1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 3 Reasons Why Cytpocurrency Gambling is more Addictive than Fiat Gambling! on: March 21, 2023, 10:08:40 AM
It is not like everyone is going after crypto gambling but after COVID-19 the business of online gambling has increased more than offline gambling. Although fiat online gambling users are more than crypto ones, they tend to visit an offline casino after a few online sessions as they miss the atmosphere of an offline casino.

Whereas cryptocurrency casino users would always be loyal & habitual which makes them more addicted to gambling than a fiat gamblers. Below listed are the three reasons which I think make them more inclined.

1. Immediate gratification:

One explanation could be the immediate and continuous enjoyment that bitcoin gaming offers, whether you win or lose. A cryptocurrency can be swiftly converted into fiat currency or other cryptocurrencies, as opposed to traditional gambling, which typically calls for cash or chips, what I am referring to here is offline gambling. This feeling of immediate satisfaction can increase excitement and encourage players to keep playing.

2. Anonymity:

The amount of privacy gained by gambling with cryptocurrencies is unbelievable! Non-KYC platform, which is common may make some people feel more secure since they can offer a level of secrecy and security that more traditional forms of gambling cannot. This sense of anonymity may make it easier for individuals to engage in risky or addictive behaviors without fear of being judged or identified.

3. Thrill of volatility:

We are all aware of how unpredictable the cryptocurrency market is, with prices varying quickly and erratically. Some people may become addicted to the "high-risk, high-reward" mentality as a result of this volatility. Even though it may result in severe financial loss, they may get high from taking chances and placing large wagers.

Do you guys think my assessment is to the point or do you think there are more reasons related to cryptocurrency gambling addiction? Please go ahead and reply to this thread. If you have a valid point that I think is related to this thread then I would add it to this topic.

Cryptocurrencies are generally unregulated by government agencies and have no central regulatory body. As a result, there is no official restriction. Which things attracted gamblers the most. Moreover, transactions are done depending on the blockchain technology, so gamblers have full confidence in crypto gambling. Moreover, unpredictable fluctuations in crypto-currency prices are one of the reasons why the industry is becoming increasingly attractive to gamblers.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Difficulties with MyBookie.com on: March 21, 2023, 09:52:48 AM
Does anybody else use this site and have you ever had problems with them? They also go by mybcasino.ag; I looked them up and they're the same entity.

I had been using them for about a year and a half without any problem, did a couple of withdrawals, but then I got hot during the NFL playoffs, won my Super Bowl bet, and now they've disabled my account b/c they didn't like that I was withdrawing to a new BTC address (the reason support gave to me, basically).

After doing a bit of research I'm not prepared to call them scammers yet. The only way they will help me resolve my issue and re-enable my account is if I call their help line, which I can't do b/c I'm out of the country and it says "invalid number" whenever I try to call.

Guess I need to figure out how 1-844 numbers from outside the US, even though I have a US phone number.

The irony is I at one point acknowledged the have an "awful reputation" but then totally forgot about it:

Sorry about the experience. It's definitely my first time hearing about the casino (would you mind sharing its link?)

There is nothing much members here can do to help recover your money especially if you deposited in crypto.

https://mybcasino.ag/

I was surprised by the title of this thread as MyBookie is a pretty bigtime operation; of course their URL is different:

https://mybookie.ag/

Turns out the casino is owned by MyBookie, at least according to this review.

They advertise on a few podcasts I listen to... they spend a lot of money on advertising, too bad the hosts don't know they have such an awful reputation.

For whatever reason I forgot about my comment before making a deposit there.  Roll Eyes

Anybody ever have similar issues with them?

Only one number is given to contact with them. If there were some other means of communication, maybe a better solution would have been found on the matter. If you can contact them and if they take that step it would be better otherwise i can consider this kind of behavior as a scam. They should have at least mail communications system that you can keep as evidence. I have never fallen in such a situation where only direct contract number is given to solving any issue.
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 21, 2023, 09:36:13 AM
Zimbabwe will bat first against Netherlands, after the Dutch captain (Scott Edwards) sent them to bat. The Dutch bowling attack looks very experienced, with a number of county players representing them this time (Paul van Meekeren, Brandon Glover and Fred Klaassen). They have included one spinner (Shariz Ahmad) as well. The Africans are on the backfoot now, after losing the captain Craig Ervine in the third over to Klaassen. Both the teams are out of contention in the ODI Super League, but a win will help both of them to avoid the last place.

Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl. And they are bowling very well. Zimbabwe lost 5 wickets in 15 overs. They managed to collect only 81 runs. But Sikendar Raja is still at the crease. He is Zimbabwe's most experienced batsman. With him at the crease, Zimbabwe can rack up big scores. If Zimbabwe can score 200 runs, the match will be very competitive.

