1341  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: December 09, 2023, 12:28:40 PM
I don't know if I should call it a glitch or something else because the way the price is just avoid $45k in the past 3 days after hitting $44k is just confusing. I still believe this December is more productive than the previous months from what we're seeing.
If care is not taken this new week is going to have a little bit of delay before going forward to surpass $44k and then we would be smiling to see $45-48k. We could be seeing a faster market movement to get to $50k by the end of this month, before that lets wait for Bitcoin price to get to $45k and if it stays in that amount for some hours or days, I believe it will hit $46k and above.

It's the repeat of same situation when Bitcoin was struggling to reach $40k and was fluctuating between $35k and $38k, I feel Bitcoin should eventually cross $45k once again by the end of next week because we have seen on more than one occasions Bitcoin starts to drop towards the end of December. If Bitcoin crosses $45k and heads towards or even breaches $50k then it will pool in more demand and thus avoid any possible correction at this moment. It's either above $45k by the end of next year or a possible market correct awaits us before halving.
1342  Economy / Economics / Re: GDP is not really growth index or representation of economy on: December 09, 2023, 12:00:11 PM
You are just conflicting facts, maybe you should go back to your studies of the economy and draw the right facts once again as aggression or personal belief will solve nothing. The GDP is a major part of the economy and it entails a whole lot things to butress this fact. All the outputs of the masses and government in the country, the purchases of goods and services and many more contribute to the GDP of a nation. I wonder why such won't contribute to the growth of the economy in your own dictionary. What I believe you are trying to establish is that the country might be moving forward in the economy, in which GDP contributes, yet the masses are suffering, inflation going towards the roof. But these are separate economic reviews where some policies need to be adjusted for the betterment of the masses.

In cases like this, it's possible that the government is getting richer and a few private individuals too, but the wealth doesn't fairly circulate among the masses. This kind of situation is happening in Nigeria now, yet the economy is positive economic-wise, but the masses are suffering and more people are being dropped into the level of poverty. However, the source has to be tackled through viable policies by the government which is a different ballgame and the situation will never stop the fact that GDP is part of a country's economy. One of the best approaches here is social intervention coupled with a positive trade balance where the nation is not import reliance but otherwise.

There is no conflicting of facts here, in simple words we cannot really consider it an country is prosperous just by looking at the GDP when the majority of resources and exports are catered by the wealthy elites who runs the government. Country might move forward and in terms of only numbers wherein still majority of it's citizens suffers. As you have given a good example of Nigeria just think where are we heading ? Everything is not number game and we cannot assume people are happy just because economy is good. This have to be redefined based on human happiness index. Try researching about Bhutan's GNH index and how they consider GNH over GDP.
1343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling All Fiat In Bank For BTC? on: December 09, 2023, 10:58:06 AM
People just say this to boast their support for Bitcoin and thus deceiving others. No-one would really do that unless they live in a country where Bitcoin is accepted as a payment for everything right form food, grocery, EMIs and all the other necessity where Fiat is accepted. When people say they will sell their house and convert it into bitcoin where will they stay if they sell off? unless they own more than one property and selling one out of it to invest into Bitcoin. At the moment we can hodl Bitcoin as an asset just like house or piece of land but Fiat is necessary for survival.
1344  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia: Supreme Court Bans “LGBT Movement” as “Extremist” on: December 08, 2023, 08:53:40 PM
It's something which is supported by majority of Russians and I would say it's their personal choice but they shouldn't be encouraged.

Usually we see in the news and articles that LGBT community is been abused and threatened but to be honest they are doing the same thing they are forcing their ideology down our throat. They are everywhere they brainwash our kids in their school by teaching about them and in the company where I work I receive dozens of event related to PRIDE every week I had to put them in spam list and discussions about their rights happens at corporate level where they are utmost safe but still their ideology is drilled down our brain. I think it has to be stopped, let them do whatever they want which is unnatural but they should not forcefully put their ideology in our mind and should never insist us to support in their cause.
1345  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela vs Guyana. A new problem in the oil market ? on: December 08, 2023, 08:34:27 PM
This will just make this world a more messier place to live as the world economy is already bleeding and we are at the verge of recession and this  conflict will only bring more hardship and chaos not only to the Guyanese & Venezuelan but it will have rippling effect to the entire region.

