1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn an apartment in a bear market on: August 11, 2023, 01:46:45 PM
You might be able to make some money but it might not be enough to cover the cost of your apartment though.

I would suggest a maximum of bitcoin then ETH and BNB which is enough. The rest of the altcoins, you could go with but not going to make significant upward changes in a short time at all.

Always give your maximum to bitcoin and you will realize that you are profiting more than the same amount in altcoins.
1362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A opinion on regrets on: August 11, 2023, 01:43:32 PM
Already bitcoin had raised good value of 30k,many people who had invested below 30k will cash out to dollars now.
I guess the number is pretty large because I am not seeing recovery from the 30k USD level to any place higher and sustaining that price either, a selling pressure is continuously happening at this range.

However this is a common thing and for those who are trying to buy at lower price and those who are trying to sell at a higher price, need to wait it out. Reversal of pattern may occur.

Regrets should not be there for any sort of price change, we are all watching and waiting and have our own buy/sell points and the objective is to capitalize on them.
1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the way to Prosperity for a Determined Dreamer on: August 10, 2023, 06:42:50 AM
It's good to see that your teacher has advised you about investing in Bitcoin, I would like to know more about how they learnt about Bitcoin in the first place. Now you should also be careful whether you are getting a steady source of money to buy Bitcoin and if not you should get a job to stabilise the daily or monthly income first. Then start investing on Bitcoin.

Also don't be stubborn to always buy but also buy back and sell to make sure you are taking advantage of the profits.
1364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: August 10, 2023, 06:35:12 AM
Getting a hundred per day is tough even if you are a pro at day trading. Remember that day trading would mean more and more intensive monitoring of prices over 24hr. Most professional day traders use bot to get that data and a lot of sleepless nights will occur. It is a toll on your physical and mental health. I don't recommend day trading to a person who is already a holder.

However I can suggest you to try dummy trading with a day trading mindset and see whether you are comfortable with it.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: August 10, 2023, 06:31:22 AM
ETH and BNB. yes this altcoin looks expensive at the moment, but in the future you will realize that the current ETH and BNB prices are very cheap.
talking about future potential is beyond doubt as ETH is the king of altcoins and BNB is backed by binance.
I did get Ethererum at three digit price long time back and saw BNB at two digit price, they have gone a long way from there in terms of price and therefore it shows that some altcoins will always grow and become big, compared to other shitcoins. The number of such coins are small and usually take up the top 10 list of the aggreator sites.

It also shows that with time prices grow and getting such coins at cheap prices is something that we all want and the present is the best time for that. Who know which coin will go up in the next few years, apart from Bitcoin which we are always bullish about.
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost bitcoins on: August 09, 2023, 02:46:22 PM
If the amount of Bitcoin lost is recovered in full, it will not significantly affect the value of Bitcoin. And you should never do that thinking because lost bitcoins can never be recovered. and we can say that the amount of lost bitcoins should be considered as a donation to the bitcoin network. and as per your question, even if the lost bitcoins are fully recovered, there will be no damage or change to the bitcoin network, but the price of bitcoin may fall slightly.
If the coins are recovered then you can assume that they are back in circulation and the owner might try to sell them, which is their personal choice. If the coins are never recovered which is the maximum number of cases, those coins can be considered to be "inaccessible" and therefore lost forever and not coming back to the market to change its prices.

But the chances of such recoveries are tiny. So better to consider lost bitcoin as lost forever.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: August 09, 2023, 02:36:33 PM
How can there be 'no deposit limit' if it is clearly stated in the quoted text? It is a great feature, in my opinion. You set it when your self-discipline is good and prevent yourself from playing more if you're just driven by greed or similar behavior, which could cost you more funds. This is something that I will definitely use myself.
The casinos though want you to deposit more because it is what drives their business but to show people that they support responsible gambling they come up with these features. Its like the place where you get your kicks from putting your money in and they put up a deposit limit - should that work?

Well for an addicted gambler, since gambling acts like a drug in them, very less chance of working - the person will remove that limit if already set and deposit more or never actually use it.

