1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: October 29, 2019, 07:35:15 PM
My favorite spanish team playing tonight against Valladolid so I've got make a bet no matter what. It became like a tradition to bet on Barca Grin

Barca is currently standing on the third place in La Liga with only 3 points away from the leader Atletico Madrid. Today should be an easy match and I'm sure Messi & co will do their job and win with at least 2-3 goals marked. So as you can guess I'm going for a parlay today with 1 and over 2,5 goals on the analysed match. The risk:reward ratio on this match is good enough for me so I'm feeling comfortable placing it for some beer money and of course some well deserved fun watching the game.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Support Or Have You Supported A Coin That Makes A Comeback on: October 29, 2019, 07:04:34 PM
The coin that I have always believed in is STRAT(Stratis) even if they have got hit very hard by the bear market they have managed to continue developing their products full steam ahead. They now have a suite of production-ready blockchain products focused on enterprises, but they are also easy to use for the day-to-day user. As a matter of fact they are now hosting a hackathon to boost the development of application on top of the Stratis platform. I believe that's the only thing Stratis needs to finally enter an uptrend namely USE CASES!
1343  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Get paid 0.0015 BTC to review SwapMixer.com anonymous BTC to LTC swaps on: October 29, 2019, 06:37:17 PM
If you still need reviewers I would be happy to participate and write out a review of your service. Anonymity is a very trendy word these days especially but more tech savvy persons. The average joe does not even care about his personal data, but I'm sure a pretty big part of the crypto users are looking for ways to erase the footprints of their spending behaviour even further.

1344  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-26] John McAfee Doubles His Bitcoin Price Prediction on: October 29, 2019, 06:17:36 PM
Somehow I support McAfee's prediction and want it to happen. Plus if you actually run the mathematics as he says you can come up with very big numbers. I try to spread this statistic in the forum as much as possible: there are over 36 million millionaires in the world and the Bitcoin supply is limited at $21 millions. If each millionaire wants to buy 1 BTC then through the law of supply and demand the price should be standing at least at $1M.

Only from the above statistic alone I am personally very bullish on BTC long term and I think 6 digits is a no-brainer for the next year taking into account that the halvening is in May and there will be extra pressure from the miners on the price.
1345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto, here's an idea for you (if you are still out there): on: October 29, 2019, 06:12:16 PM
I think the OP idea is to be viewed more like an inspiration for the community to contribute to the adoption of Bitcoin. If every man on this world would have been announced that they have received soemthing for free, they would definitely at least check it out and see what it is about. This way I'm sure at least a part of them would find Bitcoin and the blockchain technology revolutionary and try to accumulate as much as possible.

1347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do expert traders hide their loses? on: October 29, 2019, 05:16:36 PM
First of all you need to acknowledge that every trader has losses from time to time depending on what kind of traders they are. If they are scalpers then they should have a lot of losses on daily basis. All those so-called online expert traders are most often than not frauds just posing as traders to attract you to put money in a broker and follow their signals while they get paid from subscriptions or from brokers' affiliate programs.

If you are in any paid signals group I want you to think at the following thing: why would a profitable trader spend his time and charge people money to provide them signals? I haven't met any professional trader that does something like this. I know some which offer trading education, but not signals.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TIPS FOR NEWBIE GAMBLERS ! on: October 29, 2019, 04:40:37 PM
Those are very useful tips - I just hope that the newbies and even the more experienced users will take the time to read them. Regarding how much you play with I think you should first analyse the bookmaker. So if it is a big popular casino probably it won't deny your winnings if you're playing with 1 BTC or so, but if you are dealing with smaller casinos aka bucket shops which offer a lot of bonuses, facilities, etc. then be very careful and test the waters before putting more. As the OP says don't play for money, but play for fun.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 29, 2019, 03:44:27 PM
But then there are also people who get really excited when they win, give some away and then loses rest of the winnings trying to win more Roll Eyes.

That's true, most gamblers think that they can win more if they won so much until now. That's what we call GREED, but a disciplined gambler who has a monthly bankroll set for gambling can play how much he wants because after all it is for his entertainment not to make money..

Even if they lose their stake after donating, they will still feel good because they've donated that money instead of losing it Wink
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Libra, Why Not Bitcoin/Bitpay? Or is it a problem with scaling? POLL. on: October 29, 2019, 03:25:13 PM
Bitcoin is a flexible blockchain, we can change block size through a democratic vote(consensus). However there is no need for that at the moment as transactions can be made instantly through the lightning network. Businesses just need to inform thermselves a bit and adopt Bitcoin as a payment method. There are many online businesses that accept Bitcoin through payment processors, but we should aspire that coffee shops accept Bitcoin payments directly and not sell them immediately for cash. For that to happen we need to increase the BTC economy. We can do that simply by increasing awareness. By promoting it, by incentivising its use, education people about the benefits of using a cryptocurrency, etc.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A rising number of Americans own crypto and nearly 13 million women says study.. on: October 29, 2019, 01:46:18 PM
That's an encouraging statistic. Of course that if regulatipns will get loosen up people will feel much better about investing into cryptocurrencies and not look at it likr as an exotic, risky investment that it is not available to them.

