From what I've seen as user, I think that (for BTC-like coins) they have one wallet they check for each and every user one address (per user) for inputs only. Nah, you can deposit to different addresses. When you click to "generate address" it generates address and attach to your account name (i think exchange keeps this information in SQL database). But only for one deposit operation (it can depends through exchange). Yes, I guess it keeps one address per user in the DB and you can create a new one if you want to (at some exchanges) replacing the old address in the DB. It's still one address per user in every moment.

Cat de mare e tranzactia - in bytes 2. Desi suna a bascalie, cam asa stau lucrurile.
Astfel vor ajunge direct acolo unde ti-i trebuie fara ca tu sa iti bati capul.

Although you seem well intended, your views are unrealistic. A world where you can buy anything using Bitcoin, from coffees to yatchs.
Do you know anybody that would accept to stay at least 20 minutes (and up to 3 days) in line to wait for his payment to get accepted and go home from the grocery store? A world where you can get all the privacy you want.
Bitcoin is not as anonymous as many would think nor would like. A world without banks. A world without old currencies, that only create inflation. A world where you pay only the taxes you wanna pay and not what you are forced to pay.
Governments will resist badly against these. They're goals very hard to achieve. And you know that if you will not pay takes you'll need to pay for school, road access, and so on, even get your personal bodyguards since there will be no police (no funds). Yes, Bitcoin is a very good way to transfer money between countries, evade taxation (although this will not last much longer), experiment a revolutionary way to see money / asset / value and public data storage. but most of the benefits you written about don't apply. Sorry. And you forget the human greed. Anything that holds value attracts dreamers and speculators.

Hiding the trollbox used to be one of the first settings I've done at exchanges. I will surely not miss it. It's too hard to moderate such spambox, really, so I think that it's a good decision.

However if you want to start a new, delete that folder and reinstall Electrum again from the beginning. It should not ask you for a password anymore.
Backing up the old wallet could be useful, even if the password is not known now. ...Better safe than sorry.

i dont have alipay and they ask 190 usd for a accelaration for a transaction which is only 0.005 BTC lol
ViaBTC is for free. I think that you confused it with btc.com accelerator. Go to ViaBTC accelerator right in the first seconds after hour (sync your clock, you'll need it) and accelerate f062aea715896926dd1f8dcf0e093a2a76f9bb8e0bbb147b867ebfbab3f7841c The rest of transactions should not need accelerating, the fee for them is (way too) big

Hello,
I and a friend are trying to develop an exchange, at last to learn how it works. At moment, we are using bitcoinjs-lib.
1) An exchange creates a wallet per user ? Or does it have a single wallet which makes all transactions ? 2) If the exchange keeps a wallet per user, how can it protect the user's private key in case of unauthorised access in database ? Crypt and decrypt it with user's password is an option, but it implies in ask for password every transaction.
Regards,
From what I've seen as user, I think that (for BTC-like coins) they have one wallet they check for each and every user one address (per user) for inputs only. As user you have one address to send your funds to. After your funds get one confirmation there's a big chance your funds are sent away (used as inputs for others' withdrawals). If you withdraw, your inputs will most likely not be from the one address where you sent the money to. Also this makes it easier to use cold storage as needed. There's no such thing as user's private key in such online services. All private keys are the exchange's and they are used accordingly. And if a breach happens, we better pray that most of the funds are protected in cold storage.

The earned rewards for 1000 waves leased: Waves: 0.00589 Mrt: 6.57
What is the minimum amount of WAVES you send? If the amount is smaller than the minimum, is it stacked and the total sent after the threshold is reached, or is it "lost"?

OGNasty sent my escrowed bitcoin to an unapproved wallet and refuses to provide proof of our conversation and did not request a signature guarantee from the original sending wallet.
He literally made a fake QUOTED conversation of me saying to send my bitcoin to an unapproved address.
To make matters even greater - he now offers the worst customer service I've ever seen from an AA rated escrow agent.
This only leaves two possibilities: (1) Someone is hacking BitcoinTalk and using OGNasty escrow to scam people
Or
(2) OGNasty is scamming people
Or (3) somebody has impersonated OgNasty with something pretty close to the original account/info and you have fallen for that. I has happened before: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1335455.0A simple screen shot would provide this answer. But he refuses.
It's you the one who has to provide proof for anything.

