13581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: March 16, 2019, 05:02:45 PM
Ajax has not chance against a Juventus team with Ronaldo in great form. They knocked out Real just because Real was very demoralized after losing almost every match in LaLiga, especially those with Barcelona. I see Juventus winning in both rounds, at home and away with some ease.
Real is a team full of stars who have won it all. They don't really have a lot of motivation left. I think that is the key. There is nowhere to go from here but down for Real. A new team will have to be built and a lot of old timers will lose their place in it. They can admit it or not but losing Ronaldo - their main reference point in attack, hurt them a lot. And without Ramos at the back, they are almost unrecognisable.
13582  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help with wallet will reward. 4.67 BTC showing in coinb.in wallet but wont spend on: March 16, 2019, 04:50:27 PM
Maybe he was planning on rewarding HCP only for giving a little more details. His post isn't clear, he only asks someone to post the address, could be either you or HCP or both.
13583  Other / Meta / Re: Help with inbox / outbox messaging on: March 16, 2019, 09:50:07 AM
There has been a suggestion recently to change the way the forum displays PMs here > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5116208.0
But I don't think anything will change, especially now when testing has begun on the new forum software.
13584  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Make a system for newbies to pay a fee for creating a sales thread. on: March 16, 2019, 09:40:32 AM
Anyone can scam and anyone can decide to misuse his trust and become a scammer one day and the rank doesn't matter. Setting these restrictions only on Newbies is wrong in my opinion. And theymos is right when he talks about newbie jail. The rules should be the same for anyone. If we want this community and the crypto movement to prosper we can't set restrictions on new members because it is counter productive to what we all want to achieve with Bitcoin. There have also been cases of high ranked members turning scammers so this will only prevent one group of potential fraudsters.
13585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: March 16, 2019, 09:01:50 AM
I think Juventus has a great chance of going through to the 1/2 Finals. Yes, Ajax knocked Real out but Juventus will not make the mistake to consider them as easy opponents which is what Real did. It will also depend on the availability of Ronaldo. He might face disciplinary actions for his gesture at the end of the match but for now the UEFA disciplinary committee has not opened aa investigation against him or Juventus.
13586  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum and VPN on: March 16, 2019, 08:50:21 AM
Are you experiencing disconnections when you are on your VPN while browsing and using the Internet, not just Electrum? It could also be a conflict with the AntiVirus you use. I know that Avira used to do that. Disconnect your VPN for no apparent reason.
13587  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: March 15, 2019, 10:05:24 PM
<Snip>
That post seems OK, but I found these two from the same user that I still cant determine who copied from whom?
Are u gonna burn your coins?

Once the platform is ready, half of the coins as payments to our portal will be burnt thereby reducing the number of coins and increasing the demand. For example, if the coin holder pays 100 PTCs to the portal, 50 of which will be burnt. The coins will be burnt until there is a stable amount of coins to maintain liquidity. The tentative value currently is 100 million coins which will be liquid in the ecosystem for the payment structure. This will increase the demand for the coins resulting in an increased value.

Pay attention to the time it was posted.

The question is in what timezone does cryptocurrencytalk operate in and which post came first?
I initially thought he might be part of the team in some capacity but pay attention that he is asking "Are u gonna burn your coins?" and then quotes his own post to provide the one quoted above. This means he is not part of the team.

primetalentchain on BT and PRIME TALENT COIN on the other forum could be the same user but it's unlikely that primetalentchain would copy/paste posts from AliyaNasar for his own project!

Here is another one.

what is the use of skill communities?

With skill communities, the recruiters can access/contact the suitable candidates without intermediaries. The candidates in the skill communities are all background checked so the recruiter doesn’t have to spend time on vetting.

Again he is asking a question and answering it himself.

There could be more of these I didn't check any further.
13588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: I am looking for team member [pre determined] on: March 15, 2019, 09:28:56 PM
Please answer asche's questions. I am also interested in those.
The Onepager looks even worse to be honest. A bunch of sentences in the middle of the page broken up with no particular order, lots of empty rows...

@Rawoyemi
No need to quote the entire first post, I know what this thread is about.
Please read Rule #1 carefully.

Thanks
13590  Other / Meta / Re: What topics do you want to see here, and where should they be posted? on: March 15, 2019, 08:26:35 AM
I would like to see a brand new Bitcoin Discussion board with genuine discussions and not a spam fest. Opening the board and seeing 200+ replies everywhere I look is sad. Although it is getting a little better now but it is still not a place where I want to spend my time.
13591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever managed to recover your losses? on: March 15, 2019, 08:17:54 AM
I find it very difficult to recover losses and I am not trying to do it either. That usually leads to making even bigger losses. I like to compare the things I do with some of my friends and in that way see what is good and what is bad. When I lose I stand up and walk away. But a friend of mine feels like he has something to prove. When he losses he makes an even bigger bet on something else, anything... just for the sake of betting like he is trying to prove something. You can imagine the success of that...
13592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: March 15, 2019, 08:10:21 AM
There are two sides to every medal.
Casinos perform KYC to make sure that they know who is gambling on their site. Without KYC any minor could open an account and gamble. Online and offshore gambling is illegal in the US and the government doesn't allow US citizens to gamble online. That is why you can see that many online casinos don't accept US citizens.
On the other side people who don't want to do KYC want to remain anonymous. Maybe they even have something to hide - money laundering was mentioned by other users as one of the reasons. Underage gambling is another.
13593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My Transaction Still Pending After more than 2 Days now, 0 confirmation on: March 15, 2019, 07:53:27 AM
Sorry about this. This issue of clipboard is becoming a source of concern. I would always cross check my wallet address before finally hitting the send button. My question is even "how does one detect he has been attacked by such virus, and what is the precautionary measure to  ending it"?
If you are infected by a clipboard virus the address you paste when sending bitcoins will be a different one from the one you initially copied. You copied your address but the one that got pasted/entered into the field is that of an attacker.

That's why it is always important to check the address you are sending to several times. Even if you are not infected you can still make a mistake and forget to copy the last character of your address for example.
13594  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why would this issue happen? (regarding bitcoin wallet seed recovery) on: March 15, 2019, 07:38:10 AM
I did use Electrum on my own PC... which, as far as I can tell, is completely malware-free.
But what if it isn't? igor72 said potentially. The fact remains you entered your seed from your Ledger Nano S into a desktop wallet. Even if it is a signature verified Electrum obtained from the original source you still trusted it with your seed words. Have you verified the signature of your Electrum wallet?

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

Yes, if the extension is .wallet it was most probably associated with MultiBit or MultiBit Classic. Here is a confirmation of that - https://fileinfo.com/extension/wallet

13600  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [ASK] Custom Multisignature Wallet on: March 14, 2019, 10:01:32 AM
You need 3 people to create a 2/3 multisignature wallet for example. That means that 2 people would have to sign the transaction before the funds could be spent. Are you the only person that has access to these wallets? In that case it makes no sense to create a multisignature wallet.
