1381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Satoshi is a saint on: May 30, 2023, 09:41:02 PM
But literally speaking Satoshi nakamoto is a "saint " who literally forged the future transaction method and just disappeared
A lot of persons may say yah yah we know or nah vague post but the truth is this post is just my little way of thanking the Satoshi

I recently just took some basic knowledge about crypto currencies and Defi that was when I actually acknowledged the fact
It's okay to be appreciative but, you could as well do that on the reputation board, it would better fit than having to discuss Satoshi Nakamoto here on bitcoin discussion board. You might not be very appreciative of things by disregarding the pioneers setup in not following the other of things in this forum.

Yeah, Satoshi Nakamoto must have fixed alot of things and might have changed the way of finance for humanity but, that's only if we as humans are able to set aside greed like Satoshi did put aside selfish interest and not stay at the apex of bitcoin affairs but left it to the people in a fully decentralized system. It's left to us to keep it alive.
1382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is mass adoption or/and regulation more likely to reduce volatility? on: May 30, 2023, 08:31:44 PM
There is  difference between unique addresses and the number of individuals to have adopted bitcoin. Whole one can be determined and that is the vase of unique addresses the number of individuals to have taken up bitcoin investments, either having it stored somewhere or trading can't be accurately determined. Perhaps the once on centralised exchanges could be determined as accounts are verified, even as simple as cell phone number verification, there still presents some challenges as, most individuals have got several cell phone numbers and the closest to proper documentation is running kyc which is avoided in the crypto space.
Now, unique addresses can't be tied to a each user as well. As crypto investors, your allowed the luxury or owning more than one address and even switching in between addresses.

When we talk about regulation and volatility, the main issue with volatility as we have it is in the demand of the currency. Will the regulation be able to check demand? If no, then its okay to understand that it solves no problem.
1383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto influencers secrets that all newbies should be aware of on: May 29, 2023, 11:51:20 PM
He Said...

Crypto influencers are always the first to get involved in shit projects and they talk about the project to their followers so that the followers can pump their bags, and they take profits without telling you a thing, poor people, they keep holding to the project for the long term.
Do they ever really get involved in the project rather than offering influencer services...?
Most of them don't get to invest more than $10 - $50 on a project and they are always ready to take profit with the least growth on the project. In many cases, the coins comes free for them and with the lots of crypto or prospective investors out there, always looking out gir where to pitch there investments in altcoins and make the most profit, its not hard to find them blindly following because, some celebrity is on the project or have said a few words on the project in a tweet and a host of others that goes out with unverifiable testimonials.

When you blindly follow, evaluate the risk that could come with it and weight it if you could manage it.
1384  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How many times do people earn from their BTC investment? on: May 29, 2023, 11:06:43 PM
If you try to qualify bitcoin earnings for  time frame, e fit worry you and e no get any specific time way e dey take to earn specific amount of crypto if na inside investment you dey run. E no dey possible say you give predict watin go happen. People dey always reason say in the next 4years, anything way you don accumulate go double and that na because of bitcoin halving way dey always every 4years, just like we get for world cup. Patricia came to lamplight when them do small affiliation with big brother naija 3 abi 4 years ago. Na jow them carry get there poparity and the fact say plenty of our people don dey run crypto matter, plenty of them no understand watin dey. There own be say, them fit leave coin there, dey withdraw am small small as naira through p2p. 1000 posts in 16 days? Where did you get that data from? I’m assuming you meant your logged in time on the forum or something else, I don’t know.
That's obviouy the case else, most of those post would have been subjected to reviews in ways that would have dragged out comparison to being spam. Not like it ain't possible for one to archive that milestone in the days mentioned but, it would have been such a push that I don't care to imagine what must haveotivated it.
Obviously, Obari isn't one of those posters that goes about spamming the forum. The user is one of the active onces in the Nigera local board and across the forum as well. Keep up the worn you've been up to and be good about it. Congrats if that's cool with you.
1388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I trade bitcoin? on: May 26, 2023, 11:15:23 PM
Friends, I have download different apps from forex trading and I use most of them trying to trades bitcoin but it seem too difficult and failing, forex
Well trading isn't something you get to master in a day. Besides, how do you download a forex app and suppose that be MetaTrader 4 or 5 and hope to trade cryptocurrencies with it... that's not a place to trade cryptos. I think what you might note there is indices but, I really don't consider that cryptos. You get to trade virtual fiat currency pairs but, not crypto, I don't think.

