1381  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Condolence Bonuses to Betnomi exit scam victims on: August 17, 2023, 10:17:19 AM
<...>
1. No. We do not require KYC on Free Condolence Bonuses. Also no deposit needed.
2. It depends on the circumstance of each case. However it is lower than most some other bonuses like our Deposit Bonus. And the bonus amount can be used on any casinos & sports.

This "condolence bonus" is just one big joke. I lost 28K in Betnomi and I had to fill in a document with all kinds of screenshots to prove my losses in there, and that took me about an hour. And all I got is a bonus of just 200 USD.

They make it look like a generous bailout action but it's just some bullshit action to get some more customers.
-snip-

Regarding the bonus amount you received, we understand your sentiment. Our intention behind offering the bonus was to provide a measure of relief and support to those affected within our capacity. We carefully considered various factors in determining the bonus amounts, including the extent of the losses and the available resources. Unfortunately, by no means are we capable of matching the amount stuck in Betnomi.

We sincerely apologize that our efforts fell short of meeting your expectations. We have been monitoring the free condolence bonus and will consider the possibility of offering high amount to victims, especially those who have a significant amount being stolen there.

-snip-

Great way to manage the discussion. You are offering a small relief that may feel not enough for some users who lost high deposited amounts, but you weren't obliged to do it, and it is still something. In addition, no KYC and lower wager requirements than the typical ones for promotional, commercial bonuses, suggests that those condolence prizes are more of an aid than a mere advertisement.

I wasn't one of the victims, but I appreciate the initiative and I wish you all (casino and users) the best. GekkeBelg, I feel specially sorry for your situation. I hope you recover from the losses soon. Next time avoid making such big deposits in any kind of custodial services.

In the first place it is generally advised that one should only trade with what they can afford to lose as the case may be and another is that you do not save or keep huge amount of funds with third parties as it is not advisable meaning that it is not under your custody and anything not under your custody is not your own as you do not have full control and authority over it.

Although it is sad to have lost such huge amount of funds but it was not worth it keeping such an amount of money with a casino you are not sure of. I think this serves as a lesson to other gamblers out there who still have such an amount of funds with third parties and casinos. It would be wise they  withdraw their funds from them to their own self custodial wallet.

Welcome onboard. I see you already launched a campaign and are ready for promotion. You definitely took the right step coming. You will do very much better as a manager or representative here.

-snip

Above I got from a review site and your official website as regards your withdrawal and deposit and was curious to know why I am seeing different things as to payment and withdrawal.

OP you made mention of fast withdrawals from your casino upon request but  what I saw was 48 hours which is not in line with what was written here. Your minimum withdrawal and deposit look funny though.
if you look further down on their payment policy you'll find that they stated that "a withdrawal request may be approved or denied within days(48 hours)". it doesn't mean that the gambler would need to wait for 2 days for their withdrawal request to be approved or denied, it means that it could take up to 2 days or within 10 min(or lower). As for the minimum deposit/withdrawal on the BTC, it could be a typo on the gambling review website.

The discrepancies on withdrawal from both parties varies which should need to be corrected because it looks obvious that from the casino website in btc conversion rate, it is higher than that of the review site at least both figures should be in uniformity as not to confuse and mislead the masses.
1383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal for mass adoption: the introduction of a new unit of account on: August 16, 2023, 07:56:19 PM
How can renaming Bitcoin to something else to serve as a unit solve the problem of adoption, it's like starting over again, because many people who hasn't yet adopted Bitcoin won't deny that they have heard about the name Bitcoin or read about it and now you would need to explain further about the unit addition and then you have loose their trust before it even begun.

If this was the solution then countries would have changed their currency name to something else to tackle their economical issues, but no it's very fruitless.

I was wondering if OP really had a deep thought of this proposals he or she is putting forward because I see it as unnecessary and a waste of time to be precise. This is just like telling the United States to change their currency from dollar to a fresh new thing entirely which i believe would not go down well with them. Just a laughable idea. little wonder OP refused to use his or her main account for this because of the fear of being greeted with unexpected reactions from members.
1384  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will it be safe to store assets on opera mini browser wallet? on: August 16, 2023, 07:25:55 PM
OP did a good findings which i believe not everybody knows about it here but I do not see it safe and advisable to use such wallet when one does not know the security features of such wallet. I have not really seen or heard opera mini doing any promotion or awareness of such wallet and from what I can see it looks like  third party affiliation which would require one to be very cautious while dealing. Better still, it would be nice one use it for lesser transactions as to avoid hearing the story that touches the heart.

