So true. No country has fallen economically after adopting bitcoin either as a commodity asset or as a security asset. And in fact El Salvador seems to be enjoying some advantages in the tourism sector after they adopted bitcoin as legal tender in their country. So actually every country that is open with bitcoin and allows its citizens to invest in bitcoin will make the country have more income from the taxes that are collected by the country from the transactions of its citizens on the exchange. Well in my country in Indonesia have done it. And all went well. The government gets additional revenue from crypto taxes and citizens also feel happy because they are free to invest in crypto as a commodity asset.

Also, the amount of Bitcoin that El Salvador has bought is not a huge percentage of the country's GDP anyway.

I mean, MicroStrategy, a single company from the US has more Bitcoin than El Salvador...

There are many different experiences when someone enters into gambling in the end, one of them is like what you said, at first they just try, are introduced by friends and many more. from that experience there will be different impacts too, some of them stop immediately at that time, some become addicted and others. The danger is those who become addicted, it will make them go too deep and they don't even know how to get out.
However, this often happens in the scope of gambling and when it all happens then it will come back to themselves.

Just like every other addictive thing, you should either keep it in moderation, or basically not use it.

It's the same with alcohol, in both gambling and alcohol ads they usually repeat the same message, "Gamble Responsibly", or "Drink Responsibly", that's basically what people should apply to their vices.

If they continue with their addictive path without stopping, that might end up in a very bad situation.

And it's a wrap.

Spain made a really great goal, and the goalkeeper of England saved the penalty in a great way.

Also, England hit the post at one time, so they were also a bit close to make history, but now it's all gone.

You can see how the English girls are so disappointed, as they were very close to not lose.

But that's football.

Spain is the women's world cup winner.

Even is the Men's football it is not easy to decide on whom to bet. I think the upsets happen more regularly in the Men football as compared to women's football. So whether you are betting on Men's football or Women's football, the risk of losing money always exists.

Also, those who were betting on Australia, forget that it was the first time Australia played in the semi-finals, and Sweden was more favorite team but we thought that at home ground Australia might have an advantage but not to be. Placing a bet on Australia was more like placing a bet on an underdog team.

Yeah, in my view Australia simply got lucky against France, they won on penalties, remember.

After that they basically lost 2 games in a row. And before, they barely managed to qualify for the next round.

I think people got too excited about the win against France, and assumed the players were better than what they really are.

Even if it's a win from someone else, it can make a gambler return to playing, even after losing, because he also wants to win like those other people. The voices and lights he heard made him forget to stop and recalculate his money because he should have experienced a decrease in his balance with the losses he had obtained. And he will still gamble, especially if he is drinking alcohol, because that can also make him forget to control himself and stop on time. And maybe that was the initial experience of someone playing gambling at an offline casino and clearly different from the experience of people playing gambling at an online casino.

Yes, the entire casino atmosphere is not an accident, and also why casinos all around the world look the same basically.

They are all designed with the same ideas, basically to keep the gamblers there playing as much as possible.

With comfortable seats, table(seat) service with free snacks and drinks, no windows, no clocks, no idea of time passing by, usually open 24 hours, etc. And all the lights and sounds designed to attract and keep the people engaged.

Getting your point, anything is possible when we are dealing with money, like what you mentioned people change when there's huge money involved, in terms of teams who will develop and AI that may beat the casino, internal exploit is possible as they know what they are trying to break, though they will not expose themselves and let someone to use it, but again, it's money and people can be greed to exploit themselves and being caught then things will be burn everything and those people behind will be punished.

Even if something like that would happen, then the AI systems of the casinos would integrate that singular experience into their model, and it won't happen again.

So, in the unlikely scenario that someone manages to get an AI system to get way more realistic odds than what the casino has, and manages to get a win, that will get patched soon basically.

It's how casinos have evolved over time, that's why they added the 00 in the roulette, they wanted to increase their chances to win.

99% of all hacks are not really crypto but Exchanges, Wallets.
One coin sticks out though and that is ETH. Not positive though. In 2016 it led to a split.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethereum_Classic

Rekt News usually lists a lot of hacks, and some of them are based on the smart contracts of those alt chains.

Other times there is some social engineering going on.

But at the end of the day, Bitcoin is by far the most secure network to store value on the planet.

I didn't know of the football situation in Germany, I imagined that they had some young promises to compete in the next world cups, but I believe it will be difficult for us to see a Germany like 2014 world cup.