When it comes to trading cryptos, you can archive that on some of the exchanges out there like Binance but, it ain't something you'll understand easily. It takes time to learn and master but, that doesn'tean you wouldn't be making loses in your tradea, that's inevitable eventually.
1389  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: As a newbie how many post are you meant to post per day? on: May 26, 2023, 10:04:50 PM
There is no limitation or adding a quota to the number of post a newbie is supposed to make in a day. The closest you could get to a limitation is having your post frequency paused if the system feels your posting too fast. That's because, as a newbie, your usually not expected to know a lot buy a few might and even at that, you just might not be very familiar with the forum rules of which, spamming is an offence. This delay is some means to put a check on that.

Other than this, your welcome to post wherever you've got ideas. Places where your not allowed to post, you wouldn't have the reply icon or quote icon avaliable for you. Places like the Ivory Tower in serious discussion.
No need being scared, make positive contribution and you'll be good.
1390  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: US Don Knack Visa Restriction on: May 26, 2023, 08:45:49 PM
The United States cannot make such law enactment into action because they also realized what they will be loosing at the cause of this, by now we should be familiar with the economy and political propaganda they make to the media but were not being made effective in the reality, it is not possible for the United States to lay restriction on the country base on it internal affairs since we are no longer under colonial era, this sanction can't be effective because they will also loose part of their economy progress realize through international commonness and relationship, when I heard the news I'd thought about it that it may not be effective because they will be affected through the international ties we had together.
My bother, I no sure say you really follow watin OP talk o. E no dey refer to the country as you dey try imply. Na on specific individuals for we country way th feel say, there hand dey involved in all th malpractices way happen for we country during the presidential pools. Na watin OP dey try talk and on that base, that dey very possible and e no big pass them to do.
We big pass Russia way them boycott due to this them wahala of recent... Them go lose something but, them go gain something as well. Na why them be world power, na there place to put body and few people no suppose dey intimidate full country and undermine Democratic process.
1391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of digital money on: May 26, 2023, 08:34:41 PM
Crypto currency like bitcoin that would have change lives and alienates poverty from the world, government are afraid of its cumulative value.
Bitcoin any other cryptocurrency out there doesn't exist to alienate poverty. Its a hard condition to be in but, its a part of our society and has got its place in societal stratification. The cryptocurrency  operates merely as a transfer of wealth as it is used in payment for goods and services as well as traded in the crypto market. This implies an exchange of purchasing power as one is been debited to credit the other. Hence, while one gets more crypto asset, the other is losing some crypto asset as well. Now, there isn't any certainty that the rich are losing to the poor in an equilibrium state, but the poor can be the once making these loses and getting even poorer.

Crypto doesn't make you rich, nope. Your ideas and how your able to apply them in the field is what enrichess you.
1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust in cryptocurrency? on: May 26, 2023, 08:24:43 PM
Bitcoin adoption is happening very fast, and it is almost impossible to stop, and no one can stop it. Bitcoin is only 14 years old, and if you compare its age with traditional assets that are hundreds of years old, it is no different than we compare babies to old people. So you can't expect global bitcoin adoption to take only a year or two.
You kno I would have even loved it to go a lot slower than its doing now. It's way too fast for my liking and I can imagine what the best halving will bring as there is always an unmatched awareness campaign by price which often forces most people to buy at a high price; being satisfied that the coin inst crashing and they stand the chance of making few sats with the pump (ignorant minds that could have as well be buying at this moment).

