1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: November 02, 2023, 08:27:01 PM
I doubt that by teaching any child in any country about blockchain related finances including crypto is a crime. If they learn about Bitcoin while they are young it will be in their mindset as a seamless process just as teaching them about fiat. If a parent or school curriculum does not (or does not want to) teach about it, that is a different matter altogether.

Actually If you read carefully you'll observe I used the word force, by forcefully teaching a child, it means the child in the first place did not buy the idea of learning Bitcoin, so you are depriving the child the right to make free decisions. Besides I came across this PDF file that did some explaining to proof that such countries that practice these laws exits.
Quote
Children have a right to participate by expressing their opinions on decisions that affect their lives

Well  I don’t think you need you to force anything on somebody, everyone should be given the right to choose what ever they want to do.  They is no need to force Bitcoin in anyone as we know not everyone will succeed in bitcoin investment.

In my country our custom demands that a child must be obedient and respect his/her parents decision. So I think as children they are not mature enough to make good financial decision for themselves, they need some one to guard them so they'll not go astray. Even the 2024 US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy bought 14BTC for his kids, so I believe he knows the importance of Bitcoin before he could make such a huge financial decision for them.
1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: November 02, 2023, 04:40:04 PM
In my own opinion, forcing a child to learn Bitcoin might be against some countries' laws, but in my country, forcing your own child is common, because we see it as a means of giving good directives to our children. These things happen every day, especially when the child is in his/her teenage age. They feel like they are adults who can be responsible for making some serious life decisions. Bitcoin is the future of cryptocurrency. Anyone who fails to dive into it when they have the opportunity will surely have regrets tomorrow, so at first forcing a  child to learn Bitcoin might seem too rude or wicked  as a parent, but, as time progresses later, I bet the child will thank you later in the future. And besides, teaching your child Bitcoin doesn't mean his/her life or career.
1364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help? on: November 02, 2023, 03:49:43 PM
I saw so many forum users talking about using bitcoin for trade to generate profit for investors. The point of correction, Bitcoin investment is not for those who would go back in a few days to sell their coin, it is for those who know the value of the coin. They are investing in the volatility of Bitcoin. It is indeed a serious demerit for traders, especially for those poor people who would take investment as their source of income because the price doesn't just rise, there are times where the price just tends to move sideways or in a bearish movement, so for those who depend only on investment for survival, Bitcoin is not the coin for you!!

From the topic: Can Bitcoin help? My answer is YES. There are other ways Bitcoin can help, not just for trading purposes alone. El Salvador is the first country to accept Bitcoin as a legal tender, its economy is doing well as Bitcoin itself has driven so many people to go for touring, so they can experience a condition where Bitcoin is not restricted or banned.
1365  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will Nigerians Marketers Accept Bitcoin if Legalized on: November 02, 2023, 09:52:10 AM
Normally I believe my country say, e no get watin we nor go fit to survive, and as e don dey reach exmas period you go observe say bank network go come start to dey fail, and times like this you go see say na for there those wey nor accept Bitcoin for transfer go suffer well well, and wen once some thing dey trend for naija we all no say na every where e dey reach both the old and young dey feel the impact.

Just like the example wey Mr Hewlet talk that period plenty marketer been dey do strong head say dem no go accept but by the time wey their perishable goods com start to dey spoil na there their mind dey, dem con start to accept transfer for market. So i believe say if the government remove the restriction e no go hard for our marketers to accept, the only disadvantage I dey consider wey go really affect this dream na be say, Bitcoin dey volatile and that one fit make marketers loss for business if the coin go down wen dey go to buy new goods, this na very big issue wey dey ground like this.
1366  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin study. on: November 02, 2023, 06:47:19 AM
the rate wey people dey complain about low Bitcoin adoption, I dey think say if Dem introduce Bitcoin as a course of study for our institution, say people go adopt am wella.

Wetting dey make Bitcoin adoption dey  slow na because most people no dey educated on Bitcoin. Bitcoin too Dey broad or vast to just be wetting person go learn for street.

