I have more interest in altcoins than bitcoin because they give more ROI, but we are not in a bull market yet and Ethereum gas fee keeps surging since yesterday, it is fair if you are sending ETH from a wallet to another but the real deal is when you plan to send tokens from a wallet to another, the gas is high and this makes me wonder what will happen in a bull market, because most of my tokens are on Erc-20 chain, what is a good way to be prepared for this?
I mean that's kinda normal because of the price spike a lot of people use the Ethereum network making it congested and pumping the network fees, you know Ethereum is already a was already a very big network so maybe you could use other networks that are for sure doesn't cost a lot when it comes to fees. Just wait until the network is back and the fees will go back to normal, sometimes there are specific days that fees are down. I mean there's no good way to prepare for it but to buy Ethereum at a lower cost, I mean it's still better instead of paying fees when Ethereum's price already skyrockets to thousands of dollars. Fees are really inevitable especially if you used these networks and it's a big problem for everyone already in the past, I mean comparing Ethereum to Solana or any other network, a lot of investors will still use Ethereum for some reason. So just need to avoid the transaction especially when you think that the fees were not fair. |

Gusto ko lang mag-rant dahil nakareceive nanaman ako ng message kay coins.ph na need ko nanaman mag send ng panibagong KYC documents despite sending them last year. Now, they are asking for various funds (e.g. bank statements, etc.) even if nasagutan ko na last year lahat ng ito. I even provided yung statements ng parents ko just to prove them the veracity of my funds sa kanilang wallet.
Medyo nakakapagod kase paulit-ulit ko nang inexplain ito last year, tapos itatanong nila ulit and hihingi nanaman ng documents. Sa ganitong system, sobrang inclined na talaga ako mag hanap ng ibang exchange- meron ba kayong ma-susuggest na exchange na pwede rin mag-cash out ng BTC to cash/php?
Agree, tumigil na rin ako sa paggamit ng coins.ph dahil dito hinihingian din ako ng mga ganitong documents ng paulet ulet, at parang lalong lumalala ang security nila marami kang matatanggap na kung ano ano lalo ka kapag ung funds na pinapadaan mo ay galing sa ibat ibang address or medjo hindi pamilyar na exchange or address siguro. Meron din akong friend na nalock na ang account niya na may laman pang funds hindi na niya maopen kahit eniexplain niya sa support dahil dito so hindi na rin talaga recommended dahil sila ang nagdedecide and any time pwd nilang ilock ang account mo. I mean that's a good start after all at least you get the experience of trading and that's where it all started. There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrencies. If we only focus on altcoins, ETH is the most successful smart contract platform that owns the largest base of fans compared to other altcoins. The current market cap of Ethereum is over $200 Billions and the this will be more likely to increase in the long term. Can ETH be considered as the King of Altcoins ? What do you think ? I mean yeah, its the top 2 cryptocurrencies so its probably the king of altcoins, Most of the altcoins probably don't come near to Bitcoin and Ethereum when it comes to market price so these two giants are just the best as a cryptocurrency and even on the investment, most of the investors would easily suggest Ethereum as an investment after bitcoin no problem. Ethereum popularity is just different compared to other cryptocurrencies I don't think there are cryptocurrencies that could come close to these two, especially on marketprice. When bitcoin becomes a thing there are a lot of projects trying to replicate bitcoin's success, but Ethereum has a different structure, different supply, etc. and that's structure is probably genius having its own network, these days other projects are now replicating Ethereum creating new networks, etc. I guess its a testimony to Ethereum's success in making a genius structure that could possibly be a big thing these years. |

