@akunin
All three of your posts are from the Indonesian local forum.
7. Only posts written in decent English will be considered, NO posts from Local Boards.

@steve57
Your first post is a question. You are asking the community for help and advice about crypto.
Sorry but I didn't find anything in your posts worth meriting.

@Snowflower11
You will get the 1st Merit.

I have decided to lower the Activity requirement to 30+.
I added an update to the Rules: ONLY Newbies who have not received a single Merit will be considered.

This thread is now open again, 3 Merits remaining for 3 Newbies who comply with the rules.
13542  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Svašta o Twitteru on: December 18, 2018, 01:29:00 PM
13543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giving 4 Newbie Members a Chance to Rank Up To J. Member on: December 18, 2018, 01:17:36 PM
Yeah I understand, hopefully if you lower it for next round I will qualify as I am about to hit 28 activity Smiley
You got it wrong. You dont qualify for this. You have 2 merits and as soon as you reach 30 Activity level you will be promoted to Jr. Member. Therefore, you can have 2 Merits or 200 merits but you still need the required Activity level as well!
Any newbie with 1+ merit only needs to reach the activity level 30 and he will become a J.Member.

I am going to update the Rules a bit adding that ONLY Newbies with 0 Merits qualify for this campaign.

I am locking the thread now and I will go through the applications that the users posted and make an update soon!

Do you usually use a couple of passwords for all the sites you visit? For example you have 3 passwords and you use either one of these everywhere you register or a combination like site name + a number and some word.
Are you still using any other services, websites from around 2009 (since that is the year of the shown transactions on the picture) where you can try the password that you use for those sites?
Do you have an English keyboard or a non English language preference on your PC/laptop? is it possible that you are mistyping the password because some letters are altered due to your language preferences? For example the Z and Y on some keyboards.

Maybe also some of these tips can help you to remember the password you used back when you created the wallet.

I found these two users who have offered similar services on BT in the past, maybe you can contact them and see if you can work something out. But deal with them at your own risk! I am not promoting or advising to use them, it is just what I found in my search.

I would have loved to have applied Sad
Yes, like Fenya96 said, you wouldn't qualify since you are a Jr. Member in the making. As soon as you have the needed amount of Activity you will be upgraded.

...maybe a change of rules would do
I will consider lowering the activity requirement in the next round if i dont give out the set merits but for this round it will stay at 50+

since the lower rank users aren't interest in writing quality posts, the higher rank user who aren't receiving much merits should be considered.
I understand your concern. I took a look at your merit history and saw that many trustworthy and good members have given you merits which means that you are doing a good job otherwise some of them wouldn't have merited you. Just keep it up and more merits will certainly come your way.

hello sir please give me one merit...
RULE 4
4. No merit begging.
Dont beg for merits! I will still take a look at your posts but dont beg for them.
13548  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Privcy Foundation running a fake bounty signature on: December 16, 2018, 09:56:07 PM
It is a fake campaign again. I tried to ask in their telegram channel but there is only a bot there and no activity so I checked the discord channel and someone already asked about the thread today. Their discord admin confirmed it is a fake campaign!

Has anyone considered investing in clean water? Is there a market for that? We are polluting and destroying our world every day. What if in 10-20 years we will have a shortage of drinkable water?!
13551  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giving 4 Newbie Members a Chance to Rank Up To J. Member on: December 16, 2018, 05:46:02 PM
Maybe my requirement for the activity level of 50+ is the problem. But I intentionally used a higher activity level requirement to try and award Newbies who have been here for some time and maybe have had their posts overlooked in the past.
13552  Other / Meta / Re: question on newbie thread on using bitcoin and crypto on: December 16, 2018, 05:37:16 PM
I assume that you are referring to these 2 rules that you are not sure about:

Quote
22. Advertising (this includes mining pools, gambling services, exchanges, shops, etc.) in others threads' is no longer allowed, including, but not limited to, in altcoin announcement threads. [8]
In your thread you are planning to use Coinbase as an example, but since you are the OP and not posting in someone else's thread you are not breaking this rule.

