1381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Hal Finney/Craig Wright being Satoshi? on: October 27, 2019, 08:23:06 AM
Craig Wright is an impostor and for me is gross to see that guy acting like he is Satoshi. I think Hal Finney was just a colaborator of Satoshi Nakamoto and not the man itself or maybe Satoshi is a group of highly intelectual people and he was part of them. But one thing I hate on this world are scammers and impostors, I think they have no higher scope of life, their sole goal is to make money and enjoy the so called "pleasures", but they won't ever understand that they have dumped their spiritual part away by choosing that life.
1382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Nigeria Naira becomes first Fiat currencies to be listed on Binance. on: October 26, 2019, 07:34:54 PM
Be cautious while trading with the Nigerian Naira (NGN). This particular currency has lost almost 60% of its value during the last 5 years. The exchange rate was 1 USD = 160 NGN in 2014, and now the exchange rate stands at 1 USD = 361 NGN. The Nigerian government has devalued the NGN two times recently, once in 2016 and the last time in 2017.

Looking at the chart NGN has been stable for the last 2 years, going sideways. But man.. those drops make it a forex world shitcoin. Of course that traders who are are willing to trade BTC using NGN should either cover themselves against NGN downside or closely watch the economical and politic aspects of Nigeria. It is important for a trader to know what kind of asset is he trading at all moments Wink

1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔵 [ANN] 🔵 MPG - REAL ESTATE BLOCKCHAIN SOLUTION 🔵 on: October 26, 2019, 06:57:29 PM
A lot of newbie accounts posting in this thread. Hopefully you didn't make the mistake to create a bounty campaign for posting in your thread. That doesn't look good at all for prospective investors. However that's my opinion. Maybe others like a lot of one-liners posted one after another and a lot of quotes as well.

Also I am yet to see a successful blockchain real estate project. Until now all I've seen are promises and no actual public and mediatized results. I'm in a lot of crypto communities and no one is talking about real estate..
1385  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin using or need! Vs stable coins on: October 26, 2019, 06:08:09 PM
Why do you need fiat? To use them as a mean of payment. But we have a problem with fiat as it is centralised, controlled by governments, and they inflate it as much as they want. I hope you are aware of the huge, enormous, gigantic - you name it - debt that United States have. And not only them but all the countries in the world suffer from heavy inflation of their money. 1%-5% of your fiat holdings are going to garbage. In 10 years that could be more than a quarter of your dear savings. We need a currency that combines the store of value function with a more convenient and efficient payment method and Bitcoin does all of that for us and even more. I Why keep fiat if we have a better method to make payments? - that should be the question.
1386  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have to sell bitcoin to an alt, so... on: October 26, 2019, 05:55:31 PM
From a technical perspective LINK looks good, but XMR has been decent in comparison with the other shitcoins. However if something would happen to Bitcoin probably the whole cryptocurrency market would go down with it. So, if I'd have to sell Bitcoin I would reinvest them into the traditional markets where my money is backed by holdings and an actual business.
1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 26, 2019, 05:40:14 PM
Having a last minute bet on Genoa vs Brescia tonight. It's going to be a tough match as both teams are at the bottom of the ranking and they have quite low scoring rates so I will be going for under 3.5 goals in the match and a 1X because the last time Brescia won against Genoa was on 1998. As far as I know in the italian league there are not so many goals scored regularly due to the more defensive playing style, but surprises happen everywhere.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 26, 2019, 04:44:01 PM
I have read a lot of the responses in this thread and I think the best way to donate is to fool ourselves into allocating a certain monthly budget from our wages to gambling and donate even $1 to a charity or cause. This is of course only if you really have the urge to gamble as a method of entertaining yourself. Think about it like paying a ticket to the cinema( a few of them) and then after you got entertained and you still got some bucks left do a good in this world and plant a tree or help a sick person have an operation, etc. It's also good for the soul no matter how you got that money through gambling or from your wage or any other legal activity you've done.
1389  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-26] Crypto Owners in US Have Risen 81% YTD on: October 26, 2019, 03:44:59 PM
Slowly more and more countries will FOMO into the cryptocurrency craze. In my opinion it's going to be something similar to the gold rush in the wild west, but a modern model Cheesy

It is really encouraging to see such a growth in the US cryptocurrency adoption and I hope this continues to grow. As I've stated before in this room I'm keeping an eye on the African countries as they are the most interested in cryptocurrencies and the global expansion will probably be started by them.
1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Mega Breakout - 56 billion dollars in a few hours !! on: October 26, 2019, 02:05:11 PM
Well, there were quite a few factors to take into account and I think that each one of them contributed to the upwards price squeeze. First of all the chinese announcement, then the death cross incoming which created a very bearish sentiment in the market and at the same time massive liquidity for the bulls. Then we've seen a massive spike in volume on Bakkt signaling institutional investors are making a move. Here's your explanation. Smiley
1391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you waste your time for 5 cents worth of bitcoin? on: October 26, 2019, 12:04:21 PM
That is the work that little players do, click a button and make a few cents. nobody has high skills playing this job. because time is the most important thing for them. doing such work is a waste of time, in 1 day, you will not make a few dollars, even if you do it nonstop. so in my opinion that job is not worthy for you, you can use that time for more profitable job like trading

