1341  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina to Hike Interest Rates to 75% as Inflation Nears 100% on: September 24, 2022, 04:49:51 PM
I am not from Argentina but I understand this measures the Argentina  government are taking from experiences and in all my experience on it this is never an ending solution to an inflation situation.
I personally see it as unfair for government to try rescue the financial issues of the country by trying to make life even more hard for its citizens.

Inflation is currently a global situation that many countries are having right now. Just recently my local currency Naira just went down and it's now $1 for 719 Naira (my local currency) and yet no measures has been taking in tackling this situation. I am no economical guru but I think any measure that needs to be taking should be one that doesn't worsen the situation too much and has long term efficiency.
1342  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy bitcoin on: September 24, 2022, 03:55:51 PM
You can buy it on exchange this is a very popular option but in buying Bitcoin especially in bulk from exchanges they give away your identity and some kyc verification is needed, so there are some problems buying Bitcoin in large amounts of you are from a country that has an active ban on crypto-currency.

Another option that countries with ban it restrictions is peer to peer but this method needs even more security sensitivity, I won't advice you buy in bulk using this method but with a good escrow that is very trusted the transactions can go on fine, well I am more concerned about a successful transaction than a cheap transaction rate and I think you too should.
1343  Economy / Economics / Re: US is a ‘developing country’ on rankings that measure democracy, inequality on: September 23, 2022, 08:46:42 PM
I don't think US is a developing country and even using your ranking.
I am well aware that there is corruption everywhere in the world no doubt and so there is definitely traces of corruption in the U.S. but compared to many countries in the world the United States of America should have a spot in the top ten less corrupt ranking.

Democracy and inequality to me has many aspect there is an aspect where racial influences comes in and also an aspect where gender issues comes in, this has been a global issues for so long and not even US has gotten it completely right.

There is so much attention on U.S that when ever this issues happens it becomes globally know. That's not to say it is most experienced in the US. Many other countries are far worse in this areas but it is mostly swept under the radar and covered up with makeup sentiments.
1344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Today I become a Satoshi millionaire on: September 23, 2022, 07:53:25 PM
Congratulations mate and this isn't an achievement that should be underrated, I always believe that if I am doing better than I used to do then that's improvement no matter how small the difference maybe. And definitely I can say that's the case for you.

I have a dream where I won't be calculating the amount of Bitcoin I have in dollars to know my worth and I can be able to freely use Bitcoin the way I use Fiat any where in the world, this is my vision and when this happens it would show how strong bitcoin adaptation has come. Keep stacking those satoshi OP even if it's $10 a week you won't regret it in future.
1345  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: September 22, 2022, 07:33:15 PM
Politics of the country is of national interest and everyone needs to take it very seriously. We Nigerians are at a very critical point in our political situation. yes there is no historic event happening just yet, but I say this because the intelligence and resolve of the citizens of Nigeria is transforming and the era we are now is an era where enough is enough.

We have seen the recent matches and revolutionary movements across different state of the country, many said it was just social media support but we have now see how people actually takes this very seriously. This is a make or break point for Nigeria, we haven't come this close in recent past elections in making a wise choice, what ever decision we make come 2023 would either make or break the country.

You don't tell a man who to vote I know this but I can only encourage us to kick aside tribe, sentiment or personal interest and vote wisely come next year elections.
1346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what will happen after 21 million bitcoins are mined? (in layman's terms) on: September 22, 2022, 06:54:18 PM
Well I think you have an idea what happens when all the 21 million Bitcoin completely enters circulation, there is no complications to it.
Satoshi Bitcoin creator made only 21 million bitcoin and although the aren't all mined but that's the maximum amount that can possibly be mined, once this happens now, all available would be in circulation and then would be controlled by the market, the demand of bitcoin then should surpass that of the supply so by my calculations I think when all possible bitcoin would have been mined we would see serious Bitcoin price rise.
1347  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto jobs make government jobs irrelevant in the near future? on: September 21, 2022, 09:01:59 PM
Honestly speaking if anyone has the chance to only pick one then I think the would work with the job that pays highest, if the government work pays highest then they would skip the Crypto jobs and Vice versa. But many people actually are currently working both.

