1381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in bitcoin? on: February 14, 2023, 10:55:52 AM
Anyone that talks less about how they can double their money investing in Bitcoin is a liar, the first main reason why we all invest in Bitcoin is the add up in value when you hold your Bitcoin, every other reason comes later, but making more money is the first.

The second reason is the privacy part, the escapade from total control of the government.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UAE central bank to issue CBDC, promote digital asset growth on: February 14, 2023, 09:24:08 AM
@Pooya87, you made a good point by saying that CBDC will be the death of stable coins but what about decentralized stable coins like DAI? Can SEC hunt them down too?

I will never be a part of those that will start using CBDC to Bitcoin pair or other, it looks like a success already for the government, they have finally taken over.

Truth be told, I was not expecting this very soon.

OP can you take your time to share a screenshot of the app? Some Bitcoin faucets pay in very tiny amounts of Satoshis when the withdrawal minimum is meet, I am not sure they still exists today, I myself made some mBTC through one of those apps but I uninstalled because it takes forever to get the withdrawal limit.

If you are not claiming Sats every hours or 4 hours then that's a fake cloud mining app, do not waste your time on the app, in the end, you might not get anything after the 90 days you claimed to get paid.
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MetaMask issues scam alert as NameCheap hacker sends unauthorized emails on: February 13, 2023, 05:36:45 PM
Scammers use more than just Metamask to fool their victims and imagine if the receiver also uses Metamask, this can easily confuse them thinking it's really from Metamask, they also use coinbase wallet, token pocket, Trust wallet, and others, so if you are a newbie reading this right now, noncustodial wallets will never send you emails into your gmail account or yahoo account, be careful and treat all crypto wallet emails as a scam, do not bother to open and read.
1385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which one to invest. on: February 13, 2023, 09:17:21 AM
BUY BITCOIN

All other projects claiming that they are fully decentralized are not, let the government threaten to go after them now they will instantly switch and deny decentralization,  they are nothing but business runners, and the only true decentralized crypto project is BITCOIN.

The Creator became invisible/ghost to maintain real Decentralization.
1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin current price on: February 13, 2023, 08:18:26 AM
If you see Bitcoin as real digital gold you won't care about the present market situation, why should you care about analysts' predictions? Most times they are always wrong, they called for 100,000$ BTC in 2021 and it never happens, do things away from the Analysts and start to make your own decision, this is the best way to build yourself and the way you think, many people failed to buy Bitcoin at 15,000$ because of these analysts, do not be a sitting duck.
1387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do I need to know? on: February 13, 2023, 07:31:43 AM
I was one of the first users of the Luno platform years ago before Binance later introduce Peer 2 Peer payment on its exchange, the fact is Luno wallet is a custodial wallet, you only need to log into the platform to access your crypto funds and assets. This is a bad practice for any crypto adopters in 2023, no doubt,  a bad practice it is.

Wallets like Luno and Freewallet are missing users Private keys or recovery seeds, this mean that the team are the one keeping the keys for you, and this means that they have access to your funds, I believe this is not what you want OP.

If you want a good Bitcoin wallet for your phone, download Electrum @
https://electrum.org/#download

When you make enough money make sure you order for a hardware wallet, they are the most secured.
1388  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2022] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: February 13, 2023, 06:56:31 AM
    • The new discovered girl:
5Ksana_HandMade. As far as I know, this user has never been nominated before.
    That girl, I nominated her.

    Another girl I discovered,
This night after I finished breastfeeding my baby
still under my consideration at next year's forum awards event. But pls don't ask her to prove what a real girl she is by asking for photos of her recent activities with the baby.  Grin
Who cares if she is a girl or not? No one ask for users identity on this forum so, cool down, the first girl now has a bad feedback on his profile for canceling an auction on a winner, it's not even once but twice, and that is not good.
1389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: whether investing in bitcoin many lose on: February 11, 2023, 08:10:51 AM
Please understand that Bitcoin is not a stable digital asset, it fluctuations in value every time, I believe that's an unsafe area for a newbie that doesn't how Bitcoin works, so it is better if you can invest only what you can afford to lose. The good side is it also appreciates, for example right now you can buy Bitcoin, because we are in a bear market, use DCA ( Dollar Cost Average ) and I can guarantee you that in the comings months, your invested money would have doubled or triple, it's a game of patience, how long you willing to keep DCAing and holding your Bitcoin, the best time to sell will come.
1390  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: February 11, 2023, 07:21:50 AM
I always like smart people like you OP who always want to do something different, you claimed its 0 reasons if you copy other gambling platforms, that's a good spirit right there, do not rush, come up with something new and better, there must be a good reason for gamblers to prefer your platforms and games more than others, you won't fail this way.

Ready made scripts is a bad practice because sometimes adjustment will be needed, it is better to hire a developer or have your own team, not all teams or dev wants money right up from the start, some are like you and they aren't employed, they will be eager to build something with you, talk to a friend maybe they can find you another friend who is good in this area, if you are reliable and trustworthy people will want to start something with you.

