I will buy it at spot if it's early enough.

my advice, just stay away completly.

I appreciate your concern for my well being, but I think I will go with my own risk assessment.

Offer still stands, I will buy it at spot if it is early enough.

Hey if anyone has ordered these "PCI-E Extension Cable 16x to 16x Slot Extender Riser Card Adapter Power Filter" off of ebay from California, they advertise same day shipping.

Please be aware, one of there cables literally just had the power filter pop, and the entire 12v yellow cable burst into flames...

Just a heads up.

1348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking preorders for USB miner soon on: June 08, 2013, 11:59:37 PM
These will be comparable to the existing ones on the market. We'd hope to get here a little sooner but didn't beat the competition to it. That being said we're still an alternative if you're unable to get your hands on there's.

300MH/s Hashrate and power consumption comparable to the competition. They will be going for 1.5 BTC each as a prepurchase price and can be ordered in groups of 10 per person. We expect to be shipping them within a month's time though that could be delayed up to two months depending on a few factors (this should not happen).

If you're interested please PM me but as I am dual representing our group here and also working I am very busy so please only serious buyers.

what is the hash rate?

This post "claims" to mine at 300 megahashes per second.  (You can find it in the second paragraph).  Now, why couldn't you do that by yourself I'm wondering?

I bid 0.02 BTC for posts that hash at 300 MH/s, can you deliver on any website? Smiley

Side question for the OP, what pool are these going to be mining on or is it more profitable to solo mine?

sorry for the spam, but this (together with the OPs reputation) looks like a nice play: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=228525

@tyrion70,
Would you consider the above if we continue at the current pace?

I am still open for 4 shares @ 0.50 by Thursday if you are... Smiley

Update, for some reason I thought that maybe moving the GPU's power to a different spot on my PSU would help....

And it has!

Gone from 750MH/s to 900MH/s+

Please post it as an .ISO file, the .img file that you posted does not work.

I have tried:
renaming it to .iso -- no good
renaming it to .flp -- no good
downloaded, installed imgtoiso.exe -- Error, cannot create vdisk

I would like to use this and report back my findings to the community.

Edit: running this on Windows Vista SP2
1358  Economy / Goods / Re: Thinking about creating my own physical Bitcoin... on: June 08, 2013, 04:25:37 PM
I'm still thinking about it.  I've been in talks about a partnership with someone else who is also interested in creating coins.  My biggest roadblock is funding, since I'd need around $6,000-$8,000 to make this a reality, and I just don't have that kind of money right now.

I have been thinking of the same thing but came to the same conclusion that it needs $5k-$7k start up funds to get the proof made and the first batch of coins. The other big issue is trust. I suggest you think about spitting the addresses and using a second party so no one person has the private keys. Ultimately, trust in the person creating the private keys will be the biggest challenge to this endeavor. One way to do this is have a tamper-proof seal on both sides of the coin. One person attaches the first half on one side, ships it to the second party and they attach the other on the back. Then no one person has access to someone else's bitcoins.

A cheaper option is custion scratch off cards with the same concept but use a tamper-proof label on the back that you add to go with the factory sealed one on the front.

Another way to add trust to mass circulated physical bitcoins is to create/link a WOT online with a private code on each coin to verify the person who is giving it to you is generally trustworthy.

Guys,
Please start a kickstarter project, I am in and I would imagine that allot of other people would be too.

Edit: Or create a btct.co project and we can invest that way as well.

Excellent guys, thank you.

Good to hear Smiley
Anyone who run it on rig, to tell us impression?

Any chance of putting up an .ISO, or is there an easy way in windows to go from .img to .iso?

Edit: I changed the file extension from .img to .iso and vmware is reporting no operating system found.

Try this
http://www.imgtoiso.com/

Downloaded, installed and am getting:

Error, cannot create vdisk.
1360  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Lawyers STEAL all Bitcoin - patent inside YIKES on: June 08, 2013, 03:24:07 PM
Perhaps we should patent the bitcoin system ourselves and lic. it under a GPL/MIT or whatever lic. or do we already have this?

@MSantori, from a legal perspective, what is your take on this?
