So urgent actions are neded

Urgent action?  Like what kind of action?
1342  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 18, 2014, 01:47:14 PM
Anyone who believes they will receive a check or 1.2+ TH miner from AMT is delusional at this point. When we sent them money we gambled and lost. If you have the time and patience, your only recourse is legal, and only on the criminal side. Civil proceedings to try to get your money back will be fruitless. I've seen this with other scammers like AMT.

Civil proceedings have their merit.

I think most folks can't see the big picture here.  There are much bigger customers who have purchased from AMT,  these folks have a lot more legal muscle to ensure that they protect their investments.

I have no interest in seeing anyone going to jail.  My only interest is a return on my investment.

That is the target, and I suggest everyone stick on topic.  Making the jump to a criminal accusation does not serve anyone's interest at this point.

yes interest too .wanna join in .

Dear Frictionless
I sent message in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=422052.msg4825535#msg4825535 confirming my particpation in NEX project - that was sent on 29Jan but I'm not in stakeholder list. Where should I complain about it?
Thanks

No worries.  We have not tallied this thread completely yet.  However,  make sure you add your email... see www.nexcoin.net

BTW, DragonMiner isn't the only coincraft miner that is on sale.

Here's another one:  https://www.minersource.net/products/1-th-slash-s-28nm-miner

1346  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 10:56:13 PM
shipping twice the hardware to make quoted spec is a losing battle.  they've got to man up and do something.  the silent treatment isn't making them any friends.

at this point, i bet there are customers who are technically inclined and would be happy to just get the cards and controllers, then assemble their own rig with their own power.  less than optimal, but it's better than nothing.  if i had my money out there, i'd be open to that option.

Reality check,  nobody is going to make any new orders for AMT miners until they show proof of delivery of one coincraft miner.

So if they ship two miners because it is expedient to do... then they should do so!

In fact,  if they went the Bitmain route,  they could ship two miners and ask the customer to supply the power supplies!

Anything is better than nothing!

1347  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 10:13:39 PM

the funny thing is, I read almost the exact same statement back in December and january.  not form you, but a couple of others.

what has proven to be delivered?  a handful of technobit 80GH rigs, that were sloppily pieced together.  That's it!  period.  end of story.

Has anyone met any of the AMT crew face to face?  ever been inside of their office?   i didnt think so.  i have never heard of a legitimate company, where they have MILLIONS of dollars of customer money, and nobody has ever actually met them.  Yes, they seemed nice enough on the phone, and i did get a 80GH rig.

They could easily set the record straight, if they were legit and cared to do so.  The lack of effort makes one lean towards them not being as legit as they would want you to believe.  I could care less whether they are or arent at this point, since i no longer have a stake in them.  Morbid curiosity for me at this point.

Those FACTS are hard to ignore.

If they could deliver technobit rigs then they surely could deliver some Bitmine boards.

The problem is that the Bitmine boards have issues (that's why Bitmine create a new revision) and the Bitmine boards need more power than they may have expected.  Something like 1600w power supply.  This is also validated by Bitmine in their inability to deliver anything more than a 800 GHs system.

So, at this time it appears that even if AMT has all those rev.2 Bitmine based boards,   they can't ship anything better than 800 GHs.

Well may I suggest,  can they ship two 600 GHs (3 cards each) ?

AMT if you are listening, is that something that you can do?
1348  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 09:24:07 PM
The Bitmine.ch coincraft A1 miners are real:

It is a 800 GHs unit with a 1000 watt power supply according to the owner.

AMT will need 6 boards and possibly a 1600 watt power supply to hit their 1.2 THs target.

At least there is proof in the wild that a Coincraft A1 exists.

The only question now is how long will it take for AMT to deliver.

I recall there is a note somewhere in Bitmine.ch site that says they can delivery anything that is less  than 800 GHs.   Anything more will be delayed until they get the Rev 3.0 boards 2-3 weeks from now.

Honestly,  I think AMT is in a bad situation right now, unable to deliver a 1.2 Ths system.   Maybe they should offer their customers two 600 GHs systems in compensation?  Something is better than nothing!!

