1381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: thank god for bringing btc back in 2018. on: November 16, 2022, 08:45:30 PM
It would be a disaster for others who bought at a high price but for us, that is buying for bitcoin; then it would be gold! I will also not make my mistake again, whatever I will do to buy it. But based on what I saw and the experts' analysis, it's difficult to reach, as it is very low from today's price. We can still purchase it now, no matter if it's just a small value; at least we bought it, and it would accumulate over time.
You don't need to consult an expert, a return to the 2016 price level for bitcoin is highly unlikely. I don't think it's a good thing for bitcoin to fall that deep, it could be a market crash, the end of the market.

Bitcoin price in 2016 is under $1000 and if bitcoin falls to that level that would actually be worse than seeing it as an opportunity and I really don't believe people will buy despite what they are claiming. If you don't want to make the same mistake again, buying bitcoin at the current price is already an extremely cheap price, don't expect more because bitcoin is growing and getting bigger day by day, big drops are sometimes not good for bitcoin.
I would, I really would, not just because it would be an insanely well investment, but because I like having bitcoins, as much as I possibly can, doesn't really matter if it doesn't end up being a good investment, I would still keep buying even if it dropped to 1 dollar, would be a novelty thing if nothing else.

You do not understand that there are people out there like me who would be involved with crypto world no matter what the price is, that’s not the aim for us, sure we love it when we profit from it, but even if we dont, as long as we are in the crypto world that is goo enough for us. That’s the type of people who would continue to buy no matter what the price is.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MATIC LEADING THE ALTCOINS MARKET on: November 16, 2022, 07:06:29 PM
First, we should DYOR, just because some project is going up right now, that it could sustain it's run and be the leader in the altcoin market.

Still ETH for me though, as the obvious leader in Altcoin market, there are a lot like BNB and ADA that you can compare to Matic rise, but the question is the sustainable and how Matic will maintain it's price. We all know that the altcoin market has a lot of risk involved, pump and dump, so very hard to invest on something that will continue to grow at this bear market.
He didn't say that it will be the leader forever but he only said that it is the leader at the moment but we can just disregard what the op have said as it was not official because for us eth will only be the leader of altcoins and that won't change anymore even if the price of eth right now is dumping and matic and some other altcoins are rising still.

We shouldn't only look at the current performance of the coins and based on that but we should also see if when is this coin created and how big it was ex. its market cap, and if what is its contribution in the crypto market. Sure thing matic have done some contributions and that is by the time eth transaction fees shoots up but it was smaller and newer compared to eth.
1383  Economy / Speculation / Re: The most stupid dip in Bitcoin's history - and why we can be happy now on: November 16, 2022, 05:31:42 PM
Yesterday, in several legs, the Bitcoin price dropped from around 18.500 down to 15.600 $, marking a new low for this bear market.

I call this the most stupid dip in Bitcoin's history (or at least one of the most stupid ones, there may have been others), because the event that triggered it was actually positive.
Yes, the event that triggered the downtrend was positive but I don't think this is the most stupid dip in Bitcoin history because the historical price of Bitcoin shows the bottom price of the market during a bear to be always triggered by positive events.

According to the historical price of Bitcoin. In November 2013 when BTC ATH was $1242 the market downtrend to $340 price which was said to be the lowest market price since the year 2012-2013 and the event was triggered by the Cypriot financial crisis.

Therefore, I don't this current bearish is the most stupid dip, and the last time I checked until all 21 Million is mine the market will always come with an event that's more stupid.
I think it was both negative and positive. Negative because it breaks the foundation that we already built for months. From $20k, we are down to $15k in just a couple of days but this is still positive because we can buy at this point. The op only said that this is "one of the most stupid" because he was aware that there are other events like this that cause the market to crash and one of it is already given by you and yes there will always be more to come.

Binance didn't buy FTX but they still have CoinMarketCap, Trustwallet and others. A lot of us still consider them as the monopoly of crypto. We are safe for now but not next time because I think binance will offer another exchange.
1384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The sole difference is capital. on: November 16, 2022, 01:43:31 PM
It is true that the success of a trader is not how much initial capital he has.
Having skills and understanding trading strategies is one of the very basic factors to be able to support success in the world of trading.
Knowledge of the basics, strategies in trading and good self-management is a good provision to start trading.
Success in trading does not have to have large capital in my opinion, we will get success if we have extensive and good knowledge of trading capital.
Of course it all comes from experience. Even with a small capital, it is possible to have great success in trading.
So I think it is true that success will be achieved if we have good knowledge, experience and good self-control in trading.
Even if you don't have a capital of your own but as long as you have a good skill in trading, you can always borrow some or do pilot trades to be able to produce your own money. Success isn't measured on how one started or if he has a big capital but the result at the end will matter the most.