Do your own research.

1386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The things that improve a quality post on: August 16, 2023, 01:07:48 PM
In addition, it is not all about what you have listed OP. There are some you are missing as a newbie and I am sure just as you made mention of research here, you did not do a thorough research before writing this. Sometimes it is not about you writing a post that can make a post quality good post. There  are some post or articles out there that are of good quality with educating content which is very rich and good in information and update and one would want bring them here. Newbies are fond of that, they copy and past them here without citing or referencing their source which leads them to being banned or flagged here. So you see now why it is good to reference some post one copied from anywhere or quote the real author of the post. A typical example is here  where a newbie used an AI to generate a post here thinking it would not be noticed but was unfortunate. This is the reason why newbies are advised to take out time to study and ask question where they find difficult to understand so that they do not make mistakes here. I think you too can do same.
1387  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Some of our Nigerians celebrity investors. (With prove) on: August 15, 2023, 09:55:11 PM
Well we never can tell because no be say dem talk am meaning say dem mean am o. E just be like say Na happening trend wey dem feel like to take make hit songs because na wetin dey reign for the entertainment industry now. Even if dem use am sing song, you don see any day dem talk about Bitcoin before? or say  dem grant interview to talk about Bitcoin?
Forget say dem be celebrity that one Na for mouth o. As e be say nobody to pay for advert dem no dey bother talk about Bitcoin but if Na  to talk about casino or sportbook dem no go waste time do the advert as them go pay them. Since Na Bitcoin and nobody dey pay dem dat one Na on your own.

I for like make dem begin vibes to Bitcoin so that their fans go know what's up about Bitcoin. Check out when that one happen just imagine the millions of people wey go begin ask about Bitcoin to know wetin e really mean. Na there the adoption go come strong wella. If dem go fit do a 4 to 5 minutes talk  on Bitcoin put for their social media handles, believe me you the adoption g ok dey massive because people go want to hold Bitcoin as their celebrity dey hold am too.
1388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal for mass adoption: the introduction of a new unit of account on: August 15, 2023, 06:58:56 PM
I noticed it is a newbie account making this proposals and I think the face behind this proposals is not a newbie as we think it to be because a newbie can barely come up with such proposals at such early stage for a change or inclusions but I am still curious about it.

OP your proposal is quite alright but I think it would require much deliberation from the community and to be frank reaching a resolve would definitely take time as I see this as it looks unrealistic and unnecessary.
1389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unit Logo System on: August 15, 2023, 06:21:42 PM
This is a clean touch of excellence. Well designed with the perfect colouration. I think the community would need to decide or choose which would be more suitable for usage as there are lots of others also designed but to be honest, this is unique.

Irrespective of the fact that you already put up the links here for reading I think Putting up the written words and explanatory here would not be an issue so people who find it difficult clicking links can as well read to have knowledge of the design and reasons behind it.
1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we improve our country by Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2023, 05:52:27 PM
This is a very sensitive topic that definitely would be of good help in educating people. Most times it's not all about the government allowing for buying and selling using Bitcoin as a means of payment but there are some other areas as mentioned by OP but it is unfortunate that OP plagiarised and failed to reference from wherever he or she got it from.

This is the case of newbies here. Plagiarising without citing their source of information making it looks like they wrote it all. Very funny though but OP used AI according to a reply on this thread.

Looking at tourism for instance, Bitcoin when accepted in a country with abundance of tourist attractions, it attracts tourists to that nations as they would pay in Bitcoin thereby increasing the traffic into the country creating a major source of revenue for the country and her citizens.