Actually person fit just do self study learn bitcoin, so e no need plenty guide to take understand wattin e be provided say the person serious and e get smartphone wey fit browse the internet, the only part I recommend tutoring na for the technical aspect, that one na no go area before person go sabi that one well he gats pay money to correct expert make them for fit explain wella provided say the person no too know about programming. To my opinion I go say no be knowledge be  everything, plenty people know about Bitcoin but to adopt am naim be the coco wey go show say that person don really dey practice wattin e learn, knowing about Bitcoin alone no go add anything to the adoption until the person buy, I also think say reason why all these people wey get the knowledge never still start to dey adopt na be say is either dem no get money or dem dey invest their money for altcoins. The amount of altcoins and token wey dey market too many google sa na about 22,903 so just imaging this amount of coin dey in existence how people won take focus their investment for bitcoin, and another thing wey I observe na be say majority of crypto users wey me don see for naija na more of traders/short term investors than long term investors, and we know say all the traders na just sharp sharp profit dem dey find.

But the fact still clear say Bitcoin price go sky rocket well well  🚀 and many people go still talk say how wish they bought Bitcoin in this our stage as we sef dey talk am now about the early stage of those first Bitcoin investor.

Normally this thing wey you talk follow join wattin dey make some people never still put body for bitcoin dem dey feel like say the price don too go up dem nor no say in the nearest future dem go still regret of now, and because of the current price of bitcoin naim dey still give dem confidence say other altcoins too go one day raise like BTC.
1367  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The application of DIP and hodl in our local business. on: November 02, 2023, 05:46:26 AM
Op thank you very much to carry this kind matter come board, this thing wey you talk na wattin dey play almost every day for area, for I dey stay  we get enough ogbolor trees and within the period of April, may, june and july na so you go see plenty people wey dey go find the one wey don fall for ground around 5:00am after dem don do everything dem go dry am, den store am for the rainy season and dry season till e go reach those month of harvest again, and once e don pass e season markter don add price on top to show scarcity, another one wey dey and I for like make person wey get money go into na buying of land, land na of the natural asset wey I no say if you buy am today sell am tomorrow the price no be thesame, the more developed the place dey na the more the land dey cost, person wey buy land for bush and after 3 years when development don reach that side the price of that land fit give you x2 of watin you take buy am sef.
But I go like advise say any product wey get too many competition and wey dey likely to get frequent update for market nor follow oo, nor too reason dem because dem their price dey always tend to go down rather than to go up example na phone, car, TV, etc. If the country nor dey suffer better inflation.
1368  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: It pays to be humble on: November 02, 2023, 05:18:15 AM
You see any thing concerning apprenticeship, humility should be the first aim of the apprentice, humility is the only thing that could make the master lick out enough information to his apprentice, so even in this forum I urge every one to be humble so the blessings of our boss would not depart from us. Even in the Holy Bible it teaches us to be humble in 1 Peter 5:6 "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time" same for anything that has higher authority over you, if we refuse to stay humble to higher authorities then we plan for destruction. No boss would be happy his boy is not humble to him, just as DaNNy001 said all masters has secrets to teach and for that secret to be taught to his student they have to earn it by showing their seriousness and humility.
So my advise to newbies abeg this period our boss dem dey pepe, make we no go do watin go make dem give our account negative tag our even report us to moderator, e no go nice for us if we start to get issues with higher authority for this forum and precisely our naija board, if we humble ourselves you go see say e nor go tay before we go grow our account to take dey get one or two.
1369  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Nigerian street pranks and its effect. on: November 02, 2023, 04:41:32 AM
I have even stopped watching some of these prank video online, because I see no reason why a fellow human being would take a joke so far that it can even give someone an instant increase in high blood pressure which could lead to death, I remember one prank video I watched, it was created by untouchable comedies whereby he scammed a nollywood  actress Destiny Etikok by displacing a dead corpse in her car boot, and someone was pressuring her to report to the police, if you saw her reaction you would observe that they went too far, after that prank she refused to talk to dem as she was angry and never liked prank in the first place, they still went further to prank her by buying a car to make up for the emotional damage they caused, at the end it was all prank. Indeed some prank has lead to the destruction of relationship between couples, fiancee etc.
I don't support risky pranks, so I don't find them entertaining, before a person could recover from such an emotional prank it could take up to a month, and after that I don't think our relationship would be effective any longer because you broke my trust, how am I not sure such person would do a lot more worse than this. Another thing again, some of this content creator if you observe very well are just acting movies, untouchable comedies taught me that. After all the quarrel he got from his boy, the end story was a complete mess, and because of that I stopped watching frank comedies.

