yeah i think he killed psu.

if he killed the psu it will be hard to get one.

as bitmain stopped selling them. or any other gear.

Op are you usa based?

i may have a source for psu.

first listen to mikey

set to low
check all power plugs to psu
make sure you have 210-240 power.

Reminds me of when I 1st heard Deep Purple's  "Smoke on the Water" and thought the refrain was "Slooooow running Hoooooorses!....."

...on fire in the sky.

Obviously, a hymn from the book of revelations.

I wonder what's that "mobile" they are referring to as in:
"To make records with a mobile
We didn't have much time..."

calling @JimboToronto...

They were recording an album for mobile studios on the spur of the moment is the story. IIRC

some stupid with a flare gun burned it to the ground

smoke on the water and fire in the sky.

frank zappa of the mother’s  studio was burned to the ground.

My first concert at long islands nassau coliseum.

1972 I was 15.

Other then if <censored> hits 1 dollar.😀

Hey no shitcoinery talk bro.
Else Jay will meme bat-slap you upside the head.
Followed by lots of words...

Hell having that coin lets me hodl all my btc.

I tell my self it has a huge upside. as it has only 500 million marketcap.

I only need  four or five billionaires to jack it up ten or twenty fold.  Like the Hunt bros did with silver when i was in the Navy. those shit coins allow me to stay relaxed about my btc.

hodl btc.

Now here is my exact point.  Btc got to 12134 and dropped to 11920 weak hands sold at 12+

in olden days. I would have been weak.

instead I smiled at 12134

then looked at my doge which is up today and simply smiled again.

btw doge was a the leading indication of this run as it had a strong rise back in ealry july.

that prompted me to buy some btc miners on ebay using 24 months no interest

I get to trade paypal credit for steady cheaply purchased coins.

i pay 50-50 coins so

I am buying btc from these miners at 11900/2 or 5950 a btc.  add in the monthly payment of 35 a month.

As I rarely trade I look at it from outside the box of charts teacups spoons 🥄 etc.

as I am buying coins at 1/2 price

Wow.  Half-price Bitcoin sounds awesome.  I've looked into using used and brand new miners where I live and even though the gov't has removed time-of-day pricing for electricity and fixed the price at ~$.09 /kWh I would be lucky to break even on the electricity cost alone.  You're a maestro of mining!

Its nice but deals for power like i have are really hard to find.

lots of buying and selling gear as if they are stocks or coins.

it took me more then five years to create steady coin flow.

and it is not like it is a coin a month

it is steady but 100kwatts of which 50 kwatts an hour is my share.

so i have a potential of 1.5 ph with all new gear.

I dont have 1.5 ph I have about .5ph after all costs.

as the gear,is a mix of s9 s15 s17pro.

I try to expand hash rate very deliberately.

and hodl part of the coins.

its a grind but more sure then what you guys do trading.

its why i think more outside the box of candles and walls.

wish i had the time to properly blend the two.

One local place has the 2060 KO Ultra for 329.00.

They had a 2060 super for $369, but it looks like there is a mini-run on cards...out of stock again.

But it looks like the AMD kills it for the $$$

yeah i can them under $ 380

with a coupon or two.

I just got one from best buy

a 4% a 10% a 6% all stacked sales tax was 7%

so about 12% off list of 399 or 364 just came to my house today.

an msi 5700xt mech

i will hook it up in a bit

i will snap some photos
13446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: August 03, 2020, 12:45:41 AM

What do you think about the 2060 or 2060 super ?

I know you mentioned waiting, BUT If you HAD to build something now, what would you use ?

what price would you pay

i see them at 400 usd for a 2060 super

i see amd 5700 xt at about 400 even 379

the amd is doing better then 50mhs and under 150 watts

i don’t have a 2060 super so i have zero idea if it does 50mhs at 150 watts

anybody know?  i googled and found 36 to 42 at 125 watts

so the amd 5700xt look better.
13447  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 Pro no longer hashing. Bad ASICs ? on: August 03, 2020, 12:35:01 AM
i am looking at it.

unplug it let it sit.

lets play 20 questions.

did you ever use any firmware other then bitmain.

what setting is it on low normal turbo.

is it the s17pro 50th 53th 56th

do not use a different firmware but if you have always had bitmain firmware

which one are you using?

do not upgrade the bitmain firmware just tell which one you have.
13448  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Laurentia Pool - Unknown risk for miners on: August 02, 2020, 07:54:17 PM
Actually there is a very good reason to do what I am doing.