Why suddenly the urge to captured these territories? This is like a common rule for dictators whenever they are at risk of being toppled or lose popularity. I just wish this is sorted in a dignified manner instead of pushing hundreds and thousands  to the brink of poverty and creating external refugees and IDP by resorting to violence's.

Maduro should focus on brining in reforms and improve the quality of live for Venezuelans as they are facing so much of hardship. But, he is instead playing these danger games and guess what Iran & Russia will be supporting Venezuela in this conquest.
1346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Applying signatures and avatars on: December 08, 2023, 07:01:53 PM
This is so basic yet most important topic for new comers because usually no one goes through all the linkes or must read articles published and rather reads the posts and topics published by fellow users and this would definitely help new comers and also it would help them even further if we can guide them on how to not breach the forum rules and how to have organic growth.

I appreciate these sort of topic which will help users as when we were new it was difficult but glad that the person who introduced this to me gave me enough download.

Well-done.
1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 08, 2023, 06:01:01 PM
From past few weeks whenever I open any browser or social media all I could see is some random blogs and news about Altcoins which will have massive pump and which coins I have to invest.

Folks, it's times to be more cautious than every and never go with any random prediction provided over telegram or through blogs as it's a routine that once the crypto market is trending upwards and bullrun is expected we see a lot of experts in the market via various channels like Youtube, Twitter, Telegram, Discord and WhatsApp group sharing random coins with catchy headlines like "Top 5 altcoins with 100x pump", "Whales are investing in these altcoins", "Altcoins which will go to moon", etc.

Please try to understand these are the same people who spreads fud during bear market and impersonates as experts.

Don't go with any such predictions and rather do your own research because I have seen people randomly investing into shitcoins just because it's mentioned over Twitter and the person who has tweeted has huge followers. There will be so much of deceiving as they will share some 10 coins and even if one of them prospers they will use it as upselling point.
Truth!
They will always be there at both bear and bull times but we have to be more cautious at these moments of time. Do remember, there are those who are trying to pump a coin that had been in their safekeeping for years and they want to ROI using the bull run now. I won't bite on that trap because I already did before and I learned my lesson.
There are also projects that will try to revive their coin but the truth is they are already dead, they are just trying to make money out of nothing or they still have a large volume of that coin. Although they are listed on some unknown exchange, they are still dust and they will take advantage of this opportunity to sell it if they can somehow increase the demand even with just a cent of a dollar.

Let us all be careful and I agree with OP that investors should understand that this ain't really new but all must be warned just so we won't forget. Let us try to minimize the victims of such phenomena.

Yup, though this happens every time it's our duty to educate the crowd in advance as we there has been sudden surge in these activities as we are on upward trend and as you said it would only get worst in upcoming days. Just a suggestion that everyone should do their bit and spread word of awareness if any of our friends or family members or colleague discusses about such channels or influencers or predictions.

There are people who are doing this just for view for their reels or YouTube channels, also there are those who wants to trap us in buying their premium membership program and then there are people who are worse than previous two categories and they are the ones you have mentioned who accumulate shitcoins and holds a huge amount of it, trying to manipulate users to buy it so that it would trigger pump and then they will dump their holdings and buyers will have millions of worthless tokens in their wallet.
1348  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 08, 2023, 05:00:31 PM
I think it scares me a little bit when we think of retirement because we are so occupied and committed to our current job that we rarely take time out to go on holidays or what we really want to do, we are like a bounded labors who just sleep, travel to work, work and then repeat. If we think we are going to retire or think of retirement we feel somewhere we forgot to live our life and rather surviving all these years. If I had to plan retirement I would retire in some remote hilly village and take up farming as an hobby to pass the time.
1349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's role in financial development on: December 08, 2023, 03:20:35 PM
Glad that you are aware of Bitcoin and how it can benefit you because I have seen people especially most of them born in 60s and 70s working their entire life with a very little salary and we are lucky to be aware of Bitcoin and it's potential wherein there are millions who have no idea about about it and working even more harder than us but unable to meet financial needs.

Try to utilize it the most to improve your standard of living, take my suggestion it has worked for me, please start accumulating Bitcoin throughout the year except during bull run and in few year you will see you funds getting multiplied.

