13781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 2: Barboza vs Gaethje Prediction and Info Thread on: March 28, 2019, 05:30:51 PM
Also, Conor has announced his retirement from MMA.

Read in full https://www.mmanews.com/conor-mcgregor-announces-his-retirement-from-mma-again/

He was not very happy with UFC. And to tell the truth, he wasn't given fair treatment by the UFC (probably because he was non-American). But that is no valid reason to stay out of MMA altogether. There are other brands out there, such as Bellator and DREAM. But the financials may not be as strong as UFC.
13782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Do u Like to Bet? on: March 28, 2019, 05:25:44 PM
I can bet on many sports since I know the rules but I look for value.
Even so much as cricket recently when I see good odds.
I must say I enjoy betting sports that are 1 vs 1 and not teams.

Which sites you use for cricket betting? I mostly use bet365 (although online betting is banned in my country). The problem with Bet365 is that they don't accept Bitcoin payments. And using a CC is not safe for me, as it is illegal in my country.
13783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners now labelled as Right-wing extremists! LoL on: March 27, 2019, 04:00:09 AM
Just take a look at the Politics & Society sub-forum. The orientation was centrist to moderate-right until a few years back, but now most of the users are those with leftist and far-leftist ideology. The moderator is also far-left, and constantly deletes any post that is even remotely to the right-wing. The media need to check their facts before generalizing more than 100 million people!!!
13784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the end near for ripple ? on: March 27, 2019, 03:52:38 AM
Ripple is still holding up pretty well and in terms of market cap there is only $2 billion difference with the 2nd ranked crypto (ETH). But there is no doubt that it is a very shady currency. It has achieved a relatively large market cap by keeping most of the tokens out of free-float.
13785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Bitcoin Cash rise quickly? on: March 27, 2019, 03:47:37 AM
I think that Bitcoin Cash has no future. The rise in prices at present is just speculation in the market.

The prices are down, but that doesn't mean that there is no future for the currency. The powerful backers are still there (Roger Ver, Jihan Wu.etc) and even now BCH is ranked #6 in terms of market cap. And the current downturn can be attributed mostly to the market correction.
13786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 27, 2019, 03:43:34 AM
Delhi started well but 4 quick wickets jolted then and now they are 128/6 in 17.4 overs . They would reach maximum of 150 which would not be enough to contain the CSK batsman . Seems Delhi will take some time to open their winning account .
They finished at 147 and as you mentioned I don't think it's enough to beat CSK.
Almost 8 players can play well in CSK so unless DC bowl extra ordinarily they will lose this one according to me.

CSK is the most balanced team out there. It has the best Indian (Raina, Dhoni, Rayudu, Jadeja.etc) as well as the overseas players (Watson, Bravo.etc) and the backing from financial heavyweights. And for now the spin bowling spot has been taken care of by Harbhajan.
13787  Economy / Economics / Re: Low BTC price is good for Bitcoins at the moment. on: March 27, 2019, 03:39:41 AM
I don't think that this is true. Ideally, very few people would be open to making an investment in an asset, whose value is decreasing with every passing month. And the data from the major crypto-exchanges confirm my suspicion - the demand for crypto is at all time low.
13788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap faking volume on: March 27, 2019, 03:32:24 AM
The proof being quoted is still not that reliable. But I wouldn't be much surprised if that is the case. Their revenues have gone down lately, due to the falling crypto prices (they get their advertising revenue in Bitcoin or Ethereum on top of other avenues), and running a website with such fluid data requires a lot of resources and money.
13789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Do u Like to Bet? on: March 27, 2019, 03:29:08 AM
Being a resident of South Asia, cricket is the top choice for me. It is the most popular sport here (by some distance) and there are lot many options to make a bet unlike the other sports such as football and boxing. But then, match fixing is a big issue with cricket.

I have noticed, that it is becoming common to put a women fight on on the main card.
Few years ago women in ufc were something new, now almost every event has 1-2 fights.

Some women fights are more watchable than men fights unsurprisingly if the girls fighting are 2 beautiful women hehehe.

Both are 33 years old and nearing the end of their career. IMO, the best lady out there is Maryna Moroz of Ukraine. She recently lost to Angela Hill in a very keenly contested match (unanimous decision after 3rd round), but her performance was awesome.
13791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: March 27, 2019, 03:21:04 AM
What a comeback by Denmark! Switzerland were leading 3:0 until 84th minute and then crazy things happened. 3 goals in just few minutes and result is already 3:3, wow! Actually, it was really boring game to watch, but these last minutes were amazing and worth to watch.

I missed the match, but watched the highlights in YouTube. It was really crazy... first Jørgensen scored in the 84th minute to make it 3-1. Then Gytkjær made it 3-2 four minutes later. And finally Dalsgaard made it 3-3, during the third minute of extra time. 3 goals in 9 minutes!!! That said, Switzerland is still at 2nd position, as they have 4 points from 2 matches.

13793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An alternative to tether? on: March 12, 2019, 03:15:00 PM
Tether is the most reliable stablecoin out there. Other options are not that safe (such as True USD and Paxos).
13794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Best Ways To Keep Your Cryptocurrencies Safe In 2019 on: February 18, 2019, 04:34:13 PM
Only thing I have to say is not to keep any of your coins in exchanges. I lost $400 when Cryptopia went down.
13795  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Defends $3.5K After Cboe Pulls ETF Proposal on: January 30, 2019, 03:30:55 AM
By now ETF rejections should not have any impact on the exchange rates.
13796  Economy / Economics / Re: When will Apple accept bitcoins? on: January 20, 2019, 07:30:11 PM
Apple, or for that matter any other manufacturer will accept Bitcoin once it becomes popular and legal. So better wait till that happens.
13797  Economy / Economics / Re: welcome bulls , Bye bears on: January 17, 2019, 04:51:24 AM
As of now, it looks like the current state may extent to another year or two. I don't expect a recovery for the next 2 years.
13798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple will Die on: December 30, 2018, 07:00:15 PM
I don't think Ripple's gonna die. I understand that this coin is pumped and it is centralized, which means that at any moment it can pump even more.

For how long you are going to pump this coin? Eventually someone would realize that the fundamentals are weak and the crash will start.
13799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 is it the new beginning will come to crypto currencies? on: December 30, 2018, 06:58:54 PM
By reading predictions I am more and more convinced that the bear market will continue in 2019, and maybe the change will only come in 2020.
But it will also depend on the situation with classic financial market.

I am not sure, but what you are saying may become true. There needs to be a trigger for recovery in prices. And I can't foresee one in 2019.
13800  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2020 Democratic Nominee. on: December 07, 2018, 04:32:37 AM
Elizabeth Warren is too much attached with the establishment like Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders is too old. I'd go for Tulsi Gabbard, if her religion is not an issue.
