1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest $10,000 into Quark or Dogecoin? on: January 01, 2014, 09:43:25 PM
We have all been wondering if there will be another coin that will surge in price like bitcoin and litecoin.

A lot of people have used the approach to mine and/or buy every coin because it is hard to be sure which Alt coin will turn out to be the next BIG ONE.

We now know!

It is Quark!

Quark has done something that no other coin has ever done. It increased in value by more than 1000x in less than 2 weeks. From 21 on Tuesday Nov 19 to 30000 on Sat Nov 30.

This huge increase is amazing.

How was it possible?

It is a result of the uniqueness of Quark's distribution.

All coins when first issued are raped and dumped by the botnets, farms etc. In fact no coin can overcome this relentless raping and dumping. All coins nearly die from it. Quark was no exception.

But because of Quark's distribution, nearly all of its coins have been minted, there can be no more raping and dumping. There is no more constant downward pressure on the price. Now the price can increase with time without constraints.

It is this natural price increase that is attractive to hedge fund investors and will result in Quark challenging litecoin's price of 0.025 btc and maybe even challenging bitcoin itself.

We have all wondered what will happen when a coin is fully mined. We now know. It is a price explosion!

I only hope that everybody got in on Quark before Nov 19. If not, it is not too late, there may be another factor of 1000x waiting in the wings. Big money is pouring into Quark!

Im holdin like 500 qrk only, and im hoping for it to eventually achieve the magic 1 USD number. LTC prices? you are maybe being too optimistic arent you? BTC prices? come on.
I hope it happens but I dont see how.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest $10,000 into Quark or Dogecoin? on: January 01, 2014, 09:23:36 PM
neither -get btc while its still cheap

Thanks. I already own some BTC, much more in value than I do in anything else.
So, I'm trying to diversify a little, that's all.

I thought about putting some into Doge, but then these facts weigh into my decision. Quark appears much more stable and well backed.
none of this  is fact but i have heard :
Quark = scam coin
it was premined to some people who own it can shake up and down the price on a whim since they are whales and you
will be a goldfish in their pond
also heard someone say it comes with malware to steal your wallet.dat files  when you install it
Pre mining means mining before release. Stop with the fucking bullshit, always the same thing.
It was very easy to mine, you can say that. But no one knew it would get this valuable so it was sold at peanuts for months.
In any case it will always be the same, there is always a 1% that owns a ton, just like in BTC or any other currency.

1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTS/WTB] Ron Paul Coin Buy/Sell Spreadsheet on: January 01, 2014, 05:00:29 PM
WTB 100 RPC at 0.005 BTC EACH (0.5BTC FOR 100)

I offered 1 LTC per RPC and got 0 offers btw...

This is hard as fuck to mine. No one that isn't dumb is going to sell this cheaply.

1 RPC = 0.1 BTC here we go.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NTC - Nutcoin on: January 01, 2014, 03:44:50 PM
The recommended price for 1 NTC should be around $0.0001 USD, it should not rise to $1 value before 2018 and we recommend maximum $10 by 2022.

Not sure if serious.

Ok so guys, the main niche here is japan. We need the japanese to go nuts about this coin so the price goes to the moon.
Also, isn't there a thread by the developer in some other forum? Maybe there is a "japanese bitcointalk". I need to see what they are talking about.

P2pool @~100MH/s, block ETA 5 mins.
Nodes in ascending local power order:
http://p2pool.dtdns.net:9904 ~1.5MH/s
http://p2pool.gotgeeks.com:9904 ~9MH/s
http://solidpool.org:9904 ~42MH/s
http://rav3n.dtdns.net:9904 ~53MH/s
It would be nice to have over 3 nodes that have up to 20% of pool power to make node efficiency closer one to another.
Nodes on lower power have smaller "reporting" shares diff, pool share diff is now 0.45
DO NOT mine on CPU or Nvidia there. Power less than 300kh/s is useless for P2pool. It will take hours to get share and payout.

I made about 200 in your pool tonite. Should I continue or I should I mine on a regular pool like 2ch? i mine at 310 khs

Whats faster, a p2pool or aregular pool like 2chpool??

Hello,

The person who started this thread is not the developer. The original post will probably not be updated.

Thanks

so where the fuck is the developer¿

The dev is most likely Japanese, so you'll likely never see him here.

Given how high difficulty is at the moment I might stop mining soon. I have around 300KH/s myself, and this difficulty is making it impossible to get any more MONA.

Yeah its getting pretty silly, plus where do you even follow the development of coin if the guys are japanese? is there any official place? a chat or something? how do we follow if this is a success or a failure, future additions or exchanges or what not... usually its on the official bitcointalk forums but i asume the developer posts in some obscure japanese community or what not.

Also shouldn't the OP of coin threads be the owner of the coin or at least part of the dev team? whats the point.

im getting constantly "stratum from pool 0 detected new block"
"stratum from pool 0 requested work restart"
and
Poll 0 difficutly changed to "x"

Diff is high as fuck like 1500

Does it make sense for me to mine at 320khs?
I just dont want to wake up tomorrow at 0.00 mona

The other regular non p2p pools arent working

Can the op upload it to mega or somewhere or maybe another trusted user so everyone can get on?

I just got up and am missing the train, lol

waltsmith

Hi,

The op just posted this information, he is not the developer. I don't know if it will be updated. Anyway, you can find a link to download the wallet a few pages back.