1349  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 08:01:12 PM
if you do the math it gets real interesting.    consider a lowball number of orders, say 1000, of the lowest end coincraft based rigs, the 500GH rig, at $4000 each.   That's $4million worth of money they took in.   actual number is probably in the $8-10million range.

nicely executed scam.  send out a few low end models, so as to prove legitimacy, and not dig too deep into their pockets, and really get the orders for the expensive rigs rolling in.

how many actual confirmed delivered rigs according to these boards?  3-5?  so spend $10k of the pre-order revenues to perpetuate the lies, and to sucker in $4-10million, maybe more?  brilliant!!!

once again, this is only a conspiracy theory, on which i have no facts, other than a handful of delivered 80-120GH rigs, no deliveries of epensive rigs(500GH and up), and no verified place of business(they claim they are there, yet nobody has actually stood face to face with them at their office).

if it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck.......  you may have yourselves a duck.

i really hope for your guys' sake, i am wrong.  i hate seeing people get scammed out of their hard earned cash.  but, if you read the very first post in this topic, it is labeled Caveat Emptor.

One problem with the theory that the were setting up the scam from day one is this.

They could continue to propagate the scam by delivering at least one 1.2 THs unit to a customer.

Unfortunately,  not a single one was delivered.
1350  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 07:28:21 PM
Bitmine.ch has several posts yesterday.

Anyway, the interesting one is this:  http://bitmine.ch/?p=5329

Appears they need a 1300 W power supply to drive their 1 THs system.

How big a power supply do you think AMT needs of a 1.2 THs system?

Bitmine also is upgrading their board.... they say it will take 2-3 weeks to deliver.  :-(

This is a plain and simple disaster!

1351  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 06:54:05 PM
another possible scenario is this:

They're waiting for Bitmain to deliver their 1TH S2 rigs, and re-branding those as AMT machines.  LOL.  wouldnt surprise me at all.

If they don't want to go to jail then maybe that is what they should do.  Alternatively,  refund their customers money!
1352  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 04:21:48 PM
I'll give it until the date they said my miner will ship by + the 1-3 days for expedited shipping. If it's not at my house I'll request a refund. If I do not receive one I'll show up in person, and make sure I either leave with a miner or my money. My branch has a bank in town and I'll escort someone from AMT right there to deposit the money. Then I'll turn around and buy an Bitmain S2 and a few S1s

LOL. Good luck with that. You'll show up at their door, and no one will be home. They're not ever at their "office". Then what?

I'd still send a certified letter with return receipt prior to filing. It's solid documented proof that you sent a request and they received it as it actually has to be signed for, then if they don't respond it should help strengthen the case.

Again, useless. They won't sign for it. People have tried visiting them. They're not there.

I don't think you should discourage people from doing what they need to do to get a refund.

1353  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AMT order list on: March 17, 2014, 03:16:52 PM
im still to have a reply from AMT as the last e.mail i recieved was on the 17th of feb from Jim stating my miner would ship within a week but guess what.... no miner no tracking number and no further e.mails or response to sent e.mails im not spamming them but i have sent approx 8 e.mails since the last correspondence one 2 mins after i received the one on 17th but it seems they just dont want to talk. id get better customer service from a brick wall, really frustrating.

Which e-mail address are you using?

im using the only ones i can find which is sales@AdvancedMiners.com and Orderverify@advancedminers.com

It should not be a customers problem to figure out what email address to get a response from.

1354  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 12:51:04 PM
I will be going the small claims court route today.

I have given them the weekend to respond on a refund and they have not done so.

Companies that are this late in delivering should be making the extra effort to accommodate their customers, not the exact opposite.
1355  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 12:21:51 AM
Looks like Bitmine will stop shipping its Rev.2 systems.

http://bitmine.ch/?p=5402

Same kind of system that AMT has yet to ship a single unit of.
1356  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 12:12:29 AM

Here is the reply I got from Josh today. He really wants me to believe the check was "lost in the mail"... I showed him an email response I received from the FBI's cyber crimes and wire fraud division and now he's upset. For a college graduate Mr. Zipkin has a very loose grasp of the English language.

Craig,

All of these institutions have already heard of us and we've already spoken to them in advanced in one form or another. Different clients preferred to file in different agencies, Including the PA AG, BBB, IC3, FCC, and several others. What we're doing is not illegal because we are in fact shipping units and showing proof of shipping to these agencies, we have proof of manufacturing delays and proof of  materials received and shipped as well. If you like to continue to filing complaints, please by all means do, because they have already been informed of our company and we've have already been down that road them.

