13421  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is there a list of members of the forum (preferably trusted) with ln nodes? on: August 07, 2020, 02:51:23 PM
I am up and ready to start a node.

I have not run one in a long time and I have forgotten how to set it up.

the pc is good enough to do it.

the blockchain is loaded up to aug 1 or aug 2 it will be fully synched in about an hour.

Does anyone have a few links for me to set it up?

I will then add respectable members to it.

It will be up most of the time.

Baring blackouts and internet outages.

it has a gen 10 intel i5 10600k cpu.

this will run a dedicated btc node.

 i think i used 20.0 or 19.1
13422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 07, 2020, 01:35:29 PM
ok. let's value it against hectares of prime arable? not many other finite resources out there.

Americans be like, WTF is a hectar?

It belongs in usa measurement system [as does all metric numbers] they should know.

As an American that had a revolution against the UK.back ing 1776 how the fuck is it we are the only country still using a dead British king's arm length to measure land?

Quote
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yard

...

William of Malmesbury's Deeds of the Kings of England records that during the reign of Henry I "the measure of his arm was applied to correct the false ell of the traders and enjoined on all throughout England."[14] The folktale that the length was bounded by the king's nose[15] was added some centuries later. Watson dismisses William's account as "childish"[16] but William was among the most conscientious and trustworthy medieval historians.[17] The French "king's foot" was supposed to have derived from Charlemagne,[17] and the English kings subsequently repeatedly intervened to impose shorter units with the aim of increasing tax revenue.

The earliest surviving definition of this form of the ell appears in the Act on the Composition of Yards and Perches, one of the statutes of uncertain date[n 3] tentatively dated to the reign of Edward I or II c. 1300. Its wording varies in surviving accounts. One reads:[19]

...

So a yard is 3 feet  a mile is 5280 feet. etc.

For the life of me WTF is  America doing being the country using this.

When we left in 1776 as a fuck you to Henry the 8th. yet we still follow Henry the 1 arms length. to this day.

meanwhile as a doge multi millionaire it ticked up a bit chasing it master BTC like a good little doggie.

BTC. $11742

Doge $0.00355831. x 2,000,000 = 7116 franklins.   I got to 2,000,000  at  $0.00233 so  4660 has turned into 7116

Doge is how I can hodl my btc which is slowly growing for me.

Haven't posted here in a long time.  I've been mining non-stop since 2017 and for the last year plus, just with my GPUs (55 total, mostly 1080Ti's) and with my 50Kw of solar, that is covering my power cost 100%.

Phil all those GPUs you sold me way back when are all still going strong!   Grin

as are the ones I held on to. 🙂

at gabyrox open an account on smos

2 dollars a month for the 1 rig.

you dont have to pay more then a month at a time.

meanwhile

I am doing okay with the gpus and the monero.
I am doing okay with the farm in clifton.

I am doing a major hodl in doge.

2,000,000 coins. they moved from 4600 usd to 7000 usd.

I really would like to,hold them until 2022 I would be 65.
13426  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VIRUSES DO NOT EXIST: The Virus Hoax created by the Pharma Cartel on: August 07, 2020, 01:04:58 AM
okay lets start with:

rabies

so big pharma took a time machine back hundreds of years.

spread a magic spell called it rabies.

if a mad dog bit you certain death.

this floated around europe for hundreds of years.

the shout of mad dog 🐕 was a warning of certain death 💀 if the dog bit you.

big pharma planned it sent another wizard back in time in the 1800s some guy called louie pastur.

you know the guy that invented pasturized milk.

all of this was done to lay the groundwork for all the other fake vaccines 💉 .

once they could fix rabies all stupid people fell into line and simply get vaccines that are no good.

