1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to enter the market and buy altcoins? on: January 11, 2022, 09:14:33 PM
Whenever there's a considered dip, it's a good buy.

But, there are people that don't considered the dips to be a good buy because they're looking always at the top. They want as if the market will recover there and reach the ATH again.

They're used to that because they saw the ATHs twice and that made them think that they're only going to buy if they see the recovery.
I guess we all have our own preference and as long as it still works, than that would be fine. But If you come to think of it, its not all the time that bitcoin's ATH will come twice a year, mostly it happens only once. So it will be better if we can start buying bitcoin and altcoins in the dip, because it gives us more chances to create bigger profits and higher chances to earn. But if you will stick to your own plan, you might still get profits but the assurance is very slim.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A quick reminder from Eric Adams, mayor of the City of New York. on: January 11, 2022, 08:51:00 AM
I think all of us who invest in Bitcoin for the long term are clear about that. If the price goes down, we have a better opportunity to buy, what happens is that we like it to go up to see that the value of what we already have invested goes up.
No mate, don't generalize it. In reality, not every person buys Bitcoin to hold for the long term. I myself bought Bitcoin for both the long term and the short term. For short-term targets, I am quite careful to determine the time for buying since I don't want to be trapped on the fake bullish. Although many experts still believe Bitcoin has a chance to create another ATH, there is no guarantee the scenario will be as expected. Also, not every dump or decrease is the right time to buy. The price can even drop more and harder to increase again, especially once it is confirmed at the beginning of the bearish season.

The problem is, none of us can determine if it will be the deepest value for bitcoin and that is why people some people prefer to buy in every dip. But if you think the value will fall even more, the you should wait for it and might miss the present opportunity.

However, this present correction is definitely a good opportunity to buy more and fill in our portfolio, and not that we should develop fear and panic selling whenever bitcoin and altcoins are bleeding.
1363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: January 10, 2022, 09:22:39 PM
I'm not sure I'd say we're in a bear market yet.  This still seems like correction territory to me.  Granted, it's closer to bear market territory than I'd like it to be.  We're still in the comfort zone at the moment though.  I think things will start getting uncomfortable around $39K and below that will feel like a bear market.  At the moment though we could be in a trading range between $42.0K & $69K.  Until that breaks, this could be viewed as a buying opportunity.  Especially seeing the sentiment in the market expecting it to drop further.  The bulls have been liquidated enough, there should be some bears on the menu before long.

Neither I. Actually was waiting for a bounce now that 200MA is pretty much under heavy, heavy stress, but I guess it's not coming until (or if) 40k is tested, which I thought would happen yesterday/today.

Like you said though, I'm much happier seeing visible sentiment in fear, unlike not so long ago when everyone was expecting big things on 31 December.
Well, if this correction will move down to its bearish season, then i don't think we should develop fear because of the serious dump. Probably, weak hands do but never for those who had experienced this market dumps a lot of times. Because if we look at its brighter side, if bitcoin will drop further, then we can buy a whole bitcoin since it becomes affordable now. And also, there are a lot of good altcoins that are waiting for us to fill in in our portfolio so definitely, this will be a good start to buy potential coins for long term hodling.
I am thinking that we are still in a correction but i know after this, we will also end up having a bear market. So since this is also part of the cycle, then we should not worry seeing the market all in red as this signifies that there is bigger opportunity to buy now with high discounted coins. And its a perfect time to accumulate more promising coins that we think will be more profitable in the future. So just enjoy the ride while opportunity is in front of us.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Have we opened the bear season? on: January 10, 2022, 08:00:21 PM
If the market is in a downturn in the price of coins and chooses to sell coins in general, that's a wrong concept. It should be when the coin price is down we increase the number of coins in the portfolio. Because market conditions can definitely change and will not forever fall, and vice versa.

