66490 Unconfirmed Transactions Segwit ain't helping yet. Imagine that.
Transactions will not become SegWit, they have to be sent like that. And people (and, more important, businesses) will not migrate to SegWit overnight. It could take more than a month to start seeing the effects. But the path was opened, and that's important. Advertising your altcoin doesn't help it much...

haha, good action from you but as it seems local board posts are paid as others
The top post still tells about half credit. , that's maybe good, just don't motivate on localboard or if you want to post frequently, pm yahoo about that.
It was visible now because my number of posts was smaller. Usually I have more than 30 posts in a week, so the ones from local board don't make a difference. So there's no action needed from my part.

I'm not complaining , but it's fair to notify about this: Yahoo62278, you forgot to give only half credit to my local boards posts. From my calculation I deserve only 0.0253125 BTC for this week, not 0.028125 BTC

Please enlighten me.
There are indeed a lot of coins (with their own blockchain), a lot of tokens (which use established coins' block) indeed. Many are useless indeed. But some bring innovation. Some are good projects. Some are just competition to existing projects. All these are good. Innovation will bring some blockchains closer to perfection, competition between projects (businesses!) is good since will bring you a better "product" or a better price. You said there are FB ads and Google ads. Why not more? Some will pay better, some will bot be so intrusive, I don't know. If there would be only one bakery chain in your country, you'll buy the worse quality and most expensive bread. Is that what you want?!

Well done Core devs, this is a huge step forward. I have high hopes that soon enough this procedure becomes something used by everybody at a daily basis. Cheap and fast Bitcoin payments, wow. And this will also help - hopefully - to decrease or at least avoid the tx spam we are facing for quite some time now.

Can you please point me to some existing coins with anonymous/untraceable txs, and maybe some ICOs?
I know about XMR, XSPEC, PIVX, ZCASH, DASH, VERGE, CLOAKCOIN
I'll add to your list: AEON - Cryptonote coin, value low, mining is not very difficult yet. Byteball - While its BYTES are not, the BlackBytes are anonymous, from what I've read.

Thanks for confirming I was reading it correctly. I'll keep an eye on the transaction fee then and wait until it drops.
Since all you want to do is migrate, it's enough to export the private key from multibit classic and create a wallet in Electrum with that key. I think that you did that and it that case you have plenty of time to wait for the best moment. I think that even 50$ fee is high and in your case can be avoided. I use to watch the graph at the bottom of this page: https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-txWhen the mempool size becomes very low (let's say under 5MB?) then it's your moment to consolidate your inputs / transfer your Bitcoin. Then you'll be able to play with fees like 10 satoshi/byte or even lower. Since SegWit is now activated, I expect the mempool drop fast, so the 5MB is, hopefully, less than 2 days away. Edit: on a second thought, it may take longer than the initially estimated 2 days...

If you could point me in the right direction it would be really helpful.
I am looking for a trustworthy physical visa/mastercard card that I can use without verification in Canada.
I only need about 500 USD /month to spend in POS and online.
I need the ability to withdraw around 500 USD / month from ATM .
Due to the small limit I need, fees are not my biggest concern , mostly looking for a secure unverified card I can use a couple times a month.
I ordered a wirex card already, upon reading the thread it seems people are complaining so I am worried.
Thanks !
Wirex is working pretty OK. Most of issues seem to get fixed, if there's patience. But I don't advise you Wirex because of the limits. Since 1-2 months ago Wirex limits for unverified cards dropped a lot, it's some 250 EUR for the whole card's lifetime, so it's not what you need.

I could do the Romanian translation for the ANN, if it's not taken yet. I've done a number of ANN translations in the past.
Edit 2017-08-25: Please PM me if accepted to know I can start working on it. Links to graphics would also help.

Bitcoin price fluctuates a lot, it's the subject of massive speculation. Some people will say it's because of BCH, some people will say it's the uncertainty because of miners (miners leaving, miners want a new fork, whatever). Some will tell that Bitcoin will reach $1M, some will tell that Bitcoin is doomed and will become dust very soon.
That's why people have to invest only what they afford to lose: it's a risky business.
Bitcoin seems to head back to $4k levels, which I can't deny I like.

The forks are just all part of the process....They're a necessary part of the evolution of the platform. The problem isn't really the forking---> the problem is that the forked chains aren't dying fast enough, right? If you think about it, as long you're hodling, then you're guaranteed to be hodling something on the winning chain. They're ALL bitcoin, just different species of bitcoin, and you want to be hodling the species that is the most adaptable to this ever changing environment, right? Maybe it's time to start thinking in non-binary terms----> it's not REALLY one or the other because they're really all just one interconnected "fuzzy chain."
EDIT: Can you tell that the weed's getting good in California?
The problem is that some forks become altcoins with quite confusing names and quite big claims on Bitcoin legacy. But it's about money and power, so it's not unexpected for this to happen. And we may have forks even this year, however, the last fork was imho a bigger success than many have expected.

