1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUZZ | BUZZCOIN | SHA256d | POW/100 % MONTH POS | NEW on: February 02, 2016, 05:23:16 AM
Isn't 25% a little bit much for TX?

It encourages long term staking plus it reduces inflation and allows for POW miners to get in on the action as the fees are 50/50 destroyed or rewarded to POW miners.

The 25% Tx fee is crucial and part of what I liked about this one.  It isn't aiming to be a coin for micro-transactions.  This coin could be like a new and improved version of TEK if it takes off.

Why is my wallet stuck at block 273 ?

I downloaded the new wallet and this is the first time opening the coin, I even tried to delete everything besides wallet.dat afterwards and still no dice...

Try to delete everything again and add the nodes.... Sockpuppet gave a great walk through a few posts back. Follow those steps and you should be good.

I did follow those steps and am not new to altcoins, perhaps give me the old windows wallet download so I can sync up till the fork and then open the new wallet and continue on, did you change the revision numbers for the client so their isn't any compatibility problems with older clients running ?

I have done the above over 10 times thinking it was a slow wallet but it just hangs on block 273 and when closing the wallet it continues to run in the background unless ending its process...

Are you still having issues?  I will upload a bootstrap if you need it.

I gave up trying but if you were to upload a boostrap for buzzcoin then I would be willing to try it again.

Check back in an hour and two and I'll have it ready.

EDIT : Sorry, it's not working.  I don't know how to make a "proper" bootstrap, I just take the blk0001.dat file, rename it bootstrap.dat, and it works just fine 99% of the time.

I did the same thing here and went to test it before uploading.  I cleared out my buzzcoin appdata folder except for a buzzcoin.conf file with connect=0 in it so I wouldn't connect to the network, and fired up the client.  It seemed to be going fine until I hit the infamous block 273 you mentioned in your post.  Yes, that's right, even completely locally and not connected to the network I could not load up past block 273 from a bootstrap.

I then cleared out my appdata folder completely and tried to sync from scratch by connecting to the network normally.  Again, it stopped at block 273.

I was going to try to sync using the bootstrap and the old client, because my theory is that something to do with the fork and client update makes that block unable to be processed by the new client or something.  Unfortunately, I deleted the original client already.

So, I guess all we can really do is wait for our dev to see this and hopefully he can figure out what the issue is.  The 25% Tx fees were not working when the coin was first released but he was able to get that functional.  This coin is a bit more complicated than your average cut/paste clonecoin so I'll cut him some slack and assume he will keep plugging away at it to all the bugs get worked out.

Looking into it!

Wow it happened to you too even though you were originally synced up.

I agree with your theory that you would need the original Buzzcoin Wallet to sync up until the hardfork and then change to the New Buzzcoin Wallet.

It could also very well be down to the client revision numbers and the nodes that are running the newer wallets are trying to send newer data to older clients because it thinks they are the same revisions.

I can't check because I don't have the old wallet either.

E.G v1.2.0.0 is an old client, then new Hardfork client revision numbers should be changed different to something like v1.3.0.0 or v1.2.1.0

An old coin called Emoticoin had the exact same problems which seems eras back but the network was riddled with upgraded clients with same revision numbers which caused the forks.

what miner are people using for the pools?

None unless there is some secretly being hidden away with that Network Hashrate ... 4.9Khs.... it was originally on 1.6Khs just after launch with the 1 reward cap until the 100th block.

This coin seems ok, could be used for a lot more things, mining is decent but ATM it is hard to get the 10K for a Obfuscation Masternode.

I'm a bit suspicious. There's no block source, the log has no new lines but it's still using a lot of CPU for whatever reason.

This coin is like a breath of fresh air.  Smiley

But you said this on the first page ^^^
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] QRK ALGO - PoW/PoS on: January 30, 2016, 09:00:07 PM
Any nodes ? No connection...

Wallet is not syncing.......what to do?

Run ! Since you can't even mine to an address that hasn't been created yet there is 8 people mining to an address on the pool..... very suspicious...

Maybe that Sr.Member account to be given away is this one that just set up a solo group....though I could be wrong... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1345538.0

Things just seem very suspicious since these solo groups have started popping up.

Granted that the users with good Trust/Post history are actually trying to do a legitimate thing by everyone to help take the potential risk out of investing into one of these groups without the doubt of getting screwed over by giving you the peace of mind by running one themselves.

We are looking into a Sprouts 2.0. This will have a lot of bug fixes, inflation control, and the ability for users to cash in their Sprouts for the new hardfork. This is in negotiation stages. We are unsure how the negotiations will pan. I just wanted to airdrop an update to the community.

Cryptsy royally screwed us all. $10,000,000.00 missing. Really BigVern? Really? Huh Thanks for nothing Cryptsy.

We will come back stronger if all goes to plan. Stay patient everyone. We are working hard to bring in a new era of Sprouts for everyone to enjoy. I am unsure of a time line as we are in a hard spot for all of crypto at the moment. Main Bitcoin core dev rage quitting. Bitcoin blocks full as ever. Trying times ahead. We can get through this together.

Best,

Peon

Didn't you say originally on the new SPRTS Thread that you were in talks with someone about SPRTS being listed on a Payment Processor, In talks with a famous artist who will takes months to design a special logo for the coin & getting SPRTS a staking Android wallet ?

All this hasn't been done & look how long it has been & now you say this ? ....... I like sprouts and all but I am pretty sure you are just blowing your own whistle and are expecting the masses to come because of it.

If you are that desperate to save Sprouts then PM iGotSpots and ask/pay him for his help to tweak the coin source/make a new one, but good luck with that since ECASH was the last coin he helped out and got the shit riddled out of him for it.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FedoraCoin (TiPS); New style, new services, same unique features on: January 20, 2016, 05:55:10 AM

Man I can't wait to see TRBO start climbing good and strong Smiley Once people realize that there is way less money supply than Sprouts they will be sure to jump on board this train Wink Cheers

I'm also surprised that a lot of people are still in SPRTS instead of TRBO considering the total coins in existence & yearly stake interest.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitPound [BTP]- sha256 pow/pos/airdrop on: January 16, 2016, 10:53:04 PM
Tell you the truth sir, after seeing you fishing for peoples details  or being an affiliate to a (dunno what site it is cant even be bothered to click, you didnt explain)
you can count me out, ill bob back in at block 20k POS if you get that far, looks like no one at nova.

www.cex24.com and its trading engine belong to the developer of BTP. We use it for the airdrop and will use it for trading in the future. We are not phishing for any details. Bitcointalk-username and BTP-address are the only information stored temporarily (until airdrop is over). This is the only way to prevent the same people from claiming airdrop coins.

Actually no it doesn't prevent anything, do you know how many shill accounts and extra BPT addresses you can make and link together even emails.... and then even on top of that if you go the Single IP only route then VPN's come into it....

There is always flaws in something, even Bitcoin....maybe Wink
