It's good tonsee they finally won the game against Athletico Madrid but that doesn't hide the fact that they're a very derailing side this season for the past five or six fixtures. Before the World Cup and after the Cup. Real Madrid has shown a drop in how they possess the ball in midfied.

One thing is sure, if same way they did perform last night was repeated, they're missing out on the La Liga Competition and award.
If they still get to another finals, Barcelona will show how much they have improved and win the game, I want to win two trophies I might sound a bit biased but still not a Barcelona fan. I just want to see them clear to financial issues arising.

I do expect a match against Barcelona and Real Madrid to face off in the finals. I think Barcelona is in top form being currently at the top of the la liga table. I believe Real Madrid would go on to face Barcelona in the finals and in my opinion, Barcelona is more favored to win the game. They’re arguably better than their opponents and are more likely to win the cup.
Real Madrid hasn’t been playing at their best lately and in my opinion are lucky to having won the game against Atletico Madrid.

Frank Lampard should have even been sacked a long time ago, you look at how they Everton play and you know that they are not just going anywhere but down the league if he continues with the club..
Ten Hag knows what he wants, Selling MacTominay and Maguire will not make the team performance poor, they can go in peace.

Frank Lampard wasn’t actually doing anything signifying improve the performance of Everton and in my opinion should have saved face and resigned voluntarily.
It’s now left to the new man to take up the mantle and lead the club to goal scoring ways and to victory.
I think Ten Hag on the other hand is doing fine as Manchester United is doing great. He still has a lot more to do to take the club back to its old glory.

@Iroh what I liked from this match was Vinicius Junior response as any other player would have been probably rattled to see his effigy hanging, but he kept his composure and helped his team win. Furthermore such cowardly acts should be punished, and strong actions should be taken to prevent such activities because this is not how a player should be treated.

It definitely would rattle any player to see something like that. And I must applaud him for keeping his cool as he didn’t let that incident affect his abilities. No player should have to go through acts or show of discrimination and/or violence.

It’s a good thing the Spanish authorities have opened an investigation cause the offender/s must be responsible for their actions. It’s a good thing he kept his composure. Personally, I think the win over Atletico Madrid is the perfect response to the disgusting and irresponsible act that was displayed.

The match between Real Madrid vs Athletico Madrid in the quarter finals is now over with Real Madrid being the victor with 3 goals to Athletico Madrids 1.

It was a pretty tense and interesting match. I would say the match was a bit difficult for Athletico Madrid as Real Madrid dominated the game mostly in the second half as it was in the second half that Real Madrid sort of came to life and scored the three goals to put them ahead to win the match and advance further up.

This will make them back to confident after lost 1-3 versus Barcelona on Super Cup. In La Liga stand, those 3 difference points they must have to chase if still want to compete with Barcelona. We know their performance is not well when comparing it to the last session. maybe injury and tired factor still a Madrid problem has

This would perhaps boost their confidence quite a bit. They still have a chance at la liga as they’re currently just 3 points behind the league leaders Barcelona. I think this win over Athletico Madrid is a much needed morale booster and they needed one.

The match against Athletico Madrid was an interesting and entertaining game. Real Madrid staged a heroic comeback. They equalized the game and went ahead to comfortably win it he game with 2 more goals. Now, that’s a comeback. Great game overall and a nice win for Real Madrid.

I am happy to see Rashford as an English player who continues to grow with his club.
It could be that he will continue his good statistics against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup Final if the Magpies make it through.
Rashford is very impressive and can keep scoring in every game till the end of the season, but it may be difficult for him to run through the defenders of Newcastle like he did to score the first goal against Nottingham. Newcastle is much better defensively and have good attacking threat. Even if Rashford scores, there is no sure bet that Newcastle will not be able to score back. But the finals is still a long time ahead, Manchester United still have to play a lot of games and we can only hope that Rashford does not get injured or his performance drop before the finals.

Although Rashford is a very talented footballer, it’s very unlikely that he would be able to score a goal in every game till the end of the season.  His performance has greatly improved and that has impacted positively on Manchester United as he has helped the club win a lot of games in the premier league.
Newcastle is not a team to be underestimated in any way as they’re also greatly in form and that’s shown in the league tables as they’re currently sitting at the third position.

It would be detrimental for Manchester United to lose a player like Rashford to injuries and the like.

I am not sure if Arteta will play his first team against Man City tomorrow in FA Cup or maybe play his second team while resting some of his main squad, however I believe the match will be a true test for Arsenal in readiness of there meeting in the league with Man City, Arteta should play his first team and test their ability and strength with Man City to ascertain how well prepared when they play against them in late February and to ensure they continue with their winning streaks, this is a big opportunity to test Trossard their new signing because I am convinced with performance of his second team.

I believe Arsenal would go all in to try and win the game. Arteta would probably use his best guys to try and win the game. And like you said, it would surely be a true test of strength tactics and perhaps a strength of wits for Arsenal. This would surely show how ready Arsenal is to face Manchester city the second time in the premier league.
They could use their best guys in the game but I think despite that, Manchester City would come out victorious. They are also in good form and are playing well. They also would want to send a message to the league winners by winning the FA cup game tomorrow.

