13761  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s11 has low hashrate on: June 22, 2020, 12:56:46 PM
The s11 and I never got together. So I don't know a good log when I one. But the logs mention s9+.

So maybe  you did a bad flash?

First off. if it was working why did you flash it.

badddd baddd boy Grin. never flash if you gear is working

I don't know how to help other then to say live with it.

maybe it uses less power.
13762  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Has anyone been using whatsminer 5.0.2 to control gear. on: June 22, 2020, 02:06:30 AM
I only have 5 whatsminers

2m10
2m20s
1m21s

but whatsminer 5.0.2 is nice for remote you can do every unit and instantly see your stats for all your models.

I may want more of these.
13763  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS S 17 pro ASIC - on: June 22, 2020, 01:29:37 AM
I am sure he would want 900 for 1 piece not for the 2.

I made an offer for 855 why would he ask less.

@ op   I will offer 905 for 1

since I am a leading escrow the deal is simple   ship it to me up front I will pay you 905 in btc upon arrival.

I am in New Jersey

I would buy all 7

 1 at a time for 905 each.

 or just buy 2

 1 at a time for 905 each

 so others can get some.

 I

offer to buy 1 at a time to make deal comfortable to you as people fear larger commitments.

most people talking to you will want me or have used me to do escrows.

My real name and address is very well known and I have escrowed 100 plus deals for many people since  I joined in 2012

  2014 was first escrow iirc

you can read my trust. pages

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=64507

here is my eBay page

https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/philipma1957

I don't sell there any more but I sold over 100,000 in gear there with perfect feedback

tons and tons of great feed back for my sales.

I have prefect record here and on ebay.

I work at it.  I will continue to do so.
13764  Economy / Computer hardware / I shut down some gear L3+ and S9 and Apw3+ and 6 nice ryzen pc's on: June 21, 2020, 11:19:29 PM
So USA only pay 💰 me the shipping from zip code 07731 plus

so you must take an Apw3+ and  L3+.  33 plus shipping or best offer

or an Apw3+ and s9.     35 plus shipping   or best offer

no mods just cleaned and tested.
so for an example you are in maryland I am in nj
cost to ship is 17 ups
you want a s9 and apw3+ you pay me 35 for them I charge you 17 plus 33 = 50
you pay in btc I ship.
goes without saying if you live near New Jersey shipping is cheap.

I have at least  6 sets of L3+ with apw+
I have at least. 4 sets of s9 with apw+

subject to change as I will check ebay costs and see what lowest buy it nows are.

Note prices are changed.

33 for a l3+ and a psu
35 for an s9 and a psu

I will do a meet in New Jersey
Like in a Target parking lot.
13765  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Miners 500-1000 Watts on: June 21, 2020, 10:42:15 PM
yeah but costly.

I did get some s9 hashboard replacement kit gear.

from another asic builder then bit main.

I have done a lot of testing of them.

and have a thread here in hard ware.

I made a lot of one board miners using s9 shells getting 54 to 58 watts a th. quiet and can do 275 watts to 410 watts on a one board build.

the builder has not given me a price for 10,50,100,500 boards.

as I would be willing to get them.

It would be a decent hobby miner at a low cost.
13766  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Post halving life - What are you doing with the farm? on: June 21, 2020, 05:55:09 PM
Here we are about three jumps into the new 1/2 ing

so far no major riots near the warehouse.  That is a relief.

We shut down all the s9s

we have 1.2 ph in 40 pieces of mixed gear.

all run at 60 watts or less

the ware house owner has 10 working s17pro units. all had to clock to normal due to heat. just about 525 th

so grand total 1.725 ph I guess we avg under 50 watts.

a couple of gpu rigs

and we shut down the l3+  since ltc has dropped in price and risen in diff.

