13401  Economy / Speculation / Re: is that bitcoin price will crash after $ 10K? on: November 28, 2017, 03:17:18 PM
Why some people telling that bitcoin price will crash after hitting $10000?.
I don't think it will happen.
How about you guys do you think the price will crash or continue to rise.?

It should continue to rise, driven by the Wall Street / ETF exposure in December.
Of course, some will try to squeeze as many downtrends as possible.
Just imho this Wall Street story is causing a small (small?) bubble, that will need a correction sooner or later (from 10k to 7-8k, from 15k to 10k, who knows?)
13402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10k BTC! (Job is going bye bye...giving notice) :) ie MY SHIP CAME IN! Take Poll on: November 28, 2017, 11:04:39 AM
though this next year with house fixing (finally) and mining yet (at least till June 1st I figure at worst) it will make a nice change from wage slave ...

Superb! I guess that there are many that did this or are so close to this, but most don't share.
Most of us dream to get there at some point. And many will do.
Thanks for sharing your story. And I love that ship Cheesy

PS. Maybe you even start to mine for charity (you'll surely find something near your residence)
13403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people actually buy coins with real life money? on: November 28, 2017, 09:17:33 AM
Now I have more means to earn Bitcoin, so I don't really buy anymore. But I've bought when it was under 1000$, although back then people were asking the same question "isn't Bitcoin too expensive to buy?".
It's always too expensive if you don't afford to put away some money for investing. If you afford to join this, keeping in mind that Bitcoin was always said to be a "high risk investment", it's not too expensive, given the promised return (some say it'll reach 1 million USD in some years).

And you don't have to buy an entire Bitcoin. 0.1BTC or even 0.01BTC is also not so bad.
13404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: hellp on: November 27, 2017, 12:11:14 PM
???Hi everyone!
I had a question -
What app(s) do you use to track cryptocurrency prices? Huh

I use https://www.worldcoinindex.com/ and, for more advance data an graphs https://bitcoinwisdom.com/
In the past I've also used https://cryptrader.com/ but sometimes (rarely) it stays broken for days so I don't use it that much anymore.
13405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments (Exchange launch - November, 1) on: November 27, 2017, 11:56:35 AM
MinexBank Rates:
Daily: 0.29%  Weekly: 5.7%  Yearly: 70%

Price of MNX: 15.46$

When I was writing here asking the bounty hunters consider parking for some more time since the project looks promising, some were telling I'm shitposting.
I pity them. While I am not a great investor nor trader, this time I've got it right.
Well done Minex! I'll keep parking, don't disappoint me Wink

PS. Bigger exchanges and increase in volumes is a good next step to think of.
13406  Other / Meta / Re: Search Within a Thread? on: November 27, 2017, 08:12:17 AM
I often do that by checking the history of my own posts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=showPosts
As long as there are not too many posts in short time, it does the job.
13407  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: November 27, 2017, 07:56:47 AM
I can't login to my account. I see that many people have the same issue.
What do I need to do?

I'm not sure it's the same, still, maybe it helps:
when I've had that problem, it didn't allow me log in on the web, but it did allow me log in from the Android app.
So if you tried from web, try now in app; if you tried only in app, try now on the web.
13408  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Unknown transaction on: November 27, 2017, 07:11:27 AM
I sent a transaction with bitcoin core 0.14.2 and I noticed some coin missing. The amount in my wallet shows as correct but on blockchain.info I can see 2 amounts where sent to different addresses at the same time. I'm really concerned the pc I was using is compromised in some way. Help would be appreciated.

Bitcoin core wallet contains more than one address. For security and privacy reasons, when you make a transaction, the change returns into another address of yours.
(This is why regular backups of wallet.dat are a good idea.)
However, there's nothing to worry about, especially as the wallet reports the expected amount.
13409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: November 27, 2017, 07:01:04 AM
Tenx claims to have a working product but for most people they actuallydont have a working product. It only works when you can actually use the product. Sure some have received it and are able to use it already. But I bet it's not even 20% of all the people who have pre-ordered. Which puts it in the test phase. I won't call it a working product. Its still in testing. If it was a car ill call it concept car. Something that is being tested but no yet produced for retail.