This is just one of the cryptocurrency trading strategies. If someone is convinced that the price will go down, he can sell the entire contents of the wallet to buy more coins after the price drops. Of course, it's very risky, but it can also be very profitable. It's very possible this is the start of a long bear market, so if someone sells now and manages to buy back at the bottom, it could be a very good deal for him.
Selling at the current market condition might bring some risk and end up making losses since we don't really know what's next to happen and that is why others chose to play it safe and continue hodling their coins. But for those who predict that this market will eventually fall more and the deepest dip will still be possible, i think taking the risk by selling and buying back the coins in its lowest price might be profitable in the end. It's just that some may become fearful while others tend to become greedy and grab the chance while its still happening.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nayib Bukele prediction: 2 more countries will adopt Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 07, 2022, 06:43:25 PM
~snip~

Maybe he really knows something, and maybe he's just guessing, time will tell if he was right or not. However, one thing may be important in the story of who will be next, because the hardest thing is to be first in something - everyone else can learn a lot from the example of El Salvador, and maybe even get technical help if they decide to take the same step.

The key thing in all this is whether Bitcoin will change something for the better in El Salvador, and this is what is now in the focus of all potential candidates.
You are right. El Salvador will serve as a model from other countries so if they can see that bitcoin did a great thing in El Salvador and was able to make this little country a very progressive one, then we can expect that after the success, other countries will have more chances to adopt bitcoin as their new legal tender. Things are only quite hard in the beginning because of the risk, but if a single country takes the risk and comes out more successful, then bitcoin has really those big potentials that a legal currency should have.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the meme coin still worth holding on: January 07, 2022, 01:44:53 PM
We all hope Elon or other mainstream influencer will make a HYPE on meme coins one day. After pump we will be able to sell at higher prices. Except Shiba and Doge no reason to HODL other meme coins.
Even Shiba and DOGE, I will not hold it for long term. It's enough for me to invest and take short term profit as they are usually driven by hype, if Elon will stop hyping these coins there's no reason to invest as it will just dump although the volume will remain decent.

HODL for me are for projects that have a long term potential, that can be developed and with great fundamentals, I don't see it on DOGE and SHIB, so no HODL for these coins.

Frankly, Dogecoin can be holded in some cases. Specially if buying it now, probably Cheesy Dogecoin is a unique altcoin. It will survive because it was created long time ago and already gained some popularity. While Shiba Inu is a product of pure hype. It was created during the time when meme coins appeared every day. It just got lucky and gained attention of Elon Musk fans. It made an instant appearance and will disappear also quickly.

I might have bought Dogecoin, if its price goes really deep, and hold it till market recovery. I bet it has some chances to update or to touch ATH. While overhyped Shiba Inu will drawn by other crypto hype.

I think even if Dogecoin dump this year it's still overvalued for me, therefore, if I will decide on what to buy during the dip, I would never consider dogecoin as I think it will be hard for doge to recover again after many investors are disappointed holding it. When the market dump, there's plenty of altcoins with great potential, and I'm sure meme coins does not belong to that.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: January 07, 2022, 01:25:59 PM
And wall street told me btc will be ath 100,000$ next year february.
What he told you all was a lie, how did he say that has never happened, why didn't he say in 2019 for Bitcoin in 2021, is he busy fishing.

To reach $100,000 is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand, it takes a big investor/whale there, a minimum of 10 whales to swallow large amounts of Bitcoin, then it can be predicted to that level.

Wall street guys are bullish because they want to convince you to buy bitcoin, but we have to be realistic, what we are seeing now is not bullish anymore, it's bearish and probably this is already the result of the market correction. If we will hit $100k which is next month as predicted, then I would say I was also wrong as I did not expect it will happen.
1368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 07, 2022, 07:55:48 AM
Many people who enter the world of crypto trading start with their greed because they see people who have had great success through crypto trading.
greed makes them rush to jump in and start trading without exploring it first. and they lose because of their greed.

Are you one of those who have experienced it?

me: yes

early in my career I went bankrupt because of greed. But in the end it taught me a lesson to be able to control myself from greed and to prioritize common sense.

thanks for reading.
please input criticism or suggestions.
It's no secret that greed is the cause of human destruction...

