Vidilicet is visionary - although his ultimate play isn't really exposed in this project, its more to test the waters
What this project lacks is exposure (to answer the Q for any investors that are seeking profit in the short term) but simply put it could line up well in the long run
Ethereum? 4 months ago it was under $1 USD
Now getting betted upon by significant forces - it's actual price should be around $25USD all up but we won't talk about that now
The only way for projects like this to survive is to collaborate and share the best of each others tech - regardless of who came up with what or how who came up with what got created
Currently - there's a fight going on for what chain is predominant, this can be decided only 3 ways
1. 'lightening' master chain 2. precocious side chains 3. sub-chain elements that are 'smart'

Same old crap. Fudge the forecast figures.
Most here too dull to see past their free shares.
Look, if you want to make yourself sound credible, you can't just dismiss the entire project. It reeks too much of fanboy bias. I don't know what you are a fanboy of, but I'm about 99% confident it is a competing project. To be credible, you have to acknowledge both strengths and weaknesses and then demonstrate how the weaknesses outweigh the strengths or that the weaknesses result in a fundamental flaw that undermines the viability of the project. You've done absolutely none of that. Yes, you've focused on negatives, but as it stands you have amplified them to the point of distortion. That's just bad rhetoric and basically invalidates any substance that may exist in anything you write. In other words, you've hung yourself while shooting yourself in the foot. Try harder. Shut up tx4241

Phase 2 Testnet Released! The new builds are version 1.1.1.0 and available at https://github.com/multicurrency/Breakout-ReleasesIf you participated in the previous testnet you may want to retain your wallet. If you didn't participate in the previous testnet, don't care about what it is I am describing, or have no idea what I am talking about skip the next set of instructions. You can use your wallet from the previous tetnet but you MUST do the following: 1. Back up your previous testnet wallet somewhere safe. 2. Go to your breakout application data folder. A. Windows is C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Breakout B. OS X is /Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Breakout C. Linux is .breakout3. Create a plain text file called breakout.conf and put a single line that reads: salvagewallet=14. Completely delete the contents of the testnet folder therein except for wallet.dat5. Start the new client. 6. Delete the line that says salvagewallet=1If you don't want to do all that and participated in the previous testnet, simply delete the Breakout application data directory in its entirety. Once you get going, please send me an address for the new testnet coins. This is critical because it influences which lottery you will be eligible for. Critical: If you participated in the previous testnet and sent me a public key, make sure you have the private key for it! Testing... so far so good ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

on the advice of a fellow more wizened coder, i am studying OP_RETURN and trying to figure out how each BN can use it to
1) Register itself on the chain 2) Sign Blocks
This will take some time and some doing but seems far more cryptographically accurate that just a look up of previous blocks.
The final decision will be made based on
1) Complexity 2) Security 3) Computational cost
For now i'll tentatively say that we are likely to institute the changes in two weeks. For now there is an update incoming (next few hours ) that should finally settle bid payouts.
Because p2pool is not respecting payout blocks , i am working on a new rule that will ensure that they are respected by the network
Latest Win 64 build https://mega.nz/#!rp9DULoK!nBLgm1zNCdjaDhcAsJ-4bMfSDuy-keZMhQIAJ6BddKsBitcreditscc, please update OP ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Thanks, but wish you had waited a bit, got some code i am pushing to master in the hour that finishes the move to version 0.30.17. 3. Beta wallet is clean and is easy to use, just like they promised.
What's special about it? Online wallets are usually clean and easy to use. In the meantime, sites like vekja.net and www.mybitcoin.com have been experimenting with account-based sites. You create an account on a website and hold your bitcoins on account there and transfer in and out. Creating an account on a website is a lot easier than installing and learning to use software, and a more familiar way of doing it for most people. 4. Growth accounts look interesting as well.
Problem with growth accounts is that they are centralized as well (single point of failure). I wouldn't use them for hoarding large amounts (i.e. amounts which are considered as "investment"). The only disadvantage is that you have to trust the site, but that's fine for pocket change amounts for micropayments and misc expenses. It's an easy way to get started and if you get larger amounts then you can upgrade to the actual bitcoin software.
5. Neucoin is one of the most transparent crypto currencies. The information they provide about the coin and it’s future is very detail. Actually I don’t know any other coin with such detail info.
Yes yes ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.makeameme.org%2Fcreated%2Ftransparency.jpg&t=663&c=8MTl8qbojqdpJg) 2. If you don’t like how they structured distribution or their plan, invest in something else.
You seem to know more than the public does ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) because we still don't know how they structured distribution of BTC from public presale as well as distribution of $$$ from strategic angel investors prior to public resale. Recently they have once again silently reduced their $$$ funding commitment for foundations... You sound so ignorant
