That's not a type of a team which is managed by Pep. Manchester will focus on both competitions, there is no reasons to ignore the domestic competition. Both titles are important, so they will struggle to achieve the best as they can.

Very unlikely of Pep to focus on just one tournament, at least not at this stage. Man City also has a great squad that can help focus on both competitions, Liverpool were finalist in the last year's UCL and will definitely be focusing on that as well.

Yup! Not only is it a personality trait of Pep, it's a personality trait for any team who want to be:
- regular champions
- have the depth in squad to do that (and City have at least 2 good teams to field, if not 3. I mean having a 3rd choice attacker in Riyad Mahrez?
- have the finances to push on all domestic and European fronts.

They're only 13 games away from an unprecedented Quadruple. You think they don't want to make history?
13762  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-31] Bitcoin [BTC] ETF: SEC stalls proposal yet again; decision pushed.. on: April 01, 2019, 06:50:06 AM
Anyone surprised by this news has to be naive. Government itself's been down for a while and needs to catch up with other more important things. A BTC ETF's surely got to be far down their agenda. If they had time for it, they'd just shoot it down permanently and nail a few justifications to that coffin.

Additionally, ETF will "hurt" Bitcoin on long term since it will make people think bitcoin as investment rather than cryptocurrency.
Crypto exchanges have already made sure of that. Their next scam that drives people nuts are IEOs, and we're at the very beginning of another massive wave of hype and fomo.

Investment's too good a word for that. I think they're treating it as a quick money flip. And damn these IEOs. Couldn't escape not knowing them from the emails that managed to get past my spam. And of course Bittrex shilling theirs. People will fall for that, sadly.
13763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 31, 2019, 05:31:01 PM
I know it's an own goal, but if it wasn't for Salah's never-say-die attitude and a great head that never dips down, we'd never have had that goal. Good game, you Reds! We're were still on edge with the game going to 7th min injury time, probably 3 mins added on to that clash of heads with Fabinho, but damn this was an entertaining game. Chances went begging, a lot of frustrated faces, but damn that was a hell of a winning goal.

City, you're going to have to really fight for this. And Spurs, don't worry, you can still beat City, knock them out too, why not?

@tokeweed. Really unexpected Sunday isn't it?Wink
13764  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's for sale at your Craigslist? on: March 31, 2019, 05:21:30 PM
Probably not a coincidence, given where I am at this current time (Netherlands), but my local Craigslist is showing me Cannabis-related items. Here's the Bitcoin merchandise at a bigger city's listing: https://amsterdam.craigslist.org/search/sss?crypto_currency_ok=1

Probably not a surprise to find in Netherlands:
- a decent variety of listings. NL's a Bitcoin-friendly place and home to 2 events this week for Coinfest
- bicycles sold for BTC. Bikes are stolen every day, there are probably 2 for every person here! And enforcement can't be bothered to check;)

Now see the first physical item for offer in Amsterdam: https://amsterdam.craigslist.org/bpo/d/anchor-chain/6845771455.html

An ANCHOR CHAIN. Sturdy stuff, this;)
13765  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bestmixer or chipmixer? on: March 31, 2019, 04:07:07 PM
Let not the many ChipMixer campaign participants like myself sway the opinion, as pointed out above, it's not just 2 mixers, and it's really down to the user's objective to choose what's right. Privacy is the prize at stake, and you can't afford to overlook your options if you're serious about it.

Don't forget, basic behaviours also help increase the levels of privacy. It doesn't matter if you mix and tumble and in the end identify your coins by reusing addresses or even staking identities to addresses (I do this myself for practical economic reasons but I wouldn't do those things to txs and coins I'd like to keep private).

Also, there are more wallet options like Wasabi Wallet, Samourai, etc. that give you more privacy control as you transact.
13766  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-30]Art & Blockchain: Picasso Painting Discovered in Netherlands on: March 31, 2019, 01:41:37 PM
@Vlad, I enjoy your articles as much as the next guy but maybe you should be telling the writers to stop making such a frivolous case for blockchain. Stick to the stories and the facts, news is news and we can put up with quite a lot, but think about what they're saying. You might end up doing more harm than good for the argument of blockchain in industry.

I personally don't think all these blockchain use case for luxury items will do much good. Certainly won't prevent theft. If anything, it helps thieves prove they got the real stuff. I mean, imagine if you're seeing things on the black market and you can verify they're genuine. Then the black market would stop being able to sell fakes so easily... encouraging theft of authentic art.

Just saying... you can counter one poorly-constructed argument with another.
13767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 31, 2019, 12:11:52 PM
I'm hoping Fulham are rejuvenated and City get cocky for the opener. I can dream, can't I?

Yeah, you can until half our in the match when City will have 0:2 or similar  Cheesy I would like to see them spill some points and give LFC a chance to lift the trophy but I don't see that happening this week.

City has 2 super easy games and since I can't capitalize on that by betting (odds are very low) I decided to fill my Fantasy squad with attacking City assets. I need Aguero to score a shitload of goals, preferably on Sterling assists. I can dream, cant't I?