I am looking to encourage firmware development

Kano seems to not want to encourage firmware development

My goal is to help each and every btc miner in the world and it is worth spending 115th of mining gear for months.

Once I finish the theirry4wd testing I would move onto the vnish testing.

With luck a few others would point to the solo pools we would hit a few blocks and end the controversy of blockless aftermarket firmware.

I have more to do here. but that is it for now.
13449  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Why all miners need to mine on a pool that pays them the tx fees. on: August 02, 2020, 07:46:09 PM
I have unlocked this as we are now experiencing high fees again.

Last 2 weeks 1 btc per block has been common.

Is this means you need to go for pools giving you at least some of that 1 btc.

https://www.blockchain.com/explorer?utm_campaign=dcomnav_explorer

some blocks below made this sunday the 2nd of august.

641927  0.537 in btc
641926  0.442
641925  0.728
641924  1.593
641923  0.617
641922  0.494
641921  0.297
641920  1.265

as you can see some fees are well over 1 btc smallest was .297 btc.

VIABTC.com is a pps+ pool they pay part of the fees

they are at 111% payout average right now due to high fees

https://www.viabtc.com/pool/state

solo.ckpool  pays almost all the tc fees to you
mmpool.org  will give the block winner the entire tx a huge bonus.
kano.is gives out the fees to the miners.

whenever we get to tx fees at 10% +  look for pools giving this out to you.

as to how long these .5btc to 2.0 btc  tx fees will last this time i don't know but pick pools that will share it to you.

I was asked if this applies to other coins.
It does but in each case you need to see how high that coin is charging for fees.

BTC = 112.06% at viabtc
LTC =.  96.16% at viabtc

viabtc starts at 96% many pps+ pools start at that point.

You can see just how high the btc fees are compared to ltc.

So 1.7 million, but the address has spent 9000 plus coins

To me the dec 4 2017  deposit is of interest.

I think I remember what those 12 coins were.

Looking at the wallet from Nov 24 to dec 31 of 2017 is fun

13451  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Release S17E custom firmware on: August 02, 2020, 04:24:07 PM
we will work more with the t17e

I have come up with an idea that helps everyone here it is

@ biffa a lot is not known about aftermarket firmware

I did see a clear cut piece of evidence that shows at least one block hit with braiins. Plus braiins has some permission to run its firmware as i understand it.

While I have encourage aftermarket firmware development I have been particular about what I use for my 1.7 ph of gear.

I use all bitmain and a tiny bit of braiins.

While I would like to strike a deal about using t17 s17 and all the letters that go with that  I have not.

If and when I acquire working aftermarket gear for the above it will mine directly to a solo pool

with the address published and no funds to be taken in and out of it if it indeed hits a block.

I only have access to one solo pool  that is solo.ckpool

My hope would be to use 2 t17e miners with 1 pointed to solo.ckpool and one pointed to solo.kano.is pool

If they hit a block I would give ⅓ to kano ⅓ to ck and ⅓ to me.

I really want the war to end { no sarcasm} so  I am working with thierry4wd

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1656984

I can't think of a better idea than this .

But if it were to  work and mine to the two solo pools that would be good.
if it were to hit a block that would be better.

risk to ck = zero
risk to kano = zero

risk to me I lose 115th of mining earnings for months to come.

benefits to ck ⅓ of a block possible.
benefits to kano ⅓ of a block possible
benefits to me ⅓ of a block possible oh  I look like someone trying to help everybody
benefits to thierry4wd proof his firmware works and can hit blocks

benefits to mining community working software/firmware that helps with bitmain 17 gear.