Tomorrow Arsenal will play against Manchester City in the FA Cup match which of course this will be very interesting, because if Arsenal manage to beat Manchester City in this match then that is an extraordinary achievement. Because if Arsenal win this match then Arsenal have managed to beat two Manchesters in a row, and maybe that will be a historical record as well.
I hope that a winning result for Arsenal can happen in this match, because of course it will be the perfect result for Arsenal in this season and in this moment.

Manchester City is in good form and has a home advantage also. They have a pretty good chance of winning the game. Manchester city would go all in to win the game and I think they've got a good chance of doing it too. Arsenal, no doubt would try to score goals and win the game but it would be difficult.

It would definitely be an interesting game to watch as both teams are in form. Arsenal would also go all in to win the match and would try to beat Manchester city again

The truth is that Graham Potter also contribute to the problem of Chelsea,  a good coach should be able to manage the kind of player Chelsea has, atleast some level of good performance is supposed to be seen in the players. I think the strategies he uses as a coach is not working for the team. Chelsea already have players but lack a quality coach that can bring out best from the players .

I would agree with you on this. The coach also has a part to play(probably more)in the level of performance his team displays on the field of play.

Chelsea already has some of the finest players in the world and needs someone who is able and capable to see and bring out the potentials buried deep inside each player. Along with that, formulation of new strategies using the potentials of his players is also key and something the coach ought to consider.

Returning to Barcelona is very possible for Messi after his contract expires with PSG, Messi can help his partner (Xavi) to repeat his success with Barcelona. At the age of 35, he can spend time with a club that has made his name big, Barcelona will welcome Messi arrival, especially since some time ago Xavi had said he really wanted Messi to be in his squad.
Messi relationship with Xavi could be one of the reasons for Messi to return to Barcelona, Xavi has also asked Messi directly to help him rebuild Barcelona.

Many fans also want this to happen, Messi to come back home and play with Lewi, but PSG still believes that Messi's future lies at PSG.
Messi contract extension talks at PSG are underway, and I think PSG is the best choice.
With Paris Saint-Germain, Messi has the opportunity to win the Ballon d'Or and win the Champions League.

I personally don’t see Messi returning anytime soon back to his former club, Barcelona.
He has played his time over there and now looking ahead to better and a more competitive football. PSG, would not agree to see Messi go back to Barcelona after paying so much for him in the first place. I’m pretty sure they’ve got plans for his stay in the club and are probably looking to extend his contract at the club.

I don’t see Messi ever coming back to play for Barcelona. I don’t even think it wise to do so.

The match between Barcelona v Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey today is a very interesting match, because it seems that bookies don't see Real Sociedad as a strong team. Even though Real Sociedad is in third place in the La Liga standings, it looks like that still doesn't allow Real Sociedad to be able to provide strong resistance for Barcelona.

Also, so far this season Barcelona and Real Sociedad have just met or played once in the second week of the season. At that time Real Sociedad was playing at home, but Barcelona could win with a score of 4-1. Maybe because Barcelona's head to head record is so dominating, that might be one of the reasons Real Sociedad really can't be seen as a strong team when playing against Barcelona.

Real Sociedad isn’t a walkover and shouldn’t be overlooked. I think they’re a pretty strong team and it’s evident with their third place position with 38 points on the league table.
It would surely be an interesting match. More interesting if Real Sociedad would prove themselves better than Barcelona and go ahead and win the game. I wouldn’t put it past them.

Barcelona is obviously a formidable opponent having lost only 2 games and perhaps more favored to win and that’s probably why bookies don’t see Real Sociedad strong enough to beat the current league leaders.

betting on a draw on the Chelsea match against Fulham I think a very good choice considering the strength of these two teams is quite balanced.
Arsenal are of course very favorite because they are in a positive trend and have high confidence for now after a series of good results they have received.

an interesting match is Tottenham against Manchester City, this match will be fierce but I also think that Man City will be able to win because of their big motivation not to lose full points again so as not to fall further behind Arsenal who are at the top of the standings.

this weekend I plan to make a parlay in these 3 matches, a win for Man CIty, Arsenal and also a draw in the Chelsea match.

I also think a draw is pretty possible in the match between Chelsea and Fulham. Chelsea has been in poor form lately and I don’t see them winning the game against Fulham.
While I think Manchester City has a good chance of winning the game against Tottenham, it would be a very tough one as Manchester City would go all out to win the game and try and close the gap between themselves and the league leaders, Arsenal.
I would say a win for Manchester City and perhaps a draw for the Chelsea vs Fulham game.

