and blame him. Money brings out the worst in people, and Bitcoin will show you that.
At some point, the community has to put its foot down and stop encouraging people to invest their 401ks and talk about killing people the community doesn't like.
1351  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 16, 2014, 07:39:41 PM
That the fat fuck hasn't halted trading as the price implodes suggests something nefarious. Dropping the price on a major exchange by 80% through inaction the same as directly causing the crash in my book. I am surprised it has taken this long for some sympathetic lemming selling by big guns on the other exchanges.

Ultimately with bitcoin in the public eye, on the verge of entering mainstream adoption this is precisely what we don't want to happen. The market cap of bitcoin is down to just over 5 billion from 8-10.

If i was Mark Karpeles I would be looking over my shoulder for the next few months. People have been murdered for far less.

Silver lining: buying opportunity.

very true

if he keeps going like this, it'll be a time question before he's dead lol

I agree. This isn't Silk Road guys; if we want to be treated like legitimate investors, we can't talk about assassinating people who owe us money.
1352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will GOX go below 200? on: February 16, 2014, 07:33:21 PM
Campbx is to Bitcoin exchanges as Bitcoin is to Fiat currencies.

According to the chicken, the most prudent move is to buy. History shows that FUD is always followed with greedy speculators rocketing the price back up to normal levels.
1354  Economy / Speculation / Re: What was that $540 spike on Gox on: February 16, 2014, 07:26:39 PM
Some people just buy and forget.

When bitcoin was at $800, no one cared whether they bought in at $20 or at $30.
1355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it hit $1000 again? on: February 16, 2014, 07:24:41 PM
I'm predicting $2,200 by December.

Campbx master race reporting.
1357  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Civilization 5 base game, Gods and kings DLC, and more DLC on: February 15, 2014, 02:42:49 AM
Why would anyone buy this from you, when they could buy the humble bundle themselves, give money to charity, and even pay in bitcoin?
1358  Economy / Gambling / Re: 150% Ponzi, On Time Payments Guaranteed!!! on: February 15, 2014, 02:36:03 AM
Investing in this is stupid on every level.
1359  Other / Meta / Re: PM rate limiting on: February 13, 2014, 09:11:15 PM
We should make a list of features that we want for the new forum in a single (stickied?) post. That way theymos doesn't forget the good suggestions.
1360  Other / Meta / Re: Please try again later on: February 13, 2014, 09:09:36 PM
Yea... report to mod should definitely not trigger the posting limit, definitely discourages reporting posts.  I never realized it did that.

Hopefully theymos sees this thread.
But can't the report button be spammed?

I understand this limitation more than the search limit.