Big capital traders with less knowledge can lose the capital later on but small capital traders with lots of knowledge can grow their capital later on. Starting with a big capital do also have a bigger risk and I think many professional traders are still humble and down to earth. They don't get confident and use more money as their capital even if they have the capacity of doing so.
1385  Economy / Economics / Re: There is Hope at the End of the Tunnel. Don't Give Up. on: November 14, 2022, 08:34:02 PM
I also think there is hope at the end of the Tunnel but sometimes there is none if the tunnel is blocked.  Just like what happened in FTX.  It is supposed to be bought by Binance but due to some regulatory issues,  Binance give up on the idea.
I don't think CZ and his Binance team gave up the option to Buy FTX because of just regulations issues, yes CZ was hot at acquiring it I even thought the deal was concluded. But I think the team generally had some rethink and evaluation internally (and going by the main reason for wanting to purchase it in the first place being to prevent competition) I think CZ and binance felt this route is effective and money saving for them.

To be honest I am still following the news up although it's affect the financial lives of many people, I really hope we pick up great lessons from this events.
Yes, because even binance themselves are already regulated and many cex too. Regulations are not a new thing anymore but it's now becoming a norm. Maybe you are right that the intention of buying FTX is to directly shut down the competition or to greatly lessen it rather since FTX was also one of top crypto exchanges nowadays and they think it will be a threat to them since FTX is slowly gaining a momentum.

If not because of this negative news that hit them, then maybe they will now be the second top exchange next to binance and they will completely overcome kucoin, and others. Apart from the competition thing, binance is also known for widening their empire as they also bought cmc on the past so maybe they have planned it already ever since before.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance poised to become a monopoly? on: November 14, 2022, 06:43:05 PM
I'm afraid people will continue to lose trust on CEXs due to constant hacks/theft and/or misuse of funds. This is good because it will make crypto more decentralized by forcing people to use DEXs as an alternative to existing centralized exchanges. After all, crypto is all about eliminating the single point of failure. When you give too much power to an exchange, that's when crypto becomes no different than traditional Fiat. Satoshi gave us Bitcoin to help us escape today's banking system. That means getting away from centralization as much as possible.

Binance make have taken the reign as the biggest exchange in the world, but it has a long road ahead before it becomes the sole player in the industry. I hope that never happens, or it will be a complete disaster for crypto. Competition is always needed to help the industry grow towards new heights. Empires don't last forever, so who knows if Binance becomes history sometime in the future? Just my thoughts Grin
Cryptos are already known to be decentralized even before but the introduction of centralized platforms and then the regulations lately makes it less decentralized. I don't know if what is that single point of failure you mean but crypto is about eliminating the middle man or the third party.

Satoshi's vision is about escaping slavery caused by banks but you shouldn't forget that many people here didn't care about it but they only care about making more money. Satoshi didn't think that the supposed to be currency that he have created will now function as an asset as well but he or we should be thankful about it as it made btc more popular.
1387  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 has been one of the most significant eventful years of crypto history. on: November 14, 2022, 11:10:31 AM
A lot happening .. as the bitcoin all time high cost some people a lot as well .. especially those who bought at the very top and with all these big companies went wrong ... makes bitcoin at the best and worst situation at a year. People forgot that there always a cost for every benefit.

This time around we are facing the toughest time as it seems crashing but actually it's not , temporary panic only.
The real risk and trying times for cryptocurrency is now what we see. The system is needing more sanitization for confidence of investors. Regulation of the cryptocurrency is suppose to be of very much tight so that in house businesses will be earlier monitor and detected for customers safety of funds. The current crash estimating huge finance loss can cause more panic.
I think FTX is regulated because it was one of the top crypto exchanges but it still collapsed so the sanitization/regulation thing that you are talking about is no use but it will only kill more the purpose of cryptos which is decentralization. People shouldn't panic but they must face the consequences because they insist to invest here in first place even after knowing that there is a big risk that entails in crypto. Panicking doesn't help but it will only make the situation more worse.