West Indies are now batting against South Africa. The performance of their batsmen in the second match was excellent. So they were able to win. Hopefully West Indies will be able to deliver a big score target today.
The Zimbabwean team is in disaster at their own venue. It is not yet possible to say how the Zimbabwean team is looking at this miserable situation in the first match of the series because the first innings has not yet ended. The top-order batsmen and the captain himself completely failed to stand stay on the pitch against the Netherlands. Sikandar Raza ,Innocent Kaia, Craig Ervine and Gary Ballance's low scores could be one of the reasons for the team's defeat.

Almost all of the Dutch bowlers except Colin Ackermann have picked up wickets. The score is 135 in 29 overs and now they have with 3 wickets. But with those wickets, the Zimbabwean team can give an innings of 200 runs? Otherwise they will lose the match.

1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / The journey of successful business man who were professional gamblers on: March 16, 2023, 09:56:41 AM
There are some people who can dream and some others who dare to it. Many of those who can dream big but some times can't make it through traditional platforms. Today I will mention the names of some people who started their business life with the help of gambling money. Who were initially professional gamblers later became reputed businessman. Many of whom are now active philanthropists, supporting various charities. If responsible gambling can be practiced then luck can be expended. He can make himself known differently in a shortest possible of time.

Some professional gamblers and their business

Sheldon Adelson- The founder of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Kirk Kerkorian- He founded MGM Resorts International, the airline company and  Trans International.

Steve Wynn- He founded Wynn Resorts, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Las Vegas.

Calvin Ayre- Founder of Bodog Entertainment.

Terry Benedict- Founder of BJB Properties.

Tony Bloom- Founder and owner of the Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club and.

Phil Ruffin- Treasure Island Hotel, a casino in Las Vegas and the Wichita Greyhound Park.

If one tries to change the destiny he may succeed or fail but he may get a result. But there are many people in the world who only dream inactively without taking any initiative.

But one should keep in mind that gambling is a risky platform. As there are lot of histories of victory, there will be defeats as well. Use gambling money as much as you can afford to lose.

1371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I invest my 60% savings in Bitcoin? on: March 08, 2023, 07:46:40 AM
Bitcoin has a good chance in the future, the trend of investing in bitcoin which has been popular since 2011 has made many people new millionaires, even I have seen a wallet that has stored bitcoins since 2010 and sold around 100 btc from 2016 to 2022, the owner of the wallet it says that at that time he was selling a car and buying about 2500 btc from 2010 to 2013.
This is how some people will achieve their goals with Bitcoin and there will be others who will only regret it. Because not many people get the opportunity to buy Bitcoin. I personally took a position to buy Bitcoin at $3000 but couldn't buy at that price in hopes of a further dip. A moment I will never forget. Likewise those who wait longer with Bitcoin today may lose the ability to buy Bitcoin on demand. If an investor can invest in Bitcoin after researching the current market and planning to hold it for a long time then it is worth investing and OP can invest 100% instead of 60% if he wants. But it is important to hold bitcoins according to the goal.
1372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time is the most valuable thing on: March 08, 2023, 06:19:47 AM
I have lived most of my life working all day, the only free day I have is on Sundays, whenever I promised my cousins a visit on holidays I always fail, I have no time to go on holidays and I always end up making less money, with all the hard work.

Many people are into crypto for materialistic things, like cars, houses, etc but the best Gift I have attained from Bitcoin investment is free time, to live my life, finally.

Bitcoin investment makes me feel alive once again, after so many years of a nonstop workaholic life, now I have enough time to think, travel, rest, go on holidays, spend time with families and still make more money than I used to when I was a workaholic.

Now I can do everything I have always wanted, time is not on anyone's side and if you spend all your days on some hard jobs working and working you won't notice how fast time is running and you will age so fast in the process.

I remember I got so sick after going from one job to another, I ended up spending a lot of money on my health, I got so thing and my immune system got drained too, you might end up making millions and spending half of that to get back in shape, always remember, health is wealth.

Whatever you do, make sure you live your life like someone who is truly alive and breathing, if you are in any hard jobs that's draining your life away right in front of your eye, you need to put a stop to it.

I want all the good flashy things in life but the best gift I have now is free time, and Bitcoin makes this possible, I don't know about others and I can't talk for others but, to me, Bitcoin is Freedom.

