I would say the miners have rejoined BTC now BCH blocks have slowed way down even shower than after the difficulty adj (~12m) and BTC blocks are streaming in at around the expected rate maybe a bit faster that didnt take long
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 22, 2017, 08:33:59 PM
Anyone else find it interesting that the mining share for Mr Unknown has fallen to 11%

See what it like in 24 hours the difficulty just adjusted

Also I hope the miners take a few days to switch back
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 22, 2017, 08:09:18 PM
Mr Pumpy what will happen now any predictions?

He's hiding in shame  Undecided
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 22, 2017, 07:58:34 PM
Yeah brace yourselves for a month of winter now with the new diff Undecided

Amazing how BCash captured significant % of Bitcoin difficulty in the last few days, though

Temporary they will switch back now but I hope enough keep going to stop the emergency reduction manipulation
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 22, 2017, 07:43:58 PM
It is currently 140.2% more profitable to mine on the original chain. (BTC)

1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 22, 2017, 07:06:38 PM
I see Big Things happening here with Bitcoin Cash Token  $ 678.00 and Sinking.

Bigger Things are happening with The #1 Best Coin ( Bitcoin ) $ 4200.00

Well about half hour before this becomes massively less profitable possibly also unprofitable I wonder if Mr Pump will keep posting the profitability numbers now  Roll Eyes

And the price must be the new temporary miners caching out for the real bitcoin now they have made some quick gains Tongue
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 22, 2017, 06:38:53 PM
If the hash moves back to BTC, wouldn't unknown just pick up the slack back to ~90% again?  We already know "he" loves it so I think it chugs on.

Or...He just takes a 12hr breather and the difficulty drops like a rock.

The difficulty will be much higher than before but yes its possible that it will be manipulated again to cause a drop but you may find other may jump in and take up the slack to stop it especially now there are more pools setup to mine this

Whats most likely going to happen is there will be miners jumping back and forth which will cause the BTC difficulty to drop steadily until it all eventually equalises

This guy wrote
100 blocks until #BCH +300% difficulty retarget. Miners fearing drop in BCH price should switch to #BTC now.

Is this right? #BCH +300% difficulty retarget

I dont understand what it mean, (bch goes up or down?) ... sounds important

It means that Bitcoin Cash will be 300% more difficult to mine and be much much less profitable and will make BTC over twice as profitable

The fact that it says 300% must be a capped limit because it should be closer to a 600% increase but there is a maximum the difficulty can increase we will find out in a couple of hours what exactly will happen but expect miners to jump back over to BTC and a day or so after the bitcoin difficulty will drop a bit making it even more profitable
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 22, 2017, 04:27:51 PM
wtf need a hour to send bitcoin now ? and few mins to send bitcoin cash , what happened ?

The miners won't allow that they have millions locked up in BTC would you walk away from millions just to support a new chain

See how much the average time to mine a block in minutes on BTC has shot up over the last 7 days
https://data.bitcoinity.org/bitcoin/block_time/7d?f=m10&t=l

This is because of the decreasing hash power on the BTC chain with (not-yet) changed difficulty level:
https://data.bitcoinity.org/bitcoin/hashrate/30d?c=m&g=15&t=a

This would be a recipe for disaster if that trend of miner defecting continue after the next difficulty adjustment.

Bitcoin may be winning the battle for investment dollars, but when it comes to attracting mining power, competition is heating up.

After the bitcoin cash blockchain experienced a major adjustment this weekend, the less than one-month-old cryptocurrency has seen a dramatic reduction in mining difficulty, and perhaps more crucially, an increase in its profitability for those providing computing power as a means to secure its ledger.

Tomorrow's headline

Miners flee Bitcoin Cash as profibility tumbles

Checkout the mining distribution

Secret miner friend keeping wood on the fire until friends arrived

Profitability back over 100% (@ time of post)

https://cash.coin.dance/blocks

Very soon be over 100% profibility for Bitcoin BTC less than 12 hours then let's see how many miners leave for the most profitable coin followed by the bitcoin difficulty decrease the following day making Bitcoin BTC even more profitable
very soon, old bitcoin aka segwitcoin could die...something could go wrong with the downdate(usually known as an update, but this is a step backwards lol)
have you hedged?
bcc/bch will be the only choice for bitcoiners and the rest.

For the rest of this year you will find the miners just for profit jumping backward and forward to whichever is most profitable while the diehard BCH supporters like ViaBTC will probably just stick to BCH and the die hard BTC supporters will just stick to BTC and eventually we will reach a level playing ground with both of us coexisting.