For a disciplined gambler which is again a rarest of rare species, it might work.
1368  Economy / Economics / Re: How billionaires are really affecting the economy. on: August 09, 2023, 02:28:25 PM
Now more and more millionaires are concerned with humanity, of course, the popular ones are Bill Gates who like to make donations throughout the world with well -designed programs, in my country of assistance from millionaires, of course, it is immediately useful because it is related to the agricultural system, 5 or 6 years ago there are millionaires which provides assistance worth $ 10 million and is used for rice field irrigation systems thereby increasing farmers' production
It is not that simple as it sounds. They are often using these philanthropic fronts as a cover to their money and how they are offshoring it. Most people dont get this properly and although it sometimes sounds like a tinfoil hat idea, it is not entirely false. Companies do need to cover up their total assets, evade taxation and continue to grow.

Of course if a poor person gets benefit from this, then very few people think of the opposite angle, like farmers for example.

Dont forget that rich folk already have their bitcoins stashed and are increasing their stash while we keep complaining about what they are doing. Hence focus should be to grab some coins in the bear market than read news articles.
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime on: August 08, 2023, 09:20:37 AM
Crimes are committed with any type of money being involved, using bitcoin only makes it more easier to send and transact. But fiat has seen its share of bloodshed over the years a million more times. Since there are methods to track the money trail we have forensics being able to track them down and incriminate a suspect. Then we are coming into a world where bitcoin and its tracking through government agencies might become possible, the reason why KYC on exchanges is being so important.

If this system works as its intended to do, we might see an increase in number of arrests for bitcoin-related fraud/scams/attacks and so on.
1370  Economy / Economics / Re: The Interplay of Consumption and Production on: August 08, 2023, 09:17:40 AM
A lot of big words in the OP, but the main point is that the demand is what drives the supply and the type of supply too. This type of demand is again coming from media and influences from the people in this world.

But I still dont understand why people cant take one thing for sure - you are only going to spend if you want to spend, nobody is forcing you to spend your money. Gradually though many new things coming up will become necessities, so buy them once you are in need for them.

In my country, internet was not a necessary thing for years and therefore its cost was huge, only in the recent decade it has become necessity and thus the rise of low cost but high bandwidth connections, plus for doing education related work you would need it anyway. So as the demand increased the price also dropped. Keep that in mind.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Not Nerdy Enough on: August 08, 2023, 09:07:15 AM
feeling frustrated alone will not produce and change anything, you can take a small step to introduce and educate about Bitcoin to your family or closest friends who are interested in Bitcoin.
I think its similar to being a teacher and for being a good teacher patience is a big trait to have or develop. Which is why its rare to have a teacher whom we actually remember from school days who would listen and remain clam to explain things to us in detail. Point is that we should adopt a similar stance when teaching people about bitcoin, but it can get frustrating at times.

My suggestion is not to over do it or take it up like personal vendetta. It is ultimately a personal choice to invest in bitcoin or buy bitcoin and hence just let them follow that.
1372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins and it's potential on: August 07, 2023, 03:42:38 AM
yes, it's true that using fiat money is of course easier, and will be accepted by all people, but I think investing in btc is something fun because we can benefit from our investment, because if we have a lot of profit from the results of our investment in btc of course we will have a lot of money, so we need btc and fiat currency.
Profit comes from bitcoin if you are trading it and have bought at low and sold at high. You would not be getting profits if you are just sitting on the coins. What you can aspire to do is to increase your bitcoin stash at every drop and accumulate bitcoin at low prices so that when the world starts accepting bitcoin as a legal tender (long shot, but why not?) you will have the advantage over no-coiners because of price difference.

We may not see the above happening within the next few years, but at least our next generations will and we can hand over our earnings for them to reach goals which we could not.
1373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading and gambling on: August 07, 2023, 03:38:57 AM
trading and gambling are two very different things even though both have a risk of loss, for me gambling relies on luck, but in trading it really requires proper knowledge and analysis in trading, in gambling if we are not lucky then we will obviously suffer losses and if in trading experiencing a decrease in price so we can still wait when the price is good.
Over here you are referring to EV- gambling games which are more commonly known to public and those are relying on luck, no doubt. But we also have EV+ games like poker, sportsbetting which require the gambler to have certain skills and practice them to maximize their winnings.

Then in trading we have spot trading which is the buy/sell thing that everyone is aware of and we also have Futures, Leverage and all which are less known to public. Spot trading can be likened with EV+ gambling while the others with EV- gambling.

