Honestly, if you take away the satire of this coin. it will die. don't give up now fishes
Agreed. The logo that stands now is SATIRE. People think the logo is hilarious. You cannot change it. It has already been changed to it's current form to avoid the lawsuit.

I'll post what I posted over in the COYE thread too here, but you guys should be aware the Kanye West is also suing Dogecoin. And no, I'm not making this up. The PDF of the lawsuit is here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/199664565/Kanye-West-v-0DayCoins-and-Amazon-Coinye-LawsuitAnd for the lazy I made a screencap: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F7JzI1zp.png&t=663&c=5VF98RNc9LpauA) If COYE was a joke now because it had legal issues, Dogecoin is too. But here's the thing, you can't just fucking sue coins out of existence. If you don't like Coinyes, put down the bad blood for a second because this is an opportunity to make a stand against a celebrity who still doesn't get it.

Thats is because some morons are exchanging it for Dogecoin, I fucking warned people not touch this fucking coin.
Are we going to see DOGE and COYE unite in this fight even for just a day? One cannot simply sue coins out of existence.

Think about simple human psychology for a second.
The harder something is to obtain the more people want to obtain in.
In the case of Coinye, if Kayne tries to shut down exchanges and the very act of him doing so is a hilarious self-fulfilling prophecy of this satire, then it becomes increasingly popular and hilarious to own Coinye and use them. Once people realize they can't simply be sued for using a satirical coin then any fear of using it is gone and they will try to obtain some if not for anything but the LOLZ and showing off to their friends. This is Stage 1 Adoption Phase.

Topic for #coinyecoin is: coin is dead, fuck off
Not looking good folks.
I'll say it: The coin isn't dead. That's a troll chatroom now. The new devs have relocated to a new irc channel they stated in a few pages back. And final point: If anyone is going OUT of their way to tell you that a coin is dead it's only because they don't want you thinking for yourself and mining it. Less network hashrate = More coins for them until it becomes obvious to anyone who takes a step back the market potential for this coin. Think about it: Would you click through all these useless junk coins in this forum and make posts in each one stating that they are dead coins and it's pointless to mine? Why would anyone do that if they didn't feel they had anything to gain from it? This comment is for anyone reading this, not just the guy I'm quoting (who could very well be a manipulater anyways).

Finally there are some movements towards reviving Coinye. Hope that we will make it. Unfortunately, I can't be of any decent help, but I solemnly claim that I will make a 5M COYE total donation to the new devs or community members that will do the following. 1. Get COYE on one or more decent exchanges. (1 M for the first exchange + 1 M to the dev of coye-exchange if it will be first and smooth running). 2. Good COYE dedicated website. It must contain simple but informative info about crypto currencies and an easy guide for newbies how to acquire and mine COYE and services and places where they could use or spend them. (2 M COYE). 3. For the development of different apps and services for COYE. (2 M COYE). I don't want to give up on this coin and its potential. Now its all or nothing! Don't hold the line, CHARGE! P.S my COYE wallet is 5WoKSpanj1WjtNdNwywnbFFVoQjmZuhP6z and I am NOT joking.

Guys, one thing to do to keep your faith in this coin is just keep checking the Twitter feeds for the word "Coinye". It is comprised of two things that are happening at a faster and faster rate:
1) People retweeting TMZ, USA TODAY, Pitchfork articles about the Kayne lawsuit 2) People LMAOing about this coin and thinking it's fucking hilarious.
Don't give up guys.
This shit is just the beginning.

In this TMZ article it says Kayne is even trying to sue AMAZON "because he believes Amazon provides web hosting services to the websites behind Coinye,". FUCKING AMAZON. http://www.tmz.com/2014/01/14/kanye-west-sues-coinye-west-currency-lawsuit/You are telling me that this little worthless piece of shit Coiynecoin caused a MEGA CELEB to sue the LARGEST ONLINE RETAIL COMPANY IN THE FUCKING WORLD. It's WORTHLESS?! Nah brah. Not even close. The gay fish is flailing.