Few important things are you need a job which gives you freedom to invest into Bitcoin hence give your best to get a better paying jobs to meet your end needs and invest even if it's as little as $10 a week.

There are lot who don't have own house and there are people who sleep on street hence don't let any negativity impact your goal.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: best way to start on: December 08, 2023, 08:13:15 AM
I will get to the points and what are the takeaways you have from this forum and what can you achieve in a brief way.

I am sure you would be aware that Bitcoin was created as P2P transfer without involvement of government or financial regulators but later Bitcoin has been reduced as just an investment medium for majority of users wherein if you invest into Bitcoin you may receive better return on your investments compared to other traditional investments but has more risks than traditional method and less compared to other cryptos.

Now you will find all the crypto related discussion happening here in different sections, you may try exploring the topics and what the experienced users has to say about it to get more knowledge.

Also, while you learn you have opportunities to join bounty campaigns (most of which are turning as scam offlate) to try your luck and earn some money by completing the tasks

Once you are more active and your rank is increased then it will open door for better options like joining signature campaign wherein you can earn by being a part of it. It would be like you will be learning and sring information in the forum. You can get your doubts clarified here and you will find all the crypto related news here

This is an brief intro what you can do here
1351  Economy / Economics / GDP is not really growth index or representation of economy on: December 08, 2023, 05:07:20 AM
Do we really consider economy by GDP ? My answer would be no, If you look at world's largest economies their foods are slow poison and every single thing is expensive compared to some under developed nations. I had chance to see some Central Asian landlocked nations and was really surprised to that they organic foods and there are no adulteration unlike our chemically processed food which we consume and the best part is that they have their own house's and a backyard garden where they grow their own fruits and vegetable for consumption wherein on the other hand our living space has been squeezing as we develop further but guess what our GDP is increasing, But all the profit goes to the big capitalists who are on top of everything.

GDP doesn't represent the citizens growth of that particular nation when the average working class people are paying exorbitant price for rent and food wherein there are countries where people are living peaceful countryside life paying less than 1/10th of what we pay for food.

There are pros and cons of these nations which I am referring to but I thought of highlighting the basic necessities and how it's been robbed from us in the developed nations in the name of growth and higher GDP has nothing to do with growth or happiness of people which is often misunderstood. Because there is no economy which has nothing to do with people of that nation.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price before Christmas on: December 08, 2023, 02:31:32 AM
ETH is definitely good for long term investment has potential to reach new ATH, but an prediction for Christmas is something which is really difficult to predict. I would say as long as Bitcoin is trending high there wouldn't be any issues and if Bitcoin dips then there are chances of breaking the ETH's momentum as only some really bad news about ETH like some controversies or Bitcoin dump can pull the ETH down nothing else as of now.

I have invested into ETH when it was in single digit and have good profit and never been a loss in ETH because it hodled during bearish market.
1353  Economy / Speculation / Re: So I guess we sell at $48626 ? on: December 07, 2023, 08:07:43 PM
Now that Bitcoin broke 41K$ and shot with a big candle above it, it is easy to reach 48K$, I think, profit taking will be good for speculators who bought at lower levels.

48K$ is a good number for making profits, but it is not my goal at the moment. I am mostly waiting for it to exceed 70Kِ$ within the next year in order to sell.

We will certainly see a lot of selling pressure at the 48K$ price area for speculators and some investors, but the majority of Holders are waiting for the next peak after the halving to sell their Bitcoin.

Yes majority of investors are hodling as Bitcoin is roughly 36% away from the previous ATH and there are more possibilities of breaching $69k and surpassing it with a little chance of correction phase kicking in. I myself not convinced to take profit at this moment or at $48k since Bitcoin is heading towards the ATH it would be worth waiting but at the same time we shouldn't incur huge loses in case if there is a dump as we have to be prepared for both the situations. I have renewed my risk margin (stop loss) at $36k which is 20% less than current valuie.
1354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 07, 2023, 07:25:45 PM
Rightly said! Also with the recent advancements of AI and deep fake videos, it has become very easy for the scammers to spread false information in the market. I am seeing couple of videos where Elon Musk and Warren Buffet is promoting a cryptocurrency. That video is obviously fake and made using deep fake technology. But for an average person who are not aware of AI, can get confused and convinced easily.