I always laugh when people talk so easily about trading. First of all trading is not a job and you can't just go to the markets pay attention to them and make money. It is not an ATM, but a fierce "battlefield" if you will. That is why over 95% of traders lose money. Also before doing this you need to actually have money to risk in the markets which I don't think a third world inhabitant has.
1392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Analysis: What Has Triggered 30% Surge? on: October 26, 2019, 10:43:25 AM
To me it is clear that the bulls are very powerful at the moment in the market and the surge was after a bear trap that generated liquidity for the institutional investors. This way the death cross on the daily has been denied beautifully. Looking for the former macro bull trend to resume and reach for a new ATH. The fundamental part of Bitcoin is just holding too much weight with the halvening coming in May 2020 and the big accounts capturing more and more BTC from the circulating supply.
1393  Economy / Gambling / Re: Most Reliable List - Crypto Gambling Sites - All Bonus Codes on: October 26, 2019, 06:23:23 AM
Here's my feedback on the OP website. I do think the site has a "good" feel and can act as a great landing page for getting yourself some referrals. However as more users said above you should look into adding more information about the casinos like house edge, reliability score(maybe rate them by how much they have been in the space, if they had any problems in the past, etc.).
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you waste your time for 5 cents worth of bitcoin? on: October 26, 2019, 05:28:15 AM
If it is legit and you have a clear business model - for example you make money from advertising then yes, I don't see why wouldn't I take 5-10 cents in the form of most valuable cryptocurrency by clicking a button that literally takes me 10-20 seconds..

I'm curious what is the revenue model you're thinking at. My guess is that you want to start a PTC website, but feel free to surprise me. Cheesy
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real Reason Why Bitcoin Price Shot Up Today on: October 26, 2019, 05:19:36 AM
I do think that China's news acted as some kind of fuel for the current surge in price, but what do you think about sudden raise in trading volume on Bakkt? They had stable 2 digits volume and in one day boom 1000 BTC volume. Don't you think the big boys started accumulating through the regularized exchange futures exchange and now they are pumping up the price?
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: October 25, 2019, 07:52:31 PM
This is interesting project I just saw this while browsing on the bounty section.

Let me ask when this Stablecoin will be listed on Binance?

Is it right that the price of Gold is 48.25 USD each I thought it was a stablecoin but it shows different prices in cryptex.

Being a stablecoin does not mean it will have a fixed value over time, but it won't be even close to the volatility you see on the other cryptocurrencies. GOLD is backed by physical real gold and is pegged to the spot price of Gold as Digital Gold is also providing liquidity for it aka doing market making and supporting the buying pressure to maintain a stable value. You can see the spot, purchase and redemption price through the Digital Gold gateway on their website: https://gold.storage/en/market
1397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner question about monetizing gains on: October 25, 2019, 07:19:51 PM
What is the coin trading against? If it has a BTC pair you can just sell the coin for BTC and then withdraw the BTC, no need to go through a payment processor like Advcash. I suppose they do let you to withdraw BTC..
Otherwise just trade against USD and then buy BTC, then withdraw. That would imply more fees, but if that's the only way you can get your money out of there GO FOR IT!
1398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I buy digital currency better when I only have $10,000 on: October 25, 2019, 06:56:13 PM
Is it true that a friend recommended me to buy digital currency for transaction on SunCoin platform and only need to pay a deposit to operate? Because this is my first contact

First of all I congratulate you for the mature decision to consult the crypto community here on Bitcointalk before making your decision. I haven't used, nor I've ever heard about the SunCoin platform & I think most of the community members here are in my situation. What does that mean? - Well.. they don't have any marketing in place - that COULD BE due to the fact that they are not reliable. However if you're just starting out in the cryptocurrency space you should use a more reputable exchange like Bitstamp, Binance, Kraken, Gemini, etc.
1399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's President Xi Jinping VS Bitcoin on: October 25, 2019, 05:32:13 PM
I don't trust communists and dictators.. Whatever they tell they will always have some personal interests behind them. You can call me a bitcoin maximalist, but I don't think we need another cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is perfect and more than what our world needs at the moment. It is also flexible as we can have consensus on any changes, but IMO Satoshi thought at all intricacies of how this cryptocurrency is going to grow when he/she/they created the code. We need a world currency, a good store of value, not national currencies controlled by governments or any other entities.
1400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Nigeria Naira becomes first Fiat currencies to be listed on Binance. on: October 25, 2019, 05:05:05 PM
Very intelligent move made by the CZ & the co. Africa is a huge niche for cryptocurrency projects taking into account the big percentage of unbanked people there. We all know what success MPesa had in Kenya and pretty much all over the African continent. I strongly believe that cryptocurrencies are going to be the catalyst that will end the hunger and boost Africa economic and social development close to what we now see in most of the countries.

Especially because they have most of the population unbanked means that there are less hurdles and they won't have banks protesting against the change Cheesy