1391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run: Is It Tied to the Next Halving? on: August 15, 2023, 03:52:09 PM
As it is based on speculation, it is unpredictable. No one can tell but from previous events or occurrences in the past of bitcoin halving, there has been a surge in bitcoin price immediately after bitcoin halving so it would not be a surprise if such should happen this time but still yet, nobody knows if the reverse would be the case. Moreover, there are several factors driving the Bitcoin market, and if they come into play the next halving would be of big significant effect on the crypto community would would further drive the demand for bitcoin as the price surges high above the last ATH.
We cannot predict exactly where bitcoin will go and can only guess.
And many people have been wrong in guessing or giving their predictions because bitcoin's movements are now wilder.
But it is true that after a halving, there will usually be a spike in the price of bitcoin, which will be the moment to sell it at a high price.
So we can only presume that the next halving could trigger the bitcoin price to skyrocket and even surpass the last ATH price.
If that does happen, we can certainly make huge profits from bitcoin but that's only for people who already own a lot of bitcoin.
ATH can occur at any time of the year as long as there are driving market forces and these forces are factors for which Bitcoin thrive on. It is true during Bitcoin halving, Bitcoin price increases with a good price resulting to ATH but we pray minners do not self so as not to have side effects on the  Bitcoin. But one thing I know is that whales are the most beneficiaries of this whole thing because they have good volume of Bitcoin in their possession and at such would be very much in the right position to collect profit.
1392  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Your health is your greatest wealth and assets. on: August 15, 2023, 01:52:33 PM
I think we should not be harsh on OP as he or she is trying to show concern and remind members on the need to have a good health balance so as not to fall ill in the cause of looking for daily bread or doing business. Although the post and write up looks very poor in research but it is good he or she showed concern to members by raising this topic. Like the sayings goes "health is wealth", one must be in a stable heath condition before thinking of doing anything work to earn a living. While you work, make out time for yourself, do check up  and engage in other health activities to keep you fit. Eat good food and fruits as well. This is the message I believe OP is trying to pass across.
1393  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How you got your first Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2023, 01:26:25 PM
EmbarrassedGetting bitcoin is very easy as you could imagine but even to that extent of it being that easy, one would need to be extremely careful so as not to get issues in the process of owning bitcoin as there are lots of scammers out there waiting for who to fall for them so they could take from them their time, resources, energy and skills put  together in doing works.

The options you have mentioned are very much good and okay to acquiring or owning bitcoin.

Buying of bitcoin involves your capital so you could own bitcoin. While in the process of doing this, one needs to conduct his or he due diligence so as to be on the safe side of not being scammed by scammers. Do well to crosscheck and confirm the authenticity of the vendors through which you want to purchase from because scammers are fond of cloning sites and making it look real like the original and they steal your details and funds while you try to purchase from their fake site.

One can as well work to earn bitcoin as you have said but before you do that, you will need to be very sure of your payment because scammers use people to do work for them and after that they do run away after engaging one to work for them using their skill, time, energy, experience and resources hence you see people demanding for escrow for confirmation as to know if they are real or fake. Whatever the payment agreement be, the monetary value in bitcoin would be sent to the escrow before work commences.

My first bitcoin earned was from this forum as a result of the campaign I joined back then as I was eligible to apply for it. Luck being on my side, I was accepted for the campaign and it was paid in bitcoin on weekly basis which I have benefited hugely from it till this very moment. As a newbie, if you need or want to earn bitcoin from this platform and you have skills, you can put up your services for all to see and approach you for job to earn in bitcoin. Making good and quality posts gives you an edge in the possibility of you growing in ranks here and as well retaining you in the course of being a participant of  a campaign and the opportunity of  campaign managers accepting you into signature campaigns.
1394  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Could bitcoin help Nigeria falling economy on: August 15, 2023, 12:39:36 PM
If Nigeria where to accept bitcoin as its national currency would this help our country's current economy and how

OP I see you are a newbie here. It is nice you initiated a topic of discussion unlike back then when we came on board, it took us a little time before we could start creating a thread to start a topic or commenting and looking at the numerous things we need to learn and getting knowledge about here but notwithstanding, learning is a gradual process which one needs to undergo before perfection. But however, what you have asked here is very much important though.

Nigerian  government I think would not buy into the idea of making Bitcoin a national currency but I believe it would be accepted as an alternative in the sense that it could serve as an alternative means of payment between customers, businesses, and others as a digital currency and would be raking in revenue from transactions involving bitcoin payments and deals. Nigeria's government so far has been of the opinion of making her national currency more strengthened and valuable so therefore anything that would alter her course would be strongly opposed. Have you not heard of the news of the Bureau de Change calling on the federal government to ban Binance that has nothing to do with our currency devaluation?