Is rare this day seeing people sharing wonderful happenings in their trades or investment. The downtime is quite disheartened that people barely discuss much of crypto currency. Is your year with bitcoin completely empty or you were able to do America wonders?
As for me nothing is left on my wallets, price going down day was not a healthy type for me. Right from last year I decided that the more the deep the more I increase my investment but to some extent it was choking I could afford to keep reducing on investment pending when the price goes up again, so the year has not be really fulfilling but all hope are not lost.
What about you! How do you succeed your year with bitcoin? Is it good to you or worst kind of time?
I guess overall I was doing well accumulating bitcoin buying 2 times a month, sometimes I buy more when the market price was down by a small percentage, and probably just a normal buy when the price continue to increase since I will get more profit in the future when I buy more bitcoin especially when the market is down. So I usually increase the volume every time the market continues to go down. It wasn't a good year compared to the past year since the last time was a bull run I really did well on trading and especially NFTs where I earn a really good amount of profit on flipping, and that gives me enough to hold on to this bear market and probably survive, I just quit my job recently but I can still find ways to earn income and I do save a little bit for my bitcoin investment every time I earn. |

Electrum maybe? That way you would know that you have your wallet with you all the time, and it would be protecting you as much as possible. Ledger is obviously the best choice, there is also trezor as well which is another hardware wallet, and there is metamask which is basically not for bitcoin but definitely for great tokens that you could use or even coins.
That is why I highly suggest metamask more than others, bitcoin can be saved in a million ways, but for coins and tokens using metamask is by far the best one. It doesn't even have your money, it is not a wallet, it is just allows you to use your money with better GUI that's it.
Totally agree, if you want a great bitcoin wallet online just used Electrum since it is just so easy to use and set up compared to other wallets and way secured instead of using exchanges or custodial wallets. Been using Electrum wallet for years starting in 2017 didn't really encounter any problems, the only thing is you just need to update the wallet every time it got an update since it didn't update automatically, but it's a good thing since the application was actually getting better over time in my experience. Metamask overall was a great wallet in my opinion, especially for holding a lot of cryptocurrency and trading NFTs, etc. but you just need to be careful and be aware of things that you do in the wallet since there are way too many scammers and hackers trying to infiltrate your account in many different ways, and there are many people getting hacks in the past. |

I trust hardware wallet more than my bank account and Binance exchange, but if you are ask to choose between banks and Binance exchange which one do you trust the most? I throw this question to crypto friends around me and they choose Binance exchange.
I wonder why though, because I feel like banks should be more trusted, my bank for example, has been running for over 20 years and nothing bad happened except, for high charge fees, but my fiat is always in safe hands, I don't know, maybe I missed something? So I plan to ask on here, which one would you trust the most and why?
I mean both Banks and Binance are centralized and when it comes to investment I wouldn't really trust both of them, but they both have advantages and disadvantages at the same time. Binance was a pretty popular exchange and probably the best exchange where you could trade but it is still vulnerable to hacking like what happened to other exchanges. I mean I would put some of the money on Binance and invest a small percentage but mostly because of trading and converting my cryptocurrency. Similar to what happened to FTX, it could easily happen to Binance at some point. I would probably trust the bank more than Binance since you could easily go to banks locally and report when you encounter problems, Ideally, when we are talking about long-term I would easily pick a bank to put my money but there are still a lot of issues like hacking, phishing, etc. Recently a friend that gets his bank account hack around 600$ was sent to another account, As far as I know, when the money was already out of the bank you cannot recover your funds especially if it is your fault that you get hacked, but one of my worry here if when it is an inside job how are you going to prove that its not your fault. |