1371  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do not invest in Bitcoin with a borrowed money on: November 01, 2023, 10:36:57 AM
if you want to invest in Bitcoin I think that you should use what you can be able to afford to loss for the investment.

i no see any reason wey go make person borrow money take invest, because payback time dey always look difficult and I never see any post wey dey advice person to use loan take do investment, not to even talk of Bitcoin, person wey use borrowed money take invest I see am as better gambler, this na one of the reason dem say make person gather enough knowledge before em enter into bitcoin investment so that e no go make all this anyhow mistake dem. The volatility of Bitcoin suppose to even make the person fear especially if the person come go invest when the market wan approach the dip, if person make that kind terrible mistake e go suffer well well em.
1372  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The expensive carelessness of the police in our interstate border on: November 01, 2023, 09:17:15 AM
A very bad mess indeed if this is actually same thing that happens in our interstate boarder as everything you don talk here so far na exactly wetin Dey go on for our country but my Oga I no think say writing in plain English language na the best option at this point wey we get plenty externals wey Dey the board and this alone the send a very wrong and bad signal to other strangers or torrist wey maybe Dey use style observe talks from this board but and this alone for make them feel very discouraged but is just the bitter truth and I still wonder why our boarder Dey porous like this but yet things still Dey cost Abi na only humans no get restrictions to enter as long as you fit pay 200

Well done Mr Obari because na my mind you just talk so, our language to the externals dey some how anonymous because we never get translator, so na kind of advantage for us to take dey discuss coded issues. All this kind of topics dem no need to use English take write dem make we no go gbolo our cover, like this na cast we just dey cast our country for others " no be say na our own bad pass oo" and e nor good. Apart from sending bad signal to tourist, like this u don sell useful information give people wey get bad intention like kidnapping, robbery and drug trafficking, I go advise make u for translate this topic to pidgin.
To the topic info, omor our olokpa dem dey fuvk up, only dem naim use their mouth say bail is free but that una big lie, when dem been arrest my brother because of mass arrest activity wey dem been carry out, in the morning wey we go to bail am na 25k we pay before dem release am.
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that are good for long hodling in this season. on: November 01, 2023, 06:00:54 AM
any new promising project are also good for long hold.  If we can find a good project with huge potential, it can possibly give us a life-changing profit if we happen to be one of the pioneer of that promising project.

I am not in support of your comment, new projects should be observed carefully before making a huge sum of investment into them, as we don't know the result or the behavior the coin will exhibit after a while. In my own opinion I would say new coins are not to be used for long term holding and mind the amount you invest in it, as sudden disappointment are not always handle with the right state of mind, so please avoid Anything that might lead to depression after your trusted system disappoints you.
Another thing to also consider before diving into new altcoins holding is that most times these coins are very volatile, so decision to make a long term holding should also be centered on the behavior of the coin and especially when it makes any new good developments.
1374  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Educating Nigerians about Bitcoin on: October 31, 2023, 11:51:51 PM
Op you don do well to bring this kind of important topic for us to discuss, the knowledge of bitcoin suppose spread for everywhere for we country so that even the government go no say  em citizens dem take am serious, because I believe naija, any thing wey we love must trend all over the country even the world if possible, and if bitcoin knowledge trend well well for the country, e go be like say we push our government for thight corner to make legal decision to remove the restriction. Mr knowngunman I  no too blame you because of the way you attack the op, for area wey I dey stay if you ask person about Bitcoin dem go tell you say na something wey if you put N1000 e go grow within short period of time to N10,000. Dem think say Bitcoin be like those normal ponzi scheme dem wey dey grow money then crash after a while, false information of Bitcoin naim dey trend for my area even when you try to educate person wey don make up em mind e nor dey easy for the person wey dey do the talking/teaching.
1375  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mining possibility in Nigeria on: October 31, 2023, 11:03:03 PM

