1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a spreadsheet for you wins and losses for tax purposes? on: March 01, 2020, 10:42:51 PM
I am not doing that since I could stop and the thing is that I am addicted in the past, the problem I have with that is that it might trigger the depression I have. I am avoiding myself from sticking to that past because that is really hard for me. I gamble just because I want to, I stop because I had to, that is what I am always thinking when I am gambling.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: March 01, 2020, 03:03:33 PM
first we should not be addicted to gambling

But that is not easy! I was addicted in the past so I know how hard it is. I just cried every night at that time since I don't want my wife to leave me. I can't stop gambling, in fact until now I am still gambling despite the fact that I am addicted in the past. I just can't stop though I can control myself the thing is that I can't remove gambling that easily in my life, that is how hard it is.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 01, 2020, 02:40:19 PM

I am just choosing between Ja Morant and Zion but I think it would be Zion. Despite the time he played, he showed us what he can do and we are now even talking about the legacy he can build despite his penguin ways of walking. Jokes aside, if he bring his team in the playoffs and won as the ROTY, that would be more amazing.
If he continues to play like this he'll surely be another Penny Hardaway or Drose in the making.

Bro, I just hope not like Drose. I really looked at Drose in the past with his aggressive way of attacking the basket and his clutches, that is really amazing and then all of a sudden, his injury end his great run. He's doing well now but I think if he's not injured, he's been added to one of the best players in the league with Lebron. Zion will be dominating the game obviously, let's just hope his injury would not affect his career.
1384  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: March 01, 2020, 02:12:57 PM
the government has almost unlimited power to popularize things so thats why its really picky about all sort of things.
So if govs will adopt crypto - they'll make sure most of the population has access to use their crypto as payment option and will greatly help to adopt other crypto also

Not sure but obviously, people should be using it since the government will just give some time for the people to use fiat and then it will all be cryptos. But always remember that this will not happen that easily, I don't think it will even happen. Governments obviously are looking at digital currencies being used in their country but it takes time, a lot of time.
1385  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: March 01, 2020, 01:47:17 PM
There are still some rural places in this world, so it will be hard for them to adopt the new system if this will be implemented in the future, which I hope won't happen, and even those person in provinces will also get mad if those things happen.

I live in the province but I think people could be used to those changes. The only problem we have right now is that obviously, the government can't afford that technology, that development. In the future though, for sure, we would be able to see a crypto currency as the main currency but for sure that would not be a decentralized currency.
1386  Economy / Economics / Re: I have Good news for bitcoiners on: March 01, 2020, 01:11:07 PM
We need proof. You can't just say that based on your realization, you should show us those things you analyzed and prove it to us. But to be honest, it has a possibility that it can reach that price even though it kind of sounds impossible but not right now. Even if big names of the investing industry invest in bitcoin, I don't think that would happen.

I dont think that big investors are ready to go into btc in current market situaiton

Exactly!

Will this really happen?

There is a possibility, but this year or next year or the next of it? No.
1387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 01, 2020, 12:36:03 PM
Wow, that is nice animation bro! Good job! I hope I could do that but I can't. I usually share something in my classroom about innovations and I always open up the blockchain technology. I know it is not something like opening up bitcoin and crypto currencies directly but still, that could give me a chance or an opportunity to pitch bitcoin in.
1388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin is used in direct value. on: March 01, 2020, 11:17:01 AM
I have always imagined how fine and pleasant it will be if we won't need to convert our Bitcoin into another currency, such that it will be spent directly in it value. At least you can spend US dollars any where within and outside the country , though this idea may not be in favour of some traders. But I feel it will bring bitcoin more universal and standing on it's direct value.whats your take about this.

It would be really great if this is happening though the problem is that it is not that widely accepted in our despite the fact that is legalized in our country. Well, we are just a third world country but still, a lot of people know about it but still not using it. Maybe because of the fact that a lot of scams are happening or maybe they are already comfortable with the exchange we are currently using since they thought they are paying bitcoin but they are not.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 01, 2020, 10:10:25 AM
he missed half of the season, so IMO, he would not be deserving for that award, Ja Morant has a bigger chances here and I believe Zion was the heavy favorite to win, but I think those chances now looks dim.

Yeah, that is the reason why I am having second thoughts about choosing Zion. I just thought of maybe Zion can do it since my friend is bragging about how he could win a lot of records and he also thought he might be picked as the ROTY, but yeah, thanks for that info. How about RJ Barrett and Kendrick Nunn? They are good players too.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Started Gambling Because You Want To Be Part Of A Gambling Campaign on: March 01, 2020, 01:01:31 AM
I think that is a stupid choice to become a gambler because you want to be a part of a gambling campaign. I am already a gambler when I started knowing what a crypto currency is, even before I am a member of this forum. Becoming a part of a signature campaign is a great thing but gambling is a choice, choose wisely.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 29, 2020, 11:05:55 PM
Another thing that im curious about; whether Zion has chance to get ROTY, considering the amount of games he played.
I remember  when Brogdon got ROTY award back in 2017, despite Embiid having much better numbers, but he lacked the games.
It doesn't matter if he will not get the ROTY as long as he qualifies to the playoffs, not getting the award is understandable since he was injured during the pre season and he was advised to rest for quite some time, but this guy is now doing what we are expecting of him and it looks like the chance of the Pelicans to advance to the playoffs is more clear now.
If he will continue playing like this or if there are more coming from him that huge chance to advance and have a playoff appearance is really possible. Like what you have said it's not a big deal if he might not be able to receive the ROTY but bringing his team to the next round will add more hypes to his name.