If you don't believe in viruses go kiss a dog with rabies.

that said big pharma has zero need to make money on viruses.

they make money on diabetes. a lot of money.  viruses are risky.

power is back

So if you click the image you will see the power cut to 1680mv lowers hash rate a bit and lowers temps a bit.
errors are close to equal .

fans were set to 90%  volts set to  1680mv.

fans in new test will be 80% volts set to 1690mv.
13429  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Some very 'bad' news on s19 shipments. on: August 06, 2020, 08:11:57 PM
Finally got power internet and access back.

It looks like these delays will run into November so don't expect anything much sooner.
13430  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Release S17E custom firmware on: August 04, 2020, 02:49:17 PM
Okay here is what I did I made a new account on viabtc

the miners.

new t17e

old t17e

just did it it will show results of the two miners at the pool
These are on our optimum backup/isolation/testing router
200mbs service
cisco 1gig switch

I will post back daily this is 2 mods on new

1680mv
90% fan on new

1760mv
100% fan on old

this is early so ignore hash difference

this is early hw errors are zero
rejects are off 7 to 1. will need to keep an eye on this
note fan speed is lower.

13431  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Some very 'bad' news on s19 shipments. on: August 04, 2020, 02:37:37 PM
Okay these were repair parts correct?

I quoted you below

Recently I ordered some spare parts from Bitmain, and they still haven't shipped. Odd since they are usually consistent and quick to ship (for spare parts at least).

I checked on their website and it seems like every single product is out of stock, including EVERYTHING on https://shop.bitmain.com/product/parts !!

Do you guys think bitmain is going bankrupt? I submitted a ticket but I'm afraid they might just keep my money even if they've stopped shipping orders.

This is all I could find online: https://news.bitcoin.com/leadership-feud-at-bitmain-10000-antminers-go-missing-in-inner-mongolia/

to moderator   this is from locked thread of Tim-bc

TIM please let us know when then arrive.

I wonder if they will get covid-19 delayed

and as of right now

https://shop.bitmain.com  . listed sold out all miners

https://shop.bitmain.com/product/parts .  all parts listed sold out

So maybe they are cleaning up old orders.
13432  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Laurentia Pool - BAD risk for miners on: August 04, 2020, 02:01:22 PM
Well I am trying to get better choices for owners of bitmain gear.

I am not interested in turning profits from this t17e mod.

I have been letting thierry4wd access my 2 t17e units on a separate router/internet service  that we maintain as back up and as a screener for virus filled gear.

At the moment he has been able to alter voltage settings from 1760mv to 1680mv.  which really helps my t17e gear.

This would benefit all miners owning this locked gear. My goal is to help anyone with a locked t17e not burn up their gear.

I also know that if we were to do this and agree as a group of pools and miners it puts pressure on bitmain to allow or at least make better firmware.

The s9 the s9i the s9j firmware from summer 2019 is decent and allows for lowering your miners temps.

So far my testing on the one unlocked t17e is showing lower temps.

The mod is allowing only lower volts at stock freq.

Every pool owner would stand a chance to benefit if miners have better gear.

A t17e using 200 watts less but hashing at same rate = win win

Shipping is around 35 from NC to NJ

So want do you want to sell for?

13434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: August 03, 2020, 07:54:47 PM
Hey everyone! Great to see Phil still running these threads and going strong!

Given the recent spike in ETH price, I decided to starting turning back on my rigs.

Of course, my 2 Nvidia rigs (w/1070ti's) were up and running perfectly in no time. Just downloaded Claymore v15, copied over my config file from 1 year ago (last time my miners were on lol) and bam! running amazingly smooth!

Now, the issue comes with my 4 AMD rigs, mostly running MSI RX 470's (4GB). If anyone here is still running those, you are probably aware that you can no longer have a 4GB GPU in port 0... either has to be bigger than 4GB or use Intel Integrated Graphics.  Luckily on 1 rig i do have one 8GB Sapphire 470, so i swapped it over to port 0.  I just used DDU to wipe previous drivers, and now am at the stage of installing new drivers.