Your powers of City prediction are scary. I was fully expecting the HT 0:2 to double or triple though. Ageuro's probably going to win the Golden Boot on this kind of form

I feel confident of a victory today against Spurs. If they do the favour of playing an open game it will be fantastic entertainment no doubt, as long as Mane keeps his current finishing the way it's been since February. Maybe Salah breaks his drought, Firminho finds his touch again. Spurs are the most likely to knock off points to the either Red or Sky Blue, but I hope we benefit from it.
13768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Volume on: March 31, 2019, 11:59:51 AM
According to the book of Enrique Valdecantos, the injection of institutional money can represent one of the first laws that Wyckoff proposes and fulfills in the market, which is: Law of Effort-Result, which, Strong Hands raise price with a high volume to verify the offer, see if they can test the zones with different prices.

But what most of these people on the sidelines are waiting for is in fact the entrance of new institutional money. Taking into account Strong Hands would take the assumption that institutional money is already inside, but that they will now continue to accumulate, and when that accumulation starts in a cyclical period of intensity, that's when the Result begins to show.

If you believe in the strong hands and accumulation theories, then you surely can't believe we're still waiting for institutional money.
13769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +6,209 units | 253 bets on: March 31, 2019, 08:43:07 AM
How many times have Wolves lost me parlays? I can't remember now, lost count. Big shame too, now I know why the odds weren't in their favour. Bookies knew something I didn't, and I underestimated Burnley's desire to remain in the EPL.

Today's a huge game for my beloved Reds, so there's no way to avoid them in my parlay, completed by Portsmouth grabbing a couple of goals against their rivals in League One, Sunderland. That's some nostalgia for me, as they were not too long ago in the Premier League.

Game 1: Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspurs. Liverpool WIN @1.57. Betcoin odds: 1.57
Game 2: Portsmouth vs Sunderland. Portsmouth WIN @2.66. Betcoin odds: 2.62
100 units parlay at Bitcoinrush @4.1887. Betcoin parlay: 4.1

Odds advantage: 2.21%
Units advantage: 8.87

Running advantage after 255 bets: +6,234.37 (+8.87 units)

Running units after 254 bets (59W|195L): +3,365.65 (-100 units)

13770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can New Animated Series 'Bitcoin and Friends' Make Bitcoin Fun Again? on: March 31, 2019, 08:22:35 AM
Thanks for the comments guys, it's art, so of course there's a lot of ways to do it, and I agree, the content may not be pleasant for everyone... which is what the article warns about when it says "less sanitised" than the actual video.

Make Bitcoin fun again? Lol. The truth is that the majority of the world population believe that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are basically a ponzi scheme and that they will fade away with time thanks to all the controversies which is why a single cartoon will not change their perception of it.

Time is the solution to this problem. With time, they will understand that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have some value and they might change their perception.

I think the team behind it thinks that a lot of people take Bitcoin too seriously. Just only need to look up the latest Twitterstorms to see personalities slugging it out over bragging rights on "who knows better" or "who makes more compelling argument".

Like it or not, if it's mainstream adoption that people really want, they've got to really enjoy Bitcoin first.
13771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can New Animated Series 'Bitcoin and Friends' Make Bitcoin Fun Again? on: March 30, 2019, 07:37:16 PM
Not sure if this has been posted before, but a new cartoon on Youtube was launched yesterday. I enjoyed the trailer and the first episode, I think the amount asked for is worth 100x more than any ICO I've ever seen.

What do you guys think? First Episode: Tears of a Clown here.

Excerpt from the article:

A hand reaches out in the dim, a keyboard clack. Command lines flood up on a screen to the tinkling of electronic clatter. An orange sphere enters view, the command to awake received. No, wait, a coin. With a marking below his face perhaps interpretable as the 'B' alphabet.

A confused, shaky greeting is the first utterance from 'B' as its creator looms over him. A cryptic message is issued. Then he is abandoned. Left to discover who or what his nature is in an unforgiving world.

Yet 'B' is not without friends.
13772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 30, 2019, 05:35:09 PM
Bloody hell, lost my parlay on Wolves AGAIN. They have single-handedly lost me the most money this season, and it's so frustrating because they're actually so good. I suppose I should have expected Burnley to be fighting for their lives... but the way the Mexicans were playing during the internationals, I thought Wolves were good for 2 goals at least.

@tomahawk yeah City could have scored more but they sauntered to this one even with that scoreline.
13773  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in the Event of a Global Economic Crisis on: March 30, 2019, 12:42:48 PM
I feel in two ways about this. On one hand, guys like us in Bitcoin might feel we have a better chance of seeing things go well for us. That's not guaranteed though. End of the day, money flows into bitcoin and if money isn't doing well, it's not flowing.

On the other hand, a crisis means economic hardship. It means no jobs. No business. My friends and family, they're not Bitcoiners. They will be hit hard, and therefore, so will I.

I'm certain we are headed for another crisis, it comes every decade or so, and seems to reverberate globally... So like it or not, we'll be in the thick of it.