Dude.....It WORKS. I can literally go to a store and buy milk and guess what.......it WORKS. It's a WORKING product, I don't care what you say but it simply WORKS. I don't know how can you say it's not a WORKING product.....just because people outside of Europe or people still on the waiting list have not received it is not anything less than a WORKING product to you???

They didn't even send me the confirmation SMS to make an account there. That means that they don't even support all the carriers in Europe. This being said, they still have to work on it.. a lot. I can only imagine how it "works" outside Europe..

So the fact it works for you makes you one of the lucky ones, but don't make a rule off that.
13410  Economy / Services / Re: twitter bad follower removal on: November 25, 2017, 07:07:33 AM
is there such a service as a twitter bad/bot remover service?

if so, how does it distinguish between a bot account and someone who has not put in any details lol

please list here or get in touch with a price if it can be done or how to do it.

I use Unfollow (https://manageflitter.com/unfollow).
If you use it for free it's limited to some 20 unfollows per day, but it does the job, it helps you unfollow accounts that don't follow you back or, what is of interest for you, unfollow fake accounts. They give a spam/fake score or something like that and you decide which to unfollow and which to keep.

I advise you use it for free then decide if it's what you need, since, while it's very easy to use, you still need to make your choice and push the button for every one you want to stop following.
13411  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex fees INSANELY big! on: November 25, 2017, 06:59:19 AM
Also you have to realise that nobody on the orderbook will pay you market rate. Bid orders will always be below market rate, meaning that if you buy from an ask order and sell to a bid order you'll always result in a loss even if the price stays the same or even goes up a bit.

This plus the 0.2% or so trading fees they take(which isn't much by crypto standards) is why you have less BTC than you began with.

Ah, I see, OP didn't understand how exchanges work!
Those differences come from other user's orders, not from exchange.

If on a certain exchange you can find people buying Bitcoin only at 1000$ now and you sell, the 7000$ profit is for the user who bought, not for the exchange. The exchange still gets only the displayed 0.20-0.25% fee and the withdrawal fees.

On Bittrex case don't forget about the withdrawal fees, since last time I've checked they were bigger than usual. (Now even withdrawals are tricky, I hope that you know that.)
13412  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex fees INSANELY big! on: November 24, 2017, 11:53:19 AM
And nobody answered on my question : Is 10 USD fee NORMAL?

First of all, I've checked your numbers and in my case they are different. 669.96670022 and 666.62522041. On the right side I have 666.62522041 instead of 668.something, even worse than you.
Also if you enter the same number in a different order, the results are different (LOL).
Now the answer to your question, with my numbers:

0.39242276 * 1703.00000009 = 668.29596031
left side: 669.96670022 - 668.29596031 = 1.67
right side: 668.29596031 - 666.62522041 = 1.67

1.67 / 668.29596031 = 0.0024 = 0.24%
I knew of 0.20% fee, but it looks like it's closer to 0.25%.

However, the math looks pretty good imho.

Edit: I don't get your 10$ math. I've set the same numbers in the first cells at left and right to make everything correct and not compare apples with oranges. I hope that you have understood mine.
13413  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin from electrum wallet stolen on: November 24, 2017, 08:47:15 AM
I have a different theory, but somebody smarter than me should check for this because I don't know how.

If you reuse the same (one) address and the wallet software is not perfectly well done, you may end up "reusing R value". That's something about signing the transactions.
The result is that somebody smart enough can track that down and "recover" your private key, getting access to your funds.