The season is quite so unfriendly to Chelsea, even with all the signings, I still don't see significant changes. I think Chelsea is a bit too reluctant at looking into the deficiency in their midfield, Todd Boelly is just too focused on buying attackers. Before it was different flaws From different wings, now the attacking line has been revived yet the gameplay isn't still changing because new things are still needed in the midfield and defense just as it is in the attack. Not solving this before February can be a big risk in a champion league match
Chelsea needs a creative midfielder to open space for the attack line and of course he must have an accurate pass to make it easier for the attackers to get the ball. But right now, Chelsea still haven't found the figure of the player and it's very rare for a midfielder with that style of play. As for several clubs such as Odegaard, Kevin De Bruyne and Nicolo Barella, it seems that they will never be sold because they are all key players in their respective clubs.

The midfield of any club is very vital as the midfield could either assist the forward and create chances for goals and also assist the defense in defending against goals.

Chelsea really needs an intervention in form of a great midfielder to be able to turn things around and make their midfield perform a lot better then it is now. They need a capable midfielder to be able to give accurate, consistent and effective passes that could very well lead to goals.
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE ROLE OF BITCOIN IN EFFORTS TO HELP FLOOD AFFECTED COMMUNITIES on: January 24, 2023, 08:48:24 PM
I wouldn’t exactly say it’s a role bitcoin has to play in efforts to alleviate the suffering of the communities affected by flooding cause it doesn’t. I could as well say “the role of fiat currency in efforts to alleviate poverty in the world”.

I do think you’re doing an admirable thing and a great service to the flood affected communities by providing relief materials to people In need. While also spreading the gospel of bitcoin along the way.
1396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin gaining this much fame despite it's restrictions? on: January 24, 2023, 06:10:07 PM
Why is bitcoin gaining this much fame despite its restrictions? Easy… Bitcoin is a life changing innovation that has shaken both the governments of the world as well as the traditional financial institutions.
Of course it would attract the curious minded ones and curiosity is a trait that’s in every individual and that’s why it has and is still fast gaining adoption despite restrictions, criticism and outright bans from governments and financial institutions.
1397  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: January 24, 2023, 05:39:01 PM
I prefer to be a business owner. Although it isn't easy becoming a business owner in some countries especially the developing countries but hardworking and endurance, one will make it's one day.

Yeah, I guess everyone would prefer to be their own boss and not having to work for anyone. I would say it is not an easy feat to start and run a successful business anywhere and not specifically in devolving countries.

As a newly created business, you would have to deal with already established businesses and companies that provide the same kind or some alternative of the services you provide.

Being a business owner isn’t a walk in the park. It would take a lot of time, dedication and time along with a lot of funds for capital. But over the years, if you keep at it, you would then have some profits coming in and that’s when being a business owner becomes enviable.
1398  Economy / Economics / Re: Common Currency for Brazil and Argentina: Africa Why? on: January 24, 2023, 04:53:27 PM
The economies of one, two or more countries can’t be strengthened by a common currency alone. For any economy to thrive, there must first be peace and stability. Without peace, there is no way any economy would grow.

There are countries in Africa that are going through internal wrangling and conflicts. Countries like that just can’t have a good and strong economy. Besides, just cause everyone’s doing it, doesn’t mean Africa should also adopt a currency.

Also, corruption which is EVERYWHERE, is prevalent in African politics. With that in mind, how would economic growth take place?
1399  Economy / Economics / Re: A True Leader With Economic Vision. on: January 23, 2023, 02:42:34 PM
For me a good leader has the following characteristics:

  • Vision
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Decisiveness
  • Adaptability
  • Communication
  • Self-awareness
  • Empathy
  • Mentorship
  • Empowerment
  • Responsibility
  • Charismatic

and most of all
  • God fearing

I believe a leader must have this characteristics, it might not make the leader perfect but at least he has the characteristic to bond people together.
For someone of the Christian faith, being God fearing is a great characteristic in person, I must point out that it is not a characteristic of being a good leader. I don’t know why people feel the need to bring in religion when religion isn’t needed.

You mentioned some good qualities a leader should have. You then went ahead and insinuated that people that don’t believe in God can’t be a good leader cause they lack the most vital characteristic a good leader should have. Being God fearing.  That’s laughable and in a way sad.
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: January 23, 2023, 02:09:21 PM
Of course, everyone has a different opinion about investing.
In my opinion, investing in bitcoin is better in the long run. because in the long run the benefits are greater. but if the short term profit is small, just look at the bitcoin chart from 2009 to 2021. and usually people who invest in the short term invest mostly in altcoins.
But in my personal opinion both of them are good but have different functions and depending on needs, so I think investing in bitcoin is a wise decision if accompanied by good money management, bitcoin can be categorized as a risky investment, because crypto prices fluctuate a lot. the most difficult key in investing is to be patient and manage your emotions, the key to investing is understanding what you are investing in and managing it yourself.

While I do agree that you do have to have some level of understanding on whatever investments you want to invest in, I think you mustn’t necessarily manage your investments yourself.
There are a whole lot of people out there with investments managers that help manage their investments on their behalf. These managers could act on behalf on their clients and are in most cases, a lot more knowledgeable on everything stocks and investments than the client. I do agree that patience is a key feature to have when going into investing.