@Charles-Tim, @Odohu, we get mining farms for Nigeria ooo and not only that dem dey sell mining machines for Naija, Asic s9i na N550,000 while Antminer s17pro na N3,200,000. I for no believe say people go fit dey run mining for Nigeria until I stumbled on an advert wey Ola of Lagos do for a mining dealer in Nigeria, dem come also show some mining farms wey dey here for Nigeria cold come catch. Make we no dey here dey assume upadan while people dey make money for Nigeria. Although, I no agree with some of the information for the video below.

https://fb.watch/o1cuEk4eov/

https://www.instagram.com/p/CicGPwGNhn7/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

Thanks bro, this na very important update wey you bring come board so, like this you don revive my hope of making bitcoin mining, I been get the zeal to mine bitcoin but the chipping and other fees come discourage me, buy like this I just dey get joy because hope dey and one day I go start to my bitcoin mining. Just as Odohu talk say some place for Nigeria dey provide steady light, na true be that I don also confirm one community for southern ijaw wey the multinational company for there dey provide light 24:7 for them. The only back draw wey I observe na be say transportation of equipment no easy as e be say the community na island and no be all sim network dey work there, though that one no be major problem sha, the capital to use take start niam go come be the next wahala, just as dem give price so, to buy mining machine wey get high computing power up to THs dey very expensive and dem dey cost up to a million naira.
1376  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make We Dey Clean the Board from Shit/Spam Posters: Report Dem Here on: October 31, 2023, 05:43:15 PM
Once once the question dey enter my mind say " abi na so our local board go dey? " because with all this spam posting theymos nor go even reason our matter, the one wey pain me pass na that Mohbad death thread wey been reach about 4 different thread and dem dey talk about thesame thing, newbies abeg make una try do more reading than posting so that una go learn well the fact say dem go tag our board as spamming board no be good thing, so abeg make we try improve in our post quality. I just dey imaging the pain wey our boss dem dey pass through to dey see how we don dey use our own hand take dey destroy our local board wey dem fight for. My boss dem abeg make una no vex, I see say una don dey take very good action by archiving some shitpost that una very good one, with this I believe say e go make people respect their self.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: October 31, 2023, 03:54:06 PM
My answer won't be any different from the others, the centralized and decentralized exchanges has both their merit and demerits, and the choice of using them is based on what you intend to do. For short term holding a decentralized exchange is always recommended so as to keep security and watch over your coins and asset's private keys. While centralized exchange on the other hand is know for its lighting transactions features but, it shouldn't be used for long term holding due to trust issues. I find it more easy to make deposits into a centralized exchange than that of a decentralized exchange, and with all my observations I see the both of them very useful with their different features.
1378  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Waste of money can be utilise in another source on: October 31, 2023, 03:18:19 PM
Op you have spoken well I like the fact that see bitcoin investment profitable than smoking, gambling and drinking, I will also want to appreciate you for being specific with the investment, because some shitcoin investment is even worse than smoking and drinking. Some shitcoin coin investment has lead to depression which caused a person his life by committing suicide after his entire investment crashed. Shitcoins are just imitation of bitcoin, gambling addition is the worst thing that can ever happen to a man even when he has the intention of investing the persuasive spirit of gambling would make him throw away all his investment. While smoking and drinking is a form of investing into your life to create bad health conditions as time progresses.i
1379  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What to do with 1 BTC as a Nigerian on: October 31, 2023, 02:56:06 PM
first of all op i go like make you follow our boss recommendation to link this thread to the original thread wey bring out this idea. you be newbie and e no go hard for make dem delete or ban your account for this forum, and if dem do so u go lost both the small merit wey you don try gather.

to the main discussion, the price of bitcoin converted to our currency naira, dey up to about 44 million plus+ as and that na very huge sum of money wey if person package well e fit use am create better investment for em life wey e nor go poor again. 44 million fit set up better super store, small transportation company etc