You never know we might both join forces to battle against 2x lol but I can see it being a non starter but I'm still saving my forked 2x coins to be on the safe side

By the time BCH reaches $8000 bitcoin will be over $100000

Nope segwitcoin will be in a death spiral and it's chain frozen, as it no longer serves any utility purpose.

Miners will desert segwitcoin in droves due to the economics of it's lack of transaction fees as LN time locks more & more coins, depriving the miners of revenue.
Bitcoin Cash is the only way for those miners to survive segwit & LN.

╥Aztek

So making the difficulty a lot less for your New BCH makes your coin better then Bitcoin...

That just means BCH is gonna run out of coin to miner faster then Bitcoin, what going to keep your chain moving quicker. Transaction... Bitcoin covers that!

And plus you gonna flood the market with mined BCH... the coin will never have value like Bitcoin...

All I see is a Pump and Dump coin..

Listen I got a Classes to teach on Economics, I be back to argue this later.

The difficulty will adjust very quickly slowing down the generation within the next 48hours the generation on new coins will be slowed by around 400%

So some of the biggest pools with millions worth of BTC are just gonna give it all up yea keep on dreaming and no they cant just sell because it will become worthless too

Yeah, you think my IQ is low... I know why this coin was pull out of thin air for...

I Stick with The Real Bitcoin and keep my money Anonymous!

That's why your coin will keep losing value...

Miners will just dump this coin!

Yes your IQ is very very Low and You are very very Stupid.

Example :
Bitcoin is not truly anonymous, but you are too stupid to know that.

Miners will go with the most profitable coin.
Bitcoin Cash has extra code to adjust difficulty at a faster rate to compensate for the switching back and forth, old segwitcoin does not which is why a death spiral for old segwitcoin is a possibility.

The Power Players are letting the stupid sell to them at a cheaper rate, Bitcoin Cash will reach $8000 per coin within a year.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

You will find the difficulty increase will be nearer 500%

I believe there is a hard limit of +400% for a single difficulty change.

It should be 400% then thats still a huge increase and will still wipe out the profitability advantage guess we will find out in the next day or so
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 21, 2017, 06:41:29 PM

Absolutely. The diff will jump for sure in the next few days, probably 3-400% or more. My hope is that BCC can close the gap and pass BTC in terms of blocks by that time.

https://cash.coin.dance/blocks

Currently 760 blocks behind the main chain, and 24hrs ago we were almost double that gap.

BTC block times are slowing down as well. That will help.

http://fork.lol/pow/speed

As far as BCC price goes, I do think it will drift lower to around $500 for the next few days because of all the new hash rate coming online and miners will be selling coins. After the difficulty readjusts upwards the price will level off and trading volume come down a bit. Then we will start to climb the next rung of the ladder. This oscillation will continue for a month or two and then things will stabilize in an upward trajectory. HODL!

You will find the difficulty increase will be nearer 500% now and this will make BCH highly unprofitable and you will then see the temporary rise in hashing power hop back over to BTC

You may also see some of the users that just joined for the quick rewards sellout for BTC if they have not already which will be another reason for the price being driven down
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 21, 2017, 01:18:20 PM
why BCC going down n down,

Because it's a fake bitcoin, everybody know it. You should sell your fake bitcoin now before it go down to $100 in next few days and then buy the REAL Bitcoin called BTC.  Wink
I think you are absolutely right, it's a fake coin

Not just that but the Koreans are now probably going be be buying monero instead

Is mining bitcoin cash still profitable with the new prices? Is there any cloud providers renting bitcoin cash mining hashes?

Of course it is. 27 new blocks in the last hour only.

Not for long though difficulty is going up Tuesday/Wednesday I guessed 350% but it's now looking to be at least 400% that will wipe out all profibility providing they haven't added more things to help manipulate the difficulty

1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 20, 2017, 04:34:47 PM
Looking over the recent blocks there are only 3 new miners I may have missed some but thats from the last 100 or so blocks

Unknown            1KuxGYqhn5RsWqjXzy5qHbwnBavsfRxdJG
bitcoin-com   1EJAH4Ui98DsTmUNJv7HMQkJVU8ZKGzgAB
BTC-com           18RE6jQjhL2DHmXHoTEpHpkYDYiYZEg7fb

The Unknown is taking the majority of the blocks and then just the usual subjects from the last couple of weeks just taking more

and bitcoin.com and btc.com are only finding a few

There is NO big switch just the same small crowd