We all know how profitable gambling platform can be, so its a matter of time before money starts flowing in.
    1391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Miner noise on: February 10, 2023, 02:20:21 PM
Trying to reduce the noise of something that was made to make noise is another big headache entirely, I am not sure you are prepared for that, the fastest way to get rid of this noise is to find a quiet location and move, I guess that's not a good reason to move out of your house unless you own a big farm.

You can sell the noisy miner and try finding another that works more quietly, for example jasminer x4, but you never tell us the type of crypto miner you are using, I am guessing it's an ASIC? If that'd correct there is nothing you can do than to change location.
    1392  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2022] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: February 10, 2023, 12:32:05 PM
OMG Shocked my jaw is on the floor, now I found another reason to be a big contributor on this forum, someday, imagine my name among the winners somewhere in the future.

    Congrats to all the winners.
1393  Economy / Economics / Re: Untouchable Savings: Do you have it? on: February 10, 2023, 07:49:04 AM
True be told, money gives me peace of mind, my mind will never be a rest if I don't at least have some fund saved somewhere, I prefer if something happens to me (death) while having some money, it is more better than having a long life with no money.

In 2016 I had a million in my local fiat currency that I couldn't touched, because I have goal that most be achieved, even when all my clothes turned rag I kept managing two for a year and a half, later, that money changed everything for me.

In early 2017 , I bought my first Asic and make money through the year into 2018, paid for my tailoring academy and later sold the asic in 2018 bear market, to cut the story short, that 1 million changed everything for me, till this day.
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My ideals on how to promote Bitcoin in my locality on: February 10, 2023, 06:20:41 AM
Bitcoin appreciates as you said, it also depreciates too, if you are going to promote bitcoin through religion I believe this is very wrong, financial investments must not be brought into the house of God, that's so wrong bro.

Also, what makes you think that all those people in the church or mosque will fully understand Bitcoin? Or even agree to invest in Bitcoin? It looks like forcing them to me, churches and mosques consist of older people too, they can't get involved because they don't and won't understand what bitcoin is all about.

This move can easily get you in a big mess if someone does something wrong, either when transacting with BTC or a massive dump happens after they invest in bitcoin, do you know how fast people condemn bitcoin and call it a scam?
1395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to sell bitcoin before the next bear market starts? on: February 09, 2023, 06:15:29 PM
All time high I believe? But there is no way to know when we are at the top ATH, it was like how many people are waiting for 100k bitcoin in the last bull market and they got rekt, my advice is, do not be greedy, take profits when Bitcoin is way over the top, I don't expect anything more than a 100k per Bitcoin in 2025 but I am sure that many will want 250k per bitcoin. Have a strategy in place, know when to take profit.
    1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Learn from a brother's mistake on: February 09, 2023, 05:21:07 PM
A minute of silence for all Alliance Block investors...i have a brother who invested in this altcoin, hoping to hold till the next bull market, unfortunately the unexpected happened, now all the money is gone before he realized what's going on.

What lesson could be learned from this?

If you are a altcoin investor, do not keep all your eggs in one basket, if you believe in an altcoin, make sure it's not the only one, in fact, the more coins you have in your portfolio the lesser the risk, because not all the coins will go bad or get hacked, if one out of 5 or 10 become successful, 6x to , 10x or more, you've made back your ROI and still have some gains.

Also, I prefer projects from the Binance launch pad because binance don't just list any projects, 85% of all projects that used Binance launchpads are successful.

Alliance Block market cap is very low, projects with very low market cap are called degen by many and they are very risky, remember Gala games? It was hacked and all tokens were reimbursed, if Gala was a very small project I don't think they will do the reimbursement.

1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How scary could the US SEC ban crypto staking be a sight? on: February 09, 2023, 04:59:55 PM
This is still a rumor, said Brain Armstrong, it is very hard to believe that this will become a thing because I don't see how they are going to get this done, but again, it is said that this will only happen in the United States of America.

OP, I believe this thread should be move to the altcoins discussion section, Bitcoin is proof of work by the way.
1398  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your head up. on: February 09, 2023, 12:24:09 PM
Thanks for this motivating post OP, I need this badly right now, I lost some money today to a Defi project, the APY is not even much, just around 15% APY and I noticed that after buying the tokens at 27$ it dumped down to 5$ and I was like, something is definitely going on, I went on discord channel and I found out that the team are leaving the project and no update about why, holders are selling fast so I just decided to sell and walk away with my losses. So once again, thanks for the words of encouragement, you may not know, but this meant a lot.
1399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Does it Mean to DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH(DYOR)? on: February 09, 2023, 07:33:43 AM
You don't have to buy what others are buying, do your own research means increasing your own capability to make decisions yourself, this makes you stronger than ever, just because some people don't like a project doesn't mean you should do the same, some times, you can see something that others are not seeing, it's like people calling some projects shitcoins and these so called shitcoins did so well than every other projects they feel it's better, learn to do your own research and take your own risks.
1400  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 08, 2023, 09:09:48 AM
Do all you can to face your studies brother, nothing matters more than your studies, do not let anyone tell you otherwise, I believe this will open doors to a blessed future, do not use your money to take unnecessary risks unless you have other side hustle that pays, a distracted soldier is a dead soldier.