When itcomes to adoption, I just can't say. Just like bitcoin price, it's hard to predict what way the government would take in order to ensure there is some form of regulations to cryptocurrencies. It's still a problem but the thing is, they just can't stop it.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Fiat - the Difference That no One Talks About on: May 25, 2023, 11:31:56 PM
Why is securing the return of resources the most important thing in payment systems? Well, suppose you gave up your house and in return, you got membership in the fiat system by receiving banknotes or a deposit account with some numbers. Those numbers cannot satisfy your needs. They are not resources. So, you gave up a house that can satisfy a lot of needs, and in return, you got something that cannot satisfy any need. That is why, if the system is legit, it must have a built-in mechanism so that in the future you can return resources that are roughly worth the same as your house. The fiat payment system has such a mechanism. Let’s see how it functions.

Let’s now turn to the Bitcoin system. This system boils down to a network of computing devices linked together to manage a database. How do people become members of this system? Well initially, they give up electricity in the process of the so-called Bitcoin mining. This gets them the membership units, known as electronic coins or bitcoins(₿). As these units are not resources capable of satisfying human needs, members are in the same situation as members of the fiat system – they need resources back.
You presented yor arguments in ways that has no truth in it.
Like you not seeing value in the transfer of wealth through several forms. Wealth are not all stored in a single form. You bought a house, a car, a pet dog and what ever property you own by using some notes with numbers on them and backed by the government. That's the value in it, it's by some authority and has a backing. You as well own an account number and see digits on it to value as an exchange power.

Bitcoin makes no difference.  That it's electronic doesn't dispose it of its validity or value. Bitcoin is of the people and that's the most backing it needs.
Good enough OP your in the right place go learn. Open yourself up to new ideas and correct the ill ideas you might have of the system. That's what I say to you.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 25, 2023, 10:59:44 PM
Can't say I was disappointed at Chelsea's lose, nope, not at all. It was an expected result and besides, this is an inform Manchester United team against a not in form Chelsea. Just how could Manchester United not win. Of course they would seal that home game in a win. Worst still, this is Manchester United playing from a home side with all the support from there fans.
Chelsea is just one of the worst team this season, never getting anything right, win one game and lose 5-7 others. Even with the improvement of players on there team, it made no difference. Better luck for them next season as the season is ended with just a game week left.
1395  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Banks really manipulates us? on: May 25, 2023, 10:19:31 PM
Don't be too stupid because you didn't get it clear about what Andrew tate is talking, he referred the existing controlling system as matrix not the one we saw in the movies by Keanu Reeves which is kind of software, virtual reality and something.
That's a funny one, I'll give you that.
Still, I feel with the loads of comments on the subject, a follow up is expected for anyone paying attention.

Banks manipulate the majority of people and plays the majority of the role in their entire life simply because the system is designed in that way so if you're someone who doesn't want to be just another human has to understand the control and need a way to make money for example Andrew used his fame and speaking skills to monetize.
It's why they are there. They are a profit based organisation and even more so, they are an agent of the government through its CB. Its no surprise that, should they hope to create a condition within the state, they go ahead to archive it by manipulating the cash flow. Either pumping in more cash than necessary or reducing the amount of cash in circulation.

These are what has been and will continue to be even in the face of a crypto evolved world. We still can't have them fiats go away and that means, the conditions that surrounds fiat or cash systems would still be very much active but, to a minimum.
1396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price motivation benchmark: on: May 25, 2023, 09:42:23 PM
Quite impressed with the 100% BTC Portfolio, you really believe in bitcoin and indeed it is a good long term investment compared to many altcoins that are held. But if I make an investment, maybe 70% I will allocate for Bitcoin and the remaining 30% I will put into a potentially good Altcoin. Because we also need to make movements in several other altcoins. Doing DCA is also a good strategy to continue to accumulate Bitcoin assets.
I can't blame someone for being so 100% on bitcoin. In my experience, even when I felt I was on track with my analysis on altcoins and my expectations was just about time before it begins to materialise in favour, altcoins still got to dump in ways that I list expected. It's no surprise that bitcoin creates of follows these paths or systems of dynamics but with bitcoin, there are certain assurances.

