I'm curious. I have this desktop PC with an older AMD Radeon HD 6770 graphics card with 1GB of video memory that I would like to use to mine some crypto coins. I tried to mine Sia coin but now I'm curious if you know of any other coins that I can try mining with it?
Or, maybe a CPU mining. It has Intel Core i7 CPU with 4 physical cores running @ 2.8 GHz and also 16 GB of RAM.

for mining bitcoin, I don't think so but for mining other coins, I think yes you can. with that vga cards, I think you have many option to mining especially with the coins which have low difficulty. for easy step that you can do is you can try to visit nicehash and download the software and then you can try mining with your vga or the other ways, you can visit minergate and download the software and then click start the software. |

you cannot control bitcoin market and you cannot control everyone else mind. will they pump or will they dump? that is why you cannot control bitcoin volatility. it is very different in fiat where government will just release federal reserves if fiat is getting too weak.
Yeah , Futhermore they use media to make a fake news or a speculations for bitcoins price which affects a lot to the market .They can't control the volatility ,they only take advantage on social media to promote news .The price based on the investors who spend in bitcoins . Everything will come to an end when that will be more number of bitcoin users in action. Bitcoin adopters and in more particularly the people who are using bitcoins for daily life are very less in number that is the reason FUDs are still working. When we will be having bitcoin as mainstream momentary system, I believe we never need to worry about volatility of bitcoin prices anymore. when bitcoin user is getting bigger, then i think bitcoin will still volatile because bitcoin price is changing evertime because of supply and demand in market. bitcoin user following the price in the market and if they are buying product for their daily life, i think it is not make bitcoin price is stable. |

It doesnt help me, It curse me so much  I loss every time I made a deposit but somehow I win. I cannot consider gambling really helps me. It's only for past time/entertaining me when I bored. Now, I only play for free money. Never made a deposit again. I dont wanna lose my hard earn money again. In my own opinion bitcoin in the future will become a large earning industry in the Internet.
Today,bitcoin is on its way to develop new and wonderful things to make payments online much more easier, maybe in the near future almost all people will be using bitcoin as long as they have internet connection. Sure it's bound to happen that internet will be everywhere for us all in the near future and do the use of cryptocurrencies will be on the rise and so interest might be charged on Bitcoin loans and other things related to Bitcoin. once internet connection is available in every where, I am sure there will be many more people know bitcoin and they will join into bitcoin world like us. they will get many advantage from bitcoin and the most important is they can make money too like us. there will be more ways for bitcoin to be famous in all country and maybe in that time, bitcoin can be a currency that is supporting with offline and online life. |

I have no way to contact with them. the ticket system is so slow and their twitter account literally publish one sentence a month. They refused to gave users free steller lumens airdrop. Now I don't know if they will give us BCC after Aug. 1. any ideas?
I did not hear any poloniex information about bitcoin division. So, do not risk if they do not answer you. Currently, bittrex is the best place to store bitcoin. They accept the risk of bitcoin when it's split, so you should use it. I think soon poloniex will give statement or announce about this. but if poloniex rejected to give us bcc, then I am sure in other market will accept bcc and start to trade with other or maybe trade with bitcoin. many things can happen before 1st august, but the one thing that we can do is don't think too much about that so it can be bother our way in trading or anything else. |

it's ideal to hold eth too. it's selling price is high, tho it's a gamble.
i'm saying this because i'm holding both ETH and BTC
yup, I am still holding my eth and I am waiting the price. I think eth is still good altcoin among the others but the price is really expensive to buy, fortunately I've buy eth from lower price so I can sell in whatever price but I am still waiting high price. once again, I am sure eth will getting up and reach highest price like btc. |

Try at freebitcoin. I can't give you any good strategy just used the common strategy of Hi- Lo game that is quite related to dice game. Also try your luck on the lottery and the a chance to win a higher amount from their faucet. if the OP wants to try with freebitcoin then I am suggesting to be careful and only use money which he can afford. I can suggest like this because I have bad experience in the past and makes me lose the most bitcoin I have and I don't want other people have the same experience with me. first, you can try with small amount, do it for 3-5 times and if from that you can get all winning, then you need to stop right away and try again in next day. because if you continue, I guess you only get lose every thing you have like I did in the past. |

actually I am not buying bitcoin for the first time because I am earning bitcoin with free but after I am doing trading with fiat, then I am starting to buy and sell bitcoin. my motivation to buying bitcoin is I really want to make money like the others and I want to buy something with the money I earn from bitcoin. I think its interesting if we can buy in lower price and sell in high price so we can make a lot of profit.

I think if that was not your lucky day and all your bet are lose it's time for you to leave the game. There are a lot of ways on how to earn bitcoin. There is it that you can invest it, which means you'll be buying and holding it for a while till the time is ripe. But first of all, before you can earn bitcoin, you should atleast have some background and back up knowledge about bitcoin. Another way is buying it on ICO wherein you can sell it at higher price while the risky way is gambling, you should atleast prepare yourself from losing some before gaining it.
the only one thing I know to increase bitcoin amount is by trading which we can leverage our bitcoin to buy altcoin and selling in high price. i doing this many times and now my bitcoin is increase also but sometimes, if the price is down, i only waiting for the increasing of the price and not cut loss the coin. buying on ICO is another ways to increase our bitcoin but we need to select only a good ICO with reading their project and asked if we have a question. but we need to spend our bitcoin first before we can sell the token to get our bitcoin back and its follow with the price on the market. if the market price is down, then we can not make profit. |

I bought some eth a while ago and took my profit when it was ath.
I was thinking about buying again when it tanked that low (relative).
But now its back to 250...
I couldn't buy when it was 140.. because my fund were 'locked' in other coins which I dint want to sell (with losses).
I deposited more fiat to Kraken...
Buy now or will it tan again?