2022 is one of the worst years but I think it's okay to have a year like this sometimes. This is to remind people that some of their actions are incorrect. I hope those people will now learn after this.
1388  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time management on: November 13, 2022, 03:16:32 PM
It's true what you say all need management, especially in terms of time management. But sorry 1000x sorry I'm not a really consistent person when dealing with time. I sometimes let it flow and work according to the mood. Maybe because I no longer work in a certain company that requires being on time every time. I as an entrepreneur control it all according to what I want to control. I feel free and have more free time than busy time. For now, I feel much more comfortable and less demanding to always come in the morning.
No don't say sorry. No one is perfect and for sure that even the most successful people can sometimes fail to manage their time properly. Once you missed a thing that is supposed to be in your schedule, then what can you do? Nothing but what you did is right. Just let it flow. Remember, there's still tomorrow and you can always try again next time.

There are times that we are down or weak, that is why procrastinate but experts say that it's fine. Just work according to your mood. You didn't work in a company anymore because you don't want to be controlled but that is one of the reason on why many of us want's to quit as well and be our own boss.
1389  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hope this Bitcoin dip won't be deeper? on: November 13, 2022, 09:23:51 AM
Based on recent trend in Bitcoin, this is the worst year in crypto history and the year is not over yet. I was talking to a friend this morning concerning the current crypto trend and guess what? This dude is loosing hope already.

And I don't even know how to encourage myself to invest more in Bitcoin, is it right for me to go ahead and buy the dip ?
This may be the worst year in terms of the bear because the duration of the bear this time was long compared to other years but about btc value? No it isn't. A price of 17k usd per btc was still high compared to what we have last few years ago. I remember btc did even drop to $3k after hitting then ath. People should still be thankful instead of complaining but dips are not a curse rather it was a blessing.

I guess people already know why so there is no need for me to explain this again. Who among your friend is more older in terms of involvement in crypto? If it was you then you know better so you shouldn't be affected on what he said because he knows less.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 12, 2022, 03:05:32 PM
What surprises you? I would even call the odds of CONMEBOL overpriced. If we focus on the statistics of the competition, then this region has been losing to Europe for a long time and steadily, so it is not surprising that their chances are less than those of Europe. As far as Africa is concerned, it's a fair chance of an obvious underdog - but sometimes even the underdogs win.
There are a total of 5 participants from the CAF confederation: Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia. Out of these 5 teams, I don't think that anyone except Senegal maybe capable of progressing to the second round. Even in case of Senegal, they need a draw against either Netherlands or Ecuador to have a chance of qualifying to the next round. And teams such as Morocco and Tunisia have virtually zero chance of second round qualification. The only factor that may favor them is the weather conditions in Qatar.
I am also feeling CAF teams having no chance this time because they are having tough groups even their quality is improving but still things are not good for them in this world cup which is surely looking for more improvement which will be happened in coming years as they are doing good work for the improvement of game in their region I was supporting Senegal for qualifying into next round but now with the injury of Sadio Mané I am feeling they also lost their chance with now Ecuador is better.

And they can go through into next round but still this is fair chance for both teams mostly other African teams are having not easy rounds just Ghana is speculated as they can do good against South Korea and Uruguay which is also not sure.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 12, 2022, 02:16:22 AM
To my surprise, the quotes of the teams have not changed and are now as follows:

Napoli 1.46

Milan 6.50

Inter 7.25

Juventus 12.20

Napoli's odds are really a little crazy even though they're still not in the middle of the season right now.
Looking at Napoli has been very good this season but we know sometimes Serie A is always difficult to predict and I still have a little doubt that they will be consistent until the end and actually still pretty sure that they will stumble back and eventually come back the same as last season.
After end of 14th rounds, they are undefeated probably after 15th rounds because I don't think Udinese can stop them from taking full three points so and difference is eight points form is top now what more you want from bookmakers even we all know about Serie A nature and how things works but still they are good to go for the title in this season Lazio which is also doing good and now at second spot not in frame with Milan and Inter with Juventus are teams which will be able to have top spots Atlanta is already going down and Roma is already having issues even they were favourite before start of this season.

Hopefully now they will keep this momentum after the break, and we will be able to watch them as champions with now their chances for going into last eight into UEFA Champions League is also bright as they have Frankfurt in front which is not good in Europe to handle attack from Napoli.
1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really the future of money? on: November 11, 2022, 03:51:22 PM
The dip is bringing doubt, for many people like us who believe that bitcoins are the future of money. If money has a value storage function from monetary economics
Quote
Storage of value is one of the three generally accepted functions of money,
and bitcoins with how their value can just suddenly drop, can we still defend them as the future of money?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Store_of_value
That is what they say, that bitcoin is the future of money. I guess that is because btc is new and it has amazing features which bitcoiners think better than any other payment methods. Btc is also online and the world is now slowly transitioning to online. With this perception, they think physical money are going to be obsolete soon but the government/banks are now building a digital version of their currency and it was called CBDC.