My question is, what are the last good AMD drivers available to run 470 rigs?  Looks like the last ones i was using were 18.3 or so.  Most current appears to be 20.4.2 but was wondering if anyone has used those successfully, or if slightly older versions might be better.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I would do smos for all four rigs. cost is eight bucks a month for the four rigs.

you should get aug sept oct nov.   easy peasy.  cost of 32 bucks.  way cheaper then buying 3 cards.

and you only need pay eight bucks at a time.

as for 5600 vs 5700.

price is king and of course time is money .

so cheap and in stock helps.
13435  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Release S17E custom firmware on: August 03, 2020, 05:14:07 PM
yeah i left my two t17e units on the small network. one is flashed one is not.

I will let him play with the two for the time it takes.

i am are not sure how many units are out there in the network.

we should know more by next week end. if he can get the t17e to work.

bump and a delete

here is  update we will be testing this again very soon maybe in 1 hour

after testing we have achieved

a partial success . the voltage is unlocked.

we lowered voltage to 1680mv temps are better.

Needs to run overnight, but it was doing around 1750 to 1800mv  on older bitmain firmware and ran hot now does 1680 mv.

We will work on frequency control tomorrow

here is the stock miner note voltage 1760mv

so 80mv volt savings

13436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 03, 2020, 03:08:11 PM
Too many charts here  Grin I know we should look at the wall but I believe that time has passed.
We need more trains, rockets and spartans.
Forget charts.

Yep get outside that box look at this from a miners viewpoint.

Tx fees shot to the moon in 2017 april

ATH was dec 2017

Tx fees are way up there July 2020

I think they are a leading indicator of a bullrun

In 2017 you started to have gear shortages  then bull run

In 2020 bitmain ain't selling anything = Bull run?

https://shop.bitmain.com/  every miner sold out = Bullrun?

https://shop.bitmain.com/product/parts  every part sold out = Bullrun?

but wait there is more

I have done difficulty threads for years.

Called the 2018 october difficulty drop perfectly. to the exact epoch

I study price / difficulty relationships  a lot.

BACK IN 2017 diff could not keep up with the price rise. miners with gear in place scored big time

from july 7 2017 diff was 860 gh  to dec 5 2017 diff was 1.34th   so increase in diff was a factor of

1340/860 = 1.558 factor increase

check price rise from july 7 2017 to dec  5 2017

July 4 2524    dec 11 16060  or 16060/2524 = 6.36 factor increase

that was a glorious time for a miner  as price jumped 6.363x  while diff jumped 1.558x

So if I am correct every factor or indicator for a repeat is in place.

crazy high fees
restricted gear purchasing

it all matches up.

it also fits with USA election fud
covid-19 fud

I would think if you go from july 21 price of 9100 x 6.36 = 57902

This is an outside the box analysis based from the viewpoint of a miner not a trader.

Reminds me of when I 1st heard Deep Purple's  "Smoke on the Water" and thought the refrain was "Slooooow running Hoooooorses!....."

...on fire in the sky.

Obviously, a hymn from the book of revelations.

I wonder what's that "mobile" they are referring to as in:
"To make records with a mobile
We didn't have much time..."

calling @JimboToronto...

They were recording an album for mobile studios on the spur of the moment is the story. IIRC

some stupid with a flare gun burned it to the ground

smoke on the water and fire in the sky.

frank zappa of the mother’s  studio was burned to the ground.

My first concert at long islands nassau coliseum.

1972 I was 15.

Hah, those were the days of youth for me as well. My Mom was a bartender and i used to play this on the jukebox all day long. these days it would be child abuse to have kids in bars. Smiley

she used toi say i was better off in the bar with her than on the streets Smiley

My wife's granddad then her dad owned a bar from the 1930's to 1980 In Jamaica Queens.,

He was Joe the bartender before Jackie Gleason was.

I have three two card 1080ti rigs at a place with free power. i simply give 1/2 the coins to the guy letting me run them.