For severall weeks now we went thru the pages where you can earn Sats by clicking ads, playing games and investment. It makes me wonder why people create opportunity and at the same time try to screw their contributors.. Their TOS (most pages have identical TOS) have those kind or rules: You can transfer your Account Balance funds to your Purchase Balance with a fee of 90%. This is the primary use of this service. Members can earn money and invest them back in the respective page .
For request the first payment you need to click 100 advertisement and you need to get 10 active referrals. Active referrals are counted only for active members calculated by our secret algorithm. When you manage to channel your Sats out you have 2 to 3 days till arrival (reception) and that is a long time even in crypto. At the same time most of those pages try to get big investment, Its hard to believe that after reading those TOS an investor findthem suitable. We have had a similar one in the past years on some websites like gambling websites where you could earn sats by clicking ads, and sometimes just for clicking and visiting the website. It has a lot of shady things so I wouldn't trust it, in my experience doesn't this wasn't worth it considering the time and effort you put into this. So I suggest just find other ways to earn bitcoin or just invest and trade bitcoin this kind of stuff is just a waste of your time. If you could really earn on this website I'm pretty sure that it is just a very small amount. The requirements are too difficult to fulfill, and I'm not sure many people are up to it. Besides that, why wait 2 to 3 days to receive the payment because we should be able to withdraw the money whenever we want, and the site should be ready for everything.
I think it is a form of scam that has often happened where we will be asked to fulfill other requirements before we can withdraw the money, even though it does not guarantee that we will get the money after fulfilling these requirements. Coinbase just launched a new marketing campaign on Twitter by dropping a New Bitcoin advert. It is pretty good as it highlights some of the biggest flaws of the US financial system. If you have not watched it then you can view it here. Interestingly, the advertisement was great and it seems like coinbase is talking about cryptocurrency not directly about bitcoin but still talking about shady things like fees, transactions, atm, banks, etc. which is I think a great move introducing a new system like cryptocurrency avoiding this kind of things would probably attract a lot of users to buy cryptocurrency. It could still introduce a lot of users into cryptocurrency at least even though most of us hate coinbase and doesn't really recommend coinbase because it's still a centralized exchange, but the ads could be better if they could somehow show a glimpse of the bitcoin logo there or maybe any cryptocurrency. This was probably one of the best ads of coinbase, hopefully, coinbase could start something that could support their users when it comes to decentralization, the fact it is a centralized exchange just completely discourages a lot of users as well as high fees. |

I've seen alot of projects did so well during the bull market, but now I'm wondering is bear market will affect the progress of a new project...
Probably not, A lot of investor doesn't invest at these times since the market is down only a few investors have the courage to continue to invest because they probably not going to earn a big amount of profit since the market have very small movements Unless you have the funds to sustain your investment most of the time it will be a loss when investing on top cryptocurrency. Imagine putting funds into a really risky project that has a very small chance of success, most likely the community will be small at a bear market because the market lose a lot of volume and funds, and most of the investors will probably take a break since its the best thing to do after all. I know some developers that start their own NFT projects and it is not a good start for them because when they start launching their project the market suddenly goes down and that really affects their project affecting investors, Most of the time projects will still earn profit or should I say the developers but most of the project doesn't continue and deliver, so I will avoid projects, especially in a bear market. Everything will skyrocket when the on bull run and that's the best time since investors invest a lot at that time. Thanks for your comments. I have a question then. If we only prep and launch the project during the bull, don't you think it will be a bit slow as thousands of projects will be launched at that time as well? I do agree the community shrinked alot compare to during the bull market, but in bear market when there are not much projects going on, the chance of standing out will be higher. Or in another way, when the bull is back, people will have more confident on the project that already built for a period. Don't you think so? It is a good thing if you prepare and launch the project during the bull run but of course, it could slow down your projects when projects launch at the same time, most projects will avoid launching at the same time as some of the small projects to avoid getting overpowered by the bigger project, I mean investors don't really have all the money in the world so if they are going to invest at the same time they are going to invest to projects that have a big hype on the community since it has a higher chance of getting a good profit. You have a point of having a chance of standing out but the community is just so small at a bear market, so in my opinion, comparing the possible profit that could earn on Bullrun vs bear is enormous in my opinion. I personally know developers that launch projects that didn't go well on the bear market standing out and delivering what you promise is not an easy job so standing out is not enough if there were only a few investors that are going to invest. When the project fails or didn't get that attention it's always difficult to recover even when the bull run is back. |