With this implementation, I think it will now be hard for btc to become the future of money since the competition is still there. Volatility is normal in btc. This is its characteristic but this doesn't affect btc in a negative way.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io 🏏 Men's T20 World Cup 2022 🏏 Discussion thread on: November 10, 2022, 09:36:05 PM

England won @2.04!

Totally deserved from the English teams who managed to keep their starting batters all the way past 100, magnificent Alex Hales getting 7 sixes before Buttler caught up, even the captain put up such a respectable show to make an easy 150 partnership.

That sets up an amazing final showdown between Pakistan and England. I'll post the betting markets here when they are up closer to the match itself on Sunday!

@LFC_Bitcoin you never know!

170/0

Really quite incredible, not a single wicket lost. I just hope they can get over the line now & be one champions. One more win, just one more.
No doubt one of the best wins for England and other thing happened on right time mean just before big final which is going to play on Sunday at MCG with after 30 years same opponent which beat them in ODI world cup by narrow margin while England were at their peak in presence of Ian Botham, Graham Gooch and Allan Lamb which were all in their best form but sadly lost their second consecutive final, but now things are completely change, and any team can win even Pakistan is unpredictable, but their entry in semifinal is miracle, and now they are into final is another big thing happened for them so any team can win with this format is amazing and giving the best entertainment.

I was checking social media and have one best things mostly Pakistani were saying if England give back their patience then surely they will be happy to lose this match too much noise on all social media channels about this final and semifinal which won by England in style.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 10, 2022, 08:24:10 PM
It is already time for Real Madrid to end their bad streak in the league. They lost five points on the previous two weeks. This caused Barcelona to take the lead from them. Tonight Real Madrid are hosting Cadiz and I'm sorry for Cadiz honestly. Because I think there is no way Real Madrid are repeating the same mistake here. I expect a solid win.

Valencia - Betis is another interesting game. Maybe it might seem as a surprise that Valencia are favoured for the win. But you should know that Betis have many players missing before this game. Therefore a quite difficult game might be waiting for them. Their form is already inconsistent these days and I won't be surprised by another point loss here.
Now after few minutes we will be watch a good game which surely bring back positive result for Real Madrid as now they are having no win in last two games and already on second spot behind Barcelona with the gape of five points which is not signal for the defending champions Cadiz is currently at the 19th spot, but their current form can create problems for Real Madrid because they are improving their quality and trying to have better results in coming matches in last five matches they have six points which is giving them good indications for better results even match is going to play at Santiago Bernabéu but still need full dedication from home side which is playing without their star player Karim Benzema and Cadiz already few times hold them here for draw as well.
1395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you sell Bitcoin anonymously without getting scammed? on: November 10, 2022, 06:05:18 PM
Selling bitcoin without kyc is really very risky to be honest, wherein there's no assurance if somethings happen on your transaction, unlike having KYC on some trusted platforms that there's a chance for you to recover your bitcoin anytime as long as you have proofs or whatsoever.  I know it's too hard to surrender our information, but for the sake of our money i think that would be a good reason to provide KYC stuff.. Just saying.
You mean to the platform which is not trusted then claim that they are non KYC compliance? well maybe the risk there is big that's why its not advisable to deal with that since we might get scam or get hack. For me at the moment Binance is the safer platform since they have built good reputation for many years and they keep evolving base on new trend tech exist.

On issue about being anonymous well for now I don't care about that since for me I go with the safest one and anonymity is not totally a big deal to me at the moment since we need to deal with it.
We have p2p and decentralized exchanges which are known to be trusted but there are still risks on them especially in p2p sites. There is a thread here which gives tips on how to avoid being scammed on p2p exchanges. That should be a big help for those who love to trade anonymously.

Even if there is a big risk on them, many people choose them over the centralized one because they value their privacy more and I think those people can afford to lose their money. Don't be too confident and say that binance is trusted because we don't know what is happening in the background. What if they are leaking our data secretly? If not then what if they got hacked and our data is going to be stolen?
1396  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: November 09, 2022, 05:55:22 PM
I would say the question that says that with a Bitcoin fall again or will bitcoin increase again this time I think the best answer to that question is that Bitcoin we fall and bitcoin was alright because the falling and the rising of Bitcoin is from the investors who buy bitcoin and investors who also released their call because when they released their coin that is no bias that contribute for bitcoin falling again so both men then released their coin and investors who is ready to buy is higher than people who is trying to say that means bitcoin will increase this things are mentioned is what caused the garage and the pollution which you cannot say yes to this question and no, without finding a good reason.
Many of us already know that the ups and downs of the price are both beneficial and I believe that a lot of us already bought lots of coins during this bear season but some are just curious to find out if what will be the next to happen. there are threads which says btc is going to rise this time and there is this thread which says that btc will go down for more.