The point to note there is that exchanges will never market spot trading because its implied that it is going to be there. You have to decide whether you want to play with luck and reach huge profits/losses in short time or want to play it cool and get significant profits over time.
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on the Next Crypto Opportunity on: August 07, 2023, 03:33:45 AM
Remember, diversification is key! Not just within cryptocurrencies, but also across different asset classes. Altcoins are but one more instrument in our investment orchestra.
My take on diversification is that one must have assets classes of traditional markets along with bitcoin in the crypto section. Doing crypto should not indicate the altcoins that have been launched recently or have been making the news. Its more of the ones who have been in the market for long if I stretch it.

There are bonds, stocks, real estate which are profitable for the long term too, they are here to stay even if bitcoin goes huge. But keep altcoins as limited as possible.

Just dont spend your money on HYIPs and MLM schemes, they are bound to make you lose.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be watchful it's not yet time on: August 07, 2023, 03:25:40 AM
While many of the old timers on this forum discourage to invest in those new projects, I think the biggest mistake by far is the asset allocation newbie investors implement, if the majority of the funds they invested in this market were allocated in bitcoin or ethereum and only a small percentage of their funds were invested in high risk altcoins then I would have no problem with it.
The problem with a smaller allocation to higher risk projects is that the possible gains from them is also small, because the profit will be proportional to the capital. So if the traders sees that they are getting profit, they will be encouraged to put in more allocation to that high risk asset, even drawing from the stack of less risky assets just because the short term gains was good.

This is human nature and one fine day when that project crashes, they will have loss written over their folios.

Only if the trader is able to maintain the same allocation percentage to that project inspite of increasing profits then only this method works out, in most cases they can stop this temptation.
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 05, 2023, 04:27:29 AM
The KYC requirement is something that every casino now needs to comply with. Otherwise they risk losing their business and face the music. There are many casinos that come up and have a usual ~1 to 2 year period when they remain KYC-free. This is taken advantage of by many gamblers before they declare a KYC wave and the gamblers move to another casino.

Point is that gambling will not stop and privacy requirments will continue to be there. This ends up being a cat and mouse game and eventually gamblers will have to accept one or the other, either submit kyc and play on one casino which they trust or keep jumping ships every year.
1377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are memecoins tarnishing the image of crypto? on: August 04, 2023, 07:20:27 AM
Obviously they bring a bad name to crypto and I could say that the fault lies in the newbie for investing in that coin but the biggest marketing occurs for these shitcoins only because Bitcoin does not need any.

Even so there are people who make money from shitcoins like the ones who promote them but definitely the ones who invest and trade, earn less. They are planned scams and hence the ones who are part of the scam are the biggest winners and not the ones who play with the fire.

To be honest, we can debate this at length but to keep new traders safe, I suggest to stay away from shitcoins and memecoins as much as possible.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: August 04, 2023, 07:11:11 AM
I agree. Musk has been hinting about his interest on artificial intelligence expansion and space exploration research. After all it will be a big investment that will surely make profits for him in the future. Right now, however, he is having fun with his Twitter investment and what else he could change there.
We can only speculate and have an idea of what they might do. But what they will really come up with in future is a wait and watch game. Those who are thinking they can predict the future and be bullish on the future endeavours are only going to be throwing stones in the dark. But if that turns them on, then good luck doing that.

Personally I have zero interest in what they are doing. By the time these concepts become reality and used by public we would be become very old
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spending on Harlots/Hook Up Girls Instead of Investing in Bitcoin. on: August 03, 2023, 04:39:57 PM
I think you are confusing hooking up with bitcoin investing, I understand that the link between them is that both require money but how one spends it is their choice. You need not be humble about your profits and you are free to spend it on hookers if that suits you.

It does not mean that the one who enjoy hooking up as a regular thing are bad people, its their choice and bitcoin is about free world and the ability to make free choice. You see how you are contradicting bitcoin's own principles by your own doctrine?

Let them be, besides the more they waste money, the more profit for you because they become poor if they spend too much, you should cash in on that. Grin
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: August 03, 2023, 03:29:56 PM
We must be thankful that Meme season has ended and yes we are now aware of what can happen if their time continues.
It has not ended but only became dormant. You see, these methods of scamming people has come from ICOs and their varied names like ITO/STO/IEO and other similar sounding offerings, though the basic concept has been the same, hype the crowd about some shit idea and then make them invest money in it while the investors exit and abandon the project in a pre-planned manner.

This modus should be identified by every budding investor out there and avoided at all costs. Memecoins are no less and they have only made their owners and non-owning promoters rich and never the investors.