I see 99% of people who go bankrupt in terms of gambling, trading or investment are the result of their own greed, learning to manage greed from an early age is a good thing that everyone must do so they don't regret it later.
Greed is never been recommended or something you should really take in control whether you are doing investments or doing gambling because this would really result into disaster if you do really let

yourself get dragged along with greediness inside you specially when you are aiming on making profits in short term. You would really be that impulsive when it comes to that
which would result into bad decisions.

Be sensible on your actions and be aware on what you are doing.Dont rush up things and taking that slowly but surely kind of path.
Well, its definitely hard to control our greed since most of the time, we are overwhelm with emotions and so we let it carried what is on our mind. But if you trade with full of greed as your motivation, expect that you will find it hard to trade successfully. Maybe don't be too emotional when you trade so you can focus on your strategies and attain your goal, because if you cannot control your greed in the first place, i guess even if you have been trading for years, it will definitely won't work on you.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 07, 2022, 04:09:48 AM
Russell might win but it won't be easy especially against an opponent who is willing to give everything he had for this championship fight. I love how Filipino boxers fight, they are so aggressive and hungry to win a championship, in this fight, I'm expecting that will happen and of course upset is what I am hoping to see as I'll certainly take that 4.00 odds.
And I agree, I think we all understand that Russell is the best boxer out of the two, but we also know that style makes fights and an opponent that on paper seems like it is weaker can beat another boxer that was better because of this, also the circumstances of the fight can vary greatly and as such Magsayo has a chance to get the victory here, and if someone is willing to take those odds I think they will be taking the right decision as the odds for a bet for Russell to win are not attractive.
Of course, I'm taking the odds of Magsayo as not only it's attractive, it's also possible that he might win this fight and will become a champion. This is Magsayo's first attempt in a championship fight, I think it's just right to trust him here as for sure he will do his best to give a hard competition to the champion.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 07, 2022, 03:37:00 AM
We always read the words "Don't bet more than you can afford to lose", but are we really following that safe principle in gambling?

So, I have a question here, if you are earning like $2000 a month, how much are you willing to gamble that you think you can afford to lose?
Please use the amount as a basis for your answer.

Well.
There was a time when I limited my monthly bets to $30, an extremely low amount but enough for me to be able to place some sports bets on my favorite teams and also gamble on other random games of dice, cards and roulettes just relying on in luck.
My intention has always been fun, so I never had any problems going beyond that amount.

I know it's hard to keep the addiction under control, and I consider myself a happy person that I don't have to worry about it.

That's definitely okay as long as you are gambling for fun, you won't mind betting a small amount in gambling if your are enjoying. However, if you are gambling for business, I mean if you have goals to win consistently, then I guess the amount is too small to risk and you might just be wasting time since it will not certainly grow according to your target.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unsettling, for those who don't have it on: January 06, 2022, 11:31:43 PM
sorry but this part where you talk about quitting a job is definitely not a good thing, with your job you would receive money that would allow you to continue investing in bitcoin and pay your expenses so quitting a job was a bad move. Bitcoin doesn't work miracles it's just a good long-term and decentralized investment, but it doesn't work miracles, no one should let it play because of bitcoin
Well, there's no room for regretting as you have made your fixed decision so just focus on achieving your new goal by making consistent knowledge in crypto and its crypto space. I know that one reason why you have to leave your old job is you also see the potentials in crypto and you certainly believe that you will do better in crypto than in banks. I think you are right. Just focus on the bright side as you have more good opportunities today to focus on crypto and make the best profits by simply giving what's best in you. Crypto is for risk takers and for those who have strong faith that crypto will open wider opportunities to make profits compared to fiat.
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: Robert Kiyosaki expects a market crash and economic crisis - do you believe it? on: January 06, 2022, 08:27:53 PM
I believe this man more than many billionaires out there, this man have never said anything against crypto technology he is in full support of anything futuristic, a smart fellow if you ask me, I think the reason why I predicted this market crash is because of the never ending Covid that has now generated into Omicron virus, let's just hope that this doesn't get out of hand
Dont tend to destroy your hopes and beliefs on certain individuals but i dont really believe that they could precisely predict just because on basing with sentiments that floating around.Come to think that

we've been on a pandemic situation for couple of years but look at on what happen into the market? Instead on having a crash we did able to reach out all time highs.