We can check those two threads and decide if who among them are somehow correct. If we believe that btc will fall for more then we need to prepare for that. We will look for ways on how to earn more money but if not then there is no need to pressure our selves of earning more because we can simply sell our btc later on.
1397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reminders to all Crypto Lovers on: November 09, 2022, 09:09:22 AM
There are also some cases where scammers that something like this, where there is a middleman involved. On some social media or forum, there are some peer-to-peer transactions like buying/selling. Since middleman there is also got an account and these scammer will create a dummy or poser account to copy the real or legit middleman and there you go. If you don't verify carefuly here, you will fall.
Scammers are so smart that they can think of different ways to attack their victims and one of it is through emotions but this is true. Our emotions are so powerful. It can make or break us and even in trading and investing, we are also advised to not be too emotional if we want to be successful.

Anyway, a p2p platform should put an indication for the real middle man like having a little check mark beside their names or profile picture. Same on what we see on social media sites but this shouldn't be limited to this. They need to add more like adding a score/star and feedback rating. I guess that shouldn't be tampered easily compared to the first one that I suggested earlier.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Instagram supports Polygon for NFT use. on: November 08, 2022, 07:43:22 PM
Really bullish news for Matic and it can Definitely be seen in their value Matic had gone from 0.8$ to currently around 1.2$ probably Matic is definitely a good coin their team is active and making some good partnership each week like Recent Disney and more Same like Instagram high chances Twitter Reddit also support the nft ultimately it can be proven as the good news to The nft space But it is also the Reality Matic doesn't have the good nft Volume i just hope it also get some Good Volume with it
Matic is already known to be a good coin. It can solve the most common problem here in crypto which was the high fees and then the slow speed of transactions. This is why despite of the long bear, matic's value was still spotted on the rise even before this news came but for sure this can improve the momentum of matic.

An active team is one of the keys for the coin's success and many investors check this out. This could give them confidence that any problems the coin experience will always be solved eventually. Many are saying that nft's are over but it seems they are all wrong because big social media platforms are yet to adopt it. I don't see an issue with it since it will help people to know crypto later on, if they haven't yet.
1399  Economy / Speculation / Re: My advice to you regarding bear markets. on: November 08, 2022, 06:28:02 PM
Crypto won't be as promising as you say. Terra (LUNA), which is considered a potential altcoin, has made many investors go bankrupt. That's a real thing with altcoins.
That's true. Investing in altcoins are more risky compared to investing in Bitcoin, though it's not bad if you like to diversify. But you need to dig deeper in order to find a good coin, and unlikely to have the same fate as LUNA.
That's because altcoins are not a single coin like btc but there are still alts that are trusted like btc such as eth, bnb, xrp (only to name a few). People shouldn't compare luna to other trusted alts because the people who created luna are not trusted even at the start. They only use the people and they make them believe that luna is a top coin but the truth is, it was a scam coin.

What is good about btc and the crypto market is that they are volatile and there are two cycles on here. One is for selling or the bull and one is more accumulating or the bear. Those who entered recently or haven't entered yet shouldn't think that they are late but they themselves can also buy at a cheaper price if they want to or as long as they can wait for the prices to drop.

For sports bettors, people who bet on soccer, I am sure that they will first observe your tips and predictions for games say starting from the games you have posted already this weekend and next weekend to see how accurate you can be. Also since it has the ability to become a mega thread, If a couple of persons start posting their own tips based on their reasons and it is conflicting with another persons tips, it can become confusing.
And I hope he starts following the thread up closely
Some forum users can just come here to spam around all to complete post count for the week
I don't really need to play all the game posted here getting few and staking four odds every week will be better
Your advice is still good but the OP can only report those he think is spam. If only he start the thread with moderated features on, then he can freely delete any spam post. OP didn't say that we should bet all of the games that he posted. That's going to be money consuming and there is no guarantee that all that he share here will win.

We should only pick a few and that will be the games that we are familiar with. For now, a lot of us are still sceptical about this since it was still new. We can choose to observe how things go first or we can test them right away with a small bet amount.