Maybe you could look here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=581411.0 and ask the guy there if this was indeed what happened to you. That thread is locked, but maybe you can PM and ask nicely.
13414  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex fees INSANELY big! on: November 24, 2017, 07:54:36 AM
Also AFAIK bittrex uses Microsoft platform to power their engine - that makes scalability really painful, so I assume they are struggling with common problem in IT - How to lower the load, without lowering profits. As usual users will be those who pay Wink

With their problems on user verification and lack of support I expect them soon downgrade to the levels of Yobit or worse, so the scalability issue is almost fixed.
I know, I am mean, but they are also mean with their customers.
13415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: November 24, 2017, 07:41:26 AM
You do know CMC BTC rate is not real time and the Tenx rate updates every 15secs, so there will always be a  disconnect in rates, to your point sometimes lower or sometimes higher

Good to know, thanks.
I've tried today to make an account at TenX to get a chance to see their exchange rates and compare myself.
I think that the account making is a bit of overkill - the phone number should be necessary only if a card (virtual or real) is actually purchased, but the much bigger problem is that while my country is allowed and it let me enter the country code and phone number, the SMS with the confirmation code didn't come. So no account for me.
I see that TenX has more work to do. If they want more detail on this, they can PM me.
13416  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Never received bitcoin in wallet - who can help me on my birthday? on: November 23, 2017, 09:42:54 PM
Some services, especially exchanges, may move out the money from your account according to their needs, but also keep your account credited.
But since you are not credited, the chance of theft/hack is pretty big. Did you log in to your wallet from an e-mail (phishing)?
However, you should start with asking for help at the support of the service that handles your wallet, telling that your account is not credited.
If your money got indeed stolen then you have to disinfect your computer, change passwords or even make a new account Sad

That sounds potentially very disappointing.  I'm using 'bitcoin wallet'

You need to be more precise than that. All bitcoin wallets are ... well.. bitcoin wallets. It's a web site? What's the web site's address? Or you can make a screenshot and draw over sensitive data in Paint.

i've done some googleing but to no use, i've tried the Audio bugg...

Maybe you've seen it, maybe not; here's a generic list of actions you can try when a Steam game crashes or cannot start: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003549987-My-game-won-t-start-from-Steam-Game-crashes
13418  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁 LOTTERY 🎁19 BILLIONTH BETS PROMOTION🎁 on: November 23, 2017, 06:25:52 PM
Adding more games will be good so we do not have to bother visiting other sites just to play games that are not currently available in bitsler. Sports betting especially soccer games will be my best hope.

Sport bets are an interesting idea indeed, I think that's targeting a totally different user base.
But I guess that it also depends on Baryom's expertise on that field, since it may be greatly needed in order to fine tune the odds and the pay.
13419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin pricing on/in different exchanges on: November 23, 2017, 06:19:38 PM
I would  love to know which exchanges i can use for my currency.
I use ZAR as my currency.

I was told to get a polon...;kraken...;yobit  , but i dont understand why , because they dont support ZAR as far as i know?
Would you be able to tell me what i am missing and what i can do to make use of those exchanges?

Thanks for the replies.

Most of the exchanges we talk about here are US / EU based exchanges and they'll accept only USD or EUR.
There are also Russian or Chinese exchanges which are not on your list, they accept RUR or CNY.
That's where most money flows and that's what everybody talks about. It's an English forum after all.
I am from Romania. There are very few exchanges that accept RON, I've found them on my local board.
Look for people from your country, ask around, maybe you find something. Google for: south africa site:bitcointalk.org
Or check for localbitcoins, a website that allows in most countries such exchanges, just take extra care, since scams can also happen there.
13420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: November 23, 2017, 10:40:31 AM
At the given time 10:57am in Germany I have the rate of 1 BTC = 6.820,40 Euro per BTC; Coinmarketcap has 6.903,76 Euro per BTC. This is nearly 99 percent of the CMC price. Sometimes the price is a bit higher; other times a little bit lower than the CMC price per Bitcoin.

Thanks. This is 1.01% and it's a pretty good indicator.
Interesting enough, I've got quite the same (6737.21 EUR vs 6891.45 @ coinmarketcap, 1.02%) at Wirex half an hour later than you, which is strange since I've got the feeling that Wirex has high fees (3%) and TenX has low fees (0.5%). I'll keep my eyes open, since this may be caused by some bigger fluctuation and a slow reaction to it.

Sorry for bringing the competition into discussion this much. At least I am confident TenX has the possibility to move faster in "fixing" this Smiley