Furthermore,

We in fact did sent out your check Craig, but even so in the case that it didn't make it to you, which I asked you to let me know in the previous email on Thursday the 13th,  I gave you the option of receiving your miner or fedexing you a refund check so that at this point would could track it.

Now, because of your hostility and complaints, we'll just ship you a miner next week.

Regards,

Josh

Hmmm?

PA AG  - What's this?

BBB - Better Business Bureau

IC3 - Internet Crime

FCC - Federal Communications

What about the FTC?

I'm still waiting for a refund from my refund request.

1358  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 15, 2014, 03:24:35 PM
Time to wake up and smell the bullshit. AMT brought this upon themselves, and now you just want everyone to 'be nice'. Not going to happen.

There is still a small, but fast-closing window, for AMT to start acting like a respectable business and tell us the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but and then to work with us to find a solution of some kind.

If there is any saving AMT, they need to tell us everything, right now.  I don't care what the truth is, I just want to know and I want them to stop lying, stop hiding.  Tell us that they really are a bunch of b-school dropouts who thought that starting a bitcoin mining machine manufacturer would be just as easy as creating a web site, and now they really are sorry that they realize their mistake; tell us that they are sorry about lying about having already shipped, when in fact not a single unit has been built and shipped by AMT; tell us that they were horribly wrong and now are in way over their heads; apologize for being defensive and non-responsive, and mean it; tell us customers, who have essentially funded their company, exactly what the product designs exist, what testing results are, what problems need to be overcome; and with us customers, develop a realistic plan to delivery something soon, OR  give up, sell off assets, and refund on a pro rata basis as much as possible but in any case involve us in the decision since its our money they wasted.

I am not saying all that is true, only that the real truth can't be much worse than that.  While not everyone might be so generous, I am willing to be "nice" if I know that AMT is working with us and being upfront, giving us everything now that it is clear they cannot delivery as promised.

The more I hear nothing from AMT, the more I am convinced that documents are being shredded and assets hidden while we wait and that makes me want to act quickly.  And to AMT: you know my name, go ahead and google me.  Ask yourself if you really want someone with my resources chasing you to the ends of the earth.  If AMT doesn't speak up soon, I won't care about my investment (doubled as I tried to help AMT out) I will be a lot more interested in seeing someone go to jail.

Your decision Josh or whomever you are.  Please make the right decision.

I've already got the ball rolling on this. The only times I have received responses is by threats of legal action, once I acknowledge their bank knows them, they were happy and excited that someone was willing to vouch for them, however they were upset I was playing detective and calling the neighboring businesses. I will not vouch for them until I have my working miner in hand that was promised to me over a month ago. If I don't get my money/miner will I be upset? sure. Will it kill me? no. But AMT wants to scam me, I will do everything in my legal capacity to make sure someone pays for trying to screw me over and I don't care if I have to shell out more money to make that happen.

Not to diss you, bud, but I find it odd that a bank would state who is or isn't their customer via simply asking. Now, if you had a check in hand depicting their account number, the only info they should be able to answer is if there's enough funds in the account to satisfy the check. NOTHING more. Not even correcting the spelling of a name if you had to spell it out to them. I, for one, would close my account at any bank if I learnt that a stranger was able to walk up to the counter, or via phone, and ask if I had an account with them. That is a very valuable piece of information regardless if the answer is yes or no.

Again, not a diss toward you, bud, with apologies.

No offense taken. But I did get the banks info off the internet and I called them directly. Eagle National Bank. I didn't ask if they were customers of Eagle, I just asked if anyone in their office has seen or heard of AMT and the lady said "yes of course, they are customers of ours". As I said, they didn't tell me they have seen them in their physical address only they are customers of theirs which means little to no value to me. I have yet to hear from locals that they have physically been in AMT and seen them and no, a post on a forum saying someone has been there is not sufficient.

A user here 'grumpybear' or something like that got a refund check from them.  You could query them for the exact bank info.

So what shall I do to have my part, if any?

Sorry why is it that I'm not in the list?
I expressed my interest quite early here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=422052.msg4650801#msg4650801

Not to worry.  We have not tallied up all those interested.

If you like of Facebook or follow on Twitter then you can get a larger stake than just submitting your email.

Alternatively, you can add yourself to this waiting list.

when launch?

A conservative estimate (since it takes a lot of effort to build something entirely new) would be by April.