When it comes, I'd rather have Bitcoin than not.
13774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 30, 2019, 11:36:02 AM
I expect a draw as you do but not at a low score than you proposed.
Both teams has quality players and I think that they are going to score many goals as they are both aggressive at the attacking part maybe a score that I would bet is 2-2 which will have a good odd for it.

play at antfield I think liverpool will play well because of their fans. Liverpool will fight for victory. Tottenham I am sure will have difficulty facing an attack from Liverpool. Prediction score 2-0 for Liverpool. Liverpool will avoid draw or lose to stay away from ManC. Tottenham in the last 5 EPL matches can only win once ,1 draw with 3 defeats. while Liverpool in 5 matches has not been defeated 3 wins and 2 draws. I am sure Tottenham are not in good standing.

Look, I'm Liverpool all the way but this will be a tough match no matter what. Spurs on the back of a really bad patch of games, Kane scoring yet still losing? A point from this game just 4 matches ago would have been great but they need 3 points to stay in contention for Champions League. It won't be easy for the Reds at all, but good, as it won't be easy for City either.

We'll win, but we will have to claw for every blade of grass. Good thing VVD is really good at that.
13775  Economy / Speculation / Re: GAME game *game* "GAME" QUARTER PREDICTIONS on: March 30, 2019, 10:07:28 AM
Almost forgot that this is a day away from closing! And we all know the past Sundays haven't exactly been too boring. Sunday, 31st March, end of the quarter, all that weight of expectations for 2019 closing out when we were told we'd get Bakkt, and all that. Crypto spring yet to show its face but hey, good times for hodlers, hope someone I know wins;)

hmmm this is getting interesting. Smiley

If you win, it's almost exactly $500 (let's account for fees shan't we?). Sweet like sugar.
13776  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-28] The Economist: Bitcoin revival unlikely.... on: March 30, 2019, 09:38:43 AM
It is accurate in some sense, within some context, and certainly for the medium term. Those who invested near the ATH are clutching at anything these days just to see some recovery (because they're not the holders, they're the ones who got in at the hype, with wholly unrealistic expectations). The article probably fails to mention that the bust is only the latest in several cycles... though of course because of the volumes and values associated, it's the one glaring back at you every time you see that chart.

It's still the best-performing asset by far, compared to anything in the past decade. But only if you got in before mid-2017.
13777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +6,209 units | 253 bets on: March 30, 2019, 08:33:38 AM
Should have gone for the home favourites. West Brom overcame some nerves to claw their way back to victory but Leverkusen were absolutely hammered after equalising... they just lost their mojo after crashing out of Europa it seems.

Thank God for EPL, here's to Wolves and Jimenez helping Burnley on the way to relegation (I think they'll still stay up though), and Palace and Leicester to score important home wins.

Game 1: Burnley vs Wolverhampton Wanderers. Wolves WIN @2.48. Betcoin: 2.47
Game 2: Crystal Palace vs Huddersfield. Palace WIN @1.45. Betcoin: 1.44
Game 3: Leicester City vs Bournemouth. Leicester WIN @1.85. Betcoin: 1.83
100 units parlay at Bitcoinrush @6.6643. Betcoin parlay: 6.5089

Odds advantage: 2.39%
Units advantage: 15.54

Running advantage after 254 bets: +6,225.5 (+15.54 units)

Running units after 253 bets (59W|194L): +3,465.65 (-100 units)
13778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 30, 2019, 08:18:46 AM
The day hath come upon us, gentleman. First match kicks off in about 4 hours, so make sure you get your predictions in. It's a bumper "week" in the sense of SuperBru, but only the first 10 matches count towards the weekly high scores for that cash prize, but this means we could see a big movement in our own leaderboard.

I'm hoping Fulham are rejuvenated and City get cocky for the opener. I can dream, can't I?
13779  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC might do something nice soon. TA only ( No crystal Ball/s) on: March 29, 2019, 05:24:18 PM
If it's true that every single time the 50 SMA breach happens right after a close above 20SMA , I think you deserve credit for pointing out that out. Call my horizons narrow but I swear I haven't seen someone say this.

So, 3850 the level to watch for on Sunday and then we head up of the medium term? I've a crystal ball feeling we won't even see 3900 until Monday.

Pretty decent comparison, but what about relative activity or volume? Are those also matching up?
13780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Movie ‘Crypto’ Shows Hollywood’s Total Misguidedness on: March 29, 2019, 03:17:29 PM
Why would anyone want to watch a technically correct film about crypto? Crypto is no more than a platform to extract drama just the same as anything else.

No one cares about an accurate portrayal. They want exploding tits, a glans the size of a grapefruit smeared all over the lens and cars that get horny.

Yeah guys, come on. It's a film. Entertainment. I enjoy myself thoroughly suspending my beliefs for movies like Raid Redemption where a guy can go on fighting unarmed scene after scene, surviving injuries that would have killed me a hundred times over.

I'm sure we can try and forgive Crypto for making this a blockbuster of tropes. Who wants to see pale people sharing code in mailing lists and experts knocking it out on forums for bragging rights on most shared views?

Favourite trailer scene from crypto: the compliance officer finding folder labelled "Kickbacks".

I do prefer my tits unexploded though.