So if we get the 2 t17e's running I will do like the idea above. Fingers crossed that we get it worked out.

13454  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Miner Full Control Unlock All Settings on: August 02, 2020, 04:14:49 AM
I don’t look in this section much.

As I end up fighting kano

I don’t want to fight him.

So I end up leaving this area alone.

Being called a criminal and threatened as a possible lawsuit when and if btc becomes 100k will do that.

Other then one point the video is great.

I read 1.4 or 1.5 amps at 209 or 210 watts.

which is around 50 to 55 watts.

my point is amps and volts on a meter can be off by 10%

in fact a meter can be adjusted or calibrated so the only thing in question is if the meter is accurate.

since I don’t have the ability to use my meter i’m simply not sure of the meter’s accuracy.

If he has an s9 doing under sixty watts he has a beast of an idea.

I would be willing to try his mod out to see if i can get good numbers like he did.

Next time you should add the Source of where you have the Article just to avoid to get banned , even you are the writer of this article at medium !

Original Article is here : https://medium.com/coinfly/all-mining-pools-are-stealing-or-not-4ef9ffe789f9
IT was written there 2 Days ago !

Another parameter that is constantly changing is network difficulty. And it is also not clear what period of time is considered for this parameter (day, week, etc.)

Just simple with the difficulty , as more miners connecting the difficulty goes up and if miners leave the difficulty goes down.
So more Hashrate you have the difficulty for your worker will rise .

As i read the article I thought that it was copied or lifted.

My guess is the forum member is the poster from medium and that it is merely their own work.
Just as you point out.
@op please understand that the forum is USA based and is subject to copy-write rules.

So when posting copies from an other website  even when it is you own work it asks that you make note of it.

Btw pretty well written info I liked it.

my two braiins units point to solo.ckpool.

both are two board or about 8+8 = 16 th use around 1250 watts.
13457  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: AVALON 841 Farm Help on: August 01, 2020, 11:42:00 PM
Okay Guys, thanks I was unsure of the Avalon's since i have zero experience with them. the 841's look like they are rated at 13.6 with a max of 14.3, would it be safe to assume 14.0 th when working my economics?

No think 13.0. always better to fudge in less profit.

Then if they average 13.8. you think the  .8 is a bonus.

Also 20c is a ambient temp 40c is not.

So they run better in 40-60f temps. then 90-100f temps

I would think you get 13.8 to 14 in the cooler weather.

and 13.1 to 13.6 in the hotter weather.

oh they run a little higher hash with four chains of four

then with four chains of five.

My 1080ti's are whaling on eth!

damn 9 cards are pulling in over 20 usd a day

What's your OC settings Phil? I use +100/150 core with +600 Memory PL 190W

no access but

5 core
105 memory

155 watts

seems right

I miss my 1080Tis, there's a time I had 4 1080Tis in a same rig, mining RVN (I still have RVN)
With ETHpill I started to mine ETH too and had great profits
1080tis were the most expensives GPUs I bought, but it were beasts for profit and extremely easy to sell a year later

Now I have 5700xt mining at 54Mhs at 135 watts

yeah i have three of them. i wish i had a few more.
13460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4GB GPUs and DAG file load problem with Claymore on: August 01, 2020, 10:32:04 PM
HAHA i'm mining with windows and 4GB cards, and i give not up, because why? My Rigs running well.

After reading your description the fix for windows is -> use internal gpu as first gpu and you have no problems.

Wait until 370 epoch, you will change your mind.

Great thread, one thing is missing and is until what dag number #3xx will those people with 4gb mine eth on simplemining OS? 4GB is if I'm not mistaken exactly dag #384.

He mentions the 4gb cards die in dec or nov 2020 even on simple mining

My worst card is a 1050ti mining on kapow.

I have 2 or 3 1660's
I have 4 rx 5500's all 8gb got a good deal on them
I have 2 rx 5700's
I have 11 1080ti's
I have  2  1070's
I have 1   1080

well december eth 2.0 will launch anyways and mining will be dead right?
yeah we will see how that goes.