I don't know for others but the best job anyone needs is a job the created for themselves (self employment) it's actually not easy to attain but if achieved gives you freedom and also increase cash flow that isn't independent on salaries. Crypto-currency has more opportunities to make an individual more self employed and dependent. But government work is created to cage an individual and it could be worse if you from a less developed country with cases of government not sending out salaries as at when due.
1348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto wallets have a long way to go on: September 21, 2022, 08:50:57 PM
You don't have to be tech savvy to do the basis that can protect your wallet one of my personal favorite is having a 2FA authentication on your device this doesn't only give you some safety on your wallet but it can also generally protect your other applications too.

It's one thing to understand that you aren't completely safe having your cryptos on an exchange rather keeping them in your personal wallet and it's another thing to actually protect the wallet. If one disciplined and careful with their private keys, password and device in addition with 2FA . It would make it hard for hackers to penetrate the persons wallet.
1349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What amount of fiat and/bitcoin would you consider safe holding in a bear market on: September 21, 2022, 08:35:21 PM
I can not understand how holding Fiat has to do with the Crypto-currency bear market, to be honest Crypto-currency isn't yet completely adopted and everyone still makes use of them, there is no way you can control the Amount of Fiat you would be needing there can always be emergencies that would make you need them.

Well the bear market is a down period in the crypto-currency space but in my own opinion holders of Bitcoin has little or no reason to worry, well except for short term holders who had intentions of gaining quickly, Bitcoin would definitely bounce back and an all time can even happen as close by as next year, so I can say anyone can hold any amount of Bitcoin that they can afford without borrowing.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invitation to teach Bitcoin in a school on: September 20, 2022, 07:18:56 PM
Good work OP. Nice to see you adding the knowledge you already have about Crypto-currency to your locality. Since many people have started to develop the interest of spreading Crypto-currency knowledge to their community I think it's time we had a discussion on what really need to be taught to kids about Crypto-currency.

I was recently in a soft argument with someone about teaching the younger ones about crypto-currency but he asked why teach something to kids when they aren't of the legal age to even own or perform crypto-currency transactions, although I have been in Crypto for a while now but I have not really thought there is any age restrictions to that, I don't know if the restrictions is different in other countries.

I think educating the younger ones about crypto-currency should not be extensive, I think just like the OP has taught those kids we should adhere to it by teaching them the basis, personally I think anyone else teaching kids about owning a wallets, performing transactions on exchanges and even trading is leading them astray going by their age.
1351  Economy / Economics / Re: Development of bitcoin in Nigeria and it's economic effect on: September 18, 2022, 07:49:58 PM
Nigeria is really a country to regard in terms of Crypto-currency. Being a citizen of Nigeria I know first hand what the interest Nigerian has on Crypto-currency. Nigeria is amongst the top 15 countries in term of Crypto-currency usage and I see Nigeria entering top 10 if a new government is elected and is more crypto friendly.

There are really many reasons Nigerians has to adopt crypto and the development would be continuous
# devalue of the Nigerian currency: the Naira which is Nigeria local currency has really lost value. Nigerians has resorted now to saving in Bitcoin or stablecoin

# technological advancements: Nigeria is shifting very fast technologically and that's because of many of its youths are developing technological skills to make themselves employed. Crypto-currency offers such opportunities.

#Safety and decentralization and so much more reasons
1352  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Manipulation looks like on: September 18, 2022, 07:02:55 PM
This is a frequent tactics the whales know how to play well, and amongst the reason people don't believe in a coin. Also this whales has other tactics they use and that is buying Influences and if they already popular they make use of their own influences. We all have this business tycoons we all admire, follow, but their books and believe their theories now this make it easy for them. They can set one up to buying a particular coin by just speaking on the potentials and they supporting the coin. Many people can actually don't won’t to research but rather choose to follow the influences of whales or crypto influencers we have seen many projects rise by such influences but only a small portion still stays relevant.
1353  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is ftx really good or just overrated? on: September 18, 2022, 05:07:59 PM
If the FTX can give you all you want irrespective of a boring app interface then it's really not a big deal at all to me. One of the more pressing issues I have with exchanges are its verification processes with are seeming to get even tougher. Yes I know more and more news are coming out about scammers and other sort of vices, but compromising the decentralized nature of crypto-currency beats the aim of Crypto-currency being decentralized.
Exchanges like binance aren't better when it comes to the incessant requirements of verification some of which demands details that I would consider private,
If you ask be I am beginning to appreciate no kyc nor AML requirements exchange even more as they protect your privacy and some of them are very secured.
1354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 18, 2022, 04:22:21 PM
Simple but very straightforward this are some basis that newbies need to know, although I would expect them not to take this as a scare but a preparation tips that would help them avoid or minimize financial losses in crypto-currency.
Also set your mentality on the Fact that Bitcoin and crypto-currency has other functionalities that doesn't have to do with investments, how they can increase the adoption of Crypto-currency in simple ways by accepting crypto-currency as a means of payments if they have businesses, how to handle news, rumors, FOMO and FUDs.
1355  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The economic danger of China and Taiwan war on: September 17, 2022, 09:06:15 PM
There is never a war that doesn't have its effect, the war between Russia and Ukraine has already caused great loss of lives, resources, wealth and so much more and definitely of a war ensue between The peoples republic of China an Taiwan there would be Ripple effects felt around the world but there are some corrections I would like you to know first it's about your thoughts on the involvement of binance if a war is to come between the two.

