Because you are interested in the relative change.
$1 increase when you are at $1, that's a huge deal. $1 increase when you are at $120 is nothing.
Are you telling me that when looking at stocks charts, you use a linear scale?
I already addressed why that isn't feasible, and yes, I do use linear charts with stocks. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.stack.imgur.com%2FjiFfM.jpg&t=663&c=12nJOQxm0udmcA)

Oh look, a non-logarithmic chart!

But why aren't you taking the high of the $265 candle? You can make many, many shapes if you can choose any length of candle.

Hmm..
I must practice my triangle-fu, I still don't see it.

We are moving forward at a pace that is not linear, maybe not exponential, but quadratic or somewhere like that.
y = ax 2 + bx + c ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Did you really mean that, or was it rather double exponential?

That's not the equivalent of printing money; that's the equivalent of cutting a penny into trillions of pieces.

I had no problem taking a walk knowing that our saviour wall was there. Now however, I don't really feel safe enough to go sleep. ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif)

Considering the far smaller devs support, the higher transaction fees, the more than rare business support... Yes, I think Litecoin is more risky. Probably running 100% on hype for now.
Not that you can't make an important profit if you can ride the wave.

White is for round numbers.

Bitcoin still needs its ISO code so that it can be supported by mainstream forex firms, like xe.com and oanda.
I highly doubt that a ISO code is the only reason why we don't see Bitcoin on the major forex exchanges.

As someone who's finding the whole MtGox/Coinlab contract suspiciously one sided, it's with great interest that I'm watching this thread. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