1392  Economy / Economics / Re: My economy Predicrions are true!! Gold is trash on: February 29, 2020, 10:16:14 PM
It fell, so what? That would be the same for other investments. Bitcoin for example did fell this week, stocks fell this month, nothing is stranger with falling prices. Gold for you might be trash but it is used for a lot of things nowadays so it might not fall right now but not for long. Bitcoin fell harder, and still it is normal.
Well unlike bitcoin, gold is tangible and can be hoard for a very long time like what China and Russia are doing to fight America. Gold has been the safe haven from the very beginning but the society is changing and so the utility. Bitcoin on the other hand offers a lot of efficiency in terms of finance and transparency while gold stays a precious fashion statement, status statement and lessening economic class. Bitcoin fell this week but it already built the foundation not beyond $8000.

Safe haven? So why it is falling now. It is said that a lot of people are looking at gold as a safe haven but there are those professionals that says gold is not reliable and still risky. Well, this may be because of the corona outbreak but still, for me it is not a safe haven. If there is one safe haven asset, I guess a lot of people would just invest there.

1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to improve the usability of bitcoin? on: February 29, 2020, 12:43:33 AM
If bitcoin really wants to become a universal currency payment system, how can we optimize the design for ease of use and make it easy for most people to get started easily and with low risk?

So what do you really want? lower the risk for the investment or for people to use it easily? In terms of usability, bitcoin can easily be used by a lot of people. It is efficient and fast in terms of transaction but the thing is that it is not that accepted by a lot of merchants and stores since it is volatile. I think we should also think that bitcoin should be stable which I don't think is a good thing since that means someone is controlling the market and that also means that there is no decentralization.
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: February 28, 2020, 11:56:36 PM
Another FUD? Really? The price fell down in an instant, so what? It fell way lower in the past and I don't really care. Coronavirus has nothing to do with the price changes that are happening and if you really are supporting bitcoin, you should know that. That bitcoin is not a failed experiment, if you really support bitcoin, from profit or not you will be there.
1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 28, 2020, 11:44:52 PM
Of course stop when you are losing, because most of the gambler can't stop when they won.
They still have money to gamble but when you are losing it is easier to stop because you don't have enough money to bet.

Because of the perception that you could still win despite the profit you are having. Instead of wrapping up, you continue gambling still wanting to earn more and never realize that they are still risking that profit they already got. I think I could stop when I won since I know how it feels when you lose and it is more disappointing to lose the money you already won.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 28, 2020, 11:21:03 PM
Celtics are a good 3 point shooting team, Bucks advantage are on the insider as its where there defense is focus, however, if these two will meat in the ECF, I would go with the Boston as they are not a one man team, everyone is willing to give their best and the are so unpredictable, and maybe they can beat the Bucks but their very good 3 point shooting.
Honestly, these two teams are my top picks in in the East so it's very hard to decide whether which one of them will make it. Hmm, I think I'll go with the Bucks. Their inside defense are stronger like what you've said and their 3 point shooting is not bad either (IMO) since Korver, Hill and Middleton were there; and take note, Giannis can now also shoot one Grin. So for me they can dominate the East this year.
Bucks as what they are showing right now, it's bigger chance for them to advance in the next round and have a good chance as well to make it into the ECF, with a much matured Giannis and a deeper lineup sorounding him. Outside and inside scorers are there plus their interior defense is also getting a good better.

And yeah, speaking of Bucks. They think that Harden is giving some jabs on the Greek Freak in an interview with the ESPN. They said they are not really good with each other but I think it is getting out now.

Quote
” When it’s all said and done, they’ll appreciate it more. I wish I was seven-feet and could just run and dunk. Like, that takes no skill at all. I gotta actually learn how to play basketball and how to have skill.”
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling affected your personal reputation? on: February 28, 2020, 10:56:15 PM
I think gambling affects the reputation of a person because most of the time when we are going into a gambling casino we will meet a person that is really good in a specific game or in the whole casino games and they won a lot of money and as a person, you can make a conclusion that he/she is a good gambler. Also, you can get a lot of reputation and respect because other people meet good at earning. Also, they are the same as us but they make a lot of studies, research and gained a lot of experience from different games. It is good too if we are trying to share our knowledge too with other people so they can earn a lot of profit to gambling.

In my case, no. The teacher saw me on my android phone in a gambling site. She(my co-teacher) did not know me whether I am a good gambler or not but still, that affected my reputation. Earning and wealth out of gambling might earn reputation but that is just because you are already a successful one if they see you still the same as you are as a gambler, that will not change anything.
1399  Economy / Economics / Re: World economy would benefit if all crypto work together on: February 28, 2020, 10:40:03 PM
I like the concept from above, especially the part with '' work smart than hard'. Somehow all crypto projects are in competition even if they try to sustain the same technology.

Obviously, they want to earn other than laying the goal of the project of the coin. We can' really remove that from the market since we are talking about profits here, we are talking about money here. The reason a lot of projects are popping up, wanting their ideas to take over and earn a huge amount of profit from investors and we are not even talking about scams here. Just imagine how hard it is to unite people if they just want to earn.
1400  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon to accept bitcoin payments directly... the real breakthrough!? on: February 28, 2020, 09:52:27 PM
For amazon user's yes, but there are a lot of those that use amazon, for example in our country where online shops like Lazada, Shoppee, and OLX are popular. I usually use Lazada and shoppee but we can' use bitcoin since they are not accepting it so we use this exchange to get credit or coins in that online shop using bitcoin. Still, we are not directly using it and still convert our bitcoin to fiat.
