13843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally ,a solution to fraudulent ICOs? on: November 01, 2018, 09:22:08 AM
I have seen many projects in the past that returned investors fund to them when they could not raise enough funding to move ahead with project. It is important that project also as investors are protected against FUD as well!
Yes, but those are projects that are not scams but instead failed to reach their goals. Once they didnt raise enough capital they refunded their investors and that is how it is supposed to be.
This solution is meant for those ICOs that are trying to raise as much as possible in order to run away with as much as possible and scam the investors.
13844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple buy or not? on: November 01, 2018, 09:16:06 AM
Ripple does have a lot of partnerships with established banks but guys dont forget! These banks are not using the XRP token. They are using the infrastructure and services that Ripple offer but not their token.

Predlažem sljedeću temu jednog člana našeg foruma i mislim da joj je mjesto ovdje.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5060870.0

13846  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Kompletan hrvatski prijevod Satoshijevog preglednog rada (whitepaper) on: November 01, 2018, 09:07:09 AM
13847  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Objašnjenje o Gas Limitu i Cijeni Gasa kod ETH transakcija on: November 01, 2018, 09:03:48 AM

Maksimalna cijena gasa: 50 Gwei
Gas Limit: 150 000

Gas Limit i Cijena Gasa određuju ukupni trošak vaše transakcije, prema sljedećoj formuli:
Gas Limit * Cijena Gasa

Evo i screenshota dijela razgovora:

13850  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you do with bounty earnings? on: October 31, 2018, 07:59:25 AM
If you genuinely believe in the project hold your tokens and wait for the price to go up.
It is a good idea to pay attention to the way the tokens are being distributed to ICO participants. For example, many ICOs offer huge bonuses for purchasing their tokens. I am taking about 50-70% bonus on your purchase. This will generally lead to a big dump since investors get much more than what they paid for and they are satisfied with their earnings. This drives the price down and bounty hunters sell off their tokens as a result of fear that the project has no future.
13851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Court Rules in Favor of Bitcoin, Calls Crypto Transactions Legal on: October 31, 2018, 07:52:48 AM
Not sure how much of a positive effect this will do. Cryptocurrencies are not banned in China. They have banned their citizens from participating in ICOs and they have banned offshore trading for Chinese residents but Bitcoin is not illegal.
The article also states that the Chinese are interested in the Blockchain technology.
13852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy Coins Will Get Attention in 2019 on: October 30, 2018, 10:12:31 AM
I dont think privacy coins have a big future honestly. Yes, they are excellent from the users perspective but terrible from the perspective of governments and regulators. The privacy coins will be the ones that get hit the most if and when the crypto market becomes regulated because there is no way of knowing what the money is used for and what is it financing and by whom.
13853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REALLY WORKING CRYPTOPROJECTS (not from top 50) on: October 30, 2018, 10:06:13 AM
I recently learned about a company called Crafty - https://ico.crafty.work/?detect=en-GB
They had a rather unsuccessful ICO in terms of gathered funds but they have a working product. It is used for the self-employed industry in Brazil where you can offer or search for services like handymen or maids and put them to work. Seems kind of interesting.

According to their site:

WHAT IS CRAFTY?
Crafty is a decentralized and free platform with the mission to tokenize the self-employed industry and create a new and revolutionary ecosystem for the self-employed workers and their customers, based on the power of reputation as value and currency!
Crafty's MVP, Diaríssima, has been successfully operating for almost 2 years in Brazil. It is present in 170 cities and has over 30,000 registered users.

13854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 29, 2018, 11:02:21 PM
Does anyone have a list of projects/ICOs that are based on the Stratis platform? Is a list like that available anywhere?
13855  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find a list of tokens based on Stratis? on: October 29, 2018, 10:50:47 PM
I think you'll get more info about it through their reddit --> https://www.reddit.com/r/stratisplatform/
I checked there as well but unfortunately not much info is available. They do mention the Ephelants360 project but besides that no other information is available on the first few pages.
13856  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Giving Eth To Receive Eth Scam on: October 29, 2018, 05:22:53 PM
People should really not fall for these tricks with all the information about scams available for free all over the Internet. It is like falling for those email scams when you get contacted by a US General stationed in Iraq who found $20 million and wants to send you a cut. Just tell your family there is no such thing, if people on the street dont come up to you and offer you give them 50$ in return for 100$ why would it work online.

But be aware that there are campaigns that have a smart contract where you need to send them 0 ETH or a very small amount - like 0.00001 ETH and in return you receive their native tokens. This is not a scam and I have seen that two campaigns did this successfully.
13857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The idea in the "White paper" or the finished product? on: October 29, 2018, 05:06:40 PM
Friends, I would like to hear your opinion. How do you choose a project to invest? I believe that it is better to invest in projects that already have a finished product (application, masternod, etc.) What do you think?
Of course it is better to invest in projects that have an MVP or at least are working on one. A well written whitepaper without a proper use case and no mentioning of a working product is not really a good sign.
13858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto gamble websites - Easy profit? on: October 29, 2018, 05:03:01 PM
Hi guys, do you know about some good website that gives you an opportunity to play for free and earn some big money paid in cryptocurrencies?
For example lotteries with free entries?
Thanks.
Yeah I dont really think you will have much luck in that sector. Casinos and sports betting websites dont give out free cash or crypto for that matter. If you are lucky you can find a site that will offer you a bonus on your bets/investments. For example you place a 10$ bet when you sign up and they will give you an additional free 10$ bet. But although it seems free it comes with certain conditions that have to be met like you cant bet below certain odds or you need to bet those $ 10 at least 3-5 times before it actually becomes YOUR money - which is when most users will end up loosing that free credit.

13860  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: can't send bitcoins from electrum on: October 28, 2018, 06:28:10 PM
Here is a user who had such an issue and his explanation how he fixed it, maybe it can help.

Problem:
Quote
This error is popping up on both my Electrum 2.6.2 client on Mac OS Yosemite as well as on Electrum 2.5.4 client on Tails 2.2 whenever I try to send bitcoin to another address. Please help!

His solution:
Quote
Sorry, it turns out the mistake was incredibly simple. I just logged out of
both accounts and recovered on the 2.6.2. When I tried the transfer funds
again, it asked for a password which it hadn't been doing before --
presumably because I was in a watch-only mode (which was never indicated
after an initial recovery). It was legit just a dumb user error fixed by
the equivalent of turning the power off and flipping it back on again.

Of course, like the previous members suggested make sure you have the official wallet and last stable version.
