I could've got a point for the EL question if it weren't for Zrinjski letting two goals slip away in the second half.  Tongue

The good news, i'm still in the lead since we both got it wrong and the bad part is that i'm slowly losing the tennis question, as I don't think Sinner will be losing against Murray later today.

Duelbits recently announced their FPL promotion (free to play) with a prize pool worth $100k. The only requirement is a duelbits account and you're good to go.

BetFury also has an FPL promotion. The prizes are all in free bets worth $3000 and there's a $500 overall wagering requirement that's easy to clear by playing dice.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 10, 2023, 09:12:56 PM
Have you experienced this feeling and what are the steps that you've taken to fight this Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS)

Do you think people who have a chance to make a lot of money should be aware of this and do you know what you're going to do if you won a big amount of money?
I've been there a few times after winning a few good casino promotions that I wasn't expecting to win, and what I did was exchange my winnings for fiat, as I don't have the same itch for spending money when all I have is fiat.

Gamblers need to be aware because even if they're not winning big in casinos, it can still lead them to make poor decisions that they shouldn't have made. They have to find a solution that would keep them grounded because winning can send a gambler's confidence through the roof and that's where the poor decisions could start.

BetBoom to make their first appearance at the IEM Sydney Open Qualifiers
https://www.hltv.org/news/36847/betboom-to-make-first-appearance-in-iem-sydney-open-qualifier
The open qualifier looks stacked. They'll be tested once they meet 500 or Team Spirit in the future rounds.

The LCK playoffs are now in the double elimination bracket after T1 and HLE won the first round. Today, T1 will be facing the new best team in the LCK and that's KT Rolster, i'll be betting on their ML @1.35 and the -1.5 handicap @1.8 because T1 didn't look that clean yesterday against DK.

Edit: T1 proved me wrong and KT got gapped so hard in game 5.

This is a monter line-up if this true. Nine is a very success pful mid laner that dominate most of their matches. Stepping down to pos 4 will give him a better insight on how to properly support midlaner since that is his forte. Both Godson and Nine is a high level player with unorthodox game style.

If this line-up come through and they sync properly. I think they might have a chance to properly defend their title because we all knew how bad Tundra now without Saksa missing most of there matches.
Also, Topson stood in for Tundra in one of their series back then, so the transition should be smooth between him and the team. And Nine should be fine with the role switch as he's one of the players that can still be effective without soaking up much farm in the map.

According to the team rankings updated 2 days ago, Astralis moved up 4 places to 6th place. NaVi, on the other hand, moved up 7 places to 9th. I have no doubt that NaVi and Astralis will achieve better rankings with time. Both teams are rebuilding and they need time.
There's Cloud9 too, they went up 5 spots in the rankings and there's potential for them to improve together with the other teams.

The Super Cup just finished with Benfica winning 2-0 against Porto. Now i'm in the lead in our h2h but things could quickly change if the tennis question goes in my opponent's way.

Now I have just 2/4 left, and the remaining ones are mutual answer with my opponent, I need Jannik Sinner to commit another sin as usual, and then Ruud also not making it to the semis, if not, I'm a toast already for this round  Sad, Now with the number of top seeds that have been eliminated already, it sure thus increase their chances of going further doesn't it? Angry
I also need Sinner to lose against Berrettini because if he wins here, he'll probably have no problem advancing to the semi-finals.

1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots fever on: August 09, 2023, 09:38:11 PM
My best slot session was landing a $200 payout from triggering several free rounds in a row, and I only decided to play slots at the time because I received a set of free spins from the casino. I don't think I could beat this session because it's one of the luckiest wins i've had and you don't always get a good payout from winning free rounds.

I also had unlucky sessions and I remember spinning a few hundred times expecting to hit at least 40x-50x because there was a promotion for hitting specific multipliers on different slots, and the best multipliers i've hit during that session were around 5x-8x.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 09, 2023, 01:41:38 AM
Yesterday, there was a rumor about Topson possibly playing for Tundra because of Nine pub games where he's mostly been playing the position 4 role and it makes sense when we saw Saksa missed the last two or three tournaments.

More league betting with the LCK playoffs between T1 and DK. The odds favor T1 now that Faker is back and their regular season record is slightly misleading because he was injured in the second half of the season. I'll take the over 3.5 @1.32 as I think it's the best bet because even though I don't trust both teams, I still see the series ending 3-1 at the minimum.

1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 09, 2023, 12:26:25 AM
In my case, my friend was the one who got pressured into gambling because I used to share some of my slot wins with him, and then he got interested in online gambling.

My first bet isn't because of peer pressure but more about the interest in a popular online game that's based on skills (it's similar to esports), and it got competitive to the point where a bit of money was involved as it's one of the few ways to face against the good players.
1390  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 08, 2023, 10:46:18 PM
It's not that gamblers aren't proud, i've answered a similar question before and one of my reasons for keeping mine a secret is that I don't want to give my family members a headache because when it comes to gambling, they're overprotective after one of their acquaintance became addicted from gambling.

