$10+ million in volume over 24 hours is a lot of fees they're missing out on.. I suspect they will want a piece of the action, which should drive interest up even further than it is now.

I think it would need to sustain bonkers volumes for a decent length of time to inspire the other big exchanges to get on board. This type of madness is an extremely fresh development.

If I remember rightly distribution to regular humanoids was somewhere around the 71% mark.

Well, I very well undertand the concept of proof, but an "official" number from a trusted team member would be satisfying for me at the moment.

It's all accessible info. Check it out here.

Quite a bit's been held back for further development and promotion and the addresses are publicly labeled.

Suffice it to say, there's a lot of demand coming from folks that have nothing to do with this here corner of the Internet. In a very real sense, it's a wake-up portent for the time when crypto becomes more mainstreamed. What happens if (say) Lisk captures the fancy of a whole bunch of folks that aren't interested in Bitcointalk? Folks like me will prolly think that (say) Lisk has gone insanely high because we won't be able to figure out where the demand is coming from.

Yup. That's the key to the next step in crypto. It really needs to leave this cesspit behind.

There'll be more coins that take off with virtually nothing to do with this place, and all the clapped out dogshit that people masturbate over here will be forever left in the dust. That's an entirely healthy and necessary thing.

Ancient history I know, but I can't find much or any mention anywhere on here of this article posted last month regarding our old friend Gox. According to this Gox was missing 80,000 BTC before Mr Karpeles even bought it.

I can't think of many open campaigns that pay that well still. It's still right up there.

You are in luck then if you live in the US this election cycle.

I'm stuck in the now island prison that is the UK. If anyone admits to being a Christian here people immediately run away screaming.

I've spent a lot of time in the US and the overt religion was pretty amazing to observe. There's no equivalent in Europe.

13688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you use Bitcoin for Flight Purchases? on: June 28, 2016, 07:22:07 PM
Expedia was always hotels only and I think they've thrown in the towel anyway. There appear to be quite a few places offering flights for BTC but I've only heard of a handful of them.
13689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you use Bitcoin for Flight Purchases? on: June 28, 2016, 06:27:42 PM
I wouldn't do it going through a broker. You hear plenty of tales of flight bookings being mangled by them and I'd want my credit card company to nail them with their evil powers.
13690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ethereum down, Bitcoin up on: June 28, 2016, 06:25:21 PM
People traded coins on Cryptsy that didn't even have a functioning blockchain any more. ETH would probably need to personally come around and punch your grandma in the quim before people walked away now.

Yes. They were intended for original stakeholders.

I never really got it myself but it's a fresh idea at least.

As nothing lasts forever, where would everyone be happy with the value settling for a while?
13693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM: What is it, and why is it skyrocketing? on: June 28, 2016, 05:48:43 PM
Wow, a near 1000 sat drop while I wasn't looking. I think that tells you plenty about how realistic this pump is.

Most early birds are taking a multiple year view as am I. This has just started rolling. I hope it doesn't become a plaything of the whales but those volumes say plenty.
13694  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-06-28]New Chinese Civil Law Draft Classifies Bitcoin as Property on: June 28, 2016, 05:10:22 PM
I can't see any explicit mention of crypto anywhere. For all we know it may end covering magic underpants in some online game and nothing else.
13695  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New poll shows atheists are no longer the least electable group in america on: June 28, 2016, 05:06:46 PM
I have never knowingly voted for a God botherer and if I did find out my candidate was one then they're out.

Yup. Bob and his pencil is going to lead us to a new dawn. I don't trust this computer shit one bit.
13697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who next do you think gonna run away with people BTC on: June 28, 2016, 04:36:35 PM
Nominate a place that promises you something in return for giving up your BTC and there is a 95-99% probability that you won't be seeing them again. Why waste time naming names?
13698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM: What is it, and why is it skyrocketing? on: June 28, 2016, 03:51:07 PM
Wondering the same.  Another scam

It's been around for way, way longer than your average piece of shit on here and has been quietly rising for multiple months. I find it very impressive how little is known about it on here. Perhaps because it hasn't followed the trajectory of your average scam coin with thousands of people hyping at every opportunity.

I have absolutely no idea what's happening or why at this moment in time other than whales getting a boner. It's likely to be getting added to a JPY exchange soon which may give it a further boost as all the interesting news about it happens in Asia. Or there might be a genuinely stunning crash.
13699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: June 28, 2016, 03:30:31 PM
New NEM wallets. I should've clarified. I'm sure plenty will never leave the exchanges so there's no real way of knowing.

It did not seem to be the case for ETH or LTC in the past though...

Totally. But just a few short days ago on this thread there was excitement about 50 new accounts being created. I say again - 50. But no doubt a happening of this magnitude will induce a wave of newcomers.