I know there are far more efficient ltc miners out there then the l3 the l5  and the a10

I was offered to preorder 2gh ltc miners using only 1200 watts. I suspect these are mining now which

dropped ltc price and lowered my ltc daily earnings from .5 ltc to .3 ltc

So I have 23 idle l3+ units. I have 28 idle s9 units  I converted 7 to braiins low power heaters sold them off. I have 3  changed into mystery hashboard s9 miners so only 18 intact idle s9 units.

As for covid-19 I and my wife tested negative for antibodies.  But i have found that the antibody test only works well for 1-2 months after you have had disease.

Since I was sick from Jan 1 to Jan 25 and my wife was sick from Dec 31 to Feb 20 there is a very real possibility we had it and cleared the antibodies from out system.

There is a long thread on reddit about this.

short version is your body can not and should not hold every antibody it has ever made.
it would very likely cause immunity disorders like arituis . So antibodies clear at different speeds.

the guess is 1/2 life for covid-19 is 3 weeks.

so for my wife
    march 12=50%
    april.     2=25%
    april.   23=12.5%
    may.    14= 6.25%
    june.      4= 3.125%
june.     16 test day.   would drop her under 2%

I would be lower as I got better  3 weeks sooner.

the good thing is you body has memory cells which should remember how to make the correct antibody
if you are exposed to covid-19 again

the common cold is a good example of this.

enough for the science 🧬 lesson.

back to mining ⛏

we have the smaller 1 acre array at buy solars house
the ware house is on hold for a solar build out until after election in november

as all of us fear more unrest until election happens.

this summer we are going to mine and hold.

i may get two pieces of gear.

m30s
m31s

and nothing else.
13767  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: how can i replace P5 M3x PSU with server PSU? on: June 21, 2020, 04:07:35 PM
if I buy this https://pangolinminer.com/product/p5-power-supply-unit-for-m3x-shipout-in-7-days/ and ship to usa. it is 105 + 106 to ship = 211

https://postcalc.usps.com/Calculator/MailServices?country=10206&ccode=IR&omil=False&dmil=False&mdt=6%2F22%2F2020&mdz=11%3A59&m=12

USA allows shipping to Iran I would need to pay 87 to ship to you so 211+87 = 298

Simply too much cost to be worth it.

And Most likely my government will put me a  potential terrorist list because I shipped it to you.

You need to find someone in Asia that has an old one this is will to sell it to you.

Your diy idea could be good. but these OEM psu's talk to the controller. I don't know how to get past that issue.

I have a m20s I got a replacement p21 psu I had a p20 psu.

In order for the psu and miner to work I had to reprogram the controller.

In my case microbt/whatsminer gave me a firmware patch.

In your case I do not know how to program the controller to work with the diy psu.

EVGA 1600 G2

this is good but costly

APW5 is the way to go for R4's. I've two R4's running in my office for two years now, the APW5's are super quiet.

this is good.

I have one of them.  They will do about 1200 watts on a 110/120 circuit very very very quiet

13770  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Some very 'bad' news on s19 shipments. on: June 21, 2020, 12:48:15 PM
Okay Miner Expert official sales channel posted this on telegram

this is the link to read it

According to deep tide and block rhythm reports, Zhanke Tuan requested the Shenzhen factory to detain the miners of paid miners.  A miner who ordered the Ant S19 mining machine said that the Ant S19 series mining machine originally scheduled for shipment on Saturday had no news of delivery.

One Bitmain employee said, "It has been informed that the Shenzhen company can only execute the orders of legal representatives. A few days ago, a car was stopped to leave the factory door, and no car to pick up the goods in the past few days."

We confirmed from multiple channels that Shenzhen shipments are indeed at a standstill.  Analysis shows that if the two parties fail to negotiate to solve this problem in a timely manner, leading to the delayed delivery of the futures paid by the miners, it may cause very bad consequences.  After all, the miners receive the machine one day later, that is, they earn one day less money, and the mine’s electricity bill will be paid if it is not done. No one knows how to call it "Jade and Stone Burning", and "Fishing the Nets".