Personally I would not suggest anyone to investing meme coins. It is more like a gambling rather than investment. So if someone is prepared to lose their investment, they can go ahead and invest in such coins. Otherwise it is always better to stick to Bitcoin and ETH.

Yes deepfake and other AI tools has been utilized for purpose of scamming and someone who is not much into technology or upto date with AI will be fooled. It's more about there cheap so called influencers who are paid by certain project to hype their project and there will be heard of sheeps following them.

Instead of experimenting with memecoins or NFTs it's better to stick to Bitcoin and ETH as the success ratio of meme/NFT are very less but once one out of 1000 projects rallies then it becomes talk of the town and there will be dozen more coins launched with similar name.

It's better not to heed to any such marketing tactics or ignore the prediction during bullish season all together and just go with market trend.

1355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's fee to our beloved miners on: December 07, 2023, 05:28:00 PM
Not to disrespect you but this post is biased towards miners and it's an extortion as these transaction fees are way too much and I would say this is a loophole which is being exploited by miners. When I say miners I am not referring to individual miners as this surge is created by those with huge mining farms. Miners fee is considered as an appreciation for the cost they incur largely due to electricity bills but it has been turned into a dynamic pricing practice which shouldn't happen.

Bitcoin was created for P2P transaction without defining large or small transaction as decentralization is the essence of it and I don't understand how some of us justify these charges stating we shouldn't use Bitcoin for micro transactions as it makes no sense.
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with the exponential appreciation of Bitcoin? (for the oldest on on: December 07, 2023, 04:34:41 PM
It differs from person to person and I feel like it would be top of the market we are buying If I want to buy now but I felt I am buying at the rock bottom price when I was buying BTC under $20k this year, though the reality is that Bitcoin may even cross $100k and I might be a loser for thinking I will be buying at peak If I buy at $44k if BTC pumps hard now. It's the emotions which takes better control of ourselves and that's where experienced investors wins as they know what they are doing and makes the most out of it.

Buying when BTC is down and lot of fuds about it is the best time to buy BTC if you are not in for long term.
1357  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did you think will happen to Bitcoin before January? on: December 07, 2023, 02:30:07 PM
I think Bitcoin will still rise in January, and start to fall in February to March, and when the halving starts, because everyone will dump first and buy at the bottom again.
but my predictions could be wrong.who knows Grin

I know where you are coming from as we have not seen any signs of dip or massive sell off yet which was speculated and it's little bit difficult to predict this time because initially even I though Bitcoin will dump in second half of December but at the moment things looks more positive and we are expecting Bitcoin to cross $50k mark this month. I feel next two weeks will decide whether Bitcoin will retract back or prosper further in the month of January. Even though it looks like Bitcoin will continue to pump but the experience we had in the past years unfolds a different story.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 07, 2023, 01:05:56 PM

1359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone be a Bitcoin speculation expert? on: December 07, 2023, 11:18:06 AM
We will see more Bitcoin and crypto experts popping out during the bull run as we have seen previously. I don't think anyone can accurately predict the market or Bitcoin price and usually they will just keep making dozens of pump and dump predictions and it's obvious that market will either pump or dump before getting stabilized and they will be ready to take the credit and coast about it when this happens stating that their prediction was correct.

We cannot be dependent on some random prediction unless it has combinations of multiple technical indicators and have a history of accuracy, though it won't be 100% but still better than random predictions and signals shared through telegram channels and paid groups.
1360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 06, 2023, 08:44:44 PM
Anyone who is looking for profit or haven't invested into Bitcoin when it was trailing between $15k to $20k will be feeling the FOMO as it's a natural phenomenon. This is the time when some of them gets onboarded at wrong time if they are a short term investor because once the price has reached such level there are always possibilities of correction but also there are chances of going further and achieving new ATH.

Let's say a person wants to invest into Bitcoin when it was trending at $30k earlier this year and then it dropped below $20k hence the person didn't invest in the fear of losing it further but now when it has reached ATH of 2023 this person will be in FOMO since it has increase by 2x from the time he decided not to invest and sometimes end up investing when Bitcoin is at peak which can backfire when it drops.

I Personally don't feel FOMO this time since I have started accumulating BTC throughout the year as that's the best way to stay safe atleast you will be above breakeven in most of the situations.