I'm quite surprised to see so many women holding crypto. Well.. on crypto twitter there are a lot of girls promoting branding themselves as crypto enthusiasts so maybe  that's not that big of a surprise.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current cryptocurrency ranking in China on: October 29, 2019, 11:11:16 AM
the next interesting asset is on the 2nd place, TRX (Tron)
well, I like those numbers cause I have faith in those projects too, but on the question why they are on the top of the China leaderboard I have no logic answer

The thing is that Bitcoin does not have smart contracts or sidechains built upon it. In my opinion that is the reason why it has been ranked lower than shitcoins like EOS, Tron, NEO, etc. As the name of the index implies the rankings assess the technology behind the public blockchain, not their popularity, already built use cases, ecosystem economy or positive evaluation potential. I wouldn't put much emphasis on these rankings, but it is good that we get this kind of analysis. It means the world is interested in these technologies and we might see their implementation sooner rather than later.
1353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Survey on Bitcoin ownership on: October 29, 2019, 09:43:45 AM
Only one of my relatives holds cryptocurrency and that only because I have introduced him to this revolution a few years ago. Most of the people here don't even know what Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are... I won't specify my region, but I think most people are too "busy" with their mundane lives and too lazy to even research about a worldwide shift in how we send and receive payments. The right word for this would be ignorance. However I know local communities that do have a decent number of crypto enthusiasts. So in conclusion if you ask the man on the street about cryptocurrencies he is not able to tell you a thing about them. You need to go very specific to find someone who knows, maybe luckily someone who actually owns Bitcoin.

1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between ICO's and IEO's on: October 29, 2019, 07:48:32 AM
the only difference is the middle letter. ICOs are scamming people by calling themselves initial "coin" offering and IEOs are scamming people by doing the same exact thing while calling themselves initial "exchange" offering.
the end result is exactly the same with different speeds at which they dump and exit. as IEOs are already supported by and listed on an exchange they can dump and run away faster.

I don't think we should generalise this. Of course that the vast majority of ICOs and IEOs have been proved to be scams, but there were some projects that made a good job with the raised funds. Look at Ethereum, it wouldn't be here without the initial funding. Another case is Stratis: they have raised what.. $750k? And they have built premium blockchain products from the ground up. That's what I name a successful ICO. When a project usually has a crowdfunding target of tens of millions it is a red flag for me. Usually this kind of financing is done through private investment, not crowdfunding.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: October 28, 2019, 08:45:45 PM
I want to watch a spanish game tonight and I can't seem to be able to do it if I don't place a bet. haha

So Osasuna vs Valencia is going to be a very tough match. Osasuna is only 2 points behind Valencia, but I don't think the pts and position in the rankings matter a lot at this moment of the season. Analysing the H2H matches in 4 out of 5 last matches there have been over 2.5 goals marked so that's my single bet on this match because I couldn't find another "safe" bet in my standards on this match. I get an odd over 2 for this event to happen so pretty good if you ask me Wink

Got the pick perfectly on this match. I didn't expect Osasuna to win the match though, but that is mostly due to Rodrigo getting a foolish red card in minute 29'.. That costed Valencia the match(3 points) and that's definitely not professional behaviour. As I've outlined in my prediction post it was a tough match and close match besides that red card. That's why I preferred to make a safer bet on the number of goals taking into account the statistics Wink
1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inside The Final Days Of The $3 BILLION Chinese Crypto Scam... on: October 28, 2019, 06:18:32 PM
This is exactly why you never buy made in china products. I don't want this statement to sound like a stereotype because yes there are exceptions as in everything. But this is what the bad pay work force created - low quality products and projects. Not only in China, but if you have been on the internet for long enough you will notice that most of the scammers in the space are from developing countries like Vietnam, Nigeria, China, Bangladesh, etc.

Smart investors never got into these projects because EXPERIENCE and DUE DILIGENCE. I hope that after all these humongous scams people will learn their lesson and won't pursue their lost money by joining other scams.
1358  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie Trading Question? on: October 28, 2019, 05:09:34 PM
You've got to understand that it is hard for the big accounts to fill their orders so they need to come with ways to engineer liquidity for themselves. They do it by hunting stop-losses or by creating FOMO in one direction and then go full force in the opposite direction leaving people confused and nervous about their positions.
1359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Possible To Mine Bitcoin with Supercomputer? on: October 28, 2019, 04:58:44 PM
What kind of supercomputer are we talking about here? If it is just a super powerful CPU then I doubt they could have mined a significant amount of coins. ASICs are powerful mining hardware built specifically for mining (big hash rate) so no any other super computer built for other scopes should be able to mine even a close amount of btc.

Regarding quantum computers IMO they are years or decades away of being production ready so I wouldn't worry about that.
1360  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 20,000 USD by the year end. on: October 28, 2019, 02:50:08 PM
The market sentiment is very bullish and we have just had a major bear trap with an almost 50% pump in one day. If we have bull continuation next month $20k is definitely in the cards for this year.

And if I had to give a longer term prediction we will probably reach 6 digits next year.