Time is money and money is freedom!! The great thing about Bitcoin is the sheer freedom to do with your money as you please. I’m my current position I was laid off from my job. I am reassured because of Bitcoin that everything will be fine no matter what. In fact not having my job right now is making me realize so much how my time is so valuable. The time I’ve been able to spend with my family and to go about my day at my own leisure is truly a privilege to few, certainly not the working class. Although I have a cushion it won’t last forever, but in a sense it is very nice to be able to buy some time so to speak. Whilst I wait for unemployment to kick in while I search for a new job, or better yet create my own.
Bitcoin not only gives people financial freedom it also gives people great freedom of time. A jobber may earn some money but he has to spend a certain amount of time every day. As a result, if he wants to do something according to his wishes, he fails most of the time. He cannot give that time to his family even if he wants to. Besides, he naturally doesn't want to do anything on weekends. Thus he spends most of his life. But once a day that smiling face will be seen by those who dream of Bitcoin. The great thing is that by keeping it under your control, you can spend your time doing other things. Those who planted the Bitcoin seedling 10 years ago may have become completely independent of time and money today.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 08, 2023, 06:01:30 AM
No matter what anyone say, gambling can never be a source of livelihood for anyone. Anyone who gambles must already have an alternative source of income where he get the money he or she uses to wager on any game.
The only sets of persons who may decide to pick up gambling to "earn a living" are Trust fund babies who are living off the wealth of their parents. Because this is absolutely unsustainable. Anyone who claims they are doing it must be lying.
There couple people that their source of income at first was gambling but it was just lucky and put up businesses as they know that gambling is not sustainable . For sure you've seen any documentary about professional gamblers earning huge and winning huge. They are really earning from gambling but again for sure it is not sustainable that is why they invested into businesses to continue their wealth and gamble. Gambling is just bonus in our life if we win but we still need to have stable income like work so that we have money to use to bet and if got lucky and won then it is bonus money to us.

Yes, that is the truth. One thing is to consider where a gambler gets his money when he starts gambling, he must have some source of income. Here one can say that money can be borrowed. That's right too. However, if you gamble once with borrowed money and lose, you will not be able to borrow again the second or third time. How someone will manage gambling at the moment? Here I mean that a gambler must make a living from other sources and is motivated to earn extra money from gambling. No one consider living depending on it. A reliable income is definitely needed to manage life.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of holding Bitcoin in time of crisis on: March 08, 2023, 05:45:48 AM
The role of Bitcoin in our today's society that is living with high inflation rate which is ravaging across the world and robbing off people the value of their money, is something that holding Bitcoin has come to serve as a solution and as a save heaven. Now people have alternative way to move away from depending on the old Fiat bank system and total government control of their money to being in control of their own money , using Nigeria as a case study where the citizens are currently not allowed to have full access of their had earned money is something insane. Therefore someone who has like 50- 70% of his money stored in Bitcoin would not be much affected. The existence of Bitcoin has huge advantage in today's world.
Bitcoin already served its essential obligation to the citizens who embrace it with all their minds. Holding Bitcoin have saved me countless times in the act of generating profits within the hardships of the country economy. Nigeria are trying to redesignate the new currency into circulation, and that alone is causing chaos in the country with majority of Nigerians protesting and kicking against it, because the government have already made crucial ban on cryptocurrency and consider it as illegal means, but some people still go ahead and do what makes them happy and going in the space by providing the Peer to Peer also known as P2P for buying and selling of crypto assets.
If the Nigerian government observe the impact of Bitcoin as negative and wants to turn the public against Bitcoin, it could be a big mistake for that government. Because it is a decentralized system that any government can not control it but it would be better for that government to take good initiative to control it. As we have seen it happened in India. India is said to be a potential country for cryptocurrency. The government initially strongly opposed it, but later allowed its use. The Nigerian government should also consider how to regulate its positive sites. It should be remembered that the demand for bitcoins is constantly increasing worldwide, so no decision should be taken that people reject.
1375  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: March 07, 2023, 07:52:15 AM
Here is a quote that I find particularly amusing:

Quote
"A man's gotta make at least one bet a day, else he could be walking around lucky and never know it."Horace A. "Jimmy" Jones
This quote is a playful and humorous way of expressing the idea that taking risks is a part of life, and that by not taking risks, one might miss out on potential opportunities. It's suggesting that it's important to take risks and try new things in life, to discover what the fate holds for you.
This is absolutely true. It is important for all to the take risks. If a person could take risks according to his ability, his luck would at least be examined, even if he didn't get much. He would probably remain ignorant of whether there was anything in his destiny. Moreover, taking risks can either worsen or improve your current situation. Certainly there is also a lot of excitement in taking such risks. Remember that fortune changes only for those who know how to take risks.
1376  Economy / Reputation / Re: SBF-Ross Ulbricht on: March 07, 2023, 07:21:31 AM

