I am very confused why Brendon still hasn't played Çağlar Söyüncü. He is an admired defender, but interestingly he is not currently played and considered in the league at Leicester. Manchester United will need Ronaldo's contribution in the remaining games as well to be able to qualify from their group easier. He scored an important goal against Sheriff Tiraspol to increase his passion to show a good performance in the coming games. But he really needs his finishing skills back as soon as possible. He wasted some really nice opportunities in that game and he was able to score thanks to a penalty. This is enough for people to mock Ronaldo about his scoring mostly by penalties. He is a legend anyway but I hope he continues to score different kind of goals more often.
Man utd are not really relying on Ronaldo just like they were last season, it's different now, he's not even on the starting lignup of some matches, and they did fine in some of them, in the Europa League they just have to be decent, they don't need to be good against teams like Sheriff and Omonia, second place would be enough for them, it would be easier if Sociedad beat Sheriff though. I will still support Barca for this match. they have a better chance of winning. their team had a better performance than Inter who were having a tough time. we don't know if Inter will revive his best game. but we will still see that Barca has a bigger chance of winning.

Interesting match between Nottingham and Fulham that made great turnaround, but nothing from Southampton against Aston Villa unless they score some last minute goal. There is some postponed matches because of national mourning, Brighton vs Crystal Palace, Manchester Utd vs Leeds, and Chelsea vs Liverpool. It is very important to earn 3 points this week, the teams that achieve this will take the lead. Roma vs Atalanta, AC Milan vs Napoli and Udinese vs Inter Milan, all teams will compete to get the best result. Honestly, it's hard to predict who will come out victorious, because they don't look much different. not only the groups in the europa league were drawn today but also in the conference league. my favorite to win this competition is, based on financial power alone, the english premier league club west ham united  West Ham is certainly one of the favorites to win this competition, but Villareal, the semi-finalist of the Champions League, has a better chance. It will also be interesting to see if Koln can repeat the success of Frankfurt and how well Anderlecht can. These are probably the biggest favorites to win this competition. West Ham was very close to the trophy last season and I wish them the best of luck this season, but I think Villareal is still the bigger favorite to win this competition. English clubs often have a problem in European competitions because of the very difficult and long English league. They was actually my favorites to win the Europa League Competition last season but all didn't go as plan at the final stages of the competition. They have also started quite well with a three to one goal win last week as thrybsit top on the stage with more goals. They have had enough rest and time to train so I wouldn't want to hear excuses tonight though. Reports says the home side has been absent from European competition for the past 21years and have also not be good since they came in. I don't want to conclude on how it ends, but I hope West Ham do take all three points back. I believe it’s obvious that West Ham and Villarreal are the favourites for this trophy, but from my experience in European competition’s always expect the unexpected. Certainly, I understand that there were many people who didn't like Tuchel as a coach, but I also don't understand why those same people would accept Potter as the new coach of Chelsea. This is something that I just can't seem to get my head around. They brought him for an upgrade and I really cannot find how this can be an upgrade. As far as I am concerned, Chelsea has made a big mistake this time around. As such, I wouldn't have said such a thing if there was no better option available to them.
Football is a business, and since the owners are billionaires, they want to profit from their investment as well as allow the team to manage itself to some extent rather than just continually putting money into it. Keep in mind that this is a new regime with a unique way of doing things. Because a team needs a strong academy structure to be successful in the transfer window, much like Ajax and Dortmund have been doing for years, they want a coach who develops players and put more trust in the academy players. Potter has also been making more money for Brighton from player sales and development than any other mid-table team. I think that we should not judge someone before he has had a chance to work with the team. While Graham Potter may not be as much renowned as Thomas Tuchel, I think that he should be given the chance to succeed Thomas Tuchel as I am sure that the management has their reasons for appointing him as the new manager for the club. According to what I have heard, Graham Potter has performed quite well for his last time, so I believe that he has earned the position at Chelsea that he has been given. @Tony116 his appointment reminds me of Moyes in 2013, where at Everton he was doing well but he flopped at Manchester United because he had never handled a big club, and thus I feel that Potter may suffer the same fate unless he acts ruthlessly at Chelsea. I think signing Diego Costa is one of the panics for Wolves, even though they don't have to spend a lot of money to get Costa back into the Premier League but still signing Costa is a gamble made by Wolves, Costa did have a glorious time with Chelsea but I think glory it has ended with his old age, Costa form after leaving chelsea and Atletico Madrid actually declined drastically and he even suffered a contract termination from a brazil club, but I think Costa arrival will be an emergency option for wolves after losing Sasa Kalajdzic to an injury .