I dont really believe about those precise predictions because we could only have two possible paths which is going down or going up.
Exactly. Do not put all your trust in just a single person and easily carried on him. Bitcoin will always be volatile and has a very unpredictable market so none of us can make precise prediction even how smart or expert he is.  I believe there's always a possibility of a market crash in the future, but it may not happen too. Seeing bitcoin in an upward trend, i know as much as possible it will never tend to move or crash the market. But since its highly volatile, it could sometimes fall its value particularly if a correction happens or a bearish season affects the market, but it will also recover for sure once the market gets back to normal.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 06, 2022, 02:11:54 PM
It's the other way around, Russell should not underestimate Magsayo's capabilities because there is a good possibilities that he can pull an upset. And if he become the typical boxer who is truly believes in him as a champion to defeat anyone, then he could be wrong as Magsayo is a very dangerous opponent for him and shouldn't be taken lightly. And hopefully this fight will live up to it's expectation of one of the best fights in the lower division this year.

Never seen Magsayo getting dominated in a fight, he maybe not the champion now but he is a real deal with a great future. If he wins this fight, that will start the best days of his career and his promoter was never wrong in trusting him to become the champion. All these are just my speculation and expectation but it will only be possible if Magsayo will work hard for this fight and consider it as the biggest fight of his life.

His last fight with Ceja, in the scorecards he was behind so i think that was one instance that he was dominated in a fight but when Ceja was hit by that lethal blow, the outcome have changed.

I just do hope that Magsayo will be aggressive upon the opening bell to score some points in case he can't score a knockout, he still got a chance to get the judges nod.

With coach Freddie Roach in his corner, i think he is in good hands and come fight night, the Philippines will have a new champion in the Featherweight division.

Exactly, with a bad coach, Magsayo won't be able to win that fight. His movement was easy to predict but there was only one mistake that Ceja made and that made him open from the KO punch of Magsayo. I guess Ceja was so confident that he can beat Magsayo and that happened.

Magsayo was aggressive in his previous fight but his punches was not on target most of the time, he needs some accuracy and that's what he need to learn and improve.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 06, 2022, 01:44:27 PM
I thought that Dillon Brooks has played in their last game but I must be wrong.
He hasn't played yet but I think he will be available in the next game and I'm excited to see what he can bring again. Dillon Brooks was part of the major success of the Grizzlies last playoffs, and this season, I believe they are really a real contender to win the WCF now that some teams are struggling.
1375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is possible to make a profit by trading on: January 05, 2022, 08:30:36 PM
It is true that losses are also part of trading, so if you are getting loss don't be worried learn more practice more ultimately your loss ratio with respect to profit will be nothing.

I think that's how trading should be. If you see you're not profitable anymore and just keep acquiring losses, learn to study more and create other strategies that will perfectly suit on you. In no time, you will regain what you had lose. But definitely, losses are already part of trading. If you can't accept losses, then you should not be trading in the first place. Because trading is high risk, and once you do it, you should perform it with full of knowledge, focus and patience. And with experience, i know you will be able to manage the risk.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Betplay.io goes Solana on: January 05, 2022, 01:33:37 PM
Thanks for the information, but is this still your official ANN Thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5319611.0)?

