13661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a service that can help me brute force my password? on: December 11, 2018, 03:06:42 AM
I have only my wallet ID

what do you mean by "wallet ID"? is it from a web wallet such as blockchain.com(.info)?
if that is the case then the password can not be brute forced, you need to contact their support and figure out what recovery methods they offer you.
13662  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is not going UP anytime soon and here is why. on: December 10, 2018, 06:03:10 AM
I'm staying in until 2022 at the latest; if it hasn't done something spectacular by then, I think I'll withdraw about 90% of what I have invested.

This is a terrible strategy, if you wait till 2022 and your fears turn out true bitcoin may very well be worth a buck by that point.

why is it terrible?
i agree that it is not the best strategy but it is nowhere near terrible either. you want to invest in bitcoin for long term not short term if you are not a trader. and that is how you do it. you buy in the yearly dips and hold it for a year at least. all these ups and downs that are causing drama are for short term.
additionally you always invest what you can afford to lose. it is true that bitcoin might be worth $1 by 2022 but so does anything else you ever invest in. as an investor you weigh the risks and rewards and then invest which means there is also a chance that bitcoin is worth $100k and based on that you have a risk/reward ratio.
13663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Issue about Bitcoin in the future on: December 10, 2018, 05:45:47 AM
coins that have never been mined will not give profits to crypto users,

what OP is asking has nothing to do with profit so it is not related to non-mineable coins.
there are different ways of distributing the supply, one of them is mining the coin using proof of work algorithm which bitcoin is using this design. other methods can be different but they are not necessarily bad just because they are different and you should not confuse them with a premined altcoin that the dev is controlling it to make free money.
13664  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Could someone take me through making a no fee transaction (again) on: December 10, 2018, 04:53:42 AM
you have to find the "amount" field in your transaction by deserializing it first then replace that with new amount you want to pay then serialize the transaction again. it seems like you just appended "45505446ff00" at the beginning of the transaction for some reason!

this is your current amount: 738501000000000016 = 9969910
this is what you want to set it to: 10000010= A08601000000000016

you can get A086010000000000 from your previous output too! just deserialize b0b610f02d097a5a88215ccfd3368feda907ac5baf330f163720a19685dd9c4a and find a9144d5864b9c56086e0ebda1806c6c775a5ebdef0c987 in it and your get your amount field there.
13665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Previous big crash of Bitcoin: Who was there and now here? on: December 10, 2018, 04:33:08 AM
the market history is not something secret that only few who experienced it can know it! it is publicly available on at last 50 different websites that provide you with price history and charts and anybody who is willing to spend a little amount of time can know it. and all the news, the FUD topics, the newbie panics,... are also historically preserved on all the social media platforms from news sites to forums and you can see all of it.

...and the only value that history has it to gain experience to not repeat the mistakes of the past not to look at it and repeat the same thing all over again by making this trend into repetition of the past!
13666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some "whales" preparing for selling operations? on: December 10, 2018, 04:23:07 AM
it is interesting that people see a large amount of bitcoin be received in an address and their first assumption is that a whale is getting ready to sell whereas in reality there is a higher chance that this is a whale who has bought a lot of bitcoin in the dip and has moved it to his wallet. the splitting is done after he withdrew to one address so that he is not keeping a lot of money in one place!
13667  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Human readable addresses on: December 10, 2018, 04:15:51 AM
another downside to this which i forgot to mention in my comment is that it is encouraging Address Reuse (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address_reuse), which is not a good thing and should be avoided by design not encouraged. the design should be in a way that a bitcoin address always be treated as a single-use token. and if you start naming addresses then you would be encouraging people to reuse their addresses.
13668  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is there a way to toggle randomized tx outputs, in Electrum? on: December 09, 2018, 04:08:06 AM
Quote
I am not sure I understood your question

Is there a way to order the transaction outputs, in Electrum, without creating the raw transaction yourself?

why do you care about the order of transaction outputs? it doesn't make a difference whether you mean the previous ones you are spending (which the wallet seems to sort alphabetically based on their transaction IDs) or the new outputs you create (which is in your control based on which address you pay first).
13669  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why you should trade reviews of crypto YouTubers with caution on: December 09, 2018, 03:51:41 AM
there is a popular saying that if market experts were so expert, they would be buying stocks, not selling advice. and that has been very useful in case of all these Youtubers and all the others on other platforms who call themselves "experts" when they are mostly newbies trying to make money in ways other than trading because they failed in trading.
and this doesn't stop at reviewers either. there are a lot of them out there giving all kinds of advice and misleading dozens of newbies.
13670  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin IS in a bubble on: December 09, 2018, 03:30:54 AM
~
6k was nice example of a bull trap. Be prepared that your so called "inverse bubble" can continue for years. I still can't see any signs of recovery. There's major support at 3k now, but what will happen when we go close to it? There's probably a mine field of stop loss orders which can trigger another downwards explosion like we saw at 6k.

you are changing the discussion. being in a bubble or a reverse bubble is one discussion and how long they last is a different one. for example of bubble time, $15k was a bubble for bitcoin but that didn't mean it will burst then and there. it continued up to $20k and then burst and fell down and the fall down also took about 6-7 months. i never said the current price is the end of the reverse bubble (ATL) but any lower than it goes it will only increase the size and severity of this reverse bubble.