Regarding Brazil, unfortunately they don't have a new star to replace Neymar, they have good players and that's true (Raphinha, Vini Jr, Casemiro, Richarlison and others).
The Brazilian national league (Brasileirão/Copa do Brasil), it is weak compared to European teams, but there are good teams that always stand out in Libertadores and Sul Americana, Sao Paulo, Palmeiras, Flamengo, Corinthians, which are some examples.

Yeah, but that's the thing, any good player from Brazil will end up playing at the European competitions, and not playing in their local teams.

Maybe when they are really just starting, but scouts are all the time having a look and if they find a good player, they will grab them and ship to Europe as soon as they can.

Also, the earlier they sign them, they can get away with paying them less money.

There's something I've observed about the Swedish women. They excel well at spot kicks and corners because of their heights and are also quite skillful in counter attacks. Another thing about them is if they score first, and can't produce another goal, they'd then tighten their defenses.
At present, they are pressing the Mathildas of Australia and have more of the ball possession; 58% and have 10 total goal attempts as of now. I expect more goals from them and as it is, they are winning the game and I doubt Australia can be able to equalize in this game.

The second goal from Sweden was actually a pretty good one. They are clearly the better team.

Australia seems to have missed many passes and shoots to goal, plus also of course causing the penalty for no obvious reasons.

The best moves in the games were from Sweden, and the 2 - 0 win seems to reflect that.

While I don’t think that Trump will go to jail, I’ll admit I am fascinated by the possibility that a candidate for President could run and possibly be elected while serving time in jail. That would be a historic event and a sign of the times I guess. I think more then ever people want to see a President clean house and attempt to fight against the corrupt alphabet boys.

There has been a long list of American federal politicians that have been convicted of crimes. Here's the wikipedia page for that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_federal_politicians_convicted_of_crimes

It's quite a lot of people, specially when you think that these people should in theory have the best character, and there is an expectation of having a better moral ground than the average person.

From the moment children are born in Brazil, soccer becomes an important part of their lives. All the footballers in Brazil so far have come from very poor families. A child born into a poor family in Brazil has the goal of becoming a footballer and ending his poverty. I saw a video of children in Brazil playing soccer with bare feet, and they used a bunch of paper to tie it into a ball with a string and use it as a soccer ball. I would not have realized how much interest in football children can play football like this if I had not seen videos of children playing football in Brazil. They love football and they consider football a part of their lives, that's why every year so many talented footballers from their country perform brilliantly for various clubs in Europe.

Yes, you can see that in pretty much all the 3rd world, developing countries, etc.

Many of the best players in the world, specially from Brazil, were born and grew up in incredibly poor areas. Rivaldo for example was growing up in Brazil with malnutrition and vitamin D deficiency, etc.

Here's an article about this: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/59696614

Sound and light do play an important part in a casino. The more bright light and the winning sound gives a confidence jolt to the gambler and it encourages to place more bets. These are tricks that have been used for sometimes now. When you lose it is very different it as they keep the sound and graphics bear minimum. That basically means it's okay continue with your next bet. Have you noticed almost all online casinos have dark back and bright color graphics with an easy to understand layout. All are part of enhancing user experience and encouraging longer stay.

Yes, exactly. And then you also add some free snacks, and some free drinks to keep the people gambling there as long as possible.

In reality they could have probably paid for a Michelin Starred restaurant with all the money they are pouring into the machines.

If ever that there's someone who can save some money out from gambling, we can call them experienced gambler who realizes
the risk from this business.

Just the same with your statement, if you are the owner or bookie, that's gives you
huge edge to earn a lot from the business. Flowing money from the gambler is possible
and if you are wise, you will really make more money from your business.

Yes, only the people providing the gambling services are the ones actually earning money constantly.

It's no secret that the casino has an edge in every bet, and that they make an enormous amount of money.

Trying to win money by gambling is not realistic, it's just entertainment.

Sweden and Australia are already playing against each other for third place, so far 10 minutes have passed but neither team has been able to score. Australia placed more emphasis on defending itself against attack. In today's match, Australia has arranged the players in 4-4-2 format, on the contrary, Sweden has played defensively and has done some offensive field setup because Sweden's field setup against Australia is 4-2-3-1. So far Sweden is ahead of Australia in terms of attacking accurate ball pass, pass accuracy and Sweden has already managed to score against a short Australia.
A single early goal can turn any team's momentum around. Whichever team scores first, after scoring a goal they must try to defend their own goal post.

There was a clear foul that generated a penalty for Sweden. Number 18 from Sweden, Rolfö, kicked a really great penalty to the side of the net. Australian goalie guessed right, but the shoot was too fast for her to stop it.

First half had some action at both sides, nothing crazy so far, but the penalty is probably the highlight so far, and the only goal as well.