It's not active anymore IMO, I guess you need more promotions or advertising to keep your thread pumped up from gamblers who are really gambling using your platform.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 05, 2022, 01:01:24 PM
Errol Spence is undefeated while Ugas has four loses so it's understandable that people will put heavily their money on Spence.
I think that's A big advantage to Errol spence to get some bet for him cause he is undefeated and the mindset of the gamblers or people will choose him. We all know that Spence is a great boxer and very strategic fighter in terms of fighting. But I think Ugas has a plan and trained well for this in order to beat spence even if ugas has a four loss I think that's not the point that we declared he will loss this fight and for sure that they ugas will have a better moves and let's wait that day.
Obviously, Spence has the biggest advantage here but as a gambler, we don't just bet on who will win and just take the odds as obviously it's not so profitable when Spence is listed as the heavy favorite. The question here is, if the odds will be 1.20 for Spence, are you willing to risk $100 to win $20?

That's too small, right? and there's no guarantee that Spence will win so we are gambling on a small return.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 05, 2022, 08:32:39 AM
But to say it reaches $500,000 or stays at 6 digits might be overstated as well. I could say this because we can't sure where Bitcoin goes. Even we saw that Bitcoin is growing and the price really impressing almost everyone. I understand that we are mostly thinking positively the same thing I did but this can never save Bitcoin if ever it will collapse one day, we never know right? But for now, it was just seeing great and we look forward to it as it looks more better than today.
Bitcoin can reach $200K and can also drop below $20K if volatility is taken into account. Bear in mind that we will be faced with one of the big news this year where Mtgox might distribute bitcoins to holders, this will affect the price and huge volatility will probably occur as people will be eager to take profits after so long wanting to get those bitcoins back.

I wouldn't put other people's analysis up front when it comes to investing because I'm sure they don't do it as financial advice. Being overly optimistic isn't good either, but we shouldn't be too pessimistic about how the bitcoin price could reach $100K or more.
It's better to see the market in a more practical and balanced way rather than overrated or underrated since it does not help at all. But i would say, with regards to the market's condition at the present, bitcoin will certainly not collapse, rather it will grow and increase its value as soon as the market gets back to normal. I can say its a normal thing to see crypto prices in dump whenever a correction or bear season hits the market. Just stay calm and patient. This situation will eventually change when the market recovers.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: January 04, 2022, 11:06:14 PM
There are some people who have claimed themselves as satoshi nakamoto. Craig is one of them. I'm sure all of them are fraud. Just trying to get into the focus, they are nothing but attention seeker. Anyway, can someone give me a complete list of people who have claimed them as satoshi nakamoto?

Attention seeking most likely.

I see these kinds of people every day in my life and they're messed up in their head for some reason, It's obvious that their lies won't be unnoticed for long but they somehow seem to overlook that.
This is very common nowadays, there are many people that cannot simply do something because they enjoy doing it and instead they are always trying to get attention from others in some way or another, while some are just caught in the times we live and eventually get over it I have known many people that are sick and try to find that attention in any way they can, so it is not difficult to guess that some of those that claim to be satoshi are people like that.
The only reason that i think why they claim themselves as satoshi is to own the recognition that only the real satoshi deserves. Because if others will fall for them, merits will be sent for them, taking it as their advantage. But one thing is certain, Satoshi Nakamoto has planned all of these because he knew before that these things will eventually happen. So leaving the forum all of a sudden is intentional.
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The faith of Altcoins in 2022 on: January 04, 2022, 07:38:34 PM
I think every year we have the same question... I think the same as before, some alts will develop more and rise in price, some are destined to fail! Which ones are is a million-dollar answer, but things don't work that way, it's why investing in alts is risky... Until now many alts made a quite nice price rise, and that will continue to happen, I guess each of us has some picks for the future, but there are no guarantees! There's just our research and hope for the best after we make an investment!
Altcoins are definitely risky to invest so we should analyze first all our actions before making such decisions. But even how far we keep on making researches on altcoins, i think having it corrected or seeing its prices are declining are just normal and inevitable. Let's say altcoins ha6ve not met yet its high predictions that we all made of. Maybe in 2022, it will be realized soon.

Altcoins have definitely their high potentials to be more valuable so we just have to keep the faith and continue trusting altcoins. Who knows an altcoin season will happen this year and we'll definitely make huge profits from altcoins. Better keep hodling this time and just wait for a good timing to sell.