I MUST SAY IF EVERYONE AT WIREX WAS MICHEAL THERE WOULD BE NO ISSUES WITH THERE SERVICE AT ALL, THANK YOU MICHEAL
I'll subscribe to this. I can say that from the issues I had at Wirex, while all were solved in a way or another (some could have been done much better), Michael's approach was always the one I liked the most. The others seem to need to learn more, from the technical stuff to public relations. Edit: just to make it clear, all my issues are fixed, I am a pretty happy Wirex customer.

Boom!
Love to start the day with green candles.... Hello Monero, enjoyed your holiday?
Impressive week-end! I'm curious now if this trend will continue or we'll see a correction, especially when America will wake up. I wouldn't mind though to see it grow to 0.02 and beyond

No time to read everything. If someone can answer in short I'll tip.
I have several 10 BTC addresses (well before the snapshot). What do I do to easily claim the coin?
You go to https://www.bitcore.cc/ and follow the steps. You'll have to sign a message from each of those wallets. The message is the same, iirc it's BTX. You'll need a BTX address too, you can use cryptopia.

I asked if its troll post because he has bigger activity on forum than I do (so one would expect he lerned something by now), and he also claimed to study computer sciences in another post
Wow Thanks. I didn't really study his background before answering. I always think that if I don't help the poster, maybe I help others that search for the same topic. And with this price of Bitcoin, I expect many to try to mine alts and sell for Bitcoin... Still sad to see trolls in action when many others have good intentions..

Follow this.
1.Fill exchange ETH address
2.Select the XID token amount you want and click on the tab and wait for the default gas price to change or you can set 100k for faster transaction (just like 0.0005 BTC or 0.001 BTC miner fee)
3.No advanced data is necessary here.
3.Once done you are good to go.
and don't forget to lower the gas price before you open your wallet, you will pay much less ( for example you can change 21gwei to 10gwei, the transaction will take some minutes but there is no problem and you pay less fees) Many thanks for help to both of you. I managed to transfer the tokens. The transfer cost was 10x smaller than estimated (so it was 0.30$ instead of 3$). This left me with some ETH in my wallet which I managed to also transfer back to an exchange. All in all it's a success, despite the horror stories I've read on reddit

Wow 0.1 ETH is ... 30$. Is token sending so expensive?! I've got something similar somewhere (it was actually 0.5 ETH) and I thought I misunderstood it. Is there a way to calculate more exactly how much ETH I need? I mean that even 1 day to have the transaction processed is OKay, as long as it gets processed at all. Also, I am using MyEtherWallet (I can actually used whatever wallet you recommend); if I set the amount = the number of XID I have and I select XID instead of ETH from the combo box I am good to go? As I said, I don't want to do something wrong and lose them all. They're not a fortune, but still... Thanks for your help so far. Make that 0.01 ETH, it would hardly take fewer gas fees. Check this sample transaction https://etherscan.io/tx/0x7495acaf3586e0741ddb17af5b3b3427a8bacb18e19250643fd63fba14b709b7 and the gas price in ether used. I just said 0.1 ETH to have it ready if there are different tokens in the wallet. OK, 0.01 ETH sounds much better. The transaction doesn't help much since it sends ETH and not tokens. And I don't really know how to read it. In MyEtherWallet I'll fill: To address: the exchange address. Amount to send: my amount; and I pick XID from combobox. Gas limit: 10000 Can you please check for me if this is what I have to fill and what amount of Gas to write? Is there anything else to set since is a token (and not ETH) transfer? (Advanced/Add data?!) Thanks again.

I need some help.
I've got some XID (from the bounty) and unfortunately I have to convert them into fiat. Just I am quite lost with ETH. It's the ecosystem I somehow kept avoiding.
So.. I have an ETH wallet with only these XID in them and I have to send them to Cryptopia. Do I need ETH at all? What is that Gas? Or even better: is somebody kind enough to guide me in this? As you can see I'm quite lost. And since I've read on reddit that if I do something wrong (I didn't understand what) my tokens are lost forever, I better ask for guidation...
Or should I ask in the ETH threads?
Let me help you out. First, you need some ETH to send the XID to other ETH address/exchange ETH address. This ETH is called gas which is the transaction fee. So add some 0.1ETH to your wallet and if you are using myetherwallet, it determines the gas price by own when sending a specific amount of coins. If not you can set a default gas value of 100k when sending the tokens and it should reach within a few minutes.