Quote
24. Advertisements (including signatures within the post area) in posts aren't allowed unless the post is in a thread you started and is really substantial and useful.
Again, the focus is that you shouldn't make any advertisements in someone else's thread. But since you are making a guide for people to read and use, the thread is both substantial and useful . And besides, you have to use something as an example.

That is just my way of interpreting these rules and I might be wrong so lets see what others say.
13553  Other / Beginners & Help / Giving X Newbie/Jr. Members a Chance to Rank Up on: December 16, 2018, 12:50:24 PM
I have decided to open this thread in order to help ONLY Newbie and Jr. Members and give them a chance to rank up.
The reason why I am doing this only for Newbie and Jr. Members is that sometimes their posts can be overlooked and they might have a hard time getting those needed merits even though they try hard to make a quality contribution. This doesn't mean this is a merit giveaway thread because it is not. You will have to show me your posts that you think deserve to be merited, I will take a look at the suggested posts and other posts from your profile and decide whether to give you a merit or not.

Read the rules, make sure you understand them! This will be a self-moderated thread, I will remove any off-topic posts or applications from members that dont comply with the rules. I will put aside X Merits that will be given to X different Newbie/Jr. Member accounts - 1 Merit per Account ONLY.

This thread will stay open for 2 days. After that I will lock it and go over the applications.

RULES:

1. In order to apply you need to have an activity level of 30 if you are a Newbie or 60 if you are a Jr. Member.
2. Send me direct links to your posts that you believe deserve to be merited. 3 posts per user MAX.
3. Your posts had to be written before 31/12/2020. Any posts after this date will not be considered.
4. No merit begging, merit requesting, proposing to buy/trade merits in any way. NO PMs, if you send me a PM proposing any of this I will not consider your application, your post/pm will be made public and reported to Mods.
5. I will only consider Newbie/Jr. Members who are making any kind of quality contributions to the forum. I have nothing against bounty campaigns BUT if 99% of your posts are in the Altcoin > Bounty Section / Thread Bumps / Off topic posts / Low quality / Spam / Nice project, good luck type of posts / you will not be considered.
6. Only NEWBIE/JR. MEMBER Accounts will be considered, no other ranks.
7. Only posts written in decent English will be considered, NO posts from Local Boards.

i guess you need those details for faster retrieval of the transaction.  am i right?
No I think this has to do with staking your BTC address in order to prove ownership of your BTT account. It is recommended to stake your address in this thread > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0
That way you will be able to prove you are the rightful owner of the BTT account in case it gets hacked.

13559  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Are there any selfless deeds? on: December 14, 2018, 05:30:19 PM
I grew up holding doors for people, being especially polite to people who have to deal with others for a living, and a handful of other common courtesies that aren't really anything major, but apparently some people notice from time to time. I don't get any satisfaction out of doing things like that, its just habit.
I like your reply a lot but I wanted to ask you about this part that I quoted. You say that you grew up holding doors for people. You were either thought to hold doors or you saw someone else do it, liked it, and decided to do it yourself, am I correct? I do it all the time as well. When i walk in/out of my building and see that a neighbour is approaching I tend to stay for a few extra seconds and hold the door. It seems un polite to slam the door before their faces. I was taught to do that and I also saw my parents do it while I was growing up and now it is a normal thing for me to do. Most of the time the reaction of the people who I held the doors for were positive. There was either a smile, or a thank you or the occasional 'what a polite young man you are'... Intentionally or not, I am sure those reactions stick with you in one way or the other. Imagine if the reactions were negative and instead people would say 'I can open my own doors, I don t need your help'! Can you really say without a doubt that the reactions you received from people didn't have the slightest affect on you growing up? I dont think I can. I am not doing it because of the recognition but I do expect at least a 'thanks' in return.

You should move this to the Help & Discussion forum as Meta is only for discussions related to this forum and nothing else.
At the end of the page click on Move Topic and select the Help & Discussion forum to move the topic there.

If someone is to help you with your problem you need to give more info regarding the content of the message you received. Nobody will be able to help you based on that what you wrote.
To be on the safe side you should not download any files that come from people you dont know.
