13941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with your 13 bitcoins on: June 21, 2016, 10:22:47 PM
I would try to buy some altcoins with it, and keep half of it just as an investment. Perhaps lend them on BTCJam?
Uh, I wouldn't do this at all.  Well maybe a very small amount, but that's totally gambling.

Hold. Hold. Hold. Hold.  And then hold some more.  I think we're in for more price-rising, so I wouldn't play the altcoin market much, and I wouldn't buy shit with it.
13942  Other / Off-topic / Re: The First Thing You Bought? on: June 21, 2016, 10:21:02 PM
This has been brought up as a thread before.  I've come to view bitcoin as something that shouldn't be spent, like gold & silver.  But the only thing I ever bought with bitcoin was some silver quarters from Provident Metals, and that was last year.  I won't be buying things with bitcoin any longer.  If I get rid of what I have, it'll be for fiat, not for goods or services.
13943  Economy / Economics / Re: Ridiculous mentioning of BTC selling on: June 21, 2016, 10:18:28 PM
Financial journalists and pundits always try to explain every little (and big) price move.  For stocks, bonds, gold, silver, and bitcoin.  Sometimes there is no reason to point to, but they'll try anyway.  And sometimes the reasons are just fucking stupid, as in the case you pointed out.  I've learned over the years to take business reporting with a huge grain of salt.
13944  Economy / Economics / Re: Now that prices are dropping, should I still hold my coins? on: June 21, 2016, 04:14:51 PM
OMG this is bitcoin--we've had this kind of volatility before.   Why do people want to start selling when the price is falling?   If you believe in it then just sit tight.  Lower prices should mean a better time to buy.
13945  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to sell? Or to buy? on: June 21, 2016, 04:06:53 PM
Shut up and buy.  If you aren't buying and already own some, hold.  Don't sell when the price is tanking,  that's a sucker move.
13946  Economy / Economics / Re: CNBC: "Bitcoin is the new safe-haven asset" on: June 21, 2016, 03:31:52 PM
Safe haven.  That not only implies it's safe, it means it explicitly. Bitcoin doesn't qualify.   Look at what the price action has done in the last couple of days and tell me that's anywhere near safe.
13947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you DAO Haxor on: June 21, 2016, 02:40:52 PM
Lol sell your eth, the bottom on that premined ipo scam is gonna fall out and spill blood on the streets.

Im pretty sure I should buy when there is blood in the streets  Grin
Right, IF what you're buying is worth buying to begin with.  Sometimes things get slaughtered for a reason.  Would you have bought Enron stock back in 2001 just because it was cheap?
13948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin have lost more than $100 in a day... on: June 21, 2016, 02:37:04 PM
More sellers than buyers, that's usually what accounts for this.  Bitcoin is volatile,  but we all knew that.  I'm holding and I'm not going to sell.
13949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price freaking down. what will happen during halving ? on: June 21, 2016, 04:30:47 AM
Bitcoin has been this volatile before.   People are taking profits--totally understandable,  and it happens in all markets.  I don't know what thr halving is going to bring, though.   Should be interesting.
13950  Other / Meta / Re: how to upgrade my rank in btctalk faster so I can earn bitcoins? on: June 21, 2016, 02:11:17 AM
If you want some fastest way to get high rank account, i suggest to buy some accounts on legit sellers just look some thread on digital goods Smiley. I also suggest that if you are buying high rank account try to hire some escrow to ensured that you are not getting scam Smiley.

Why you guys are suggesting a newbie to buy a high rank account. it is completely you are supporting and encouraging spamming here.
he is just a newbie and don't even know how to and what to posts. first he should learn about everything.
do you think the forum developers are stupids to make these ranking groups? if a newbie get a high rank account, he'll surely get b banned by posting unsubstantial posts..

A new user would be a newbie because first he should learn about the forum and they way of posting. and it will almost take 2 months. after two months it will become member and a member can join a signature campaign easily..

I do't think 2 months work is bad for earning good money here.
Well said.  People don't think of the consequences of telling some non-english speaking noob to buy an account.   It's not a good idea for anyone.  You're right, it encourages spam and account farming and all that crap.
13951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES Price speculation on: June 21, 2016, 02:07:47 AM
I think it will reach 100k-200k satoshi if the dev starts delivering the promised goals. Right now it's at around 40k, I expect it to slowly climb as people dump and new investors see potential. It's honestly a good idea and the people behind it some serious, but saying it will be worth $20 is ludicrous. I don't see it outgrowing Ethereum.

Anyone know when Polo is going to add wave

Not looking good as it was a shady launch
Most of them are shady.  Their mere existence is shady, and waves should be no different.   Boy, it's at 40k sat right now, along with Lisk.  I wasn't expecting quite a drop, but it doesn't shock me in the least.
13952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can people be buying eth right now? on: June 21, 2016, 01:44:55 AM
Yeah, there's no accounting for why people buy shitty-ass coins in general.   Is eth supposed to be dead or what?  I don't read crypto news, since I don't understand 99% of it anyway.  I'm sure it's all the bagholders keeping eth afloat.
13953  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will break $800 they said... on: June 21, 2016, 01:22:18 AM
Yes. I personally guaranteed to double the money of multiple Balkan warlords by 12 tonight. If I don't then the nanobombs coursing through my bloodstream turn me into something resembling a pizza dropped from the Empire State building. Looks like it's all over for me.
Klaus Kinski is spinning in his grave.   KK would have loved bitcoin had he lived to see it.

This is just a speed bump.   You can't rocket to 780 from 430 in a matter of less than a month and not expect that.  But whether bitcoin goes up or down, kwuckduck's line is the same.
13954  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good idea to buy bitcoins now? on: June 21, 2016, 12:56:26 AM
Just bought $20 worth, with the intention of holding.  We just broke $700 on the downside so I'm not betting the farm.
13955  Economy / Speculation / Re: Well this has been a goddamn stressful 30 minutes on: June 21, 2016, 12:39:15 AM
What chart are you watching and what is it telling you?   I see we're now at 706, and yeah that's a pretty good correction.  But I'm holding.  Bitcoin has been thru worse than this.
13956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Waves , exchanges on: June 20, 2016, 12:23:10 PM
Whatever it is that's trading on Yobit--I think it's the actual coin--is getting slaughtered.   I haven't checked poloniex or any other exchange.   Today is the first day of trading, right?
13957  Other / Off-topic / Re: Two types of Bitcoiners, Which are you? on: June 20, 2016, 03:20:20 AM
I hold bitcoin as if it were precious metal.  You would sell gold to buy the Lamborghini,  and I would sell bitcoin likewise.   I really don't think bitcoin is going to catch on as a currency,  but who knows.
13958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The geeks are the new millionaires in this digital age. on: June 20, 2016, 02:48:25 AM
Well we can all dream, right?

Don't know how many people still have coins mined in 2009-2010.  That guy paid 10k btc for a pizza, and that's basically how bitcoin was viewed back then.   And if there are btc millionaires because of holding coins for years, I haven't seen any here.
13959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exactly 1 day before the Bitcoin Halvening I am dumping all BTC into ETH on: June 20, 2016, 01:32:14 AM
Exactly 1 day before the Bitcoin Halvening I am gonna take a dump
Exactly one day before the dump, I am halving a beer.

Lol eth.  I suppose if you were going to buy, now would not be the worst time to do so. If. If. If.
13960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sudden drop in price: Have we missed any latest news? on: June 20, 2016, 01:22:05 AM
Well there was no news to account for the rise, was there?  The halving isn't news.   And there is no news to account for that drop.   It's just market forces in action,  that's all.  And as I write this, we're back at about 760.  Crazy.