The nature of world politics has changed exceptionally in recent times. Where politicians use crime as their tool. in consequence of big criminals do not hesitate to commit various kinds of big crimes under that political shadow. In order to punish them, the political shadow must be dismantled. At present big criminals are getting off because of various weaknesses of the law despite committing crimes in public which does not bode well at all. Even if a criminal is caught today, they are not punished. As a result, new criminals are being created consistently. If the level of crime increases, then what is the need for law or administration? I think the two men should be given a punishment that scares people away from the heinous crime. SBF and Ross Ulbricht  both are egregious offenders. None of them should be exempted.
1377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: March 07, 2023, 06:34:25 AM
so I wan to know if it's right for the person to begin trading?
Trading can be difficult and risky, particularly for beginners. It necessarily requires knowledge, experience, and expertise. It is critical to carry out research, begin with a demo account, and create a solid trading plan and risk management strategy.

Trading entails risks, and there is no assurance of success. Trading should be approached seriously, not as a game of chance, with realistic expectations and a willingness to accept both profits and losses.
In case of a new trader, it is necessary to acquire knowledge on various subjects. But in all these traders it is not possible to acquire that knowledge. Because in many people that kind of interest does not work or many people are impatient. But patience is one of the few important aspects of a trader. Traders who are not interested in learning about various aspects of trading such as indicators, chart patterns etc. may drop out in a short period of time. There are many who lack knowledge but they continue to trade and once a time they will also leave the platform. That is why gaining knowledge is most important factor in trading life.

A new trader takes interest in trading and he thinks that trading will make profit but he has no idea about loss. Many don't pay attention to the risk, when he loses he realizes his mistake. However, such obstacles will come regularly. And when you can overcome all these obstacles through gathering knowledge, you will be able to identify yourself as a trader.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 07, 2023, 05:58:48 AM
Bitcoin price is constantly being discussed and researched. Recently we have seen some light in a bearish market. While the global situation is quite bad, the effects of the economic recession have not yet subsided. At that time the bullish trend of Bitcoin naturally indicated its positive side. Bitcoin fell to $16,600 just as it was expected to be more bearish, but it has once again turn to bullish and  surged 40 percent. The macro backdrop also played a supportive role as the Federal Reserve cut its interest rate hikes this month. Currently, if an investor wants to hold Bitcoin for a short period of time, he will get the profit. But there is no need to take that kind of risks. Now if one plans to hold BTC for long term then he can reach his goal before the expected time.
1379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Heading Back To $23,000? on: March 07, 2023, 05:32:51 AM
Happy because we have moved away from $ 23k and hopefully we can reach $ 25k today Today Bitcoin will touch $ 25k after almost 9 months under $ 25k, if the price of $ 25k can be achieved today, of course the opportunity to continue to rise is even greater, it is natural that many people are sure if this year can make New Ath at the $ 85K level, of course The price of $ 85K will not occur in 1 or 2 months, but gradually and maybe in October or November will make a new record.
In recent times, Bitcoin has increased by almost 40 percent compared to the previous period. A kind of positive movement has also started among the investors. But since that stage, Bitcoin has gradually moved downward again. Various candlesticks still look positive. As the MACD continues to flash and show bullish signal, it could turn bullish again, but if the market pull back then it could be  $21500 as the next support level. As the bearish volume is increasing, the market is likely to rise. But we have to follow and wait for the next signal. Depending on that a better idea of BTC movement can be obtained. But now it is not possible to guess that cross the previous ATH.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: March 06, 2023, 07:33:48 AM

Maybe we don't expect to see AI predicting matches but if that's the case in the future, we can't do anything about it and can only accept it. After all, today's AI technology is not as perfect as desired, so the parties involved still have to work harder to achieve the desired results. Maybe later, AI will provide the probability of opportunities that a competing team can obtain, and it will be up to us how we can choose the team.

Meanwhile, collecting more valid data may still need us because we are the ones who will choose the stakes.

It would be a little absurd to expect artificial intelligence to make predictions about match results. But it can give us some clues. For example, when a team that scores a goal with a counter attack and a team that concedes a goal from a counter attack are matched, it may be enough to give us a warning. I am hopeful for this technology. I think it will help us in all areas. It can also give us some clues about the results of the matches.
Here one can get some advantages but those advantages may not be very effective in your winning. because any player's absence or injury, pitch condition, etc. are the factors that are not included in their algorithm. I don't think they have any good research on those things. Moreover, if you ask them today about the match that took place yesterday, you will not get that answer exactly. So predicting a win based on this eye is nothing but foolishness. Moreover, when they are asked about this phenomenon, they admit that they are incompetent and then provide a result.