According to Coindesk, Igor Runets, CEO of BitRiver, one of Russia’s largest mining custodians, said that customers are not satisfied with the long waiting time, partly due to internal problems, and many of his customers have turned to Bitmain’s main  Competitor Shenma mining machine.

What is more pessimistic is that because Zhan controls the supply chain and Wu controls the finances, the delivery problem will be deadlocked for a long time. This deadlock will not be solved unless one party has completely obtained all powers, such as Wu regaining the legal person in Beijing, or Zhan winning in the Cayman court, or one party negotiating to withdraw.

What does this mean?

Delays for your gear if you purchased from bitmain.

how long

I have zero idea.

Shenma = what's miner

13772  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Two Antminer S17 problems on: June 20, 2020, 10:01:31 PM
you may need to pull the controller and shift some jumpers.   you have to do it on s9 controllers I have a youtube video that shows how to move the pins:
this is an s9 controller

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-tLR6sEVQs

i lifted this shot from my video above.  I have a blue square around a chip and just to the right are the jumpers I mention.

This is for an s9. hoping some one will mention a s17 controller

A quote literally answering the question you were presenting is not good enough?
I addressed that quote here and also in my follow up question here:
Last of the V8s is an official owner of an extra large tin of ball polish, he gets a pass.
I'm still unsure what exactly he's being accused of. Wiping his Trust list, using only DefaultTrust, and then making a new Trust list doesn't seem like such a bad thing to me.
I'm still not sure what you (@TECSHARE) are trying to say: do you want V8 to not get a pass? Or do you want others to get a pass too?

I commend you and several other members that continue to engage with them in a civil manner even though you get next to nothing in return from them in simple coherent messages. I wish I had your temperament and patience to deal with these attention seeking good-for-nothing members that have created their own gang within a gang to cause disruption to the forum but it was easier for me to simply give up and IGNORE them all.
I've put some users on ignore, but TECSHARE isn't one of them, I don't consider him to be "bad". He seems to be on a mission to improve the Trust system, I think his intentions are good, and he sticks to his believes even though many people seem to disagree.

I want there to be consistent, objective, and equitable rules, not purely a popularity contest which currently determines the current trust system.

as do i, but I also want world peace, no racism ,more proper wealth distribution and the end of all pandemics.

None of which is very likely to happen.

13777  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T17/S17 malfunction: cases, solutions, remedies, RMA history on: June 19, 2020, 01:52:27 AM
Well the s9. had a lot of bad batches say 4 to 11 way back say. sept 2016.

It came out in April 2016. batches 1,2,3 were decent. Then a drop off.

but in feb 2017 on they got their shit together.  They put out a lot of s9's they worked for 2 years or more.

The s15 and t15 came and gone quick under a year
The s17 and t17 lasted a year- 14 months . say April 2019 to  June 2020

Now the s19 are out.

So no time spent on bettering the gear has been spent.

Also. I am willing to bet that. a ton of s17 gear was burnt due to too much over clock.

But that is another guess.
13778  Other / Meta / Re: DT1-strength of 194 users in 68 weeks (weekly updates) on: June 18, 2020, 07:03:22 PM
A suggestion would be to drop loyce and theymos.

Or at least drop theymos from these charts.

Yeah no need for theymos to be included in these ratings.

and maybe drop satoshi if he is still on list.
13779  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmain delivery performance on: June 18, 2020, 06:52:32 PM
I've had trouble with orders from China for a while. A few suppliers using DHL have been quite reliable but other suppliers and other carriers, pretty dismal. I had some flashlight housings paid for in April, tracking stopped updating May 12th, and then suddenly they landed in Chicago two days ago. That was Express shipping. Some masks purchased in April, expected delivery by May 12th (I've got family in ill-supplied medical jobs), tracking hasn't updated since May 3rd. They all just keep saying "be patient".

Yeah

two express from China in transit since May 1 and May 9

and a fedex from China delayed from June 2 to June 12