there is a similar story here too with the difference that during an inverse bubble people have to buy back for it to correct and people tend to do less "panic buying" compared to bubble bursts where they "panic sell". to the correction of a reverse bubble is always slower.
13671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto market ruthless to naive investors? on: December 09, 2018, 03:13:23 AM
no, any market is ruthless to naive investors. there is nothing new in cryptocurrency market. when money is involved everyone is only focusing on their own benefits and there is always going to be a large number of newbies that come in thinking they will become rich and it happens in all markets. then because of their naivete they make bad decisions such as buying too late in the bubble, or selling too late after the sell was over at the bottom,... and continue to lose money.
13672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be this type of Bitcoiner on: December 09, 2018, 02:43:49 AM
This kind of bitcoiner is being too aggressive and somehow irrational. I believe everything should be treated with a gradual process and this is the best way to go if we want people to embrace the world of cryptocurrencies. I think we need the right approach to ensure that this becomes a reality.

the correct word seems to be "desperate". at least that is the way i see it, because it was published during on of the downtrends a while ago and it only shows how the author has been losing money and wanting to hype up bitcoin thinking that way he can save his investment and make some money back. i am willing to bet that he doesn't understand the concepts he posted in his tweet and is just repeating them like a parrot!
13673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Going To Zero? on: December 09, 2018, 02:36:37 AM
it is a very common trend for news agencies (even the big ones) to publish nonsense about bitcoin at times like this where the market is not performing well like it does in a bull run. and people are so hungry for these types of nonsense that they actually seek them out so the news sites in a way are only providing what people ask for!!!
i gave up reading these things a while ago. it is just annoying and it won't change anything. everything is moving on its own accord with or without them.
13674  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin IS in a bubble on: December 08, 2018, 03:59:52 AM
Yet another worst scenario of the year for BTC, the market was okay till it went to $5k but crypto has changed its intention this time and want to give a scare for everyone who have Invested in this. Being strong still and have faith in BTC.

Lol. Detractors are having the time of their lives now saying "i told you so" 😆 the decline was sudden and steep and i don't think many were expecting it. The bubble popped, but i'm waiting for it to be inflated again.

you can't call this a "bubble pop" and then also claim that "nobody was expecting it" and also "was sudden and steep". these two prove that it was manipulation not a natural drop. when majority of investors don't expect a drop, they buy and that was the consensus above $6k, everyone was accumulating then the dumps came out of nowhere.
hence my point of this being an inverse bubble or you can call it an "artificial low"
13675  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to store on: December 08, 2018, 03:51:08 AM
it depends on your usage. if you are trading like your username suggests then you can't store your bitcoins in a cold storage such as paper wallet because then you have to sweep it multiple times a week and create a new one each time you do that which is exhausting and near impossible to perform correctly when repetition is involved. so you need to find an alternative way that you can have the access while not using a hot wallet. so your option is a hardware wallet if you want to spend the money to buy one. if not then you have to do it yourself, for example i have installed Linux on a USB disk with network disabled and with encryption and i have my cold storage there on Electrum with its seed backed up on a piece of paper.
13676  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Human readable addresses on: December 08, 2018, 03:40:37 AM
first you need to understand what an address is.
an address is the "human readable" form of the hash of the public key (or script in case of P2SH) of the person you are trying to send bitcoin to. so what you really have is this (for the address you posted):
Code:
c744bdf2d269e5cd3410d4ecf62fcb8734b973f5
this 160 bit hash is what is being used under the hood, you can't change that. so if you want another form like "tope.btc" you have to find a way to connect that hash with that name and at the same time include some additional information indicating the type of the output you should create (in this case pay to script hash). and that is impossible unless you create a centralized database that takes that name and gives you the corresponding address.
in bitcoin we are trying to avoid centralization not add more.
13677  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am serious, if you want to make a ton of money, buy short options/futures on: December 08, 2018, 03:29:04 AM
this is actually one of the main reasons why there is dozens of newbie accounts and some of the old known troll accounts are spamming the forum these days talking about how bitcoin is dead, dropping to $1, and things like that Cheesy
they enter a market they don't know anything about and choose a trading strategy that they also have no experience about and then as they don't meet their dreams and lose money they succumb to spamming the forum so that maybe their luck changes...
13678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crucial time for bitcoin! on: December 08, 2018, 03:18:15 AM
Investment in the Bitcoin infrastructure is increasing. Real investors are holding onto their wallets for the inevitable long term gains, and many more are joining them. The flight is not by the investors, but by greedy speculators who don't understand the technology, or the current world economies.

not necessarily.
in fact i do believe that drops like these are caused by people who understand the bitcoin technology and huge potential too well that is why they are trying to accumulate more of it. the drops doesn't occur slowly, it usually is caused by a big offload of BTC on the exchanges that crashes it down with a sharp drop. that leaves me to believe that it is whales selling to crash the price not other investors, they follow the drop afterwards.
13679  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats wrong with the market? on: December 08, 2018, 03:10:15 AM
Craig Wright is selling bitcoin’s to pump his shitcoin BCH SV.

Evidence here -

BCH SV has gone up 160% in the last 2 weeks whilst bitcoin dumps.
There is no coincidence!

And look at the last 24 hrs - Up over 20% - Bitcoin dumped overnight Sad

him pumping BSV doesn't mean he is also dumping BTC. in fact as i said a lot of times before i seriously doubt that he even has enough bitcoin to sell and really affect the bitcoin price in any meaningful sense. and even if he had he wouldn't sell something so valuable that he has been trying to take over for the past years.

he is just spending his money on BSV to pump it and as the pump succeeds a little it attracts a lot of desperate investors in the market who have been losing in other altcoins to join in one of the coins that is being pumped so the pump becomes bigger.
13680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please PPL - Show Me One Promise that BTC Fullfilled? Lies&Bullshit is BTC on: December 08, 2018, 02:58:33 AM
did someone force you to buy bitcoin? NO

did someone force you to be here on a "bitcoin" forum? NO

is your time worthless? apparently yes

are you benefiting from nonsense posting here? most probably yes