I think that those who hide their passion for gambling just do not want unnecessary attention from the society.
I was about to mention this as well, being proud could attract harsh comments from people you don't know and there's no need to give yourself more problems if you can keep your gambling habit to yourself.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Please put your gambling threads in the correct section!!!! on: August 08, 2023, 09:26:30 PM
I always use the report to moderator button on this case.
I also do the same, but it's not enough because not all moderators that handle the reports know what threads need to be moved to the gambling discussion board. I used to report threads posted on the gambling board and my last set of reported threads all got rejected when all I requested was for the topics to be moved to the gambling discussion board.

What you can always do is that, when ever you come across a topic that you feel is not quality enough or worthy or important enough to be discussed, you can always use the report button and leave the final decision to the mods, if the mods find the topic to be low quality indeed, they themselves will delete it.
On top of this, make sure to put a comment in the report. Back then, most of the low-quality threads that get reported would be deleted right away and now the mods only lock them.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering - share your opinion on: August 08, 2023, 02:22:48 AM
@ralle14 So this La Partage roulette game you would say gives you a better chance at raising wagering requested amounts needed to fill a requirement than any other table game available?
Had somebody tell me a longtime ago that baccarat had the least amount of loss if you choose both banker and player for a bet. I think I tried it once and lost 10% of my bet each round. So stopped doing that for gaining a higher wagering round.
Yup, in that roulette game, the worst case that can happen in each round is losing half of your bet, but you still need a bit of luck because there are times when the green hits one too many times or only once within the last 200 rounds.

I also had baccarat in mind but it can chunk through your bankroll if the dealer only gives out banker wins most of the time.

Noone is gonna play in the SEA, with Team SMG. I think this is the first time that he'll play for the SEA region and this is to be expected that a team will take him when the situation and status of the Old G is unstable. I am expecting that Topson will also be taken somewhere else but no longer with a SEA team as he has got a bad experience with T1 before.

And with an update which is still a rumor, this is for the pubs, no more destroying of items. Or, it's still allowed for players to destroy items but you'll get punished like being banned for matchmaking with 4 hours and 1 single draft game. No more Quinn tilting I guess?  Grin
That's a good carry upgrade for Team SMG, and I hope they perform well because I could see them making it in the finals if they have the same form during Tour 2 where they finished in third.

I also heard the rumors, but it might be in the testing phase because there's no official announcement and only a few players are receiving the punishment.

I got three units on WBG @1.40 they'll face EDG in the Regional finals for a chance to take the fourth spot for the Worlds 2023. I see some value on EDG's odds as I think they can push the series to the distance but i'm riding with WBG because their lineup is too stacked.

1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: August 08, 2023, 12:05:23 AM
Do you guys follow the casino streamers and are they fun to watch? Or do you think that playing casino slots yourself is more fun?

While these streamers may earn a good amount of money through streaming, they sometimes may become inspirational to the gamblers which may lead the normal gamblers to gamble more or become addicted too in some cases.

Thoughts Huh
I don't follow them anymore after they've moved to Kick, but I used to follow and watch some of them when they were still regularly streaming on Twitch. I always see them spin thousands of times and replenish their balance like it's demo mode. For me it's the opposite, i'm more discouraged to play slots because of the losses they've accumulated throughout the stream. I could still see others being inspired if they watch the stream at the right time because there are moments when a streamer would suddenly get a big win.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 07, 2023, 03:57:39 PM
Do you think its possible to become addicted to gambling when you haven't win a dime or after you win?

I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.
It's also possible for the losing gambler to become addicted because there are types of gamblers that won't stop until they get back the money they've lost. But I agree that it's more likely to start when you're in a winning session because you sometimes get a bunch of easy wins and gamblers would try to test the limits of their luck by doubling down on their bets or even going all in.

The EPL is less than a week away and Sportsbet launched a cashback promotion for the first round of the EPL.

The requirement to be eligible for the cashback is to have at least one outright bet on the EPL and opt-in through the promotion page. The minimum bet for the outright bet is $100 and you can place any outright bet on the EPL because there's no minimum odds requirement.

Almost all of the questions this week are about football Shocked but those double choices might give me a hard time scoring.

I'm also starting to overthink the tennis question because i've tried picking the lower-seeded players before and failed. If I take the favorites, one or two of them will surely ruin the party.  Tongue
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: August 07, 2023, 12:55:19 AM
I like this new Group stage format since every game will be important. Unlike in the old format where most of the team's goal was just to win 1 map to get a good place in the group, this time, every map is important. There are only 5 teams in each group and 1 is sure to be eliminated. Every map and every win is important to be sure not to get eliminated during the group stage. We are ensure that we will see exciting games as early as the group stage.
I would've agreed with you if the group stage only had the round-robin format, but I can still imagine teams trading maps as usual because of how the second phase works. And that's where things become important because a win could send any team to the upper bracket while the loser will be placed in the lower bracket. The second phase could set the lower-seeded teams up for a potential upset similar to what we saw during the UB playoffs of the Riyadh Masters.
1399  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why don't land-based casinos have an online version? on: August 07, 2023, 12:14:41 AM
I know a few casinos that have both, but not all are willing to start an online casino because it's not easy to replicate the same success they've had on their land-based casino. I remember seeing a couple of screenshots coming from random gamblers because there's one casino that is somewhat popular in my country, but the online version isn't any different from what crypto casinos have to offer. They wouldn't have a problem launching their online casino, but it could be a thorn in their side if the online casino isn't making enough profit in the long run.