With the new Georgia indictment, it's looking like it will be an electoral disaster for Trump. Brian Kemp, Georgia Governor, is at a odds with Trump and Kemp won his reelection in 2022 by solid margins, and he beat a Trump backed Republican who tried to primary Kemp.

Having read the indictment, I'm doubtful there exist evidence that would convict Trump of the charges beyond any reasonable doubt (the standard for American criminal trials). Of course that doesn't matter. It's meant to interfere with the election, the radical Fulton county DA has made sure of this. The charges would be more appropriate on the federal level anyways.

Say Trump gets convicted in Georgia state court, he wouldn't even be able to pardon himself on the federal level for state charges if he were to win. The Georgia governor wouldn't be able to pardon him either. A panel in Georgia would have to decide that.

The US allows for a president to be elected from jail.

And that might be exactly what we might see in this coming election.

Reality is getting stranger by the year.

Also, the US is such a divided country at the moment, it could go either way.

in the case of sports betting, that person who works at the casino and even if he were the employee responsible for coding would not be able to predict correctly the result of the games of some sport, even if someone created the most incredible AI in the world, even so this AI would be committing errors in game predictions, that's because in sport there are many factors that even being very well analyzed they defy all that analysis. for example, a few days ago there was a game in the Portuguese league, who was playing was benfica against boavista. the odd for Benfica to win the game was 1.22 and when looking at the squads of both teams it was clear the difference

Benfica has a much better squad than Boavista's squad, Benfica didn't have injured players and Boavista too, looking at the value of the odds, looking at the squads of the two teams, looking at the performance of the last games of the two teams, people could say: benfica will win this game without many problems, and these people could even bet a lot of money on benfica to win the game, because they are seeing a big advantage for benfica. but it turns out that in this game benfica lost the game. they conceded 3 goals and didn't lose due to bad luck, they lost because they were weaker than the opponent

and see that the funniest thing about this game is that benfica is winning by 2 - 0, anyone would say that benfica already won, but boavista drew and then scored the winning goal. this shows that even AI will not be able to predict the results of the games when it comes to sports betting

Well, of course. Sports results are a random event, otherwise you wouldn't be able to bet in them

The key thing is to have a system that gives you as close as reality as possible how probable certain team is going to win. If you have a better model than the casinos, then you might be able to get some kind of edge against the casinos.

But of course, this might not always apply because casinos have huge resources and they usually have better quality data, they even have people looking at the games(even 3rd division matches) in real time, annotating what's happening.

Winning for the first time is just a trigger that causes someone to increase the bet amount even bigger. But not a few people who are addicted to gambling are caused by continuing to chase victory like they got for the first time.

it is absolutely true that environment is the main factor a person is still involved in gambling. The scope can make someone who has never gambled even though they can be influenced to become an acute gambler due to environmental factors.
So this is where we need to sort out and choose an environment that is good for us, if indeed we do not have a strong determination that causes us to be easily influenced by the outside environment.

Yes, casinos know this, and they design their machines to give you a lot of small wins with lots of sounds and lights, even if you just won a few cents.

Then the moment you lose, all the systems go down and it's quiet, completely the reverse.

Got money on Australia, no way can you bet against the home team here.  Hoping it's a low scoring game which it should be based on earlier games from both of them.  Would like to see Australia ride out on a high note.  They were actually one of my favorite teams to watch this entire tourny

I'm not too sure, most Australian players were visibly done when their defense wasn't able to play properly and destroyed all their hopes after the 2-1. The 3-1 was clearly devastating.

I think they already lost all their "oomph" to play this game, my guess is that Sweden will win comfortably this match.

I saw some people say Football is the sport for poor people and poor nations because this sport needs just one ball, but in this new generation, the rich countries with better situations will invest money there and this investment is the reason for other countries Venezuela to have bad performance and usually fail in the race with other teams.

Not even one ball.

Kids everywhere in the world would just start kicking anything to play football, it's typical to see in the favelas in Brazil barefoot kids just kicking whatever object was around them for a quick game.

It does not matter how someone may try to twist the math to try to make this possible, it is not going to work.

The OP will need to win every single bet they make and even just to breakeven they will need to win 20 times in a row, so when you think about this it does not make any sense to even try as there is no way anyone can achieve those results with such a limited amount of capital, however despite our warnings I am sure there are many people that will try to do this and lose everything as a result of their greed.

Yes, I agree.

At the end of the day most gamblers gamble emotionally, and not rationally. Because if they actually did the math they would realize it is almost impossible to win, yet they still "feel" like they can get lucky and be the person that ends up winning big against all the odds.
