They charged about 10% withdrawal commission instead of rake, so expected value for the players was -0.1, which is even worse than ~5% charged as rake by most conventional poker rooms.

It seems to me that 10% of net winnings would work out as much less than 5% of each pot since players will typically play through their bankroll many times before withdrawing.
Oh, you are right! But 0% fee will be even attractive  Wink

Uh, no. There have been plenty of rake-free poker rooms. For some reason they all fail to attract customers though.

An example: http://www.betraiser.com/en/rake-free/

Playing poker with zero EV will be revolution, IMHO!

@giantdragon
Then your next service will probably a mixing service Wink
I don't think so. I send payments once a day, but Blockchain.info mixer sends them instantly.

Why not HTML5? I think in-browser poker will be much more attractive to the players contrary to Windows executables offered by most poker rooms with spyware embedded.
1387  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: December 15, 2012, 08:14:48 PM
I have started development of the Texas Holdem software based on HTML5. It will be the first rake-free poker room! Stay tuned!
1388  Economy / Service Announcements / Vietnamese traffic blocked on CoinURL on: December 15, 2012, 04:03:54 PM
We have decided to stop counting all clicks from the Vietnam because 99.9% of the traffic coming from this country is full crap. I hope CoinURL advertisers will receive higher quality traffic they have paid for and better conversions.

I would like to apologize to the legitimate Vietnamese users (if there are any) for the inconvenience, but we have no other choice to stop this stream of junk traffic.

Look closely at the table, it has no zeros, and its zero house black jack.
Bitzino has zero at the table, this has no house edge.
You are right, BitZino HAVE house edge!

1392  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: December 13, 2012, 09:05:44 PM

1396  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - no house edge, 100% payout on: December 11, 2012, 02:30:20 AM
I want to remind again that Casinobit admin is misleading about 100% payout! Having 2 zeroes on the roulette gives him 5.26% advantage.
1397  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: December 10, 2012, 11:00:38 PM
Is the site expected to generate a decent amount of profit? (From ads?)
I expect advertising revenue. My another service Daily Bitcoins is 100% ad-sponsored and show good revenue despite large amounts paid out to its users.
1398  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - no house edge, 100% payout on: December 10, 2012, 07:19:41 PM
No house edge? Really!!? With 2 zeroes on the roulette!!?

1399  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: December 10, 2012, 05:23:46 PM
The cash-out was made using my deposit money
Why do you wonder?! This is a truly zero-sum game! Wink Winning of the one player equals to the loss of another one!
1400  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: December 10, 2012, 04:47:47 PM
I have an idea. Create a page, that is red on the right side, and black on the left side.
Each is determined from the outcome of the blocks.

Played live. And bets can be in any order, such as there may be 50 people betting 1 bitcoin on red
and 1 person betting one bitcoin on black.

Bets are made by division.

So if red has 50 Bitcoins, (50 different people)
and black has 1 bitcoin.   (A single person)

When black hits. Black wins 1 bitcoin + (50/50), And every person loses (1/50th, and now has 0.98 BTC each) This brings black up to 2 BTC.
When red hits. Red wins 1 bitcoin, distributed among the 50 people, everyone getting 1.02 BTC.
Very interesting idea! I will definitely implement it.

Perhaps for raffles you can take a 1% cut off that, to generate a little revenue.
The philosophy of Peerbet is to make ALL games truly zero-sum.

This is what I want
...
(about zero-sum roulette and blackjack)
Peerbet is a P2P gaming platform! I have no plans to offer games against the house. Instead I am thinking about offering Texas Holdem, but it will take some time to implement.

Can you show pending deposits in the History list? It's kinda annoying to not know what's happening.
Funds are credited instantly after 1 confirmation (notification being received via Bitcoinmonitor.net). You can enter the address into Blockchain.info and see it's status.

it would be awesome to see a live chat feed! This is too much fun.
Agree, will implement.

That would change the expected return due to transaction fees.
Would make the "Play without house edge!" kinda unreal, not that the house keeps the edge, but the miners.
I am paying transaction fees, so it is 100% free for you. Therefore there are accounts and withdrawals are being sent once a day in a bunch.

P.S. First big cash-out made worth of 4 BTC!