I build a lot of two card cased rigs because they are easy to stick into offices that need a space heater.
they also can become a gamer by pulling the smos usb stick out.
I have a four card 1080ti rig this is a true mining rig uses smos it is an eight card mobo with hard wired cpu.

I have a five card rig with 1080ti,  1080, 2x 1070, 1660 smos so that is 5 rigs and 15 cards on smos.

I have six monero rigs four with amd r 3900 two thread rippers. they have either amd 5500 or amd 5700

i think it is about 95000 hash for monero

and 300 mhs for eth.

so 11 rigs and i think 24 cards.
13439  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [300 PH][BTC PPS 100%][EN/CN/RU] Sigmapool.com on: August 03, 2020, 01:07:31 PM
A year and a half later, the pool has not gone bankrupt and they now have close to 700PH, I wonder what went wrong with Kano's math.  Cheesy

You are wrong he did the math perfectly.

But he misapplied the formula which I clearly explained to him which is the cause of him hating and attacking me.

The white paper of Meni Rosenfeld  the creator of the formula that kano correctly applied states the bigger the pool is the greater the risk is.

Since the pool is only 700ph which is around .4% of the network they simply can't fall behind 4000 coins.

.4% =   .576 blocks a day. back then it would be 7.2 coins a day. now it would be 3.6 coins a day

so in order to fall 4000 coins behind they would need to miss blocks 600 days in a row to get to lose 4000 coins back then

or 3.6 x 600 to lose 2000 coins now.

This is the start of my war with kano.  Sad so sad.

BTC price got all the way past 12000

12,134 at 12:01 Am Aug 2

then dropped to 11,182 at 1 am Aug 2.   Note I got those numbers from Coinbase price charts

it has been hanging in there at about 11200 since then.

11,200 and a diff dropping to 16.6 would be nice.

I will be adding some more info when I post here.

tx fees of last six blocks lifted from this site.

https://www.blockchain.com/explorer

642025. = 1.34
642024. = 1.76
642023. = 0.77
642022  = 1.54
642021. = 1.42
642020. = 1.77

huge fees are like coins being worth more then 11,200 for a miner using a pool that shares those fees.

I have most of my 1.7ph with viabtc

if you look here

https://www.viabtc.com/pool/state

they are paying

111.79 %. that means 6.25 x 1.1179 = 6.9868 coins a block

or for a guy mining at viabtc. the 11200 coin price is boosted to 12520

this is not an advertisement for viabtc it is simply showing that. for miners on the right pools. we are getting 2 boosts

1) the rise in coin price.  and

2) the share of the larger tx fees.

I also want to make note that in spring of 2017 fees got stupid high and were a leading indicator for the fall bull run.

I am basing a lot of this bull run to come on FUD of the Nov 2020 election in the USA

The left and the right are so fearful of each other that anyone with money is thinking just in case I need to leave the USA I want some wealth to have.

ie crypto coins better then anything if you are leaving an unstable country.

So if the election fear turn out to be a dud BTC and other coins will drop ending this bull run.
But it the election turns into a huge mess, first pray for me and my wife as we are not leaving, second coins will move higher.

Lastly I came up with this idea the following way.
35 days ago I told my wife we should go to Canada around Oct 25 of this year to watch the election result from a safer place.
She said fuck that shit we are staying.
I said okay.
Canada closed it borders to USA citizens about 25 days ago.
I then read Tom Hanks and his Wife became greek citizens which means they can travel to Greece and be let in.
After looking at all of the above I purchased 2 s15's on ebay at 730 with shipping tax and ebucks for the 2 with 24 months to pay zero interest. I realized the bull run would start soon.

July 21 we were at 9100

I purchased my units on July 21

Timing was perfect.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bitmain-Antminer-S15-28TH-s-ASIC-Bitcoin-Miner-BTC-with-PSU-Not-S9-S17-M2-M20/224075044130?

Much like oct 2018 when I said the diff would drop right before the large drops happened.

I have no idea is my call will be as good as the 2018 diff drop call was, but why not    and we get an ATH for btc.