The economy of a nation does not really depends on its currency but on what policies they have put in place to strengthen the economic and bilateral trading relationship with other foreign nations. What does a country have to offer to the world in terms of production and export? Being a consuming nation adds no value to her economy and currency so therefore  even if bitcoin is accepted as an alternative currency, it has no effect on the economy instead  her citizens would opt for it as a store of value to do away with her currency devaluation and economic inflation.
1395  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: BTC/NGN price manipulation on Binance or what is this on: August 15, 2023, 11:41:59 AM
Possibly that could be a result of price manipulation or a novice in the system test running their capabilities. I did not notice such not until l  saw this post and had to check and see for myself. There is no way this could have been a glitch on the part of binance  as they could have corrected it from their  end but it shows a trading signal already executed from the end of a user or trader. This price is over exaggerated with the current reality as any mistake of this nature might trigger some actions although would be in some certain interest but would be  a night mare in general as it relates with the country's economy if it gets to that point.

1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as good store for value on: August 15, 2023, 11:01:30 AM
Indeed bitcoin is a good store of value as it equates the worth of your assets in monetary value depending on the volume purchased. Bitcoin does not need any third party to keep it in safe for you but you could do that yourself free and void of any charges just like the banks and other agencies does while holding your fiat and managing your assets while using it to do business and still charges you for safe keeping when they have already made huge amount of profit from it.

When it comes to real estate for instance, you will have a lot of bills to pay running from maintenance fee to security cost to other bills which would be accruing for you and also third parties involved such as agent, paying of tax etc but holding bitcoin as a store of value puts you on an expenses free situations compared to the real estate and other activities. It gives you that sense of belonging as you see your assets value price appreciating as the case maybe but one should also have it in mind that sometimes markets decline  i.e volatility occurs in the market just as real estate and others depreciate in value overtime.
1398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is centralized, will other cryptocurrencys survive ?. on: August 15, 2023, 10:42:04 AM
Bitcoin as the mother of all cryptocurrency value is derived from the fact that it is a decentralized commodity void of one government and human control but rather a general audience  commodity controlled by market demand. From the unset, the founder of bitcoin knew that if he or she had handed over bitcoin to the government, it would have been manipulated and fully dominated by the government and not giving room for massive adoption which is the case today but rather choose to hand it to the masses i.e public for their usage.

The issue of other cryptocurrencies survival does not depend fully on bitcoin but somehow, bitcoin activities have its side effect on them. Although people invest in them to  take profit and it goes on that way that projects keep thriving on the same scenario. The fact that there is no control over bitcoin makes it unique and void of government interference on market price and demand. This is the edge bitcoin has over other cryptocurrencies and therefore it is independent of government policies and regulations compared to other crypto assets.
1399  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria Announced to increase fuel to 720 on: August 14, 2023, 01:34:27 PM
As a matter of fact, where the problem lies is that Nigeria is a consuming nation. Virtually everything we use is imported into the country even the least things we need import are imported so tell me how does the economy be stable.  We have no working or functional refinery to refine our crude instead we sell our crude oil or swap for refined products and still import it with loss. The cabals are just using this country as their football pitch where they could just host a match sit and watch how it goes. Sorry to say this Nigeria is a laboratory where experiments are done and the results are put on trial to see the outcome and reactions of her citizens.

With regards to the electric cars you have said OP. If fuel alone would cause such an uproar is it the electricity that is epileptic that you would depend on to power your electric car and bike? How often do you have electricity power supply? Do you think there is any charging taminal for such if it gets drained of power on high way? Or is it the one that you will be given over estimated bill for what you did not consume monthly?

Nigeria is not yet set to even be independent. What is it with all these over dependence on foreign import yet we claim we are independent and we cannot even produce to export so as to have a balanced economy. Currency being devalued everyday. Poor salary structure for civil servants but yet on them the nation's economy and administration is managed.

What a nation!!
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How possible can this be and if possible how can it be effectively detected? on: August 14, 2023, 12:22:15 PM
OP if I am not mistaken, from your point of view I believe you are talking about bitcoin transaction and to the best of my knowledge, Bitcoin transaction ID can not faked in any ways. Once a transaction is initiated, it is sent to a pool for confirmation and upon successful confirmation, it reflects i.e been credited to your wallet account. So no one can think of faking a transaction ID.

If you feel someone faked a transaction ID, you have the blockchain explorer to confirm or see for yourself
If the transaction is real or not. What you just have to do is copy the transaction hash and paste on the search bar and search for yourself. Believe me you, if it is a fake it definitely would not show any transaction but if real, would open the ledger for you to see for yourself.

So therefore, it is easy to detect a fake transaction ID by just copying the hash to pasting on the explorer for your on view.