Bombardier, Gawlea, ati avut probleme cu primele retrageri de la banca? S-au cerut acte in plus? btcxchange a putut sa ofere aceste acte? Sorry daca e partial off-topic.
am folosit ING si n`am intampinat asemenea probleme pana acum. Multumesc, e un raspuns incurajator.

if someone could give me the latest as possible chain, or a node address, i will add a few nodes
I do have a chain, but I am sure that's not the oldest. I will wait some more days, maybe somebody has a good one and if nobody else posts, I'll come back with a downloadable chain. In case I didn't come back please PM me and remind me about this.

I'm started to get annoyed with ViaBTC because of submission limit per hour.
You should be grateful that they do this for free, really, no matter what the restrictions are. These 100 people per hour have no mercy nor giving me a chance. They're greedy nowadays. How could I pay my bills on time if they don't give me a chance to accelerate? Some are greedy, some have troubles like you, some help people with troubles like yours. Your statement is not really fair... There are too many transactions that "need help".

I've leased you some WAVES. Now I have another question(s): How will I see what benefits I've got (when the time comes) from lending you WAVES? I somehow expected some pool like interface where I can enter my wallet address and see what I receive(d) from you. For now I'll have to search my incoming transactions for whatever comes from 3P4MRJvttkghWsXxGZ61kqd2M79GtLujoey?

UPDATESince it was rejected by node, it was returned back to the sender. He sent me again the amount this time with a higher fee. https://blockchain.info/tx/a871fc14eecbae818a99581af8eeb2cf0173875dd5ebe0a664ff459f1044b8d1How can I find the parent transaction of this one? In Coins.ph, it finally appears that I am receiving this amount "waiting for confirmation". Unlike the first send, it doesn't appear. So this one has a chance. However, it still says that transaction does not exist. Please HELP! I want to learn how to find this parent transaction. Thanks! Near the red U (in advanced mode) you can see (0.26027836 BTC - Output). Click the Output link. Reminder: for advanced mode you can click on "show scripts and coinbase". I'm glad for the new turn of events. Your employer is not a fraud after all. Edit: there's still quite a chain of unconfirmed transactions you'll have to wait to confirm and the fees are still small.

I also think his stunt is hypocritical by the way, and I think he fucked over "monero enthusiasts" a lot more than the "pump & dump" crowd, because the pump& dump crowd is probably playing the market really well right now and making a ton out of these 25% price fluctuations.
I agree. He actually helped the day traders, since they were probably prepared to sell at the time of the "announcement". The trading newbies were the main losers, I guess. And the XMR hodlers may have just bought seeing that the 50$ barrier was smashed and hoping that the 100$ is near. Disappointing...

|
|
Although I expected a dump after the announcement, I am disappointed that there was none. Let's see how big the dump is going to be... ...And it was not nice. Monero needs more good news, whether they are announced grandiosely or not.

If you have waves( leased or not) in your own wallet ,the waves platform team pays you a % of Waves Community Token(WCT) every month(day 15). You must have the waves in your wallet
So even if I lease my WAVES I still get WCT as usual. Interesting. As soon as new ICO´s are integrated on the Waves Platform, our node will it integrate too his ID to start to accept his token fees. At this moment our node is receiving the fees of Mercury(MRT). But the distribution is not possible because the TX fee on waves is superior that the reward on MRT that I must pay. In the next future the platform will grow with the new DEX , the new ICO´S and consequently the TX´will grow too.
I hope that this will happen very soon, it will be a great addition. You gave me great answers, you could put some onto the first page for others too. Thank you. I guess that I will do the steps to lease you some of my WAVES for start and hopefully after the first month I will lease more.
|
|
|
If I lease Waves to you (or anybody), will I get the WCT for those Waves or will you get them? Will you give me the same amount of WCT like I would have not leased, more, less? I would like to understand what I lose if I lease Waves and also what I gain.
You wrote a nice tutorial about getting waves and leasing waves, but I missed or not understood my benefits in doing so.