1.53Ghash/s NETWORK divided by ~800Khash/s per R9 290 (roughly) = A measly ~1900 video cards mining Coiyne right now. I understand the original developers sucked ass but they made this monster that is gaining ridiculous attention in the media by itself. The original devs are gone now and a new team is taking over to continue the coin. Just take a moment to see the national attention it is getting: https://twitter.com/search?q=coinye&src=typd&f=realtimehttp://www.tmz.com/2014/01/14/kanye-west-sues-coinye-west-currency-lawsuit/IT'S ON FUCKING TMZ. All of this and the coiyne is being kept alive by a few hundred miners. Doesn't that seem a little underwhelming? If anyone was sitting on the sidelines waiting to get involved with developing a coin, this is a golden opportunity. Unless you think Kayne will sue you to oblivion. Will a celeb honestly be able to stop a coin easier than a government can?

Whine and complain, whine and complain.
You guys, unless you burnt out some video cards mining this coin for a few days, why is anyone bitching at all? Seriously?
This is hilarious. The cryptocurrency world has managed to get under the skin of a mega celeb as he scrambles to sue things left and right that he isn't even sure abotu. And (almost) everyone just resorts to bitching and complaining?
Goddamn you guys. Lighten up.

Are you shitting me? http://www.tmz.com/2014/01/14/kanye-west-sues-coinye-west-currency-lawsuit/Coinye was fucking picked up by TMZ today. You guys are calling this coin dead? LOOK AT THE FREE PUBLICITY IT CONTINUES TO GET. You cannot tell me there is no incentive to keep this coin alive. An entire market is chomping at the bits and people here are throwing in the towel because it's only worth a couple satoshis on an exchange that never existed 4 days ago. I doubt the original devs even talked with CoinedUp or Cryptsy. If some SERIOUS conversation can begin this coin will be back and kicking in a day.

Honestly guys, screw the devs. We have coinye-exchange.com coming up this week, we're working on a twitter and reddit tipbot, more gambling things on the way, the only thing the dev really did was try to hype it. And guess what? We don't need anyone to hype it, Kanye keeps making that happen for us. No other coin has had this kind of free publicity.
So look, there's not going to be any magical coin that you can mine a metric shit fuck ton of and then dump for millions of dollars, because everyone else is doing the same thing - it's always been up to the community to get things out there to make this shit take off. No one magically made DOGE be in demand. If we pull this shit together, new devs, and stronger community support can really make a huge difference.
Quite frankly, if the community doesn't try to capitalize on all this free press, it'd be a singular opportunity lost.
Yep. You nailed it. Anyone sitting around who has been waiting to help out a cryptocurrency but hasn't yet should take the opportunity to utilize this one. If they can do it right or help out in any way, it'll be tremendously popular and they'll get rewarded for their time.

Honestly...
I think the best thing to happen to this coin is that it has a new set of devs behind it. Things started to fall through with this coin. All it needs is a dev team that cares and it's golden.
Impossible. When you got scared people running all over the forum and crying. I have to add some oil to the fire. You see people who're scaring everyone, so they dump everything at 2, 1 satoshi. I don't want to waste my time with this. I already lost precious time. Who's gonna be blamed at the end? Right, me. No, thanks. 2 persons have the official COYE account. One is me and one more guy. Who's not online atm. Haven't slept 34+ hours, due to my own business + this coye hype which escalated quickly. You can't control a mass of brats with kindness. If you don't want anything to do with the coin, you can give your access to me. You'll have to accept your 0.5BTC loss as a sunk cost though ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) . Honestly it sounds like you've written the whole thing off in your head anyways. I'm happy to help you exit if you'd like. I agree. There are plenty of people who watched the ship go down with the greedy original devs and probably had been forming an idea of how they would have handled this better to see it last. The bottom line is this: Coinyecoin still has great media attention (there's no denying this) and ANY, I mean ANY developments will most likely make their rounds on news outlets and Twitter. How many other of the 100 new coins this past month can say that? It still has TREMENDOUS leverage on other coins. And finally, we are underestimating people's willingness to forgive. If a new set of devs make it clear they are now running the show with better interests at heart, people will start paying attention again.