In my opinion, the decline in performance while still at Atletico Madrid was due to the lack of opportunities for Diego Costa to play on the field. Not only that, Diego Costa also has several rivals on the front lines that make it difficult for him to perform freely like when he was with Chelsea I hope Wolves' decision to bring him back to the EPL has gone through a stage of deliberation that will not waste the 33-year-old's talent. Bruno Lage needs to give Diego Costa more opportunities to see the talent he has @zuzie it’s an interesting signing because he’s an experienced player, and with World Cup coming many matches will be played in a short span hence he may prove to be a smart signing. Sri Lanka is going to be a very interesting team to watch in the world cup, so I am looking forward to seeing how they do. In the Asia Cup, they have shown some really good performances. There will be a lot of sadness if they are unable to qualify directly for the World Cup. As of right now, it seems as though West Indies has the best chance of qualifying directly for the World Cup. Ireland is right behind the West Indies but I don't think they will be able to give the West Indies a good fight for the direct qualifying position. As for Sri Lanka, it is just too far behind the West Indies in terms of performance. It should be West Indies in my opinion as well.
3 out of these 4 teams are tier-1 test nations and out of them only one will qualify. There will be a lot of sadness in respective territories if any of these teams fail to qualify. Sri Lanka still has a 50-50 chance. What they need is 3 wins from their next 6 matches. In that case West Indies and South Africa will fail to qualify directly. I would prefer either West Indies or South Africa, because else the 2023 World Cup will be too South Asian-centric. 5 out of the 10 participant nations will be from South Asia with sparse representation from the other continents. Then we need to remove the word "World" from the World Cup. @Sithara007 even though Srilanka have won the Asia Cup, I don’t expect any sudden reversal in their ODI form and thus I feel that they won’t qualify directly. Obviously, a lot of things are not shaping up to look right for the ICC because they have a lot of corrupt personnel in the authorities. If the money was actually being used to improve cricket the improvement would certainly be visible. But instead, ICC reduced the funding for the associate teams. Even though the revenue is increasing day by day.
Rather than ICC trying to actually give enough money to the smaller teams so that they can improve they are actually reinvesting the money from where the revenue is being generated. That is the reason why the money keeps flowing in that area.
I am still OK if they allot a lot of money to national boards such as the BCCI and the ECB (who needs them the least). But my concern is regarding the $1 billion plus that is earmarked for "administrative purposes". I am not sure how this amount is being spent. One of the reasons why the ICC is jam packed with businessmen instead of former players is that the salaries are insanely high. First and foremost, the administrative wing needs to be cut down to size. If it was not Freya Kemp's agressive batting England wouldn't have reached 142 and she would be a great asset to the English side as she is an all rounder in the future. Mandana was in full control of this match she all by herself drove Indian to the win. Good comeback by India! WTC Final is scheduled in the Lord's again so there is hardly any chance of the subcontinent team winning there if they are up against any SENA countries, most probably Australia or South Africa. They could win if they bring their top effort but it's true for every team.

Although the weather in England is unpredictable and rain is always present, the WTC Final is always scheduled there despite the fact that it is unpredictable there. Furthermore, any SENA country will have a significant advantage over the subcontinent team in Lord's. World cup tournaments should not be held in England again and again. One more dampener on our excitement would be unwelcome. I don't know the exact reasons or how they actually choose the venue for WTC. WTC is still a new setup so there is some hope that in the future venue process will go through changes (Rotation basis), just like other ICC tournaments. Lord's has a historic factor in cricket so we can assume that's the main reason. @JSRAW I believe that India or Pakistan can definitely beat any team in Lord’s, because these two team’s have the caliber to beat any opponent irrespective of where they’re playing. Furthermore you’re correct, because I too feel that Lord being an important ground ICC is keen to grow support for this tournament by scheduling the finals there, and then they’ll start scheduling it in other countries once this tournament’s fan base grows. |