#Binance isn't a company under the ownership of the Chinese government changpeng  Zhao is the CEO of binance and has the right to lead his company any way he wants.

# Binance isn't the only crypto exchange so regardless of their stands if a war happens if there isn't a collective agreement from other exchanges on sanctions binance alone won't do much harm.

I pray it doesn't get To a war, economy would worsen, ties and friendship between countries would break down even before it starts to affect crypto it would have really caused so much damages to citizens of the two countries and the world at large.
1356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My crypto/Bitcoin advice. on: September 17, 2022, 08:32:44 PM
Firstly what's your personal experience? You didn't mention that, although to some degree you are right many people have found means of livelihood from Bitcoin and crypto-currency some has even retired early due to what they have earned from Bitcoin and crypto-current, not everyone has the same story, not everyone bought the right coin early or had a big success in trading, not everyone is rich enough to get the gadget and power to run Bitcoin mining, yes there are good channels to kick off a sustainable earning from bitcoin but not everyone may fit in if they don't bring in what they already possess into crypto-currency.

You can build yourself a sustainable life in crypto by working it out, I have repeatedly said it, you don't need to be an investor, trader, exchange owner or a miner to start. Use your skill earn in crypto and accumulate gradually.
1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy a token if its price never went up and you could never sell it? on: September 17, 2022, 08:12:04 PM
Can I be able to make use of it, like would this token have Utilities, mass acceptances and also how secured would it be, I really don't mind if you created a token and it's price is fixed and there is no room to sell it of, there are already many coins that one can always sell off.

I would be interested in your token if you have good marketing and the publicity of this token leads to great acceptance. It's price fixed mean I can be at a loss with it. Already many speculations has been made on how secured some of this stable coin are, so if you can ensure security as well I believe many would be interested in your proposed token.
1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 17, 2022, 07:49:27 PM
Barcelona continues their amazing journey in laliga again with a win today against Elche. And the goal scoring machine Robert lewandoski scored a brace. I wasn't chance to watch the UEFA champions league encounter between Barcelona and Bayern Munich but watching the highlights it's not hard to say that Barca dominated the game and even created more chance than Bayern Munich but the fear of the past encounter with the giants from Germany still had a psychological effect on them.

I strongly believe that Barcelona are amongst the top team in Europe right now and this several wins proves that fact.
1359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: In your opinion is this the end for Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency? on: September 16, 2022, 08:48:48 PM
In my own opinion you don't have any solid point to why you even think it's the end of Bitcoin, and ignorance isn't an excuse here because you can always do your own research. This won't be the worse situation Bitcoin has found it self in fact it's not even close, and still that didn't bring an end to bitcoin.

Have we now ran out of topics for this sort of topic to be a thing? When they say crypto-currency is volatile this is Exactly what it means, the price would always fluctuate and this shouldn't cause a post about bitcoin dead or not during Market price fall.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 16, 2022, 08:02:40 PM
After a break due to the death of late Queen Elizabeth the English premier league was put on hold now it's back again and tomorrow it starts with
#Wolves vs Manchester city: I think this Manchester team hasn't yet hit its potential but they are so disciplined to get the job done, but wolves won't be an easy opponent but regardless I think they have all it takes to win

#Newcastle United vs Bournemouth: United has been very fearless this season and has attacked team vigorously, I think they would be a force this season if their defense is worked on, I believe they would win this match

#Tottenham vs Leicester city: spurs has stated to get exposes in their style of play and I see luck running out on them after always getting lucky in winning matches, Leicester city has also been very poor too. I think this match would be a draw.