You should wait for some time to buy eth, first the current funds on other altcoins, waiting for eth stable down to buy, and long-term hold it. i think you are already missed the right time to buy eth yesterday when the price is down at 0.07xx because now the price is moving at 0.08xxx. but its still be good time to buy right now while the price is not to high and its because I see the trend is moving to go up although later maybe the price can get down again. but ethereum can be one of the good investment you can have in future so make sure you don't be late to buy. |

Well, for me I will probably buy some altcoins but I would never cash out my bitcoins because of the incoming Segwit. There's nothing to be panicked for because everything is gonna be alright. I'll try not to withdraw it and buy some altcoins because I need to see what would really happen during the Segwit or should I say I am experimenting what would really happens in that instance, just to be safe.
I totally agree with you, it's just wise to wait and hold your bitcoins and observe what happens after August 1. I don't think you'll forgive yourself after selling now and realizing a pump after August 1. So it will definitely pay to wait from my observations. i still holding my bitcoin although its not much and i am not cash out until right now because i want to waiting for 1st august. but if you still have more bitcoin then maybe you can buy more altcoin because i think it still best time to buy the altcoin while the price is in lower price. after you buy altcoin, you only need to waiting for the each pump of the altcoin. |

August 1 is just only a normal day to everyone, as far as no chain split or hard fork that will. Now the trending bip148 is over and segwit2x is the new trending news on bitcoin world.
i think the same as you and i am considering august 1 is normal day like the other day as i don't to worry about segwit2x or bip148 like many people read in many news. the best thing we can do is stay calm down, don't panic although the worst thing is happen, try to focus in trading if we are doing trading. but if we still want to know about the news especially about what next after bip148 and segwit2x applied, then we can continue to read in the website but don't take it too serious as we don't know the truth. |

i am not yet heard any bet frauds committed with cryptocurrencies although i am sure that in out there, maybe there is people or a group that doing this because we don't know what people reason for making transaction. and since making transaction in cryptocurrencies is anonymous, we still can not track where is the address destination. i think i don't know how to prevent this because once the transaction is made, then it will arrive in the destination wallet but maybe there is a way to prevent. |

Just to understand, I do not see the possibility of short selling on exchanges...
if you can not hold any longer, then maybe short is your best option so you can buy in lower price but for me, i think its good to still holding coins while the price is down and maybe i will buy in lower price again. or if you are trading in poloniex, you can find there is a lending option to lend your coin if you want to make another coins because i think it might be work for you. |

Hey folks! I just wonder, what is with Bitcoin that until now it is still in it's peak and still unbeatable. Has not any one ever invented a new/other currency that matches the value of bitcoin? And if there would be What should it take for a new currency for instance to match the value level of bitcoin? Has anyone here ever thought that a new currency more superior than bitcoin could come out one day and bitcoin value would decrease or fall?
bitcoin have all benefits than other coins, bitcoin was launched for the first time, people know bitcoin first than any other coins. bitcoin is like a bridge between real life and online life. bitcoin still don't have competitor until now and it still the strongest cryptocurrency ever. the other coins maybe have bright future like bitcoin but they really need much of time to beat bitcoin itself and they should make many innovations to compete with bitcoin. maybe in future, there are any of coin that will replace bitcoin but in that time, bitcoin is still be the leader for cryptocurrency and more people will use bitcoin. |

I agree with you, bitcoin and its upgrades became very confusing and I can't understand what is what. Trying to search it and listen from my forum friends. This is the easiest way I think. Articles are also very complicated to explain segwit and other things. i think you don't have to confuse with bitcoin as we know the price is volatile and change every time. if you read one article that makes you confuse, then you need to search another article and trying to compare between both and then you can find the different and sometimes you can find the truth behind the article. when I read the article, I don't thinking too serious about the topic and I am not really trusted 100% because every thing can change with or without article. I only believe from what I see in the market. maybe article will give impact for market but I am not thinking too much and I only need to find out more info about the topic. |

Youngsters are more involved in bitcoins and are earning in the best ways possible and the percentage of older generation would be very less in bitcoins as most of them would not be aware about bitcoins at a moment.
I don't think that being young necessarily means that you will be interested on bitcoin what it happens is that those that are older need to make safer investment since they do not have as much time to recover if they make a mistake in their investments, since I’m young I can afford to make a mistake or two in my investments so that is why I do not have a problem risking some of my money in crypto. I don't think that youngsters have big percentage in bitcoin world because I think maybe he is a young when he know bitcoin since 2010 and now he is not youngsters anymore. but I am agree that youngsters should know about bitcoin because they can use bitcoin for their future and since they are young age, they have the best investment which will give many of benefit in their future. they can hold bitcoin while they are in school or college, doing another investment to grow their bitcoin amount, doing trading or anything else so in the right time, when they want to sell their bitcoin, they really make big money because in that time, bitcoin price will be expensive. |