Hence, one going all in gor bitcoin and being able to hodl for a long time is almost certain to profit off there hodlings. This has been the obtainable and its not broken till this moment.
1397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A good way to help our children. on: May 25, 2023, 09:25:09 PM

I think even with the continued evolution of bitcoin, the rising prices, our children will still be the luckiest of all. Not because our generation are the once to have created and taken good opportunity with bitcoin of course that would count too but, its mostly because, they too would have innovations in there time that would create opportunities such as we've got today.
Not to talk of the fact that, we aren't taking our fortunes to the grave. It's going to be left behind for our wards to possess after we are gone.
Either we leave out bitcoin investments for them or not, parents that are into cryptocurrency is already doing there wards a favour.
1398  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to speed up btc transfers on: May 25, 2023, 07:18:30 AM

Fee customization we do refer to is to be able to edit the fee like in this order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 sat/vbyte and so on. Or to be able to use your keyboard to customize the fee.

Assuming the fee rate is not going below 60 sat/vbyte for a long time, you will have no option than to set the fee to 70 sat/vbyte. And as I meant before, the higher it is, the less accurately you will be able to customize the fee.

Your as well opportuned to bump transactions and use the services of bitcoin accelerometer to speed your transactions. These are option out there for users.
Bitcoin transaction accelerator.
Yeah, accelerator. My bad. Thanks though.

And still, of what significant difference will it make, with the mempool accepting a fee rate of 60sat/byte as its lowest rate and then your having to pick th next sequence within your given fee range to be 70sat/byte. A difference of 10sats don't mean that much. That's just a few cents still and won't have much effect on your transfered funds but would certainly have an effect on the placing of the initiated transaction. Am aware your speculation as used here is an assumption for a practical scenario and better understanding (@ 60sat/byte and 70 sat/byte).

In the end, it recalling makes less difference having to to edit and type from your keyboard or keypad and just adjust within  a ranging system.
1399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Other Alternatives to Borrowing Money to Start Trading on: May 24, 2023, 10:54:39 PM
For newbies, compounding a $10 crypto trading investment means reinvesting the profit from your initial $10 capital in the same asset, such as bitcoin, to generate an increase in returns over time. So the $10 may compound over time, and you can get $100 in returns. It requires patience, just as trading does.
Compounding certainly feels like a good idea, not one of the worst but much more better than the taking a loan. Although, it makes certain requirements of you, that you be good in your trades enough to make the profits you need from a $10 trading capital to be the equivalent of your desired capital for starting trading. J don't know how that is doable but, you could try!
It would take a professional trader with minimal mistakes or trading errors to come by such mistake and many more than most would often have a trading capital more than a $100 to trade with.
1400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too late to start? on: May 24, 2023, 10:35:37 PM
recognition in overall entire world population.Recognition and adoption is still on the move.If you dont like on making yourself get behind and missed out some opportunities once again then you should really
get in since we are still early.
In other to recognise the potential bitcoin holds, you would do well and am not referring to the user of the above quote but, in general that, bitcoin has gained more recognition and users with each passing year. Individuals and organisations alike and that's something to look gorward to for a new world other, haven't been around for a decade and 3years.

People that are yet to buy into the idea might as well be doing what suits them best and I wouldn't want yo argue on that. Perhaps, they are playing it safe, investing only where they believe or see potentials and possibly for some, they don't have the spare funds to go in om a bitcoin investment but that's okay.

All I would like to say on that is that, they are missing out!