Do you think is the right thing to convince someone to invest in bitcoin?
Okay, from my understanding and sense of reasoning I don't think is ideal to convince people to venture into bitcoin without their self willingness.
What do I mean by self willingness?
I have came across two individuals having a serious dispute over convincing him to invest in bitcoin with his little saving around my neighborhood, lemme clear something here, there are some people who invested in bitcoin without them knowing there is a place they called a bitcointalk forum, maybe those people venture into bitcoin by just buying and hold on centralized exchange where they thought is very easily for them to control and sells off without immediate delay.
As the story continue, so he said of his friend should pay him back of the money he invested during the bull and it happens that what he invested was down by 60% or even more where he feels unbearably for him to wait more further, he went on saying he's friend should come pay him all his invested money since the price refuses to get back to previous price and he is wanting to use this money for long, to crown it all, he also temper with his mother's funds thinking it would increase more, little did he know the market would dropped unpredictably. Well it's a very long story where the investor reported the case to our local police authority and he was arrested for fraud after paying him back he was released, keep in mind i just try to shorten the whole story but my aim of posting this is to know whether is it good to convince people to invest or not..
At this point something came into my mind of sharing here to let people know whether is good to convince people to venture into bitcoin investment or not.
Now, before doing whatever you think is right of doing, try as much as possible not to convince anyone to invest into bitcoin, as it may be people don't always think of disadvantages rather, they are being carried away with positive sides of the talk without knowing the side effects of the bear market.
You can go teach whomever that you wishes to teach, give them reason why they should invest and the other reason why they shouldn't invest if their heart is not yet ready, and let it be they are ready to accept all lost that may arose or arise at any given point than just convincing them to invest without detailing it properly to them in as much as we want a max adoption, also try your very possible best to abstain yourself from being tag and called scammer or a fraudster. Always wait for their feedback and willingness before you could just tell them to start buying bitcoin or holding bitcoin.
Do not convince anyone rather, give them the reasons and benefits of holding bitcoin which includes the advantages and disadvantages, reason because your understanding towards bitcoin and digital money, innovation aren't the same with those who are not mentally developed.
The floor is open for everyone to discuss about their thought and feelings towards this.
Note; I don't intend to discourage anyone from spreading the max adoption of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies at larg.
I mean why would you convince them to invest, I guess it's better to teach them what cryptocurrency and what bitcoin is, than how risky investing in it is going to be, you know there's no point in convincing someone to invest in bitcoin because at the end of the day, it's their own money or funds and they can do anything that they want on it after explaining and teaching them what bitcoin is then they could decide if they are going to invest on it. Understanding the risk of investing in cryptocurrency means they accept that at some point they are always a chance that they could lose their money, so there was no responsibility unless they were some kind of investment scheme where they actually ask people for investments and then promise a percentage on your investment. I guess it is just that people get blinded by the profit and investment since some people get lucky thinking that they will be lucky as well, people convince them and says that it is guaranteed to earn which is not then in the end blame. |

Ito ang aking natutunan mula nung bumagsak sa 15k+ ang BTC at ibang altcoin, at pumalo ng 23k+ palaging magtake ng profit, at wag masyadong advance mag isip sana ay may natutunan din ang ibang tulad ko na bago sa crypto. Maraming mga investors at hindi mo rin naman naten sila masisis dahil siguro wala pa silang experience pagdating sa cryptocurrency or trading, madalas at normal lang naman na maraming mga tao talaga ang nahihikayat maginvest lalo na kapag bull run and masmadaming naniniwala kapag tuloy tuloy na ang pagangat ng market. Kaya masmaganda talaga na bumili na habang at magacumulate na ng bitcoin or cryptocurrency habang wala pa ang bull run dahil for sure magsskyrocket na ang presyo ng lahat ng cryptocurrency so its always a profit naman in bull run. Mahirap din naman talagang pigilan ang iyong sarili lalo sa pagiinvest madalas ay nadadala tayo ng ating emosyon at nagiging greedy sa profit na maaari nating makuha, madalas ay nagreresulta ito sa pagkatalo. Iniiwasan ko ang paglagay ng malaking pera basta basta ngunit minsan ay gusto din ko rin naman na magrisk dahil madalas ay high risk high reward din naman ito at i guess siguro parte na rin ang thrill sa pagtatrade. |
